Proverbs 28:20 ‘A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.’
DAILY READING; Hebrews 10:19-39; Exodus 11:1-12:51; Proverbs 4
Robert William “R.W.” Schambach was a bold, powerful, revival preacher. For fifty years he conducted evangelistic crusades that touched many lives around the world.
However the power and anointing upon his ministry came through serving under a well-known powerful evangelist named A.A. Allen.
In the 1950’s, Schambach was already pastoring a church when he became intrigued by the outstanding miracles he saw in the crusades held by evangelist A.A Allen.
As he regularly attended these crusades, he became acquainted with A.A Allen, who invited him to become a part of his ministry team.
Schambach chose to submit to A.A. Allen and so left everything else and began to faithfully serve under his ministry. He apprenticed with A. A. Allen for five years, traveling throughout the U S, helping with the crusades, preaching in some services, and doing the advance work.
Finally, Schambach felt God calling him to begin his own ministry. With Allen’s blessings he left and later founded 4 tent churches in large cities and began his popular radio program, ‘The Voice of Power’.
Schambach’s later ministry was far greater than his earlier ministry. His preaching was filled with power and mighty signs and wonders. He was eventually used by God to preach all over the world and his television program greatly impacted people in over 200 nations.
When Schambach was faithful in serving under A.A Allen, God gave him a better and greater ministry.
Indeed when God can trust us to be faithful in the ordinary, He will take us to the extraordinary.
Our faithfulness in the little things will determine our fruitfulness in great things.
Proverbs 28:20 says ‘A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.’
Sometimes, people want to make haste and rush to get to the topmost positions in life. While the race to be a leader is crowded, the few who emerge as winners are those who have proven to be faithful servants.
Being faithful in the ordinary is a vital part of every true leader’s character curriculum.
In the world today, many are on a career path, but few are on a character path. Many want the stars but not the scars.
As believers, there is a process God often passes us through before we can see His promises manifest.
David was anointed to be the king as a young man, yet God sent him back to serve in the shepherds fields. He had a king’s anointing, yet he was taking care of sheep.
If David had not passed the test of being faithful in the routine, he would never have gotten to the throne.
We have to be spiritually sensitive to know where God has placed us per time. Once you know you are where God has ordained for you, though it may seem ordinary, continue to serve faithfully and give your best.
As you remain faithful in the little where God has put you now, it is only a matter of time before you will be entrusted with much.
We can become frustrated because we know we have more in us, but we’re not seeing it happen. But if you are in a place of obscurity, always keep it in mind that God is preparing you for something greater.
In the hidden place, you’re being prepared for where God is taking you. Your character is being developed. Your spiritual muscles are getting stronger. And when you are through with your preparation it will be time for your manifestation.
Indeed as we continue to serve faithfully where we are, in due time, God’s rewards will ultimately locate us.
PRAYER: Lord, please help me to be faithful in serving You where I am right now. As I seek You first in everything, surely in due season, I shall be elevated to the great and glorious place You have ordained for me in Jesus Name.
