2 Samuel 6:11. ‘And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.’

On Wednesday, 22 June 2005, the BBC and other major global News outlets, reported the amazing story of a young girl rescued by lions from her kidnappers in Ethiopia.
According to the police report, the 12-year-old girl was coming home from school on 9th June, when she was abducted by 7 men for the purpose of a forced marriage.
Such kidnapping is common in Ethiopia. The United Nations estimates that more than 70 percent of marriages in rural Ethiopia are by abduction.
However, as the men were beating this young girl for refusing the forced marriage, a pride of lions emerged from the forest and chased the men away. These lions stood guard around the terrified girl for about 12 hours. It was only as the police approached that they left the girl and went back into the forest.
This story was especially amazing because this was at a time when lions were frequently attacking humans and farm animals in the region.
Some lion experts, interviewed by the BBC, were skeptical and said the lions were probably preparing to eat the girl when the police arrived. Other experts suggested that the lions may have spared the girl because her crying may have sounded like the mewing sound from a lion cub.
Whatever the case, one thing everyone seemed to agree on was the fact that the young girl’s rescue by lions was a big miracle.
Indeed God is able to perform strange miracles of deliverance that baffles people and causes them to ponder.
When Daniel was delivered from the lions’ den, it astounded king Darius and caused the heathen nation to turn to God.
Those lions were so powerful that when the next victims were thrown into the pit, they broke their bones before they even hit the ground. Yet God preserved Daniel in the midst of these ferocious beasts.
In the same way, God is able to deliver us from formidable situations or things that appear too tough for us to handle.
As the year draws to a close, some of us may feel trapped by financial pressures or other issues of concern. Rather than fret, let us trust God for a divine rescue from every tough challenge.
Perhaps, you may be thinking the remaining 3 months in this year are too short to accomplish anything much, but it was within three months that God dramatically elevated and promoted Obededom. [2 Samuel 6].
Likewise in these remaining three months, God is able to catapult us to heights we never imagined.
Today being the first day of October, will indeed mark in our lives a new season of divine visitations. We shall be seeing the God of wonders release to us uncommon favour, speed and acceleration.
Just as Obededom brought the ark of the Lord into his house, and was instantly blessed, as we position ourselves for a divine visitation, we shall record dramatic testimonies of signs and wonders.
By the Blood of Jesus, we shall experience divine rescue out of every tight situation in our health, finances, family and relationships etc.
Indeed as we keep praising God in this season, our story will keep moving from glory to greater glory.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for causing me to experience Your divine visitation in this season. Please help me to spiritually position myself to see Your wonders in this new month in Jesus Name.
