Jeremiah 29:13-14 ‘And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity…,’
DAILY READING – 1 Corinthians 11:17-34; 2 Kings 5; Obadiah 1
The deepest gold mine in the world is Anglogold Ashanti’s Mponeng gold mine in South Africa.
From the ground level, it extends over 4 kilometres below the surface of the earth. The trip from the surface to the bottom of the mine takes over an hour. Yet, every day, 4,000 workers descend into the mine through elevators—or cages. These triple-decked cages fit 120 people at a time. Though the first 1.6-mile shaft takes only 6 minutes to descend, a second shaft takes workers deeper down, and the last part is only accessible by foot or vehicle. Because temperatures increase the closer one gets to the earth’s core, underground in the mine it is so hot that ice has to be pumped down to cool the tunnels. To keep the hot temperatures from becoming deadly, ice mixed with salt is pumped down from the surface; huge fans then blow air over the ice, forming a controlled cold-air system within the mine. This means that many tunnels can be kept at an almost bearable temperature. However, without this, the gold mine would quickly become a deathtrap as many of the miners would die from the heat.
Obviously, this process of digging for gold requires a lot of sacrifice, yet amazingly people daily pay the price, because of how precious gold is deemed.
As we seek for greater open doors we must be willing to pay the required spiritual price to gain access.
As believers, there are great treasures destined for us through redemption, but they are only accessible to those who are willing to pay the spiritual price to go deep enough into God’s Word to locate them.
We have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, God has freely given all things to us in Christ Jesus, but it takes the depth of revelation by the Spirit for us to have access.
Jesus said to Peter in Luke 5::4, “launch out into the deep and let down your net for a draught”.
It is only when you launch out into the deep that you can get a net breaking catch.
The treasures are available, the issue is ability to pay the required price to access them.
Jesus said in Mathew 13:44, that the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hid in a field; which when a man had found, he hid it, then went and sold all that he hath, and bought that field.
Divine treasures are available to those who will diligently seek God’s Word. From His Word comes favor, blessings, promotions, miracles, signs and wonders and all that we desire. When get into the depth of the Word, we will encounter God’s presence which turns around every form of captivity in a man’s life. God said in Jeremiah 29:13-14 ‘And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity,’
When we diligently seek God and find Him, there are great blessings that follow us..In His Presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Whatever we desire today can be found in God’s Presence.. Let us therefore make a fresh commitment today to pay whatever price it takes to encounter God’s tangible Presence. Certainly, when we find Him, there shall be a reward and our expectations shall not be cut off.
PRAYER: Father please grant me the grace to dig into the depth of Your Word where Your Spiritual treasures are found. As I seek You with all my heart may Your tangible Presence be made known to me in Jesus’ Name.
