Monica and Anthony Gardener were ministers of the Gospel who served in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. In 1992 Monica became pregnant and believed God had a significant destiny for her child.
After her daughter, named English Gardner was born, the child appeared full of athletic potentials. While in high school, she began to win competitive races and break athletic records. It looked like she was indeed on her way to fulfilling her great destiny, but suddenly things began to fall apart in their family. Her mother, Monica, was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and given only months to live, while her father, Anthony, suffered a stroke. Few months later English Gardner herself tore the muscle around her knee joint and doctors had little hope she would ever run again. Despite these great difficulties, the family didn’t give up hope. As they prayed and stood in faith, things began to turn around, the affliction passed and English and her parents recovered.
English continued with her athletic career, and went on to become a decorated Olympian and established as one of America’s most celebrated female athletes.

Trials, storms and tempests cannot stop the journey to your destiny as long as you abide steadfast in faith. In Acts 27, Apostle Paul faced a storm on his way to an appointment with destiny. He was going to Rome to meet Emperor Caesar, so that he could be set free from captivity. But a terrible storm hit their ship leading the passengers to lose hope of survival. In the midst of the storm, Paul prayed and received a Word of assurance from an Angel of the Lord: that they would all arrive safely to Rome. But the situation didn’t immediately change, and even appeared to get worse as they suffered a ship wreck. But in the end the Word of God came to pass and all the passengers were saved and arrived safely to Rome.
Sometimes God’s promises may appear to be just the opposite of what you see. But it is often said that it is darkest just before the day dawns. So do not quickly give up hope in any trial. In the middle of the storm declare words of faith in the face of fear, talk strength in the face of weakness, declare health in the face of sickness, talk victory in the face of defeat.
The reason the enemy is fighting so hard – sending financial troubles, sickness, family problems, etc – is to distract you from your appointment with destiny. But the significant call upon your life cannot be aborted as long as you remain steadfast in faith. Today, as you keep blessing the Lord at all times you will soon breakthrough every limitation and break forth to the glorious fulfillment of your amazing destiny.

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You because surely Your promises to me will soon come to pass. Please grant me the grace to be steadfast and immoveable, continually giving You all the glory until my miracle comes in Jesus’ Name.
