Isaiah 43:2 ‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you’.

DAILY READING – 2 Timothy 2; Jeremiah 7-8; Psalm 122

In 2020, CBN News and other News outlets reported the miraculous rescue of Pete Brown and his friends who had been lost at sea.
On December 20, 2019, Pete Brown with two crewmates had set sail from Japan to Hawaii. They took off around thanksgiving day with the hope of arriving their destination on Christmas day.
But along the way, their vessel ran into difficulties during a storm. As the sea became rough, the boat tipped over and they were upside down. As they cried out to God for help, they were eventually able to get the boat upright again.
But the storm had broken their mast and also damaged their communication devices, making it impossible for the men to communicate for help.
After their family noticed that they could no longer communicate with them, the US Coast Gaurd was contacted. A search for them with airplanes began, but to no avail.
Lost at sea, the situation of these three men looked more hopeless as the days passed by. Yet they held on to God through constant prayers and refused to give up hope.
Finally, after nine days, on December 29, their prayers were answered! The men saw a boat in the distance. For a half-hour, they used mirrors to flash sunlight at the boat until they were seen and rescued. The men were finally returned to land on January 2 and reunited with their families in Hawaii.
They gave God the glory for their miraculous rescue.

At the red sea, the children of Israel seemed to be out of options! They had their backs against the wall, with pharaoh and his army in hot pursuit. But when they cried out to God, He told them to stand and see His salvation.
Anytime we come to waters too high for us, we need to stand still and hope in God’s salvation. Despite the raging of the sea God is at work, He is making a way.
Even if surrounded by contrary situations we must keep hoping on God and calling upon His Name, trusting that His salvation is on the way.
No matter what comes your way, you must remain strong and very courageous. Never quit or give up hope, God is always there and He is working in your favor.

In Isaiah 43:2 God says, ‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you’.

This verse makes it clear that even in the worst of situations, God is able to make a way for us. When we pass through the water and the fire, we are not remaining there, rather we are only going through. And we come out on the other side better than when we went in.
Despite what may seem like a negative situation, God is working out His higher purpose in your life. He is the Author and finisher of your faith. That means, what He begins in you, He also completes it. He will never leave you nor forsake you as long as your hope and trust is in Him. This is why you must keep standing in faith.
And faith comes by hearing God’s Word. Therefore there is a need to keep filling our hearts continually with the Word, until our actions are dominated and controlled by what God says.
No matter, how long you may have been ‘drifting at sea’ in that situation, surely there is an end and your expectations shall not be cut short.
In this season of recovery, you are going to experience a divine rescue. God will indeed answer your prayers and you will see speedy progress, acceleration and restoration in every area of life in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to make your Word top priority in my life, so that I can always walk by faith, and not by sight. I thank You Lord, for enabling me to experience Your divine rescue, restoration, recovery in this season in Jesus Name
