James 5:16[AMP] ‘The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].’

Pritchard Adams and his wife Dana have served as missionaries to Haiti for 28 years.
In her book “Into The Storm,” Diana testifies of the power of prayer in their lives.
While they were on a visit to Canada, one morning her husband felt a pain in his head so severe that he collapsed to the bathroom floor. Paramedics arrived and whisked him away to the hospital where doctors discovered he had suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm; an artery at the base of his skull had burst.
While they performed surgery to stop the bleeding, Pritchard slipped into a coma. Because nearly half of all people who suffer brain aneurysm usually die, doctors didn’t think Pritchard would live.
However, as the news spread and many people started praying and fasting for Pritchard, miracles began to happen.
Pritchard beat the odds and survived. But two days later, he had a cardiac arrest and a second artery exploded in his head. This time doctors were certain he would not make it.
Dana then began to engage in spiritual warfare. With her husband still in a coma, she stood by his bed and started rebuking the spirit of death.
Pritchard confused the neurosurgeons, when he again survived the second artery that ruptured.
However, they remained unsure he would wake up from the coma and predicted that even if he recovered he would have permanent and severe brain damage.
Dana’s faith never wavered. She continued to pray, asking the Lord to give them a miracle.
The Lord did give her a miracle. After a 26-day coma, Pritchard woke up and did not suffer the neurological impairment doctors had predicted.
After 52 days in the hospital, Pritchard fully recovered, and left the hospital in good condition.
Today, Pritchard lives an active life and his life remains a powerful testimony of the power of prayer.

Certainly, prayer is the key that opens impossible doors.
Our prayers can cause divine reversals and turnarounds, just like Elijah’s prayers did.
James 5:16 says Elijah prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it stopped raining for three years. He prayed again that it would rain and it rained.
The Amplified Bible translation of James 5:16 says “The earnest [heartfelt, continued] prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”
When we pray, we have the potential of igniting the explosive dynamic power of Heaven in our circumstances.
No matter what may be happening around you, through prayer you can overturn any verdict and transform any condition.
Prayer is the link that allows us to access Heaven’s help and to release God’s power on earth..
We must understand that we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
Therefore, we must address the spiritual cause of issues, if we want to get to the cure.
This is why we engage in fasting and praying.
Fasting and praying is a spiritual weapon that shatters demonic barriers and makes the way for the flow of miracles.
Therefore, as we step into our season of fasting and praying, we can expect to see the mighty release of God’s power that will destroy hitherto impossible barriers in our lives.
Let us get ready to experience God’s yoke breaking power as He goes before us to break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron ( Isaiah 45:2).
Because praise precedes the victory, let us therefore begin giving God worthy praise because of the wonders He will do in our lives this year.

PRAYER: Lord, by Your grace I draw the strength to persevere in this season of prayer and fasting so that I can experience all the good things You have ordained for me in this new year in Jesus Name.
