Proverbs 19:21 ‘There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.’

DAILY READING; Acts 19:21-41; Judges 11:34-12:15; Job 40

Anna Tomaseck was a young Christian girl, just finishing her nurses’ training, when she felt God calling her to serve in India. She delayed answering the call until she became ill with tuberculosis and was near death. When God miraculously healed her, she realized that her life had been preserved for a purpose. So she answered God’s call and went to serve in India. There, she spent 10 years using her nursing skills in schools and hospitals.
God gave her a vision to raise unwanted children, who had been deserted or orphaned. Anna’s ministry started as she opened a home for unwanted children. Because the home was close to a strip of land separating Nepal and India, it became known as “the Last House in India.”
At that time Nepal was closed to missionaries or any type of evangelization. However, the border patrols allowed those seeking medical help or bringing a child to “The Last House” to cross freely.
Anna raised about 420 children within 40 years. She brought the children up with teachings of Jesus and His love.
Several of the Nepalese babies she raised up later became leaders and helped to spread the Gospel in their nation which had been hitherto closed to Christianity.
Anna Tomaseck is credited with opening the doors of Nepal to the Pentecostal movement as much of the leadership of the Pentecostal churches In Nepal traced their roots back to her ministry.
In a remote part of the world, where missionaries were denied entrance, God used Anna Tomaseck to raise unwanted babies who would grow up to build the Church in India and Nepal.

We do not have to fall sick like Anna Tomaseck or have a dramatic encounter before choosing to answer God’s call.
The truth is that each of us have a divine call upon our lives and our lives will only find full expression when we choose to follow Gods purpose.
God’s plans are always better and far greater than what we could ever achieve on our own.
In His plan, grace, favor, supernatural opportunities and divine connections are all lined up to help us arrive at our preordained place of glory.
However, frustration in life results if we leave God’s plan to follow our own paths. No matter how beautiful our own devices, it is only God’s plan that can stand the test of time.

Proverbs 19:21 says ‘There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.’

The counsel of the Lord will always be superior to our concepts. His thoughts and ways are higher than our own. When it is the Lord doing a thing, it will always be marvelous in our eyes. This is why we must never allow anything to hinder us from answering His call.
As this year begins we need to re-examine our hearts to see if we are truly living for God or living for self.
To enjoy divine open doors, we must purpose to pay the required price of following God’s plan for us this year. You can’t give yourself wholly to Him and not experience glory in your story. Indeed you can’t be truly sold out to God and not stand out on the earth.
Therefore this year, service to God must be our distinguishing identity because that will be the pathway to greater open doors.
As you begin to walk in faith following what God has put in your heart, miracles will follow.
As we seek God’s counsel through consistent study of the Word, prayers and fellowship with the Spirit, it is only a matter of time before we see the full manifestation of His glorious plan for us this year.

PRAYER
Father, I thank You for granting me the grace to follow Your plan for my life. Please help me to do what is spiritually required of me in order to see Your purpose manifest in my life this year in Jesus’ Name
