Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

DAILY READING; Acts 28:17-31; 1 Samuel 6-7; Psalm 53

Velmer James Gardner was a prominent evangelist of the Voice of Healing revival that swept through America in the 1950s.

After answering the call to ministry, Velmer was ordained by the Assemblies of God Church in 1942.
While serving as a pastor, he was gripped by the desire to see more of the power of God in his ministry.
He was deeply impressed by how, at the time, God was using older ministers such as Smith Wigglesworth and Dr. Charles Price. When Velmer asked God why he wasn’t seeing the same great anointing in his own ministry, God told him “You can if you’ll pay the price.”
Velmer then determined to pay the price and he began to fast and pray for hours each day to see the presence of God become a reality in his life.
However, despite his fervent prayers, there still seemed to be no great rriracles in his ministry. Those were difficult days for him as the devil tried hard to discourage him from continuing to pray..
In March 1947, Velmer Gardner was deeply shocked to hear that the two great men of God he admired, Charles S. Price and Smith Wigglesworth, both died within a few days of each other. He then cried out to God, asking what would now happen to the many broken and hurting people who still needed miracles and healings. He then became more determined to manifest God’s power.
As Velmer continued to seek God, he finally began to see the healing revival he had been praying so.long for..
In 1948, he went to Oregon to hold services for another Pastor, and the meetings that started small, quickly grew as healings and miracles began to occur.
From then on great manifestations of power began to flow in Velmer Gardner’s ministry. He too began to walk in great anointing and eventually became one of the notable revivalists of the Voice of healing revival of the 1950’s.

It certainly takes patience to obtain the promises of God.
If the vision tarries, we must wait for it, because in the end, it will surely speak. All days of our appointed time we must be prepared to wait until our change comes.

Why we sometimes miss out on God’s best is because we become impatient with the process that births the promise.
But we must be conscious that we are in a warfare, with an enemy who fights hard to try to discourage us from seeing our harvest..

Therefore, to see results, we must discipline ourselves to persist in prayers.
We must continue to travail in order to prevail in life. Certainly, if we refuse to grow weary, in due season, we will reap.
In pursuing our vision, various situations will attempt to slow or halt our progress.
But though the righteous may fall seven times, he still gets up again and keeps moving forward.
So should we, because surely, there’s an end, and our expectations will not be cut off.
Though life’s race may be marked with hurdles of challenges and discouragements, through Christ, we are destined to triumph always.

Even when you don’t see immediate results, never give up on your fervent pursuit of God. Your labour shall not be in vain because God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Therefore, continue to be consistent in your Word study, fasting, praying, praise, worship, sacrificial giving etc.
As you stay faithful, you will indeed become fruitful. God is too faithful to fail you.
We serve the miracle-working God who is able to do what He has promised to do. Therefore, in every situation, let us continually bless the Lord and keep His praises always on our lips.
Especially, as we wait upon Him, it is certainly our season to see supernatural turnarounds, miraculous healings, breakthroughs and eruption of great revival in our midst.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace and strength to keep pressing forward in this season. As I refuse to give up, surely, by Your grace I shall soon see mighty manifestations of Your power in my life in Jesus Name.
