In November 1947, the charismatic revivalist, William Marrion Branham held a major crusade in the city of Portland, Oregon. He was preaching to a crowd of over 6000 people when suddenly a deranged man invaded the meeting and began shouting threats.
This man, who had recently escaped from a psychiatric institution was huge and nearly seven foot tall. As he ran towards the platform, about fifty preachers who were on the platform fled from him. But Braham stood still. As the man approached, Braham remained calm and held his peace. By now, the huge man, who looked like Goliath was standing just a few feet away and loudly threatening to kill the Preacher.
Following the instructions of the Spirit, Braham calmly commanded the man to fall and bow at his feet for challenging the Word of God.
As this huge man tried to charge at Braham, to carry out his threat of harming him, suddenly something stopped him. He threw up his arms, screamed, and fell across Branham’s feet, just as the preacher had commanded him to and remained there pinned down by the supernatural power of God, until the police later came and took him away.

The glory of God is a defense for His children. It doesn’t matter the fierce roar and threat of any enemy, we must always understand that we serve the God who is the mighty Man in battle. He is El Shaddai, which means Almighty God, He who destroys over powers.
When His glory covers us, we become untouchable to every evil force. Isaiah 4:5 says the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of His people, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; ‘for upon all the glory shall be a defense.’
On their way to the promised land, the Israelites were protected and guided by the cloud of God’s glory. Throughout their journey, they only moved when the cloud moved. Because of God’s Presence, Psalm 114 says that the red sea saw them and fled, Jordan was driven back, the mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
Likewise in our destiny journey, God’s Presence will always cause our enemies and opposers to flee. Certainly when God is with us, who can date to be against us?
No force can stop or hinder you when you are carrying the glory of God. You become dangerous because in your battles the Lord shall fight for you, while you hold your peace.’(Exodus 14:14).
Because praise attracts God’s Presence, let us be deliberate in giving Him worthy praise at all times. In this season, as we continue to seek His glory, surely, the Lord will fight for us and give us resounding victory in every conflict.

PRAYER:
Father, today I choose to trust and praise You , no matter any challenge I may face. I know that You are indeed able to fight all my battles and cause me to triumph always in Jesus Name.
