Psalm 66;12 ‘We went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place”.

In November 2018, California experienced the deadliest and most destructive fire in its history. This wild fire, which lasted for two weeks, destroyed about 19,000 houses, and recorded a number of casualties.

As the fire raged, A North Californian pastor, Doug Crowder who pastors Magalia Pines Baptist Church, risked his life to save others. He gathered up 30 desperate residents and four church members, and brought them into the Church building to take refuge. However when it became obvious that the fire was drawing closer the group loaded up into a convoy of vehicles and attempted to escape the approaching monstrous flames. They were still in the driveway planning to leave when suddenly the surrounding woods and the street exploded with fire. With the fire on all sides around them, and nowhere to turn, the group had to run back inside the church building. They huddled together and prayed to God. With the roaring sound of flames ripping through buildings, and the deafening blast of propane canisters detonating at a neighboring hardware store, the group cried out to God for protection. And, miraculously God answered them.

Despite the fury of the wildfire, the church building remained unscathed, and the group huddled inside, endured the entire night without suffering any injury whatsoever. Amazingly, afterwards, despite the entire town being leveled to the ground by the fire, the church building remained standing. Even the leaves were still on the trees on the church’s property. Amidst the devastation, this unscathed Church building stood as a beacon of hope and a testimony of God’s deliverance power.

Isaiah 43:2 says “When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.’

Indeed God is able to deliver us from any form of fire. It doesn’t matter how impossible the situation, when we sincerely call upon God in prayer, He is ever ready to answer us. And God not only delivers us, He makes us to become a beacon of His faithfulness.

When the three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fire, it looked like it was over for them. But then there’s no situation so impossible that God can’t deliver us out of it. Rather than kill them, the only thing the fire did was to burn off the cords that held them bound. And when they came out of the fire, king Nebuchadnezzar was so in awe that he not only promoted them but also ordered that everyone should serve the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Their testimony became proof of God’s faithfulness,

Many times the fire meant to kill you only ends up promoting you.. That you are passing through fire is often indicative of the fact that you have an appointment with destiny. And the more you are headed to your ordained place, the more the enemy sends fiery trials to try to stop you. And the worst of these fights often comes at the verge of your breakthrough. But when you stay in faith, the fire that was meant to burn you rather brings you into prominence.

Psalm 66;12 says ‘We went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place”.

If you are going through any sort of fire right now, get ready, God is bringing you out into a wealthy place. When you are faithful in serving God, He is committed to bringing you out of every fiery situation. No matter how fierce the flames, the enemy does not have the final say over your life, only Jehovah does. The Creator of the universe, the one who spoke planets into existence, has your life in the palm of His hands. He knows how to keep you from the flames. He had the solution even before you had the problem. Keep your focus on God’s Word, and don’t worry about the winds blowing against you. Indeed when God is for you, no one can be against you.

After you have been tried by the fire, you will come forth as gold. God’s glory will seen through your story. And like that Church building still standing after the fire, your testimony will become a beacon of God’s faithfulness. People will look at you and know that God indeed still answers prayers.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your glory that is being manifested in my story. What the enemy meant for evil I know that even right now, You are turning it all around for my good in Jesus Name.
