Revelation 4:1-3 ‘After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.’

Lopez Lomong was born in a small village in South Sudan in the midst of the Sudanese Civil War.
When he was six years old, Lopez was kidnapped from his village by rebel militia. Rebels snatched him from his mother’s arms during a church service, intending to turn him into a child soldier.
He was imprisoned at a rebel camp where he watched other young captives die. That was when he and three other boys planned their escape. In the dead of the night, Lopez and the three boys slipped through a prison fence and ran for their lives!
They ran for three days and sixty miles, without food, eating only fruits, until Kenyan Border Patrol found them and took them to a refugee camp. Lopez spent the next 10 years in the refugee camp, going to school and playing soccer.
In the refugee camp they had to eat only one meal a day and Lopez was always hungry. He began running the 18-mile perimeter of the refugee camp to keep him from thinking about food and also to stay fit for playing soccer.
During this time, Lopez made a commitment to live for Jesus and have a deeper relationship with God.
When Lopez turned 16, a remarkable opportunity opened. He was among 3,800 displaced kids chosen to live with families in the United States .
In 2001 he was adopted by Bob and Barbara Rodgers from Tully, New York and moved to the United States.
Running around the refugee camp had horned his athletic abilities and while in high school he showed the kind of range and ability that soon qualified him to compete in Athletic Championships.
He became a U.S. citizen in July 2007 and one year later he qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 1500 meters.
Since then he has been setting athletic records and is celebrated as an Olympic star.
Lomong has also written a book, called “Running for My Life’, where he narrates his long and epic life journey.
The decision to seek God, despite the hopelessness of his situation ultimately changed the story of Lopez Lomong.
To achieve great results in life, we need God to open great and effectual doors for us that no man can shut.
As the new year begins, we might feel elated, inspired and hopeful to achieve greater things and overcome challenges of the past year.
However to triumph over challenges, we need specific keys that can open those closed doors, that hindered our progress in the past.
Keys, spiritually, talk about revelation knowledge and insights from the Word of God that we apply to get out of challenges.
As we draw closer to God, and seek His Word, He will show us what to do to see the results, we desire.
This year, you can achieve all God has ordained for you, if only you are willing to pay the price of ‘coming up hither’ in your spiritual walk with Him.
The truth is that all you need in life to succeed is your strong connection to God. It’s not what you have, but who you have that matters. And when God is with you, nothing and no one can be against you.
You may look around you and feel you have nothing, or you may think you have no one, but never forget that you have God. And one with God is majority.
Therefore do not limit yourself or allow your circumstances to weigh you down.
Life is a battle, and you will only receive what you demand for.
So demand for the best of God’s plan for you, do not settle for anything less.
And with God’s help, as you step forward into this year, you will be stepping into open doors of progress, divine health, greater opportunities and unending blessings.
PRAYER: Lord, I know with You nothing shall be impossible. Please help me to always focus on your Word so that I can possess the faith to step out into this year and achieve all that You have ordained for me in Jesus Name. .
