Matthew 5:13-14 ‘Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.’

All life on earth depends on salt to survive.
Salt has been used by humans for thousands of years, from food preservation to seasoning. Salt’s ability to preserve food was a founding contributor to the development of civilization. It helped eliminate dependence on seasonal availability of food, and made it possible to transport food over large distances.
Salt has been an important and integral part of the world’s history, as it has been interwoven into countless civilizations.
Even today, the history of salt touches our daily lives. The word “salary” was derived from the word “salt.” Salt was highly valued and its production was legally restricted in ancient times, so it was historically used as a method of trade and currency.
The word “salad” also originated from “salt,” and began with the early Romans salting their leafy greens and vegetables. Undeniably, the history of salt is both broad and unique, leaving its indelible mark in cultures across the globe.

In Mathew 13-14, Jesus says we are the salt of the earth.
Being the salt of the earth; means we are designed to preserve humanity from decadence and to give taste to the tasteless world.
It is true that today we live in a time of spiritual peril, but it is also a time of great potential for believers.
Earth’s darkest hour is the church finest hour.
While the world is decaying, this presents us with the opportunity to take our place as salt of the earth and preserve it from decadence.
As bad as things are today, can you imagine how much worse it would be if there were no churches, no Christians, no Bibles, no preachers of the Gospel?
As believers our presence makes a huge difference in the world..
Therefore, at this time, obscurity and nonentity is not part of God’s plan for you. You are meant to be a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.
In our families, offices, communities, nations; wherever we go, God wants us to play a significant role in the preservation of lives.
To this purpose great grace and Anointing is being released. Let us be sensitive not to miss our portion.
2024 will not be business as usual. It is our year to transform from consumers to contributors. From passivity to making great impact.
Therefore, in this time of prayer and fasting, let us seek to receive specific vision from Heaven and begin to run with it.
As we accept the responsibility to become salt of the earth and positively influence our world, surely, our lives will burst forth into glorious colors. It will be out time to be enthroned with supernatural authority, to reign in our field of endeavors.

PRAYER: Lord Please enable me to diligently follow Your Word in every situation. I know that even right now, You are at work in my life to truly turn me into a blessing to my world in Jesus Name. .
