Jeremiah 9:23-24 “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me”.

Johann Blumhardt was a renowned German pastor in the 19th century.
While growing up he began to sense his divine calling and attended a school of theology. There, he sought to live holy, often studied the Bible and followed the lives of reformation leaders, such as Martin Luther.
After graduation, he eventually worked as a pastor in the small town of Möttlingen, in southern Germany.
As he persevered in fervently seeking God, miracles and healings soon began to occur in his parish. This led to a revival in the town and there were many healings, conversions and radical transformations of lives.
However, the government and some church leaders looked upon these miracles with disfavor. At the beginning of 1846 the government demanded that Blumhardt stopped praying for people to be healed and should rather direct them to the medical profession. The target of the opposition was to end Blumhardt’s ministry . But he chose to trust God and so took the bold step of leaving his parish and moved to another town to start all over again.
In this new place, more people flocked to him as God’s power was mightily displayed in diverse manifestations of signs and wonders. Blumhardt’s ministry of healing and deliverance paved the way for many other ministries to follow. Today, Johann Blumhardt is respected and celebrated as a forerunner of the Divine Healing Movement in Germany.

When God is causing your life to make a positive impact, the enemy would often raise oppositions to hinder your progress. But no matter what comes your way, always make the decision to please God rather than please men.
Regardless of their attacks, men cannot limit what God has purposed to do in your life. Anyone who fights against God’s will for you, is ultimately fighting a lost battle.
Their attempts to frustrate, suppress or oppress you have already been factored into God’s divine plans for your life. So whatever they do against you only works together for your good. Joseph had a dream of his brothers bowing to him, and all they did to stop his dream only ended up working together to bring it to pass.
When you know your God you will certainly do exploits. While others may boast about their wealth, strength and capabilities, let our own boasting be in the fact that we know the God we serve. (Jeremiah 9:23-24). That is where our glory comes from. Therefore do not bother about anyone who is working against you, just focus on seeking to know God and obey His Word. God is a master strategist who knows how to cause the plans of your enemies to backfire and end up propelling you forward.
God is also a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him, therefore as we make the choice to seek Him more and more we can be sure of divine rewards. Our lives will overflow with abundant blessings and our story will keep moving from glory to glory.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always make the pursuit of Your will a great priority in my life. May my fear, love and reverence for You continue to grow deeper every day in Jesus Name.
