The pilgrims were among the earliest settlers in America. Originally they were a group of fervent Christians whose refusal to follow the traditional practices of the Church of England resulted in severe persecution. Eventually 102 pilgrims fled from England and sailed across the harsh ocean to a newly discovered land that would later become known as Massachusetts. Before they could build proper dwellings there came a terrible winter season that killed almost half of them. Although their hearts were heavy from these losses, the pilgrims chose to thank God for those that survived, knowing that all could have easily died.
God’s mercies did prevail and the Pilgrims miraculously met an Indian named Squanto who had lived in Europe and could speak good English. He was especially helpful in teaching them how to survive in the new land. Few months later, their situations changed for good. They began to prosper as the land yielded bountiful harvests.
In November of that year, they invited their Indian neighbors to a three day feast to thank God. This would become known as the first thanksgiving celebration in America. The pilgrim’s willingness to trust God and depend on His grace, helped them to become established in the new land that would later expand into the great Nation of America.

It doesn’t matter what you think you may have lost, when you thank God for what is left He will surely multiply it beyond your wildest expectation.
To feed five thousand men, Jesus had just five loaves and two fishes, but when He lifted up the little that was available in thanksgiving to God, great multiplication came.
The truth is that if you have lost anything God is the reason why you have not lost everything. Perhaps some things you expected this year may not have come to you yet. Instead of complaining, thank God for what you already have. When you thank God for His finger, He will unveil His arm to you. Thanksgiving is a multiplier. Do not let any situation rob you of your thanksgiving. When the one leper came back to thank Jesus, his healing was perfected.
Through thanksgiving, anything still resisting your breaking-forth testimony this year will be terminated.
By the power in the Blood of Jesus, as we engage in high praises this month, all enemies of our progress will be ambushed and smitten [2 Chronicles 20:22-23]
Through our breakthrough praise we will surely break forth to a season of supernatural victories, inexplicable promotions and unprecedented testimonies.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to praise You despite any situation. You are forever faithful and I know that indeed all things are working out together for my good in Jesus Name.
