As the world closes the curtain on 2025, major global news platforms are releasing their Top Headlines of the Year—painting a picture of a world full of shaking and uncertainty.
This year, deadly heat waves swept across continents, making 2025 one of the hottest years on record, forcing millions to face drought, crop failures, wildfires, and unbearable temperatures. Nations staggered under inflation and food insecurity, while several regions battled political unrest and elections—including Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea—highlighting intense global instability.
The world also witnessed ongoing armed conflicts, humanitarian crises, and the mass displacement of families. Nations fought for reform, leaders made desperate promises, environmental activists pleaded for change, and scientists issued warnings of what lies ahead. Truly, 2025 has been one of the most turbulent and unpredictable years of our generation.
Yet while chaos echoed across nations, God remained faithful to His children.
In the midst of breaking news and global shaking, God gave us breakthroughs and stability.
While nations groaned and storms raged, God carried us by His grace.
Lamentations 3:22–23 tells us the Lord’s lovingkindness never ceases and His compassions never fail. This is so true!
Therefore, on this final day of the year, let us honor God for what He has done by giving Him worthy thanks. Thanksgiving is the key that moves us out of the old and positions us for the new.
Maybe you didn’t see every promise fulfilled — yet you must still give thanks. If God preserved your life, then your story is not finished. If breath is still in your lungs, then mercy is still working.
As we prepare to cross into 2026, choose to enter it with faith and joy — not dragging yesterday’s weight, but stepping forward with expectation. Certainly, as the redeemed of the Lord, our path will only keep shining brighter and brighter..
The same God who kept us in 2025 is waiting for us in 2026 with greater mercy, greater grace, and greater glory.
PRAYER
Lord, I am truly grateful for Your faithfulness to me this year. As I prepare to cross into the New Year, may nothing ever silence Your praise in my mouth. I step into 2026 trusting Your goodness, mercy, and power to do greater things in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
