Kurt Warner once dreamed of being an NFL star, but after college, no team wanted him. He was rejected repeatedly and eventually found himself working the night shift in a grocery store, stocking shelves for minimum wage. His dream looked dead — but he never abandoned his faith.
Kurt kept believing, kept practicing, stayed faithful in church, and held on to God’s promises.
Then suddenly, after years of obscurity, a small opportunity opened. He was invited to play in the Arena League. It wasn’t glamorous, but Kurt treated it like a God-given door. From there, God kept lifting him step by step, until in 1999 the man once forgotten became NFL MVP and Super Bowl Champion, leading the St. Louis Rams to victory. Today, Kurt openly declares Christ and gives Him glory for his miraculous turnaround.
With God, your present location is never your final destination. The path of the righteous may start dim, but it grows brighter and brighter (Proverbs 4:18). Wherever you may be today, rest assured — your story is still unfolding. Even when you cannot trace God’s hand — trust that He is working because He never fails.
Every child of God has a bright tomorrow. Where you stand this year is not where you will remain. As long as you stay faithful, keep serving, praying, and obeying God — He is arranging a future full of glory.
That is why the closing days of this year should not be spent in anxiety, regret, complaining, or comparison — but in thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is proof that we believe God will do greater things in our lives. It is the seed that activates expectations. As you thank God for what He has done this year, He ensures better things come next. Therefore let this season be your spiritual reset. Prepare to walk closer with God now than ever before.
Because preparation today determines manifestation tomorrow.
So as this year closes, let us thank God deliberately — and commit our heart to deeper devotion and obedience. Greater things are ahead. Certainly our best days are not behind us, they are before us..
PRAYER
Father, I thank You for all You have done this year. I believe my tomorrow is brighter. Help me finish this year with a grateful heart and serve You with deeper devotion, obedience, and faith, so that I can access the greater things You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
