John Osteen, founding pastor of Lakewood Church, authored the book ‘You can change your destiny’. In the book, he shared the amazing testimony of his sister’s miraculous healing.
His sister named Mary got afflicted with a demonic condition that deteriorated to a state where she lost the ability to reason properly and was unable to walk. Medically, her case defied solution.
But while in that difficulty, one day Mary heard the voice of the Holy Spirit asking her to send for her brother John.
Before then she had not seen pastor John Osteen for nearly two years. But she obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit and sent a message across to John. Before he received Mary’s request to come and see her, pastor John had already seen a vision of her in a very sick condition and was given assurance of her deliverance.
He embarked on the long journey to visit his sister, with faith she would be healed. On arriving there, he began wedging spiritual warfare against the forces of darkness holding Mary bound, pointing to the Cross and claiming its power for healing.
By the power of the Blood of Jesus, Mary received divine healing. Soon her health was fully restored, and every trace of the other demonic affliction totally disappeared.

Through the help of the Spirit, Mary received the instruction to send for her brother, which led to her deliverance from a complex medical case.
As we journey through life and are confronted by different challenges, the Holy Spirit is always there to show us what to do to gain the victory.
As the redeemed of the Lord, there is no complex condition you cannot overcome. It doesn’t matter what the experts may say, Jehovah alone has the final say over your life. In the case of medical challenges, He is your Jehovah, Rapha, the Lord that healeth you.
God sent His Word to heal us, deliver us from every destruction. Therefore in the face of any affliction, stay with the Word, which is God’s medicine—as you continue to take it in every day, you will surely be made whole.
At the Cross, Christ defeated every negative condition to the fullest and to the outermost and through His sacrifice we are destined to triumph always over life’s challenges. [1 Corinthians 15:57].
In this season, by the help of the Spirit, we are emerging the winner in every conflict against us, no matter how complex.
Certainly, it is our portion to live triumphant in our health, finances, relationships and every other area of our lives and to keep breaking forth to increasing heights of exploits.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You that it is my portion to experience constant victory. By the help of the Spirit, in this season, I shall surely triumph over every challenge and walk in dominion always in Jesus Name.

After successfully leading a coup, Tamrat Layne and Meles Zenawi overthrew Ethiopia’s existing oppressive government in the 1980s. Tamrat Layne served as Ethiopia’s prime minister for 5 years before being succeeded in 1996 by his best friend Meles Zenawi. However, as the two close friends began to disagree over their leadership ideologies, President Zenawi brought charges of corruption and embezzlement against Layne, and he was sentenced to 18 years in prison despite his plea of innocence.
Kept in solitary confinement, Layne felt totally betrayed and became obsessed with thoughts of killing Zenawi. A self-professed atheist, he began studying Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam but found no relief. When he was sick in his fifth year of prison, a nurse slipped him a Christian tract. After reading the tract that evening, he had a divine visitation that led him to surrender his life to Christ.
As he began reading the Bible, he felt the Holy Spirit telling him to forgive Zenawi. It was a very hard decision, but he chose to obey God. Miraculously, he was released from the prison in December 2008, after completing 12 years of his 18-year sentence.
Thereafter, he set up a meeting with Zenawi. Face to face with his old friend, Tamrat hugged him and said, “I forgive you, and I love you.’
Zenawi was stunned and became emotional. Layne was glad he had obeyed God, because not long after that, Zenawi died. Today, Tamrat Layne goes around the world sharing his testimony of divine encounter and transformation.

It is always good to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. No matter the bitter experiences we may sometimes pass through, we must learn to always leave matters in God’s hands.
David was the victim of multiple conspiracies. It looked like everything ganged up to frustrate his life. He was a victim of betrayals and confrontations, but despite all that David suffered in life, he decided to hand over his battles to God. Several times when he could have taken matters into his own hands, he decided to honor God and obey His Word.
When David had an opportunity to kill Saul because he feared God, he decided not to do so.
The result of his honoring God was that the house of David began to wax stronger, while the house of Saul waxed weaker. God turned the tables in David’s favor. Eventually Saul melted into oblivion, while David, till date, remains the most beloved king in Israel.
Likewise, if you will decide today to handover your battles to God, the Lord will go with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory [Deuteronomy 20:4].
Despite how tough the confrontations, through the help of the Holy Spirit, you will surely triumph at last.
As we draw closer to Him through study of the Word, prayers, and praise, certainly the Lord will always overcome for us. God will turn the adversity into your advancement! What was meant to break you down will only lead to your greater breakthroughs and breaking forth to enviable realms.

PRAYER: Father please grant me the grace to always allow Your Word and Your Spirit to take preeminence over my feelings. In every situation I may face, let only Your will be done in my life, in Jesus’ Name.

Arthur Blessit is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as making “The World’s Longest Walk.”
For 56 years, Arthur has carried the Cross around the world through 324 countries.
While he is welcomed and celebrated in most cities, in some other places he has faced hostility and even close calls with death. One of such cities was the predominantly Muslim city of Tetouan in Morocco. When Arthur walked into the town, hundreds of people who saw him carrying the cross, filled with hatred and rage, began throwing stones at him, and hitting him with long sticks. Arthur’s team, which usually trailed him in a Land Rover, on seeing the dangerous situation yelled at him to drop the cross and run into the car so they could escape. But Arthur screamed back, “No, go on. If I make it, praise the Lord! If I don’t, praise Him anyway!”
As a part of the crowd chased after the vehicle, the driver took off out of sight, and Arthur faced the mob alone. Believing they were about to kill him, he decided to die while preaching and so preached right in the faces of his attackers.
As they were beating him, suddenly, two men came out from a building and began screaming at the crowd. As the crowd screamed back and there was momentary confusion, Arthur felt the Holy Spirit tell him to immediately leave the place. As he walked right through the crowd, it was as if the people could no longer see him. No one came after him as he walked away. Arthur eventually located his team in the Land Rover waiting for him, and they continued the journey to other towns.

It is remarkable that when faced with death, Arthur said, ‘If I make it, praise the Lord! If I don’t, praise Him anyway!”
An expression of such confidence in God will always attract the supernatural help and deliverance of the Holy Spirit.
God is our ever present help in trouble. As we trust Him, He stops the mouth of the lions and disappoints the devices of the crafty, so that their hands can not perform their enterprise.[Job 5:12-14].
If you are facing any kind of evil gang-up or plot against you, keep your trust in God. As you do, the Holy Spirit will hide you from the secret counsel of the wicked and from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity (Psalms 64:2).
In 2 Chronicles 20, as mightier armies ganged up against King Jehoshaphat and his people it appeared there was no way of escape. But when they set themselves to praise God, their situation miraculously changed. God sent confusion into the camp of their enemies and turned their battlefield into the Valley of Berachah. Beracha means “blessings.”  This was the name they gave the battleground because it took them three days to gather all the spoils of war!
Certainly, God is fearful in praises. An atmosphere of worship and praise will always attract the Holy Spirit for our miraculous help and deliverance. Therefore today, let us endeavor to spend quality time fellowshipping, worshipping and loving Him. As we do, we shall experience His speedy intervention and supernatural help in every area of our need.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to worship and praise You acceptably today. I thank You in advance for the ‘fearful’ and ‘tearful’ testimonies You are bringing into my life even right now in Jesus Name.

One of the best ever known authors and motivational speakers was Hilary Hinton “Zig” Ziglar.
Ziglar said that when he started out as an author, he had average intelligence and was not very smart, but through engaging the help of the Holy Spirit, whom he calls ‘ The Greatest Teacher of all time” he gained wisdom and understanding that made his books to become outstanding.
In 1947, when he was 21years old, Ziglar began working as a salesman and later ventured into motivational speaking.
After he committed his life to Christ and became born again, Ziglar began to write his first book.
At that time, he didn’t know much Scriptures, but as he wrote the book , he prayed a lot seeking God’s help and guidance.
Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit he was able to share deep truths in the book that greatly blessed people.
Though this first book ‘See You at the Top’, was initially rejected 39 times by publishers, Ziglar persisted in prayers and it was eventually published and became a great success.
The book was so much in demand that it was reprinted over 60 times. Ziglar engaged the same secret of fervent prayers with his consequent books, he wrote over 30 books and each one enjoyed great success. Many of his books have been translated into 40 different languages and dialects.

We require prayer investments to enjoy open doors and outstanding breakthroughs in life.
Our endeavors must first be established in the spirit through prayers, because the spirit realm controls what happens in the physical realm.
Before Jesus began His earthly ministry, He first embarked on a season of prayers and maintained the discipline of constant prayers, the result was that within 3 and half years, He became the wonder of the world.
Knowing the great difference the Holy Spirit can make, Jesus commanded His disciples to tarry in prayers, until endued with power from on high, before stepping out into ministry.
Many endeavors fail, because people try to build without first engaging the help of the Holy Spirit or lay a strong spiritual foundation.
But the man who builds without a strong foundation on the rock of God’s Word, will find that his house falls when the wind, rain and storm comes. Because of the great adversaries that resist our open doors, a prayerful lifestyle becomes necessary.
It doesn’t matter how smart, educated, or hard working a person may be, without divine backing, all his efforts will eventually come to naught. Because except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.[Psalm 127:1].
It is the Holy Spirit that opens doors of blessings for us that no man can shut.
In this season, as we keep seeking the help of the Holy Spirit and keep praising God, certainly it will be our time to break forth to unprecedented heights and attain enviable realms of success in all our endeavors.

PRAYER: Lord, please strengthen me to always seek the help of the Holy Spirit through paying the necessary price of spiritual fervency so as to see the manifestation of greater open doors and exceptional breakthroughs in Jesus’ Name.

Kenneth E. Hagin once shared the story of how one day he came into the Church and a sudden burden came upon him to pray immediately for someone in danger.
So he got up and asked everyone in the auditorium to join him to pray. Kenneth Hagin prayed earnestly in tongues for at least 45 minutes until he finally got a note of victory in his spirit . And with that assurance, he began to laugh and to sing and to Praise God! He knew that whosoever he had been praying for had been delivered from death.
Then at 9:30pm that night, he got a phone call from the daughter of a great supporter of his ministry for many years. She said her father had been trapped with 17 other men in a Texaco refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, after a fire explosion. Though firemen were battling to put out the fire, there was fear that the men trapped inside could die and she wanted Kenneth Hagin to pray. On hearing her, Kenneth Hagin started laughing because he suddenly realized that was why he had been promoted to pray earlier that day. He assured the young woman, he had already prayed and her father would be all right.
By 1:30am that morning, the phone rang again. It was the same young lady calling to tell him that firemen finally put out the fire, and when they went in there, to their greatest amazement all eighteen men were alive and safe! Hallelujah!

Our readiness to obey the divine promptings of the Holy Spirit will lead to miracles and deliverances. Many calamities would be avoided when we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and quickly submit to His leading.
However, sensitivity to the Spirit will only occur when we maintain an unbroken fellowship with Him. One way to build such a relationship is through daily fellowship. When we take the time to build an intimate relationship with the Spirit, we can easily detect His voice and it becomes easier to hear and obey.
Even as we go about our daily affairs, we can remain spiritually connected all day long. As our hands are working on physical things, our spirit can remain in sweet communion with God’s Spirit, through a ceaseless flow of prayer and worship. Such an atmosphere of continual worship and appreciation of God causes us to live a life of miracles, signs and wonders.
To maintain closeness to the Spirit it is also important that we keep our hearts constantly tender and joyful. As we remain Word-filled, prayerful and praise-full then we can always be sure of God’s divine Presence surrounding us and His Presence will certainly make positive differences in our lives.

PRAYER: Father please help me to maintain an unbroken connection to Your Spirit, wherever I go, so that I can be divinely guided daily and live a life of miracles in Jesus Name.

One of the most influential Pentecostal evangelists of the early 1900s was Maria Woodworth-Etter.
She was a woman of little education, but who through reliance on the Holy Spirit, accomplished great things.
In the early days of her ministry, there was a town six miles away from her home called ‘devils den’. This town was so called because of their strong resistance to any Gospel minister who tried to hold meetings there.
When Maria went to the town to hold her meetings, the people only attended to mock her. They believed she would soon be run out of town, shattered and defeated.
At the meetings, no one participated or responded to her. And for three days Maria preached and sang alone. Finally, on the fourth night, she exercised her spiritual authority and tore down the demonic principality that ruled over ‘devils den’.
That night, as the power of the Holy Spirit came down, tremendous conviction came upon her hearers, and people cried and fell to the floor in repentance.
With their stiffness and resistance finally broken, many surrendered their lives to Christ. As news of the event spread like fire, ministers from other towns came down to help Maria reap the harvest of souls in ‘devil’s den’. It was indeed the greatest manifestation of power the town had ever witnessed.

Psalm 66:3 says, “Through the greatness of thy power shall thy enemy submit themselves unto thee.”
The power of God is designed to put us in command over spiritual resistance and oppositions.
In every man’s promised land there will always be giants, and before every man’s throne there will always be a goliath. It takes exercise of power to dispel them and possess your possession.
The truth is that if you want to fly high in life, there are forces that must first be cut down from resisting your progress.
In the world, everyone faces spiritual battles, whether they are aware of it or not. Victory and progress only belongs to those who know how to exercise God’s power.
As a child of God, anytime you are confronted, always remember that the Greater One lives in you.
When we take the spiritual responsibility to fast, pray, and study God’s Word, we receive the power of the Holy Ghost to break every chain. Through the anointing of the Spirit, we will subdue the forces fighting against our open doors and breakthroughs and
silence our mockers.
Don’t leave your destiny to chance, rather make the choice today to take spiritual charge and overcome the things that have long hindered your forward movement. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, you are wired to triumph always.
This is certainly, our time to rule in the midst of our enemies, and continually break forth on every side.

Father I thank You for releasing upon me the power of the Holy Ghost to overcome everything that has been resisting my progress. Surely by Your grace I have the victory always in Jesus Name.

In his book, The Holy Spirit My senior partner, Dr. Yonggi Cho, shared an interesting story.
One Christmas morning, after leading an all-night prayer meeting, Dr. Yonggi Cho returned home to rest before the next service. Feeling hungry, he was about to eat breakfast when the Holy Spirit instructed him to immediately return to the church. Reluctantly, he obeyed. Upon arriving, everything seemed normal, with only a young janitor cleaning up the auditorium after the service. Despite the outward appearance of normalcy, Dr. Cho felt compelled to walk toward the platform. There, he found a large sealed envelope containing an offering.
As he took the envelope to his office, there was a sudden knock at the door. The young janitor entered, visibly shaken. Kneeling down, the young man confessed to finding the envelope while sweeping. He said he stole some cash from it and returned it to the pulpit, believing no one would notice. However, when Dr. Cho unexpectedly returned back to the church and went straight to the platform and picked up the envelope, the janitor became afraid. He realized his sin had been revealed by the Holy Spirit to the pastor and so he came to confess.
This and other miraculous incidences marked the wonderful work of the Holy Spirit in Dr. Yonggi Cho’s life. By following the instructions of the Holy Spirit, whom he called his ‘Senior Partner’, Dr. Yonggi Cho grew his church, which began with only 5 people, to become the world’s largest congregation.

The security of our destiny lies in following the guidance of the Holy Spirit. By His help, we will receive divine revelations and know things beyond our human capability.
Every destiny is at risk without the guidance of the Holy Spirit because we are grossly limited by our five physical senses.
In the world today, we are contending with invisible forces and their human agents who often attempt to frustrate us and truncate our progress. Without the Spirit, we can never know the hidden battles around us or understand how to gain the victory.
Without spiritual discernment, we can be easily fooled by people’s outward appearance and never realize the real intents of their hearts.
We must rely on the Holy Spirit as our senior partner in order to be guided out of life’s pitfalls and make unhindered progress.
For every believer, there is no substitute for divine guidance. Either you are guided or you are grounded.
We must therefore avoid spiritual laziness and consciously pay the price of developing sensitivity to the Holy Spirit through fervent prayers, worship, and diligent study of the Scriptures.
As we are led by the Holy Spirit, we will become a wonder to men by amazing happenings in our lives and we will keep breaking forth to enviable dimensions of success on every side

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to choose the path of divine guidance so as to avoid the pain of regret in destiny. Thank You Lord for granting me the grace to always follow Your will at all times in Jesus Name.

On Monday, 26th of August 2002, during their morning devotion, the Holy Spirit quickened a Scripture verse into the heart of Dr. Philip Lyn. At that time Dr. Philip Lyn was pastor at Skyline SIB Church in Malaysia.The Bible verse he received was Psalm 118:17 which says “I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.”
After the morning prayers, Dr. Lyn went about his normal business. But later that day something terrible happened to his little daughter, whose 4th birthday was the next day. The little girl fell off a stool while playing with the clothesline and the ropes caught around her neck and choked her.
Though shocked by the accident, Dr. Lyn and his wife recalled the Words of Psalm 118:17 given to them by the Holy Spirit during their morning devotion and held on to God’s promises.
When brought down, the little daughter had no breath, nor pulse, nor heartbeat. She was clinically dead. But after many minutes of desperate resuscitation effort, she suddenly began to struggle to breath, but she remained in a coma.
When they rushed her to the hospital, doctors saw little chance of survival.. In the midst of this desperate situation, Dr. Lyn’s wife began praising the Lord and felt His overwhelming presence.
That night Dr. Lyn received a prophetic dream that his daughter woke up from the coma and was counting her fingers. By the next morning that was what happened. The little girl suddenly awoke from her coma and began counting her fingers. That day was her 4th birthday and she was totally healed. The family gratefully praised God for His unfailing goodness and faithfulness.

It is certainly God’s plan for us to live and not die, so we can declare His works in the land of the living. It doesn’t matter how bleak any situation, God’s Word will always prevail.
It is important to have a time of daily fellowship with the Holy Spirit, because that is where He speaks to us and gives us the Word we need for every season.
Whatever you may face, as long as you have received a Word from the Lord, your victory is guaranteed. As you stand strong in faith, giving glory to God and declaring His promises, you will surely overcome.
Jesus paid a high price to make available to us the manifold redemptive values of His Blood, one of which is the divine help of the Spirit.
Whenever the enemy tries to plot evil against us, the Holy Spirit has a way of alerting us and strengthening us to overcome. As we declare the Word of God and plead the Blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit lifts a standard against any flood coming against us.
Certainly , in this season, it is our portion to triumph over every attack of the enemy. We shall see no evil and no plague can come near our dwelling place.
Today, let us continually praise God for the help of His Spirit, because through Him we are guaranteed divine deliverance, security and immunity from all evil.

Jonathan Goforth was the foremost missionary revivalist in China in the early 20th century.
He succeeded in the very difficult mission field of China through the divine help of the Holy Spirit.
Jonathan and his wife arrived in Shantung Province, China, in 1888. For the first seven years, they preached for many hours with not much success. One day, at the point of complete physical exhaustion, they kneeled down and asked God to send them an evangelist who would help with the preaching. The next day, a man named Wang Fulin appeared at the mission house seeking employment. This man was a former gambler and opium smoker who had been converted to Christianity two years earlier but had no job. He told Jonathan and his wife, that the day before God gave him the idea to come and meet them.
Jonathan recalled their prayer for a helper and wondered if this man could be the answer. That afternoon, he asked Wang Fulin to help him do the preaching.
As Wang began to speak the result was amazing; he held the chinese crowd spellbound with the story of his conversion and breaking his opium addiction.
Wang Fulin became the best preacher and helper Jonathan could have ever hoped for. Through him, Jonathan Goforth reached many of the local Chinese people and thousands of souls were drawn to Christ.

It is good to know that God says, ‘Before they call, I will answer, and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.’[Isaiah 65:24]
Before Jonathan Goforth and his wife knelt down to pray for a helper, God had already prepared Wang Fulin and prompted him to come to them.
In times of need, always remember that you serve the God who is always on duty; He never sleeps nor slumbers, and nothing takes Him by surprise. He is able to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Even before the need arises, God has already organized the supply and orchestrated the solution.
Therefore, rather than fret or worry over any issue, let us always trust God to be our ever-present help in times of need.
As our Helper and Comforter, the Holy Spirit always works in our lives to ensure that things turn out in our favor.
However, it is only through the eyes of faith that we can see Him at work in times of difficulties.
This is why it is important to build up our faith through diligent study of the Word and fervent prayers.
In this season, never limit what God can do in your life, rather in every situation, always trust and keep praising Him. As you do so, God will cause a sudden divine shift in your circumstances, He will send to you butlers to open doors to your next level. He will bring midwives of destiny to help birth the visions in your heart and He will supply your needs exceedingly abundantly above all expectations.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for always hearing me when I call and answering me speedily. Please help me to be filled with the faith I need to see You always working in my favor in Jesus Name.

Richard Allen was one of the most active and influential black leaders of his time. He founded the first independent Black denomination in the United States.
His vision was to organize a denomination in which black people could worship with dignity and without racial oppression.
He was born into slavery on February 14, 1760. By the time he was 17 years old, he got born again and immediately began to preach to fellow slaves. When white neighbors advised his master, Stokeley Sturgis, that practicing religion would make Allen unproductive, he worked hard to prove them wrong.
His white master, Sturgis, was so impressed by Allen that he soon became converted to Christianity. As an outward show of his genuine repentance, Stokeley Sturgis freed his slaves.
As a freeman, Allen dedicated himself to the spreading of the gospel. But when he found that in the Church where he worshipped, black people were often segregated and mistreated, he decided to acquire a building that became the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. It was the first Methodist Church in the United States specifically for African Americans
By the time of Allen’s death in 1831, the Church he founded had grown to nearly 10,000 members and today its membership numbers in millions of worshipers.

Through the help of the Holy Spirit, Richard Allen broke the barriers and shackles of being born into slavery and achieved incredible feats.
As a child of God, you are unstoppable.Though you may encounter difficulties and challenges on your journey, as you rely on the help of the Holy Spirit, you will be an amazement to the world..
By the power of the Holy Spirit you will go beyond your human capabilities and make global impacts.Through the indwelling anointing of the Spirit, you can accomplish what seems impossible to men and complete
God’s divine assignment in your life.
When God asked Zerubbabel to build the temple, He said to him, ‘This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.’ [Zechariah 4:6-7].

God’s invisible power is domiciled, embedded, and resides in the Holy Ghost.. If you don’t know Who you carry inside, you will likely sell yourself short and settle with mediocre results in life. But when you know that inside you reside dunamis power, you will keep your expectations high and press forward to accomplish great things.
Today, though this year may seem far gone, you can still achieve incredible results by trusting God to make a way in the wilderness and cause rivers to flow in the desert for you.. (Isaiah 43:19).
No matter how great the obstacles that hitherto resisted your progress, by engaging the superior force of the Holy Ghost, you can overcome them all.
Through renewed appetite for God’s Word, fervent prayers, and passionate worship, we will certainly experience an eruption of power that will cause us to break forth into realms of sweat-less triumph and unending victory.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to spiritually position myself for a fresh encounter with Your Spirit. By the help of the Spirit I will surely experience divine speed and achieve incredible feats in this season in Jesus Name
