JUNE 15; DELIVERANCE IN THE WORD!

Galatians 2:20 ‘I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.’

Darryl Strawberry started his sports career with the New York Mets. There, older players introduced the 21-year-old Darryl to cocaine.
From then on, while his career outwardly skyrocketed, he began dying on the inside as he became addicted to drugs.
Becoming rich and famous, he lived a lifestyle of womanizing, drinking and drug addiction. However he remained miserable and there was an emptiness inside of him until he had lost virtually everything, and almost lost his life.
He only found peace when he eventually fully surrendered to Christ and committed to a life of seeking God’s Word. He later began serving as a pastor, going into prisons and preaching the Gospel.
Darryl Strawberry’s transformation from drug addict to pastor and soul winner is .indeed a miraculous testimony of the deliverance power of God’s Word.

Galatians 2:20 says ‘I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.’

The moment we give our lives to Christ we begin the most important race of our lives. However, though we may start well, as the race progresses, we often face hurdles of temptations and struggle with sin. No matter how much a man desires to be good, until he has crucified his sinful flesh nature, he may find himself going back to his vomit and former lifestyle.
This is why we need to continually come to God’s Word to receive the power to overcome.
The transformation power of the Cross is embedded in God’s Word. As we look into the Word, we receive the power to be transformed into the image of Christ. As many as receive the Word, also receive the power to become the sons of God.
Trying to live the Christian life by our own strength will only lead to failure. But as we connect to God’s Word and begin to engage the power in the Blood against the forces of sin, we will experience continual victory.
The deeper we go into God’s Word, the more the nature of God takes us over and the more the temptations of the sin and the flesh dies in us.
Anyone who is serious about living for God must accept the spiritual responsibility of daily coming to the Word so as to receive the faith and power to live victoriously and keep breaking forth to envious dimensions of destiny.

PRAYER: Lord I thank You for the power that is in Your Word. Today as I begin to engage the weapon of faith against every challenge, I know that my victory is continually assured in Jesus Name.

Rene Martinez spent the majority of his life in and out of jail. He was arrested severally for breaking into homes, stealing guns, dealing drugs, and getting into fights. Martinez’s problems began at a young age when his mother who practiced witchcraft made animal sacrifices over him. He experienced demonic visions throughout his childhood and by age 12, he had turned to violent crime and joined a street gang.
He survived numerous close encounters with death, including multiple shootings and a coma at 14 years of age. Many of his friends either died young or ended up serving life sentences. He later transitioned from street crime to professional bare-knuckle fighting, where he won many fights and achieved success, yet he still felt an inner void.
By this time his mother who had converted to Christianity, began praying fervently for him. Her prayers were answered in 2013 when Martinez had a profound supernatural encounter where he heard Jesus telling him, “I spared you for such a time as this.”
Realizing that God was the One that saved him from several deaths caused Martinez to repent and commit his life to Christ. Today he is a pastor who is spreading the Gospel around the world and the story of his amazing transformation has been documented in a film.

God is able to transform the vilest sinner and change the most impossible circumstances. No matter how terrible a person’s story may appear, it is never out of reach of God’s grace.
This is why we should never give up under any circumstance because there is nothing too difficult for God to do.
If you allow the enemy to control the narrative of your life, he will tell you that things will never change around you. But don’t you believe the lies of the devil. Don’t ever feel trapped, defeated, or think your life can never get any better.
Certainly, God’s Word can destroy any yoke and break any chain. Through focus on the Scriptures, positive pictures are painted in our minds that lead to definite transformations. If we desire changes in our circumstances, it is important to meditate on the Word, because our most dominant thoughts will eventually control our lives, and manifest as our outward reality.
It is said where the mind goes, the man follows.
That’s why Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds.
As we focus on God’s Word in this season, surely we will break out of every stagnation and spiritual stronghold limiting our progress and break forth into the glorious, colorful destiny that belongs to us.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You that it is my portion to experience positive transformation in every area of my life in this season. Surely, by Your grace nothing can hinder my breaking forth on every side in Jesus Name

Arabella Katherine Hankey was an English missionary and nurse who is best known for writing the popular hymn “I Love to Tell the Story”. She wrote this hymn during a serious spell of sickness while on a mission in Africa.
Reading through her hymn one would never suspect the great battles she fought over her health. But despite the numerous challenges she faced, she decided to continually give God worthy praise. She refused to focus on the problems but rather focused on God’s promises of healing and deliverance.
Katherine Hankey was born in 1834, the daughter of a wealthy English banker. Early in life Katherine caught the evangelical passion from her father and she began organizing Sunday School classes for the rich and poor throughout London.
When Katherine was thirty years of age, she experienced a serious illness. During the long period of recovery from the sickness she wrote a lengthy poem on the life of Christ.
Later that same year, while still recovering from her sickbed, she completed the second part of her poem on the life of Christ. From these verses came the text for “I Love to Tell the Story,”
She always sought to glorify God and bring joy to others in any way she could. She ensured that all of the royalties received from her hymns were directed to a foreign mission projects to preach the Gospel and help the poor.

Katherine Hankey, had every reason to have focused on her health challenges rather she chose to give God praise instead.
Often times, we may have a good reason to feel down and discouraged, but we have to make a decision not to follow our feelings. Depression will only give room to the oppression of the enemy.
The ‘sacrifice of praise’ is praising God even when our circumstances dictate the contrary.

Hebrews 13:15 says ‘By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name’

“sacrifice of praise” is unusual and uncommon praise. It is praising God despite the pain. It is praise that costs you something, because you are deliberately going against your feelings. Though you feel like throwing in the towel you choose rather to throw up your hands in adoration and judge God faithful.
You refuse to acknowledge whatever the devil may be doing but rather praise God for who He is and what He is able to do.
That kind of praise gets Heaven’s attention and attracts the prison-breaking, earth-quaking power of God. It was this kind of praise that delivered Paul and Silas.
Praising God beyond your feelings means putting your faith to work. That’s when praise becomes your weapon. Like King Jehoshaphat you are going to fight your enemies with praise..
Despite the negative reports, you are dancing and glorifying God and declaring Him mighty. As you do so, God is going to surround whatever is surrounding you. He is going to ambush your enemies and give you the spoil of war.
The enemies of affliction, sickness, poverty, evil attacks etc. that came against you will all fail and you will surely prevail. As you continue to praise God despite negative circumstances you will soon break forth into a season of overflow. Every breakdown will be converted to your breakthrough, the stumbling blocks will become your stepping stones and every battlefield will turn into your blessing field.

PRAYER; Lord, I thank You for fighting my battles and giving me the victory. Please help me to maintain a praise-full lifestyle, no matter what comes my way. Surely You are faithful and I know You will cause all things to work together for my good in Jesus Name,

Alice Marie Johnson is a well-known American criminal justice reform advocate. Interestingly, only six years ago she was a federal prisoner who was serving a life imprisonment.
She was convicted in 1996 for her involvement in a Memphis cocaine trafficking organization.
In this time of trouble, Alice turned to God promising to serve Him if only He would help her.
Locked behind bars, prison officers told her that she would not leave prison until she died. But she refused to believe them, rather she relied on the faith that God was able to do a miracle to set her free.
Alice surrendered her life to Christ and eventually became an ordained minister in the prison who helped to mentor other imprisoned women.
She started helping the other inmates by advocating for new programs and access to education for women with life sentences. Her efforts garnered the attention of social justice organizations and in 2017 her case was brought to the attention of President Donald Trump. He granted Alice clemency in 2018 and she was freed from the prison. After her release, she launched her organization called ‘Taking Action for Good’ which is dedicated to helping other prison inmates receive freedom and have a second chance like she was given.

Alice’s story displays the power of faith. Certainly, what we believe is what we receive in life.
There is, therefore need for us to grow in knowledge of God’s Word to obtain the faith that will establish our freedom from every form of bondage.
Christ has obtained mercy and deliverance for us at the cross. Therefore refuse every negative condition the enemy tries to impose on you. Perhaps the enemy is telling you that you will remain in the prison of sickness, poverty, unemployment, loneliness etc.. Refuse and refute those negative reports. You are serving the miracle-working God, who can do inexplicable wonders. As long as you have faith anything is possible in your life.
No matter how inescapable or insurmountable any obstacle, certainly, through the Blood there is victory for you.
Don’t accept that you will live in any bondage for the rest of your life. Perhaps they have said in your lineage certain negative traits obtain, but as a Blood-bought child of the living God, believe that your case is different.
By the Blood of Jesus you have been set free from every waterless pit.
Life is essentially a warfare. It is therefore time to engage the weapon of the Blood to secure your freedom from every demonic oppression. Redemption has re-positioned you for eternal victory over every curse of life.
Surely, by the power in the Blood of Jesus today you will break out of every limitation and break forth to the fruitful and fulfilling life that God has ordained for you in this season.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the eternal victory You have given me through the precious Blood of Jesus. And today by the mystery of the Blood of Jesus I declare my freedom from every oppression and bondage in Jesus Name.

Stuart Hamblin lived life in the fast lane. He was a popular Hollywood actor and singer, who had his own radio show, called Family Album. Though his father was a Methodist pastor, Stuart spent his nights drinking, gambling, and partying.
By 1949, Stuart was an alcoholic who engaged in brawling and destructive behaviors that often landed him in jail. Around this time, Reverend Billy Graham came to Los Angeles to launch his evangelical crusade and was a guest on Stuart Hamblin’s radio show.
Graham invited Stuart to his crusade. After hearing the preaching that night, Stuart was so touched that he received Christ as his Savior. Being such a popular figure, his conversion became headline news and the change in him amazed everyone.
Stuart quit partying and drinking and became seriously devoted to serving Christ. Trouble came when he refused to do beer commercials and was fired from his popular radio program. In no time his career as a famous entertainer and top-rated song-writer gradually ground to a stop. Though he began struggling financially, Stuart refused to go back to his worldly ways and put his faith in God.
Soon God turned things around for Stuart, when a song he wrote about his conversion experience became an immediate hit that topped the charts and went around the world. Later, Stuart started a new Christian radio program titled, ‘The Cowboy Church of the Air’, which was very successful and became nationally syndicated.

As Christians, the strength of our testimony is the witness of a changed life. A real Christ encounter will produce more than just emotion in us, it will result in definite transformations.
When you have a true divine encounter, it will ignite in you the desire to make positive changes.
However, the decision to change your life for the better will often be resisted by the enemy.
Trials and temptations would arise to try to discourage you from moving forward in your walk with God.
But we must be steadfast and immoveable always abounding in the work of the Lord. No matter how things may initially look, we can trust that God’s Word will always prevail in our lives. 2 Cor. 2:14 says ‘God always causes us to triumph in Christ’
No matter how tough any condition you may face, as a child of God, you have the potential for great victories within you. It is not about you, it is about Christ in you, the hope of glory. Therefore, refuse to be discouraged by adverse circumstances. Rather keep your eyes on Jesus and refuse to settle for less than God’s best for you.
In spite of the difficulties keep moving forward in your decision to live for God because ahead of you is a glorious future. Though you may go through fire and through water, surely God will bring you out into a wealthy place.[Psalm 66:12]
He will turn the tables in your favour. He will take you out of the wilderness into your fruitful land and cause you to break forth to new realms of opportunities, greater and better than anything you could have ever imagined.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to keep walking by faith despite the trials that try to stretch the limits of my faith. I know indeed You can do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in this season in Jesus Name.

Edward Donnally is a famous American jockey who competed in many horse races as a professional.
He began horseracing at 19 years of age and in his first year he achieved early success and gained fame and wealth. For the next 20 years, he traveled as a professional jockey, winning about 1200 horse races at over 50 different race tracks.
However, the wealth he acquired was used to live a wild and reckless life. He used drugs and drank heavily in attempt to alleviate an intense depression that clouded his life.
As his life continued to spiral out of control his marriage eventually ended. After his wife left him, he went into such deep depression that he decided to kill himself. He took 36 tablets of Xanax, a drug used in treating anxiety and panic disorders. After that he collapsed and lay dying on the floor, alone in the house. But God intervened miraculously, when a family friend came visiting that day and finding him on the floor, immediately called an ambulance.
Though he survived, Edward continued to struggle with depression until when he finally cried out to God for help.
That day as he prayed to God, he got his Bible and it fell open to Isaiah 43:19 which says; ‘Behold, I’ll do a new thing. And it will spring forth. Shall you not know it? I will make you a path in the wilderness and a river in the desert.’”
Edward held on to this Word and began to believe God to do a new thing in his life. Gradually God greatly transformed him and today he is a minister of the Gospel who spreads the message of redemption and transformation around the world.

Just as God changed Edward’s story, He wants to transform us for the purpose of manifesting Christ to our world.
No matter how bleak and uncertain things may outwardly seem, trust that God is able to do a new thing in your life. Believe that He is making a way in your wilderness. He will cause rivers of blessings to flow into your desert.
Do not look at your current situation and underrate what God can do in your life.. When a seed is buried deep in the ground, all around it may seem dark, dreary and lonely. But it is in that dark place that new life springs forth.
Therefore today enlarge your faith and expect the supernatural. Begin to see blessings flowing into your life like a river that cannot be stopped! You may not see how in the natural, but we serve a supernatural God to whom nothing is impossible.
Certainly, in this year of breaking forth on every side, you are about to see blessings that are better, bigger, greater and mightier than what you knew before. You may have suffered defeats and setbacks in the past, but God can enable you to rise above those hindrances and break forth to a new season of joy and victory. You’re about to see a turnaround season of renewed purpose and restored destiny.
However to experience the transformation ordained for us, it is important that we diligently meditate on God’s Word. The more we fill our minds and hearts with the Word, the more we will manifest the glory of God and be a wonder to our world.

PRAYER: Father I thank You for the grace to constantly meditate on Your Word so that I can be conformed daily to the image of Christ and manifest the glory You have ordained for me in this season in Jesus’ Name.

La Paz, the Capital of Bolivia is the highest city in the world. It sits 3,869 meters above sea level.
Because of its great height, La Paz has what is known globally as ‘Death Road’ or ‘the world’s most dangerous road’. This is a very narrow and steep road that connects La Paz to the Yungas region, in the northeast of Bolivia.
The great altitude of La Paz results in a cool climate in the city. At 3500m above sea level, La Paz has one of the coolest temperatures of any capital city.
The very cool temperature of La Paz is because of what is known geographically as temperature inversion. This happens when sun rays hit the earth’s surface and produces heat. But as this heat rises from the earth’s surface it loses its hotness as it goes higher up. So while the air on the lower grounds are hot, the air on the higher grounds remain cool. Thus temperatures on mountainous cities are generally cooler than temperatures on lower grounds. Temperature inversion says that with every 1 km one moves above sea level, temperature decreases by 1ºC.
This is why people in the higher areas of the earth enjoy generally lower temperatures than people on the low lying areas.

To live victoriously in these end-times we must seek to go higher spiritually. This means dwelling in the holy place of intimacy with God where we enjoy continual spiritual revival and victory.
The more we pray the more we will transform from the lower life of the flesh to the higher life of the Spirit.
Jesus has asked us to rise and pray so that we do not enter into temptation. So rising in prayer is an escape from the temptations and demonic manipulations that plague people who dwell on spiritual lower grounds.
Sin is a sinker that keeps men bound to the ground, but through prayer we arise above its shackles and bondages.

Proverbs 15:24 says ‘The way of life is above to the wise that he might depart from hell beneath.’

God is calling us today to rise to that higher life of holiness and righteousness. We do this through a lifestyle of continuous prayer, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit.
Such a spiritually fervent lifestyle is a necessity for every believer who will be triumphant in these perilous last days..
The more we pray, the more we will rise above the heat and harassment of the enemy and remain seated with Christ in Heavenly places.
Certainly, the price we pay in diligently seeking God is never in vain. It results in our breaking forth to higher horizons and enjoying continual victory in all life’s conflicts.

PRAYER: Father please grant me the grace to maintain a high spiritual tempo and always arise in the place of prayer. Please destroy every spiritual weakness that tries to keep me on the floor. Indeed by Your Grace it is my season to break forth to higher grounds in my destiny in Jesus Name.

Billy grew up as a poor farm kid. As a young man, he began a career as a baseball player for the Chicago White Stockings. He was so outstanding in his game that he became celebrated nationally.
In 1886, when he was 24 years old, he encountered Christ and became a changed man. And a few years later, he left baseball to pursue a Christian ministry. During the early 20th century, he became well known as America’s most famous evangelist who preached to millions around the world. He held widely reported campaigns in America’s largest cities, and he attracted the largest crowds of any evangelist before the advent of electronic sound systems. Yet despite his success, Billy Sunday remained ever grateful to God for his salvation and the blessings he enjoyed. His attitude of gratitude was witnessed one day by a policeman in Chicago. The policeman was walking his beat when he observed a man standing before the Pacific Garden Mission. The man had removed his hat, and the officer thought he was acting rather strangely. Thinking the man might be drunk or ill, the policeman approached him. He noticed that his eyes were closed, so he nudged him and said, “What’s the matter? Are you sick?” The man looked up and smiled, then said “No, sir. My name is Billy Sunday I was converted right here in this mission. I never pass this way without taking the opportunity, if possible, to stand quietly for a moment and whisper a prayer of thanksgiving.”

Indeed Billy Sunday never forgot God’s mercy in saving him, and changing his life. He used every opportunity to praise God for these.
As believers, we need to constantly count our blessings and deliberately thank God for all His goodness in our lives, especially for our changed lives. Sometimes we get so filled with the concerns of this world that we forget God has given us the greatest gift of all which is our salvation. Do we ever wonder where we would be today, if God had not intervened and saved us from our old life of sin and perdition. We could never thank Him enough for saving us from the fires of hell and giving us the hope of Heaven.
Indeed God is worthy of our every praise. He deserves our constant adoration. It is only because of His mercies that we are not consumed. The reason why we are still alive today is because of His grace that richly abounds towards us.
We may not yet have all we desire but let us thank God for giving us eternal life. No matter how today may look, let us thank God that we have hope for a better tomorrow. And because the path of the just shines more and more, things can only keep getting better for us. The more we praise God for what He has done so far in our lives, the more He will cause to break forth to greater realms and glorious new dimensions of destiny.

PRAYER: Lord, I truly thank You for redeeming me and changing my story from shame to glory. Please grant me the grace to remain ever grateful and to give You worthy praise for all You have been doing for me in Jesus’ Name.

The story of Edier Osvaldo Ruiz’s transformation from a Colombian hitman to a pastor is a testament to the power of redemption and grace. From a young age, he was drawn into the criminal world of the famous drug baron Pablo Escobar. He became a contract killer and was notorious as one of Colombia’s most wanted criminals.
The law finally caught up with him and he was sentenced to 48 years in prison. In the prison he met former criminal friends who had become Christians. They wanted him to receive Christ, become a changed person and live a new life. But he would not listen because he was unwilling to change his ways.
One day, Edier Osvaldo directly experienced God’s power and love, when he heard an invincible voice calling him to accept Jesus as his Savior. Afraid and overwhelmed, he finally surrendered his life to Christ. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of his transformation. He was released from prison after serving just 11 years of his sentence. Afterwards he sought out the families of his victims and asked for forgiveness. Edier’s completely changed life amazed many people. From Columbia’s notorious hit man, he is today a pastor who shares the message of God’s love, hope and redemption.

A person who resists change can never receive God’s best. God wants to keep changing us from our old state to our destined state. His goal is to keep developing in us the character and qualities of Jesus. This cannot be accomplished if we are unwilling to embrace change.
Just because God has blessed you where you are doesn’t mean that is His best place for you. God is always moving forward; taking us higher and further in destiny’s journey.
If you’re going to break forth to new grounds and higher horizons, you have to stay open to what God is doing now. His plan is always evolving to reveal more and more of His glory in you. Who you are today should be a better version of who you were yesterday.. This will happen as we continually make adjustments in our attitudes, thoughts and actions in line with God’s Word.
As we follow the leadings of God’s Spirit, He will daily transform us to be more Christ-like and reveal ever-increasing glory in our lives. As believers in Christ, our lives should never be stagnant or redundant. Rather our path is meant to be like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until it reaches its full strength and glory in the perfect day [Proverbs 4:18 [AMP].

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to feed constantly on Your Word, so that I can be sensitive to Your leadings and embrace Your divine transformations that are making me daily more like Christ and revealing greater glory in me in Jesus Name

In 2005, Captain Frank Diorio’s military unit came under the largest attack ever experienced by any coalition unit in the history of the Iraq war.
That year, on April 11, insurgents launched a three days of intense attacks against the military base in Husaybah, Iraq where Frank Diorio was in charge. The enemy fighters unleashed gun fire, grenades and explosive devices..
Their base was hit by three suicide vehicles loaded with 2,000lbs of explosives. Another two suicide vehicles loaded with explosives breached the perimeter of their bases followed by a ground attack.
These relentless three-day attacks led Frank to pray constantly. Rather than devastate him, the attacks rather drew him closer to God. He greatly depended on God for protection and guidance and felt surrounded by divine presence in the midst of the battles.
His quick reactions and sound decisions enabled his company to fend off the insurgents, inflicting a high number of casualties on the enemy.
Miraculously, he didn’t lose a single soldier in this overwhelming battle.Throughout his service in Iraq, despite enduring over 300 attacks, not a single soldier died under Frank’s command.
After his safe return back to the U.S, on March 13, 2006, Frank Diorio was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his outstanding service. In his interviews with the Media, he always credited God’s Presence for his amazing exploits and preservation in Iraq.

David was the king that fought the greatest battles in ancient Israel, yet God preserved him through them all. The more battles David fought the stronger he became while his enemies grew weaker.
2 Samuel 3:1 says, “David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.”
As believers, we may sometimes go through a season of overwhelming battles. But no matter what happens, God will cause us to come out stronger, better and wiser.
Through every trial, temptation, rejection, pain, and hurt, a better version of you is emerging. What the devil meant for evil will eventually work out for your greater good.
When Christ is your anchor, the storms that come to blow you backwards, will only end up blowing you forward. The winds may sway you, even bend you, but you will never break because you are being upheld by God’s Word.
Though you may walk through the fire and the water, God will preserve you from trouble. He will cover your head in battle and give you the victory over your adversaries.
Therefore when you face tough battles, rather being afraid or dismayed, trust that God is turning the adversity to your advantage.
If today you are facing a medical diagnosis or financial report that seems overwhelming, rather than fear, let God’s Word dominate your heart. Through in-depth study of the Word, you will connect to the faith that will cause you to emerge victorious. The trial that came to break you down, will only cause you to breakthrough and breaking forth to glorious realms.
Therefore in every situation, keep praising and keep blessing God for His faithfulness because as you have put your trust in Him, surely, you shall never be ashamed.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to maintain my praise in every circumstance. No matter what comes my way I know You are working it all for my good and causing me to emerge better and stronger in Jesus Name.
