During World War II, psychological warfare was heavily employed by each warring nation to demoralize enemy soldiers.
One of the methods used to spread this negative propaganda was a kind of bomb called the leaflet bombs. These leaflets, written in a way to inflict doubts and fear into the minds of the readers were often dropped by bomber planes over the enemy population. Some of the leaflets were filled with messages specifically targeted at the fighting soldiers to cause them to lose their motivation and enthusiasm.
For example, some leaflets depicted scenes of marital infidelity, a theme that no doubt touched on the insecurity of some of the soldiers, who were far away from their wives and homes. Also warning leaflets of impending destructive attacks were dropped on these soldiers to create fear in their hearts.
In many cases the intended effect of this psychological warfare succeeded. Some soldiers became intimidated and so much fear was instilled in their hearts that they lost every motivation to persevere in battles and easily surrendered their fights and abandoned their objective of winning.

Christians are spiritually attacked with a similar strategy. Through words of fear and discouragement, the enemy seeks to infiltrate the minds of believers to get them to stop their work and abandon the promise from God.
When Nehemiah received a mandate from God to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, he and the Jews began this work with excitement and zeal and the people worked with all their heart.
However, soon after, the enemy began to bring negative propaganda of impending attacks which made the people so afraid and discouraged that they abandoned the work, saying “We cannot rebuild the wall.”
However Nehemiah encouraged the people to keep their gaze on God, and not on the fearful propaganda of their enemies. He told them `Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome.’” (Nehemiah 4:14)
As a result of putting their focus on God, the same people who had earlier cried “we cannot rebuild the wall” completed the work in 52 days.
Just like Nehemiah, God has called many of us to build and accomplish great things. However, it seems that we have had to sometimes contend with negative news and discouragements .
No matter how impossible it may seem, nothing will stop the manifestations of God’s promise as long as we stay in faith.
As we remain full of faith, giving glory to God, our breaking forth on every side will surely become a reality.

PRAYER; Lord, I thank You that what You have promised to do in my life this year will surely find full expression in this season. I will indeed break forth to unprecedented heights in Jesus Name.

DECEMBER 14; REFINED FOR PRAISE!

One of the most valuable materials on earth is gold. It has been used for centuries as money, but it also has many uses in industry, manufacturing, and even space flight. One of the traits that makes gold so useful is that it can be shaped and formed easily. In fact, a single ounce of gold can be flattened out to cover three hundred square feet. Gold is also used for jewelry and a host of other things.
Indeed gold is considered very precious on the earth, but until it passes through the refiner’s fire, it holds no value.
Gold ore dug out of the ground contains many other elements that must be removed prior to the gold being useful. The refining process for gold involves intense heat. Gold melts at a temperature of almost two thousand degrees Fahrenheit. That incredibly high temperature is required for gold to be ready to be used.

Just like gold, every believer carries an enviable destiny, which must be processed through the fire for our real values to manifest. A refiner’s fire does not destroy that which is of value. It only burns up the chaff. The fire melts down the bar of gold, separates out the impurities that ruin its value, burns them up, and leaves the gold intact.
In the fire, what gets burned up are the chaff and the impurities in us. As long as we sincerely serve God and trust that He is working all things together for our good, we should rejoice rather than complain during trials because we know we are coming out better and stronger.[1 Peter 1:7 ]
Job 23:10 says that after we have been tried, we shall come forth as gold.
All through the Scripture we see this principle. All of the great heroes of faith went through their “trial by fire” experiences, yet because God was with them, it all ended in praise. The truth is that the fire is a necessary purification process for anyone who will be used by God.
Today, if it feels like you are passing through a ‘trial of fire’ be encouraged that in Isaiah 43, God has promised that when we go through the fire He will be with us. And when God is with you, the fire is not going to consume you; rather it’s going to refine, purify and increase your value exceedingly. After all said and done, by God’s grace it will end in praise and you will emerge from the test with a greater testimony.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to praise You in every situation because You are forever faithful. By Your grace through every trial and temptation, I shall come forth better, stronger, and wiser in Jesus Name..

On Sunday 8th December 2024, the Syrian Arab Republic under Bashar al-Assad suddenly collapsed. This was due to major offensives by the Syrian opposition as part of the Syrian civil war which began in 2011. This marked a dramatic transformation in the dynamics of the Middle East. As Syrian’s president, Bashar al-Assad, fled to Moscow, bombing raids began hitting sites across Syria as regional actors in the Middle East scrambled to defend their interests in the country.
With events moving at a dizzying pace, war planes from Israel, the US and Turkey swooped down on Syria.
Israeli attacked strategic military sites in Syria in about 250 airstrikes that destroyed over 80 percent of its military might within 48 hours. Israel’s aim was to stop Isis terrorists from possessing suspected chemical weapons sites, long-range rockets, weapons and ammunition depots in Syria. Also the US and Turkey attacked Syria in attempts to protect their own interests.
The situation in Syria is creating a clamor among international actors and who have interests in Syria.
History shows how quickly moments like this can descend into further chaos, therefore the international community have been intervening in different forms to ensure the current situation does not escalate into greater conflicts.

What is unfolding currently in the world is a clear reflection of what the Bible warned about. We are truly living at the end of the Church Age where the world would experience many upheavals and turmoil. Jesus Himself prophesied about the state of the world in the last days. In Matthew 24:7 and 8, He said, “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Jesus called this period in time the “beginning of sorrows” The word “sorrows” is the Greek word oodin, and it specifically describes labor pains. As we approach the end of the Church Age, the world will begin to feel increasing stress and pressure like a woman in labour.
However, we must not let the noises or clamors throw us into a state of panic.
Jesus admonished us in Matthew 24:6, “See that ye are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
So don’t let negative news reports get you troubled or think there is no hope. Rather this is the time to seek God more and continually hide ourselves in His Presence through a lifestyle of intimate worship and fellowship.
God’s Presence is our greatest security in these perilous times. As long as God is with us, we will keep flourishing even in hard times and always emerge victorious and triumphant.

PRAYER ; Lord Please help me to draw closer to You and build up faith through storing up Your Word in my heart. Surely this is my season to break forth and soar to my high places in Jesus Name.

On April 30 2008, Beth Catania, was in her home in Suffolk, Virginia in the U.S, not knowing a killer tornado was headed towards their town. As Media outlets screamed out warnings, many of the town’s residents fled to safety. But Beth Catania was not watching the television and had no idea of the happenings, until her husband called from his office to give her the warning. As she began to hear the heavy rumbling of the approaching tornado, she took refuge in her closet and began to pray, thanking Jesus for divine protection. As the tornado hit her house, the entire house was pulled from its foundation and hurled it into the sky, but miraculously, Beth was left behind on the ground. She felt God’s hand covering her until the sound of the wind finally stopped. Realizing that she was still alive, right there, she raised her hands and began to bless God for His awesomeness! She was later evacuated to a safe zone.
A few days later, Beth and her husband visited what was left of their home and found in a corner of the house’s foundation, Beth’s Bible, lying open to Psalm 75. The beginning part of this Psalm says ” Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare…’
Speaking later to CBN news, Beth’s husband said he believed she had survived because she was tucked under the wings of the Almighty, and protected from the devastation.

Psalm 46:1 says ‘God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble..’
In the midst of a devastating killer tornado, God became the refuge that preserved Beth.
Likewise, throughout this year, God has been our refuge and strength. God’s hand has kept us through worsening economic conditions and shielded us from the increasing troubles in the world. Because of the Lord’s mercies we have not been consumed. He not only made ways for us where there seemed to be no way, He has given us breakthroughs, promotions, open doors, divine liftings and caused us to break forth on every side.
As we draw closer to the end of this year, we have every reason to be grateful to our faithful God. Certainly if it had not been for the Lord on our side, where would we be? We have survived many battles, seen and unseen, not by our power or might, but by the help of the Spirit of The Lord.
Therefore, today, let us lift up our voice and give continual praise to this wonderful God. As we praise Him for His amazing works in our lives so far, certainly He would do even greater things in the coming days and gloriously crown our year with inexplicable miracles, signs and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, I truly bless You and deeply appreciate You Lord for all Your marvelous doings in my life so far this year. May all honor, worship and adoration be unto You now and forever in Jesus Mighty Name.

The World Health organization [WHO] has identified depression as a leading cause of disability worldwide and a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease.
One of the core clinical signs of depression is a unique medical condition which doctors call Anhedonia. Anhedonia causes people to lose the capacity to experience pleasure and no longer want to engage in formally enjoyable experiences.  This situation has been attributed to the pressures of modern existence. Medical Experts say, Anhedonia is becoming a more common condition today, because many people are living worried and anxious and full of fear.
With increasing global instability, it is understandable why men are living depressed. The world is full of joy stealers.  It is the devil’s ministry to “steal, kill, and destroy”, and he is doing everything possible to steal people’s joy especially in these crucial last days..

While many are going about anxious and cheerless, as believers we must be careful to constantly guard our joy.  Though there may be reasons to get upset every day, we must deliberately and carefully stay joyful.
In Mark 6, the disciples were fighting against a contrary wind, they were toiling and rowing and it must have been quite frustrating. But then Jesus came walking on the water and He said to them “Be of good cheer!”
In other words, He was telling them to cheer up, despite the storm.
Whatever tries to steal your joy is actually preparing you for oppression.  Because the devil will always first try to depress you before he can oppress you. Therefore by the Blood of Jesus always come against anything that tries to steal your joy. Through praise we abide in God’s Presence where there is fullness of joy.
Philippians 4:4 says “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
When you rejoice always, you will be surrounded by God’s Presence always. And you can be sure of victory, because if God be for you, nothing and nobody can be against you.
Today, as we stay in the joy of the Lord, surely, we will have the strength to overcome every challenge and keep breaking forth to higher realms and a glorious fulfillment of every prophetic agenda for our lives this year.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the redemption I have through the shed Blood of Jesus. By Your grace, I have overcome every cause of depression. Thank You Lord for your joy that constantly fills my heart in Jesus Name. .

The book “Birds of Pray” explores the Christian faith of the Philadelphia Eagles’  team members.
The Eagles are a rare team in that they are greatly focused on serving God. A number of teammates share their faith in Christ, and many on the team are “prayed up” when they go into a major competition. The band of Christian brothers on the team believe in the God of the impossible, and they play for an audience of One.
As a result of their faith they have recorded a number of amazing victories.
In 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles faced an impossible battle. They were underdogs who had never won a Superbowl and were to compete against the defending champions, New England patriots who had already won five times. The Patriots, with a lot of talented players and a mastermind coach, were expected to win. Many people assumed New England patriots would devastate the Eagles to collect their sixth Trophy. But against the odds, the Eagles chose to trust God and resorted to praise.. During the game something miraculous happened. In the very last minutes, when it seemed all hope was lost, the tables were suddenly turned in favor of the Eagles. They scored 41-33, over the Patriots to win their first Super Bowl ever! Immediately after the win, the eagles gathered together right there in the field, to give God worthy praise.

Through the power of praise, your highest obstacle can turn into your greatest miracle.
If you face an overwhelming resistance or opposition, don’t give up easily. There is something you can do to change the situation. Switch to praise. When you praise God, you engage His power for a forceful turnaround.

Exodus 15:11 says God is fearful in praises, doing wonders’.

Praise is a vital force for supernatural breakthroughs. Through praise, God turns our tests into testimonies. It is the medium through which He takes over our battles. We can always invoke God’s intervention by intense, hearty praise; not just with the lips, but praise coming from the depth of our soul!
When you get on the highway of praise, you will keep going from triumph to triumph and victory to victory!
Today , as we engage in heartfelt praises to our faithful God, surely we will enjoy miraculous breakthroughs and inexplicable victories over every issue of concern in this season.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because as I praise You today, I know You are winning impossible battles for me. By Your grace my life is certainly moving from triumph to greater triumphs, in Jesus Name. . ….

On the night of June 6, 1967, roughly 350 Israeli soldiers accomplished something many thought was impossible. Despite being grossly outnumbered these Israeli soldiers captured a heavily fortified military base in Jordanian-occupied East Jerusalem. When the Israeli forces had arrived for this battle, they were unprepared for the scope of the challenge. They realized too late that they had been given an incorrect intelligence report about the number of Jordanian soldiers in the area. While the report had suggested that the hill was being defended by a single Jordanian platoon, the Jewish soldiers arrived to find that far many more Jordanian soldiers had been hiding in the hill. The misinformation made the Israeli soldiers find themselves grossly outnumbered and overwhelmed by their enemies. Though the great number of Jordanian soldiers had the weapons and manpower to crush the Israelis, a miracle took place. The limited Jewish soldiers fought courageously and won this battle! Incredibly they overcame the Jordanians in just four hours! This victory is accounted as one of the most amazing incidents of the Six-Day War.
Today, that battleground is a sacred historical military site in Israel. It is called ‘Ammunition Hill’ and in 1987 it was proclaimed a national memorial site in Israel.

When God arises for our help, no matter how greater the opposition may appear, our victory will always be sure.
God says in Isaiah 54:15 ‘Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.’
When God arises for you, every evil gang-up against you will be scattered..
Deuteronomy 28:7 says God will cause your enemies to be defeated before you, though they come at you from one direction, they will flee from you in seven different directions.
If today you seem grossly outnumbered in any battle, with God on your side, the majority is on your side.
However, to get God on our side in battles, we need to engage His Presence through high praises. Praise is what triggers the intervention of the Omnipotent God.

In 2 Chronicles 20, when King Jehoshaphat and the men of Judah began to sing and praise God, their greater enemies were all destroyed.
Anytime we turn to high praises, God comes down into the battle arena and when He steps in, every devil must bow out.
Therefore today, rather than bother yourself about that ‘big’ challenge before you. begin rather to celebrate the greatness of your God. As you begin to give God worthy praise, He will surely bring down the head of every Goliath resisting your enthronement and cause you to have inexplicable victories over your stronger enemies .

PRAYER; Lord, today, I hand over my battles to You knowing that You are greater and mightier than whatever comes my way. As I maintain a praise-full lifestyle, I thank You for causing me to triumph always in Jesus Name. .

On 4th December 1982, a baby came into the world with no arms and no legs, having only a six-inch appendage with two toes on the left side of his torso. This child was born to Pastor Boris Vujicic and his wife, Dushka Vujicic.
Though many around them were dismayed by this “tragedy”, Pastor Boris Vujicic and his wife chose to trust God.
They named their son, Nick Vujicic and tried their best to help him to live a ‘normal’ life. But despite their efforts, by age eight, Nick began to feel great depression about his disabilities, which resulted in multiple suicide attempts. On Nick’s third attempt to end his life he had a vision. He saw his mom and dad crying at his grave, and he realized that his suicide would be a worse blow to his parents than having a son without limbs.
After that vision, Nick decided not to kill himself. Soon after, Nick had a life-changing moment when he read John chapter 9 where Jesus said a man was born blind so the works of God would be revealed.
Understanding, that his own disability could also be used by God to reveal His glory, Nick surrendered his life to Jesus and began a relationship with God, which changed everything for him. He became joyful, trusting that God was in control of his life. Thereafter, he began to enjoy his life and became full of smiles. By age 17, he began to conduct classes where he spoke to encourage other students.
In 2005, he founded an international non-profit organization and ministry, ‘Life Without Limbs’. Nick began travelling all over the world, sharing his message of hope to millions of people and helping many come to faith in Jesus Christ. Today, Pastor Nick Vujicic is one of the most widely recognized evangelists in the world and has become an international symbol of victory over adversity.

Pastor Nick’s change of story came when he decided to be joyful, despite his circumstances.
In the book of Philippians, Apostle Paul writes from a state of imprisonment under difficult circumstances.
But despite the adverse conditions, he commands the Christians at Philippi to ‘Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. rejoice in the Lord always.’ [Philippians 4:4-8].
Here Paul reveals that the secret to experiencing joy is by shifting our focus to God in all circumstances.
Today, the state of affairs in the world can foster an atmosphere of despondency, but as Christians we cannot allow anything take away our joy.
Our joy does not come from outward happenings. It’s sourve is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Even in adverse situations, the Holy Spirit supernaturally works in our hearts to produce His fruit of joy (Galatians 5:22).
Unspeakable joy, is unexplainable joy. It is the joy you can’t explain in natural terms. No matter what goes on, you chose to always trust God and refuse to be moved by circumstances. This Joy is the source of strength for rising to your high places. But depression can stop you from getting there because once the devil succeeds in stealing your joy, he has succeeded in stealing your strength. Depression is the enemy’s trap for stealing your colorful destiny. Therefore, don’t allow it! Do not allow money, relationships or anything to control your joy, because they are inconsistent.
In every situation, let us keep our hope in God who never fails. Certainly, God is ever constant and reliable and is able to turnaround any condition and surpass all our expectations.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to remain joyful and keep praising You despite any situation, let nothing ever stop the continual flow of your praise from my mouth because You are too faithful to ever fail me in Jesus Name.

When Robert Moffat and his wife Mary began their missionary work in South Africa, there seemed an utter failure to reach the people for Christ. Though services were held regularly in the local chapel, hardly any native attended. Often did Robert and Mary Moffat prostrate themselves before God, beseeching Him to intervene.
When the water supply became very scant in their current mission station at Lattakoo, Robert Moffat and Mary relocated their mission to Kuruman, eight miles distant. There, water was abundant and their gardens bloomed in the valley.
“These gardens are symbolic,” said Robert to Mary. “Some day this spiritual desert shall blossom into a garden for God.”
Mary’s faith was no less steadfast. She sent for a communion set from a friend in England, when yet they had not a single convert!
The faith of the Moffats was rewarded. Within two years, there was a miraculous change and the chapel could no longer hold the crowds in attendance. The people volunteered to erect a bigger church with their own hands. The Moffats praised God for His faithfulness.
At this time, Mary received the communion set, just a day before they were to hold their first Sunday communion service in the mission.  That day, on Sunday July, 1829, many converts sat down together to observe the Lord’s Supper with the communion set, Mary had asked for by faith, even when there had been no sign of any convert.

The truth is that in life’s journey sometimes you may have to pass through some valleys before you can get to your mountaintop. To see miracles in the valley of challenges we must praise God “continually.”
Hebrews 13:15 says ‘By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name’
We must discipline ourselves to always give God thanks in everything.
I Thessalonians 5:18 says “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus’
When you continue to offer the sacrifice of praise, in the midst of difficulties, somehow, in ways you cannot fathom, things will begin to turn around.
You will see that negative medical verdict overturned, the financial problems will be resolved, the family crisis, marital troubles etc will all be overcome.
Indeed there’s nothing God cannot handle in our lives, as long as we stay in praise.
Certainly, He is the God of miracles, who can exceed our every expectations.
As this year rounds up, we must therefore be deliberate in giving God worthy praise. To rise to the mountaintop, you must learn to praise God while in the valley. Indeed Praise will always precede the victory. Your attitude of gratitude will always determine your altitude.
As we praise God this month , He will release to us every hanging blessing and ensure that our cup runs over with His goodness.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for helping me to always walk by faith. By Your grace let every form of discouragement in my life be destroyed. May I always praise You in every situation in Jesus Name

Arabella Katherine Hankey, was born in London, England in 1834, into a home of a wealthy English banker. While growing up, she refused to be distracted by the riches around her and dedicated her life to serving God. As a teenager, she felt compelled to talk about Jesus and began a Bible study for girls in her neighborhood in London. She also taught and published weekly Bible lessons for girls across the city.
As an adult she became a missionary and nurse. When her brother who was serving as a missionary in South Africa fell ill, she travelled there to help him recover. She served as a nurse at the mission station, and selflessly extended herself until she fell ill and returned to London in 1866.
Her recovery at home was long and difficult, and she was bed-ridden for almost a year. During this period, she wrote a lengthy poem on the life of Christ. From this poem come two well-known hymns: “Tell Me the Old, Old Story” and “I Love To Tell the Story.”
Reading through her hymn one would never suspect the great battles Katherine fought over her health. She always sought to glorify God and bring joy to others in any way she could. Through giving God praise, her period of sickness turned around to birth hymns that has blessed the world and etched her name in history.

In times of trials, we may seem to have a good reason to become discouraged, but we have to make a quality decision to judge God faithful under every condition. The truth is that God never fails who trust in Him. No matter how things may look initially, in the end Jehovah will always have the final say. His Word will prevail.
Therefore, refuse to follow your feelings, in the face of life’s challenges. Depression will only give room to the oppression of the enemy. If you are sad, it will be bad. Rather, choose to praise God because that is what invokes His Presence for your deliverance.
Many of the challenges you face on earth may appear natural but when you look closer, there is an extension to the world of the spirit. More than a physical challenge it is a spiritual warfare. Every spiritual battle requires a spiritual approach, thus your greatest guarantee for victory in every battle is God’s presence, and praise is what it takes to get God on the scene. As you give God thanks, He will cause you to triumph always [2 Corinthians 2:14].
As the year rounds up, people usually face pressures from different quarters. A major concern for many is the financial obligations of the yuletide season.
