Phillis was approximately seven years old, when she was kidnapped near the coast of West Africa and sold to slave ships. After enduring the harsh voyage across the Atlantic, she arrived in Boston in 1761. There, she was purchased by a prominent couple Susanna and John Wheatley, who renamed her Phillis after the ship that had brought her to the city and also gave her their surname.
God gave her favour before her owners, so that while working for the family, they taught her how to read and write, which was unusual at that time.
In less than two years, Phillis was able to fluently read the Bible and other books, after she had mastered English, she went on to learn Greek and Latin.
Phillis Wheatley composed her first poems as a young teenager and caused a stir among Boston scholars when her talented writings were made public.
The publication of her poems on various subjects, turned her into a transatlantic celebrity.
She would become a notable apologist, abolitionist, and missionary who garnered attention from politicians, including George Washington, for her religious writings which praised God and spotlighted important issues of that time, especially slavery.
From a slave girl Phillis Wheatley was a slave girl rose to become the first Black woman poet of note in the United States

It is amazing how Phillis Wheatley rose to international fame and acclaim at a time when slaves had no recognition and racism severely restricted the success of any Negro.
The contents of her mind through divine illumination, made her to stand out and become celebrated.
The truth is that when your mind is upgraded through exposure to God’s Word, you will manifest such amazing potentials that will force your world to recognize you and celebrate you.
Only limited thinking can cause a person to live a limited life. To experience glory invasion and unprecedented open doors, we must enlarge our vision and expand our thinking.
It is time to break out of the “box” of limiting thought patterns and begin to think about growth and expansion.
God says in Isaiah 54:2-3 that you shall expand to the right and to the left. This is certainly our year to take new territories and ascend to greater realms of exploits.
Where you are is not where you’re supposed to end up. You may have started out in obscurity, but you are headed towards becoming a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. No matter how difficult your circumstances may look now, understand that there is nothing impossible with God. No external situation can stop God’s purpose for you as long as you don’t give up.
What you need to do is to draw closer to God and trust Him to manifest His preordained plans for you in due season.
As you daily walk intimately with God, and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will soon arrive at that glorious destination ordained for you this year.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to rise to higher realms in my endeavors by following Your plans and maintaining a fervently spiritual life. I thank You for opening greater doors of destiny and taking me to global prominence this year in Jesus Name.

“D-Day” refers to what happened on 6 June 1944 –the day on which the Battle of Normandy was fought during world war 2. This battle was the climax of the War and on that day, thousands of Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, in northern France, in a battle to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation. By nightfall on 6 June 1944, some 156,000 Allied troops – including British, US and Canadian forces – had landed on Normandy’s beaches, despite challenging weather and fierce German defences.
The ‘D-day’ was probably the most carefully planned and executed military operation in history.
But the carefully laid out plans depended on one crucial factor; the moon. Because the invasion began in the early morning hours before the sun came up, aircrafts and Parachutists needed the moonlight to see the ground to know where they should land. They needed the moonlight so as to avoid all the barricades and barbwires, Hitler had mounted on the seashore to hinder an invasion.
The allied forces engaged a team of astronomers and meteorologists who helped them to plan the invasion around days with a full moon and low tide. The Invasion of Normandy began early in the day on June 6th 1944. It was a joint effort by all of the Allied Forces, which comprised of 326,547 British, American and Canadian troops, 54,186 vehicles, 104,428 tons of supplies, 5,000 ships and 11,000 aircraft.
At the end of the invasion the Allied Force were in full control of Normandy. The Allied Forces marched forward and continued fighting until they forced a German surrender on May 8th 1945, officially ending the Nazi reign in Germany.

Victory in this battle was only possible because of the crucial role the light of the moon played on that day.
In the same way, in the battles of life, light from God’s Word is crucial to our victory. No matter how carefully we plan, we need the light of God’s wisdom to know which way to go. Jesus is the light of the world and without Him we can do nothing. Indeed nothing works until light comes. And the density of your light will determine the intensity of your victory. When your Light is intense, it swallows up every darkness around you. Therefore to experience victory, go for light. And the source of light is The Word of God. It is the entrance of His Word that gives light.
Faith, the victory that overcomes the world, comes from hearing The Word. Genuine encounter with light from God’s Word will always deliver victory to you and establish glory in your life.
If you need victory in any area of your life today then it is time to seek an encounter with light from God’s Word. Like peter, you maybe toiling fruitlessly in the dark without any catch, but things will change when you hear the voice of the Master through His Word. No man-made plan can compare to the divine direction God gives. One word from God can revolutionize your life. In our health, in our families, in our businesses, we need light from God’s Word to show us the way to victory. Wherever light appears, darkness must bow. Therefore let us go for light from the Word Every light bearer is naturally a victor in the battles of life. As we daily abide in God’s Word, our faith will be strong and the glory of God will constantly surround us and guide us to constant victory.

PRAYER: Father please help me to always walk in Your light so that Your Glory can continually reflect through me.. Please enable me Lord, to abide close to you, so that as You shine through me, I can be a wonder to my world in Jesus Name.

Robert Moffat was one of the most influential Bible Translators and impactful missionaries to Africa.
As a small boy, his parents often read the stories of famous missionaries to Robert, which greatly stirred his heart towards God.
At only four years old, one day, Robert knelt at the altar of their small village Church and committed his life to Jesus.
Soon after, their Church conducted a missions meeting and there was a call for mission’s offerings. When one of the ushers passed by, little Robert asked him to put the offering plate down on the floor. As the usher obliged, little Robert stepped into the offering plate and said “I have no money to give to God, but I give Him myself.”
The young boy meant what he said and from then on he began to live with the view that God owned him and all he had.
As a teenager he applied to serve as a missionary in Africa. He would later end up as a world-renowned missionary who did great exploits, opened jungle villages to the Gospel, braved dangers to preach and translate the Bible and exalt Christ on the African continent.
His life became a great inspiration to David Livingstone, who became another legendary missionary to Africa and later became a beloved son-in-law to Robert Moffat.

When we wholly give our lives to God, He uplifts us and uses us for His glory.
True love for God requires giving our all to Him.
God first proved His love for us when He sacrificed His only begotten son for our sakes.
Today is a day when many people across the world profess love to each other in different ways and manners. But the question is how much of that love is really true, because true love requires sacrifice.
Abraham proved his love for God when he willingly obeyed God and placed his beloved son on the altar of sacrifice.
As Abraham proved the sincerity of his love, it connected him to God’s sworn blessing that dramatically lifted his generation.
The power of sacrifice is clearly exhibited as captivity-turning in Psalm 126, when those who went forth bearing tearful seeds, returned rejoicing, with cheerful harvests.
Sacrifice is the way to provoke the invasion of glory in our lives. Our sincere sacrifice of time, energy and resources into God’s kingdom has the capacity to give us a positive change of story.
But above all, God desires that we offer ourselves as living sacrifices.
Becoming a living sacrifice means that we are living for God and His kingdom alone. It means that nothing is ever too much to lay down for the sake of God and His kingdom. When we become so committed, God glory invades our lives in unprecedented dimensions.
Therefore today, while the world celebrates different versions of love, let us show our true love for God by committing to a lifestyle of living for Him and seeking His Kingdom above all else.

PRAYER; Lord, please help me to continually present my life, my time, recourses and all I have to You. May my entire life be dedicated to serving You and the interest of Your kingdom in everything I do and wherever I go in Jesus Name.

One of the most famous Chinese Christian leaders of the 20th century was Watchman Nee. In his book ‘Sit, Walk, Stand’, Watchman Nee tells the story of their mission to an island off the South China coast. He had gone there with six Christian brothers, including a zealous sixteen-year-old new convert named Brother Wu.
While on the island, their preaching seemed fruitless because of the eople’s dedication to an idol they called ‘Ta-wang.’ The people were convinced of this idol’s power because on the day of his festival each year, the weather was always near perfect.
One day, when 16 year old brother Wu went out alone to preach, he boldly declared to a group of people that on the day of the next festival for Ta-wang, the rain would fall.
The crowd was outraged at his statement, however they promised, that if indeed it rained on that date, then they would stop worshipping ‘Ta-wang’ and begin to worship the God of the Christians. When Watchman Nee heard about this confrontation, he called everyone in their group to prayer.
Finally the morning of the festival came. At first there was not a cloud in the sky, but then suddenly heavy rain began to fall. Worshipers of Ta-wang carried it outdoors for the festival’s parade, hoping this would stop the rain. But the rain caused the carriers of the idol to stumble and break the idol’s jaw and left arm.
The village elders decided to choose a new date for the festival and parade. But again on the new date, there was such heavy torrential rain and floods that finally convinced the villagers that the God of the Christians was more powerful than Ta-wang. As a result of this, many of the people stopped their idol worship and became converted to Christianity.

As believers, we are bound to face battles, however we are not permitted to be defeated, because God has guaranteed us constant victory through Christ.
2 Corinthians 2:14 says ‘Now thanks be unto God who always causes us to triumph in Christ.
The Christian life is indeed a life of constant warfare. However in all these things we are more than conquerors. And the victory with which we constantly overcome is our faith. .
When you are born of God you are born to overcome. You cannot be defeated as long as your faith is in place. It doesn’t matter how difficult any situation, you have all it takes to be a winner. The greater One lives in you. Even when it seems you are facing goliath, always remember that the battle is not yours, the battle belongs to the God in you. And He has guaranteed you constant victory through faith.
However, our victory in the world will be determined by our labor in the Word. Faith is putting God’s Word to work, not waiting for God to Work. Therefore to engage the force of triumphant faith, we must commit to diligent study of God’s Word. Indeed the more studious we are, the more glorious our destiny.
This is our year to see the glory of the Lord like never before. It doesn’t matter where you may have been defeated before, in this season God is set to give you new victories and new territories. Therefore get ready to see great and mighty things. As we continue to praise God in every situation, we shall keep moving from victory to victory and from glory to greater glory.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for causing me to triumph always in every battle. By the power of Your Word let there be a forceful turnaround in my life. Let every affliction cease and let there be glory-invasion in every area of my life in Jesus Name.

Early in life, Brandy Allison developed a love for singing and had dreams of being a great musician. But as she grew older, feelings of low self-esteem and lack of self-worth, made her give up on her dreams.
As a teenager, she suffered from depression and eventually became hooked on drugs. At age 17, she moved out of her parents’ home and began dating an old friend whom she soon married. The couple became so addicted to drugs that they couldn’t function without it.
One day Brandy’s husband got into a devastating accident and later died at the hospital. After receiving news of his death, Brandy felt she had come to the end of the road. So right there in the hospital, she surrendered her life to Jesus.
With God’s help, she healed from the pain of losing her husband and overcame her addiction, over time she started seeing herself as God sees her and that dealt with her feelings of depression and low self-esteem.
Soon she rediscovered her love for singing and embarked on writing and recording songs. Today, she is a celebrated Christian artist who shares her journey of faith through her music. She has recently been making waves with her single titled, ‘Walking on Faith’.
She’s also taken up acting, and starred in the Christian movie titled “Virtuous”.

We often start off in life with big dreams and high expectations. But over time the enemy attacks us with self-doubt and fear, and tries to convince us that we lack what it takes to make it to the top.
Lack of self-worth has been a major force in making people to settle for less than God’s best for them.
But no matter how disheveled things may sometimes become, God remains committed to His purpose of manifesting glory in our lives.
God is in the life change business. He can take that which is crooked and fix it. He can take that which is bent and straighten it out. He can take that which is shattered and put it back together.
When you give Jesus full control, He enables you to overcome failures and rise above your self-imposed limitations.
Through seeing yourself in the mirror of God’s Word, you will be transformed into the amazing person God originally intended you to be.
The resurrection power in the Blood of Jesus is ordained for the supernatural restoration of our redemptive dignity.
It can take us from a life of shame to fame, and restore our story back to God’s original plan of glory.
In Zephaniah 3:19 God says He will undo all that afflict us and change our story for good. Today, let us
keep praising Him for the great and mighty things He is set to do in our lives. Certainly, God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask, think or imagine.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the transformational power in the Blood of Jesus that is taking me from a life of mediocrity to the supernatural life of glory and blessings You have ordained for me in this season in Jesus Name.

During the 9/11 terrorist attack, when the twin Tower of the world trade center collapsed, also an adjoining skyscraper known as 7 World Trade Center building was destroyed. However, soon after the attack, reconstruction began on the 7 world trade center building.
It is the first skyscraper to be rebuilt at the World Trade Center site. With the lessons learned from the 9/11 terrorist attack, the engineers made such great improvements that this rebuilt structure can never again be destroyed by a terrorist attack. In fact it has been hailed as the safest building in the world. It has been rebuilt to be a bunker in the sky, with its 52-stories of glass elegance belying a concrete sealed, hardened core. This means that the structure around the core can go down, or be on fire, or be infested with a biological or chemical problem, but the actual building itself will be protected. It is the first of its kind and has become a model, so that many other buildings are being designed accordingly.
The 911 attack was meant to have destroyed this building, but it has bounced back from that attack to become a thing of glory.

Likewise we can turn our pain into power. We all go through disappointments and setbacks. At such times, it’s easy to get discouraged, even bitter. But in God’s plan such seasons are meant to bring us to a place of brokenness where His glory will be revealed through us. Seasons of pain don’t leave us the same. But how the season changes you is up to you. You can come out bitter, or you can come out better. You can come out weaker or you can come out stronger, with a greater confidence in God. You can come out defeated, or you can come out with a new passion, a new fire, excited about the new opportunities in front of you.
Don’t just go through a trial, ‘grow’ through it. It is an opportunity to get stronger, to develop character, to gain new confidence. The fiery trial is not there to stop you. It’s there to prepare you, to increase you, to develop you.
God is really in control. Be assured that He will never allow what you cannot bear to come your way. The enemy may turn on the fire, but the good news is that God has his hand on the thermostat. God controls the heat, the pain and adversity that comes your way.
There is a purpose for the trial. Every struggle is making you stronger. Every difficulty is growing you up. Every painful time, is developing something in you that can only be developed in the tough times. Without those seasons where we are broken we couldn’t see God’s glory manifest in us. It is in those tough times, that we are prepared for the next level of our destiny.
Therefore keep a good attitude and count it all joy,.(James 1;2-4)..The pain is leading to your gain. As you keep blessing God in the season of fiery trial, in the end you shall surely come forth as gold.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for causing me to grow stronger and become better through every trial. I know that in every situation You are at work to manifest glory in me and cause everything to work out together for my good in Jesus Name.

In his book ‘No Limits: The Will to Succeed’, Michael Phelps shared the story of his childhood trauma. He described himself as a child who spoke too quickly, had big ears and was scrawny. This made him to become the object of scorn and torment at the hands of bullies. These bullies continually swatted his big ears and made fun of him. It got to the point where one day Michael couldn’t take the teasing anymore and got into fights..After being suspended from school for fighting, Michael learned to ignore the taunts and became determined to succeed as a swimmer. He made sure that when it came to swimming, no other kid could beat him.
However, for years he was traumatized by the things he suffered in his childhood. Though he had become successful as a swimmer, by 2014, his life was on a downward spiral that almost led to suicide.
But through an encounter with Christ, Michael received new hope and purpose..He went on with his swimming career and eventuality made history as the most successful and most decorated Olympian of all time.
Interestingly, years later when he went back to his childhood neighborhood in Baltimore, most of the kids who used to mock him had ended up with mediocre lives. These people who once made him miserable now celebrated Michael and greatly coveted his friendship.

To see the manifestation of your glorious destiny, you need to ignore detractors and keep pressing forward to your desired goal. The people who try to stop you are usually those with no vision and no destination.
Interestingly when you succeed, these people who laughed at you will turn around to laugh with you.
Sometimes, God will allow men to first mock you before He makes you. However the question is; are we able to withstand the ‘mocking’ season that precedes, our ‘making’ season? Can we endure the story that precedes our glory?
No matter what trials and temptations may come our way, we must learn to ignore the storms and keep looking unto Jesus.
The truth is that the enemy often tries to use contrary people and situations to get you off-course. If you keep focusing on who is speaking against you, or who doesn’t like you, you will eventually lose sight of your vision and miss your mission in life
Beyond the present challenges you see now, there are greater heights, greater victories, greater strength and greater anointing. Though weeping may sometimes endure for the night, surely joy comes in the morning. And despite what may look like groaning now, glory is coming in the end.
Therefore today, if you are faced with any situation that is trying to make a mockery of you, be assured that with God’s help, you will never end in shame! That sickness, poverty, failure, family crisis, etc will not be the end of your story.
In Isaiah 54:4 God gives us the assurance that we shall not be ashamed or confounded.
The coming invasion of glory in your life this year will soon answer everyone that has been asking; ‘where is your God?’
As you continue to stand in faith and keep giving glory to God, everything mocking you will surely end up working for your good.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to maintain my focus as I run the race before me this year. As I keep my eyes upon Your Word and Your promises, I thank You for turning every shame into glory for me in Jesus Name.

The captivating true story of Tammie Jo Shults is contained in the book, ‘Nerves of Steel’. Tammie Jo Shults is a devoted Christian who used to be one of American Navy’s few female fighter pilots.
In the early 1990’s, she joined Southwest Airlines as a commercial pilot. Usually before embarking on a flight she would read her Bible and pray for her crew and passengers and commit the journey into God’s hand.
On April 17, 2018, Captain Tammie Jo was flying a Boeing 737 on routine domestic flight from New York to Dallas when an engine failure almost caused the plane to crash.
But in that moment of crisis, Captain Tammie Jo displayed such great strength that amazed many people. When there was an explosion and the aircraft began to shudder violently and the cockpit was filled with smoke, her faith in God remained firm and unshakeable.
As the aircraft rolled over and began initiating a dive toward the ground, passengers screamed, cried and prayed. By God’s grace, Tammy Jo was able to regain control of the plane and made a bold cabin announcement that the plane was not going to crash.
This statement of faith,. gave the terrified passengers renewed hope. With the plane badly damaged, Tammie Jo had just one shot at either landing it or crashing it. God helped her to make that right landing and saved the lives of 148 people on board. When they finally touched down safely at Philadelphia, Tammy Jo was overwhelmed with gratitude to God.
With the media coverage and celebration of her bravery, she continually told everyone that it was God that took over and landed the plane safely.

Tammie’s habit of spending daily time with God, obviously gave her the faith and strength to overcome in that time of crisis.
The more time we spend daily with God, the more we know Him intimately and the more faith is built up in us for victory.
When we seek God daily we are making deposits of faith in our spiritual bank account that we can withdraw from in the day of trouble.
We are living in the last days, which are perilous times. It is a time when the world will be confronted by great trials and temptations. Sometimes the challenges will be so sudden that only those who have taken time to develop their faith will be able to overcome.
Therefore, we need to build up enough strength and power so as not to faint in the day of adversity.
Proverbs 24:10 says ‘If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small’.
When Peter was walking on the water to go to Jesus, he was suddenly confronted by boisterous winds that struck fear into him and he began to sink. Jesus immediately stretched out His hand and caught him, and said, ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore, didst thou doubt?’ (Matthew 14:27-31).
From this passage, we see that little faith and doubt was what made Peter to begin to sink.
It takes great faith to stand and not sink, when confronted with the boisterous winds of life.
To see the invasion of glory in our lives this year will require unshakeable faith. No matter the trials and temptations we must keep standing by faith on God’s promises. Certainly, faith is our greatest guarantee of victory because it will always overcome the world and its challenges.

PRAYER: Lord, Please enable me to accept the responsibility of building up strong faith. By Your grace this is my year to see victory in every confrontation and experience Your glory invasion in every area of my life in Jesus’ name.

Pastor Katherine Ruonala is co-founder founder and Senior Minister at Glory City Church Brisbane. Together with her husband Pastor Tom Ruonala, they oversee a growing number of churches around the world.
Some years ago, Pastor Katherine fought a fierce battle of faith when she developed nodules on her vocal chords from preaching and leading worship. At that time she lost all of her singing range and doctors said she needed surgery.
However, The Lord told her to begin to speak life over the situation. And so Katherine began declaring repeatedly that she was healed and that her voice had regained strength and clarity.
Though nothing seemed to happen initially, she didn’t give up. She continued speaking in the face of the bleak situation. Then after three months, suddenly a miracle took place and everything went back to normal. She had her full range of singing again. She could speak strong and clear and did not need surgery anymore..God had completely healed her!
She was able to continue her ministry; hosting her own TV show , traveling internationally and authoring several books.
Through standing in faith, resisting the attack of the enemy and speaking the right words, Pastor Katherine was able to overcome at last!

Our divine calling and manifestation of glory will often be resisted by the enemy. Our tongues are powerful weapons for securing our victory.
With our tongue we can determine the outcome of any situation we are confronted with.
Essentially, spiritual warfare is a war of words. Anytime you are faced by strong battles you must refuse to keep silent, speak faith in the face of any opposition.
The negative things that resist our glory and progress can all be overturned when we speak words of power.
As believers, God has given us a mouth and wisdom that all our adversaries ‘shall not be able to gainsay nor resist’ (Luke 21:15).
Furthermore, Isaiah 54:17 tells us, “ every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
There is power in our mouth to destroy the works of darkness and establish Heaven’s agenda for our lives..
When you feed on God’s Word in the area of your challenge, faith will come alive and as you begin to declare what you believe, miraculous changes will take place.
This is your year to experience invasion of glory. Do not let anything rob you of your portion. It is only when we resist the devil that he flees, so today let us stand in faith and vehemently resist everything that appears contrary to God’s will until we see the prophesied glory truly manifest in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to always speak right. As I release Your power today against the hindrances in my life, I know that every opposition will surely bow and I shall arise to my glorious high places in Jesus’ Name.

In the deep sea dwell many amazing marine animals. One of these is a fish called the “flashlight fish,”. The “flashlight fish”, also called lantern-eye fish, are characterized by the presence of luminescent organs just below the eye. They are among the few species of non-deep-sea fishes to possess such organs.
When it is night, some animals are overcome by the darkness, and so hide in their holes, but other creatures like the flashlight fish, who emit light from their bodies, light up their surroundings.
Other animals, we are familiar with, who also glow in the dark, are creatures like the firefly, whose light flickers in dark nights. They can turn their lights off and on, like a flashlight.
This phenomenon of emitting light is known as bioluminescence. And it occurs through a chemical reaction that produces light energy within the organism’s body.
When these creatures are in the dark, they do not allow themselves to be overcome by the darkness, rather from within, they produce their own light for illumination.

As Christians, though we may dwell in a dark world, we are to light up our environment with the glory of God.. Jesus is the light of the world and when He lives in us, we also become the light of our world.
Light is most effective in dark places. And in today’s world, our light is most needed, because of the gross darkness increasing upon the earth. In these last days every believer has been strategically placed to manifest the glory of God in their environment. You are called to be the light of your world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. You are Heaven’s advertisement board of the glory of God upon the earth.
Therefore God sets you up in places of visibility, as candles set upon candlesticks, so that men can see our lights and be drawn into His Kingdom. (Luke 8:16).
If you find yourself in a dark place, such as a difficult family, workplace or neighborhood, you’re not there by accident. You are to shine there with your godly character. Because Jesus let His light shine among sinners, many became believers. Likewise, as we remain consistent witnesses of the Gospel, many lives will be transformed as our light eventually overtake the darkness in them.
2 Corinthians 4:6 says ‘For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”
People are to see the light of God through our lives. Today, through the entrance of God’s Word in our hearts, may His light and glory shine through us to shatter the darkness in the lives of men and draw them into God’s everlasting Kingdom.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always fill my heart with Your Word so that Your light can constantly shine through me to lighten the world around me and draw men into Your Kingdom in Jesus Name. ,

QOUTE;
Illuminate your world for you are a star destined to shine. WORDBITE 222.
