The Roman Emperor, Caesar Augustus was fond of censuses. As recorded in his diary titled “Res Gestae Divi Avgvsti” or “The Deeds of Divine Augustus”, he ordered widespread censuses of Rome at least three times.
One of these was just before Jesus was born, as recorded in the Gospel of Luke.
The purposes of this census was to register people so that they could be taxed, and to register young men for military service.
The census required a huge reshuffling of people as everyone had to return to their ancestral hometowns to be registered.
Both Joseph and Mary were descendants of David , who was from Bethlehem and they were required by the Roman decree to immediately go to Bethlehem, even though Mary was nine months pregnant.
However, while Caesar Augustus was demonstrating his power by decreeing this census, he never knew, he was aiding in the fulfillment of prophesy of the prophet Micah which said the Savior would be born in Bethlehem.
Micah 5:2 says “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days”.

Though Ceaser Augustsu was the most powerful man in the world at that time, yet God used him to get Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem so that Jesus could be born there.

Truly, God can use any one and any situation to accomplish His purpose for our lives.
No matter how outrageously our leaders may act, or what decrees, rules or laws they put in place, God can cause it to all work together to fulfill His divine plan and purpose for us.

Proverbs 21:1 says, “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will.”

Though we may not understand certain situations, we trust that God knows where every road is leading and He is in control of our journey.
Especially as we head towards the New Year, we may not know what the political terrain may hold, but we trust in the God who holds our tomorrow.
Certainly, God has gone ahead of us to make every crooked path straight.

Deuteronomy 31:8 says ‘And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.’

Surely, when we serve and trust God, we will not fear nor be dismayed about the decrees of government or political changes.
Just as Jesus was born in the exact place at the exact time the prophet foretold, we can trust that God is in perfect control of our destiny and our future.
Let us therefore keep appreciating and celebrating His faithfulness, because as long as we walk in line with His Word we can be sure that our future is secure.

PRAYER: Lord, I know that You are in perfect control of my life and all that concerns me. Help me to be rightly positioned, through diligent study of Your Word, so that Your plans for me will be fulfilled in due season in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING – Acts 13:26-52; Joshua 20-21; Job 30

There is a unique aspect of the Christmas story, found only in the Gospel of Matthew. It is the account of the “Magi” from the East who brought gifts to baby Jesus.
The term “Magi” is ultimately a Persian word that referred to a special class of priests in the Persian empire.
They were the professors and philosophers regarded as “Wise Men” of their day.
They were highly educated scholars who were trained in medicine, history, religion and prophecy. They were also trained in astronomy which is the science of the study of the stars.
When they saw the star that foretold the birth of Jesus, they dropped everything to go in search of this new King.
They embarked on a journey of a thousand miles on camels from Persia to Israel, following the star.
They believed so much in the prophecy of the birth of Christ that they travelled upwards of 900 miles to Jerusalem to see him.
Like Queen of Sheba from the South going to visit King Solomon to discover his wisdom (1 Kings 10), the wise men traveled from the East to see the wisdom of God, in the person of Christ Jesus..
The wise men not only left their homes and affairs for months to travel to Jerusalem, they also took a risk of being killed by king Herod, when they came to his palace enquiring about a new born King.
When they finally found baby Jesus, they presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. These gifts were not only expensive, but also significant and symbolic.
Gold represented the wealth and power of a king. Frankincense was used in the temple worship of the Lord. Then myrrh–a kind of perfume made from the leaves of the cistus rose, symbolized Jesus’ suffering and death.
John 19:39 tells us that when Jesus died, His ’body was bound in linen wrappings along with 75 pounds of myrrh and aloes.
It is indeed remarkable and noteworthy that the “Magi” who were prominent and wise men of their nation, risked everything to seek and worship Christ the king.

Truly, no cost is too high for us to pay in seeking and worshipping our Lord.
Jesus deserves our every praise.
As we celebrate Christmas, let us pause and ask ourselves, what gifts we have brought for our king who has done so much for us. Can you imagine what our lives would have been like if Christ hadn’t come to the earth. We would have been lost, hopeless, miserable and condemned to eternal damnation. But Christ came and redeemed us and today has made all the difference in our lives. Truly, He deserves the best and highest we can offer.
Presenting our bodies to Him as a living sacrifice will be a worthy present.

Romans 12:1 says ‘I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.’

Christ will be pleased when we gift Him with a life focused and centered on pleasing Him. John 4:23 says God is seeking for worshippers in spirit and in truth.
Let us therefore decide today to present to Christ the re-dedication of our lives to His service. Indeed giving our lives wholly to Him would be a worthy gift to offer in worship to our king in this season.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the amazing gift You have given to us through the birth of Christ. In appreciation of Your gift, please grant me the grace to live a life that constantly pleases You and glorifies You always in Jesus name. .

No other personality in history has made such an impact on the world as the baby born in Bethlehem.
Jesus’ first great impact on the world took place right at His birth, which marked an event so important that it divided history. Today, the western calendar divides history into events Before Christ (BC) and events Anno Domini (AD), that is, After Christ.
No other leader in the world has left such a mark as Jesus did in the fields of education, legal system, medicine, human rights etc.
Jesus’ message on caring for the poor and needy has been the primary contributing factor for the emergence of numerous hospitals, charities, and educational institutions. For example, nurse Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern patient care services, was motivated by the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Nearly all of the first universities in England and America were started by Christians. The most prestigious and oldest universities in the world such as Harvard, Cambridge, and Oxford were founded upon Christian Biblical principles.
Today, the constitutions of the Western world, also in the civil codes and criminal procedures, are based on the Ten Commandments
The impact of Jesus on science is undeniable. All the early scientists such as Galileo, Newton, Copernicus, Kepler, Pascal etc, were Christians who saw science as a means of uncovering traces of God’s handiwork in the universe.
Indeed no leader has ever inspired mankind to a greater extent than Jesus did.
Notable Historian Philip Schaff described the overwhelming influence of Jesus this way “This Jesus of Nazareth, without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon..’
Today, Jesus continues to powerful impact the world as Christianity which He founded remains the most widespread religion of the world.

Today is Christmas day!!
As we celebrate the birth of our Saviour and His impact, we also celebrate the fact that we are redeemed to live after the order of Christ.
As the Father has sent Jesus, so has He sent us (John 20:21).
We are ordained to be kings and priests to reign on the earth (Revelation 5:10).
There is no ordinary person in redemption because every believer is destined to be a pacesetter and trail blazer and to occupy the topmost places in life.
Deuteronomy 28:13 says ‘And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God.’

Obedience to God’s Word is the key to our divine placement. As we keep following Him each day, inch by inch He gradually leads us into the place of global impact He has destined for us.
He arranges supernatural opportunities and divine connections to help us arrive at our preordained place in life.
Today, as we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us also be reminded that as Jesus is the vine, so are we the branches. Let us keep praising God because as long as we are in Christ we are headed towards an enviable destiny of powerful impact upon our world.

Matthew 16:18 “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”.

DAILY READING; Acts 12; Joshua 15-17; Job 28.

In the year 47 B.C, Herod the Great was only 25 years old when he was named the governor of Galilee.
As the years rolled by, Herod proved to be a cruel man who held tightly to the reins of power and brutally removed anyone who got in his way. He killed to stay in power and human life meant nothing to him. He killed his brother-in-law, his mother-in-law, his wife and even his own children.
His basic character can best be seen by an incident in the year 7 B.C, when he heard that his sons were plotting to overthrow him. He ordered them to be put to death by strangling.
Herod was an old man by the time the wise men came to Jerusalem seeking to see the new born king.
The Bible says, “When Herod heard this he was disturbed.” The word “disturbed” here means to shake violently.
He sent the wise men to Bethlehem to search for the child and report to him, so that he too might go and worship Him.
But after being divinely warned, the wise men went their way . When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and ordered the cold-blooded murder of the male babies under two years of age in Bethlehem and its vicinity.
But despite all his murderous efforts, Herod failed to kill baby Jesus.
The Bible concludes the story by noting the death of Herod and the return of Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus from Egypt, to settle in the Galilean village of Nazareth.

Herod was not the only person that has tried to destroy Christ and His people. Even in our own day evil men and women continue to rise up against God’s work and His people. But just as Herod failed, so they continue to fail woefully in their efforts.
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus says “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”.

Truly, the gates of hell can never prevail against genuine believers in Christ.
Let this Christmas season be a reminder to you that every destiny- destroyer sent to hinder you will fail woefully in their assignment. No matter how much anyone tries to put you down you will only keep rising higher.
Because you are born of God, you are certainly destined to always overcome.
No matter how tough any situation, it cannot stop you, as long as you walk closely with God.
You’re a person of destiny. The reason the enemy is fighting so hard – sending financial troubles, sickness, family problems, etc – is an attempt to destroy your mission and vision.
But your purpose cannot be stopped by those waves of opposition. As you keep seeking God and obeying His Word, you will surely triumph always.
God has ordained you for a life of global impact on earth and nothing and no one can stop you from that glorious destiny, as you stay committed to Christ.
Certainly, with God on our side, we are indefatigable and truly unstoppable.
Therefore, as we celebrate in this season, let us continually praise and give thanks to God who causes us to triumph always.

PRAYER: Lord, as I celebrate in this season I thank You for the glorious destiny of victory I have through Christ Jesus. Thank You for causing me to triumph always and soar to greater new heights in Jesus Name.

On July 20, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin became the first humans ever to land on the moon. American President, Richard Nixon, along with millions of others, watched the historic event.
Nixon joined approximately 500 million people around the world in watching the astronauts leave their lunar landing module and step on the moon. After they planted an American flag on the moon’s surface, the astronauts spoke directly to President Nixon, who congratulated them on their historic mission. His phone was linked via satellite through the NASA control center in Houston, Texas.
Later on, President Richard Nixon stated regarding this tremendous feat, “The greatest event in human history occurred when man first put his feet on the moon”.
But Jim Irwin, also an American astronaut known for his Christian faith, after reflecting upon Nixon’s statement responded by saying, “The most significant achievement of our age is not that man stood on the moon, but rather that God in Christ stood on the earth”!

Truly, the greatest experience in human history is when God came down in the person of Jesus Christ and firmly planted His feet on this planet, to save lost humanity.
The story of Christmas is that God gave to mankind the greatest gift of all in the person of His son, Jesus Christ.
God presented to the world a Baby born in a manger in the little town of Bethlehem. This Baby brought light into a spiritually dark world.
God gave His only Son, born in a humble stable, to shed His blood on the cross as redemption for us. We were doomed to die in our sin, forever separated from God, but Jesus came and redeemed us.
At the heart of Christmas is the fact that God sent us the gift of a Savior. Without this gift we had no hope, but through Him, today every chain of captivity has been broken off us and we are able to serve and worship God in spirit and in truth. Through His blood we have been washed from sin and now have the victory over the devil, hell and the grave.
2000 years ago through the tender mercy of God, the Day spring from on high visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.
Christ has come into the world as the light that shatters every darkness in our lives.
Through Him we can have a new life of blessings, healing, prosperity, protection and abundance of every good thing.
At Christmas, we celebrate that the Almighty, Glorious God became a man, taking on the limitations of time and space, to come into the world to show us unmerited love, mercy and grace Through Him we have escaped eternal damnation and now have the hope of Heaven. This has made all the difference in our lives.
Truly, the coming of Christ to the world is the greatest event in all of human history.

PRAYER: Father, as I celebrate this season, please help me to stay focused on the real reason why Jesus came to the earth. Enable me to share Your love with those around me and to shine Your light for all to see in Jesus’ Name.

The book, ‘The View From Down Here is Just Fine’ is the incredible story of Clay Dyer. Born without arms and legs Dyer amazingly has become one of the top professional sport bass fishermen In the world..
Born with no fingers or thumb, Clay has never let these obstacles stop him.
He competes on the national pro fishing circuit, and he’s won about 20 state and regional fishing tournaments.
Despite his condition he gives all glory to God.
He only remembers one time when he questioned why God had made him this way. When he was almost 5 years old, he asked his father, ‘Daddy, why did God make me like this?’ His dad looked at him and said, ‘Son, I don’t know, but I know God doesn’t make mistakes.’
And with time he has come to see indeed that God doesn’t make mistakes. God made him for a purpose to be able to go out and witness and encourage people to live for Him.
Clay’s life is a testimony and inspiration to many people he comes across. Even with disabilities Clay has always managed to have an upbeat attitude and find ways to get around everyday living such as using his lips and teeth to type text messages on his phone.
He is happily married, and serves as Evangelist of the Gospel. His life motto is ‘If I can, You Can!! [Phil 4:13.]
In everything he has learned to give thanks.

Joy is not necessarily the absence of difficulties, rather it is the assurance of God’s Presence even in the midst of adversity.
After Jesus was born, an angel appeared to shepherds near Bethlehem and proclaimed, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10–11)
The good news of great joy did not end with the birth of Jesus, His presence in the world continues today to fill believers with inexplicable joy even in the most adverse circumstances.
Life is not always a bed of roses and sometimes, tough situations may arise, but in everything we keep giving God thanks because this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us.
As believers, Joy is the spiritual and emotional fuel we run on. As long as we can maintain our joy, we will certainly have the victory in every situation..
Our living is determined not so much by what life brings to us as by the attitude we bring to life; not so much by what happens to us as by the way our mind looks at what happens.
It is true we may sometimes pass through trials and temptations, but in everything we must be deliberate to exalt God above the circumstances.
We all face difficult situations in life. No one on earth is exempt from trials. But despite the difficult times, we have to deliberately make gratitude our attitude. We have to make it a habit to maintain our praise.
The truth is that God is always faithful. If we look back at our lives, at past trials, we will see that despite all we passed through, God’s grace has always brought us through.
Indeed despite all you have been through, look at what the Lord has done in your life! In spite of the obstacles and the oppositions, He has blessed and taken care of you.
Therefore no matter what you pass through today, the same God is available to again give you the victory. This is why we praise Him in all things. Because His grace and mercy never runs out, they are always new every morning.

PRAYER: Father, today I choose to give You thanks in all things! And no matter how difficult things may sometimes seem, I thank You because I know You are at work in my life and Your Glory is being revealed through me in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING – Acts 10:34-48; Joshua 9-10; Job 25

Sandy Boyd came from a family that had practiced witchcraft for generations. Her grandmother introduced her to witchcraft at a young age. At only nine years, her father who was a satanist introduced her to drugs and she became addicted.
Sandy desired a better life and at 17 years, she ran away from home and got married. She gave birth to a daughter but her marriage ended shortly after.
One night, as she lay in bed, she saw about an eight-foot-tall, hooded figure who pointed to her and told her it was time for her to teach her daughter the witchcraft her grandmother had taught her.
Sandy didn’t want her daughter to be caught in the vicious occultic cycle of her family. So she decided she would commit suicide so that her daughter would be adopted by a normal family and live a better life.
On the day she planned to kill herself, Sandy drove out to a remote area, sobbing, she brought out a razor blade to slash her wrist. But at that moment her hand fell back and touched a small book in between her seat and the console. She picked it up, and found it was a Gideons New Testament Bible.
She had no idea how the book got there and had never seen it in the several years she had been driving the car. She put the razor blade down and thumbing through the small Bible she got to the back pages and saw a sample sinner’s prayer. She read the prayer aloud, and right there gave her life to Jesus Christ!
The next day, she called her former father-in-law, who was a pastor and the only Christian she knew. He paid for plane tickets for Sandy and her daughter to come and stay with him and his wife in Texas. During the next three years of staying with the pastors family, Sandy grew strongly in faith and severed every tie to the occult. She is a first-generation Christian in her family. She got married in 2005 and today she and her husband pastor a church in Garland, Texas.
Her story is captured in her book titled ‘Transformed’

Sandy Boyd would have been doomed to a destiny of occultic bondage but Jesus miraculously delivered her. The important issue of Christmas is not so much that Jesus came, but why He came. Jesus came to set the captives free.

1 John 3:8 says “For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that he might undo the works of the devil.”.

While we commemorate the birth of Christ, we must keep in mind that His birth was just the first step in God’s glorious plan for our redemption.
In a world full of spiritual wickedness, Jesus was born to die and deliver us from every satanic bondage
He shed His Blood to break the devil’s stranglehold on the lives of men.
Through Christ, our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers (Psalm 124:7).
Christmas is about how God has touched our lives with his love by sending His Son to free us from captivity.
As we prepare to cross over into the new year, the Blood of Jesus will certainly destroy every pharaoh still trying to keep us in bondage. The Egyptians we saw in 2022 we shall see them no more forever.
None of the sickness, financial instability, relationship crisis and other troubles of 2022 shall cross over with us. Surely affliction shall not arise a second time.
Let us therefore keep praising God for going before us to break the gates of brass, cut asunder the bars of iron and usher us into our glorious new season .

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your great deliverance in my life. Thank You for sending Jesus to the earth to set me eternally free. As I praise You today, I know that You are granting me victory in every area of my life in Jesus Name. ..

John 4:24 ‘God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.’

DAILY READING; • Acts 10:1-33; Joshua 7-8; Job 24

The Jewish Festival of Lights known as Hanukkah is being celebrated this week. The 2022 Hanukkah began at sundown on Sunday, December 18, and ends Monday, December 26. The festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and of spirituality over materiality.
The particular events that inspired the Hanukkah festival took place around 200 B.C. This was when the Jews rose up against their Greek-Syrian oppressors in the Maccabean Revolt.
During this turbulent phase of Jewish history, the Land of Israel came under the control of the Syrian king, Antiochus IV Epiphanes,
Antiochus abolished Judaism, outlawing the observance of Shabbat and the festivals, as well as circumcision. Antiochus desecrated the Temple, the holiest place for Jews at that time. Altars and idols were set up for the worship of Greek gods and the Temple was renamed for the Greek god Zeus. He offered Jews two options: conversion or death.
A Jewish resistance movement then began to resist the cruelty of Antiochus, led by a priestly family known as the Maccabees. The head of the family was Mattathias, an elderly man. His son, Judah, became the chief strategist and military leader of the resistance. Though outnumbered, Judah Maccabee and his fighters miraculously won two major battles, routing the Syrians decisively.
After their victory they gathered to cleanse and rededicate the Temple to the Lord. Part of the ceremony involved lighting the menorah which was the gold candelabrum with seven branches that was to be kept burning every night in the temple.
However to their dismay the pure olive oil found in the temple was only enough to keep the menorah’s candles burning for a single day. But they witnessed a miracle when the little oil kept the flames burning for another eight nights, until they were able to produce more pure olive oil. This wondrous event inspired the Jewish sages to proclaim a yearly eight-day festival known as Hanukkah. Today, the holiday reminds Jews to always rededicate themselves to God and keep their spiritual fire burning.

There is reference to Hanukkah or the Feast of Dedication in the New Testament when John 10:22-24 says that Jesus attended the “Feast of Dedication” which took place in Jerusalem.
This event was significant enough for Jesus to join the celebrations.
Truly, our rededication is of great importance to God.
The act of rededication means to return to God with all of our heart, soul, mind.
Rededication is to deliberately reject sin, abandon our shallow devotion to Christ and devote ourselves to Him more fully.
Today there is a fierce spiritual battle going on in the world for the souls of men. Because the enemy knows his time is short, he is fighting to snare as many destinies as he possibly can.
Therefore, there is a need to always examine our lives and rededicate our lives to Jesus if we find ourselves wanting.
Since our fellowship with God is in the spirit, we need to move away from carnality and truly walk in the spirit.

John 4:24 says ‘God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.’

Therefore today, let us dedicate ourselves afresh to a lifestyle of holiness, prayers, worship and obedience to God’s Word.
Without a re-dedication to the Lord, we are putting our future at risk. Only a revival of re-dedication to the Lord will preserve us and grant us the faith to face the coming year. As we give ourselves in absolute rededication to God, we will see drastic, dramatic and dimensional shift to our next level and enjoy victory on every side.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace, to build a strong relationship with You by spending quality time in Your Presence daily. Please help me to align myself with Your Word so that I can keep triumphing always in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING – Acts 9:26-43; Joshua 5:2-6:27; Job 23

The birth of Jesus Christ was the greatest event in human history.
We may think that protocol would demand that the great news of His birth should have been told to the highest authorities in the region. Yet, this good news was proclaimed by angels to shepherds in the field.
So, why didn’t the angels make the announcement to Caesar Augustus in Rome?
Bethlehem is a mere 5.5 miles (less than 9 kilometers) from the Jewish capital, Jerusalem. Why didn’t the angels appear to the Roman Governor Quirinius or King Herod? Why didn’t they appear to the Jewish high priest at the Temple in Jerusalem?
Interestingly that night God looked down on all the earth and He chose poor shepherds to receive the angelic pronouncement. You would think God would have chosen more polished, more educated and influential people to first hear news of the historic birth, but He chose a group of shepherds doing their best to take care of their sheep at night.

From the outset God has often used ordinary common— even supposedly “ignorant” people — to do His work on earth. Moses came from tending sheep in the desert to lead Israel out of Egypt. Similar examples of ordinary people doing extraordinary things for God abound in the Bible.
When God “calls” people He tends not to call the “wise, the influential or those of noble birth, but rather, God chooses to use the foolish, the weak the lowly and the despised.
(1 Corinthians 1:26-29).

When Jesus chose the 12 disciples, He didn’t choose the most qualified men, the most talented, the most educated. He chose ordinary people that had weaknesses and flaws.
If God chose us just based on our background, performance, or ability, none of us would have a chance. He doesn’t choose us because of what we are. He chooses us because of what we can become.
One of the mistakes we could make is to go through life looking at what’s wrong with us than we do looking at what’s right with us.
Stop sitting on the sidelines of life, not pursuing your dreams, your goals, because you feel unqualified. God handpicked you, not because you were perfect, not because you had it all together, but He chose you because of the potentials on the inside of you and what you can become.
David was a shepherd boy, but God made him to experience a turnaround that led him to the throne.
God can suddenly break protocols and overturn schedules, for your sake.
When you are willing to pay the price of faithfulness while serving in obscurity, you will be divinely visited and blessings will locate you.
It doesn’t matter where you may be today, you may not know the right people or have the money or have the right certificates. Just continue to diligently serve God at your current post.
Sooner than you know it, God will miraculously locate you, cause you to hear amazing good news and use you to do extraordinary things..

PRAYER: Lord, I Thank You for causing the lines to suddenly fall for me in pleasant places. I thank You Lord, for doing exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name. .

Psalm 34:5‘They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.’

DAILY READING – Acts 9:1-25; Joshua 3:1-5:1; Job 22

In 1947, a Bedouin shepherd boy was looking for his lost sheep and threw stones into a cave where he thought the lost sheep might be hiding. To his surprise what he heard was the echo of the stones hitting jars. Curios, he went into the cave. There he discovered ten tall jars with scrolls carefully placed in them. This marked the astonishing discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
What is amazing was that those scrolls had been lying in that cave undisturbed for 1900 years! But they were discovered just when it mattered most.
At that that time in the 20th century none of the old original scripts of the Bible were anymore in existence and people had begun to argue that the newer versions of the Bible contained errors and were not in synch with the original ancient scripts. These arguments sought to overturn even the authenticity of Christianity itself. However, the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.in 1947, firmly shut up the mouth of the naysayers.
It would become one of the most important finds in the history of modern archaeology. The discovery of the dead sea scrolls proved the arguments of the naysayers wrong. Though these scripts were at least a thousand years older than the oldest Bible Script at that time, it was amazing to discover that their words were the same words as those found in the modern Bibles. This indeed proved that there were no errors in the modern Bible, and it brought to a halt the arguments against the authenticity of the Bible.

The truth is that we can always trust the faithfulness of God. He knows how to show up at the right time.
When the world was in dire need of a Saviour, God sent Jesus into the world. He was born to save humanity from spiritual slavery and bondage. However, there were many oppositions to His ministry especially from the Jewish leaders who refused to accept He was the long-awaited Messiah.
After, they had succeeded in crucifying Jesus and He was buried, it seemed the end of the matter. His disciples became a mockery now that it seemed their master was no more.
One evening His disciples were huddled together in a room behind locked doors for fear of being arrested. Then suddenly Jesus walked through the door. He was alive! And in the events that followed He proved to the world that His disciples had not believed Him in vain.

Psalm 34:5 says ‘‘They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.’

The truth is that those that put their trust in God are never put to shame. Perhaps you have been believing God over certain issues. Though it may seem to be taking long, it doesn’t mean that it’s not going to happen. Perhaps it may seem you have become a mockery among men as they continually ask ‘where is your God?’. But your God is about to show up. He will do things in your life that will let men know that this can only be the finger of God. Indeed God is able to prove Himself alive and well in your situation. Just remain faithful and trusting. Keep confessing God’s Word and keep praising and blessing Him. Stay encouraged. Your time is coming. The enemy doesn’t have control or the final say. People don’t control what happens to you. Only the Most High God has the final say over your life. He’s in control of your destiny. And just when men think the case is closed, He will show up to vindicate you. You are about to see God move in amazing ways to prove you before men. You can’t explain it, but suddenly things will happen that will put to shame your detractors and authenticate your testimony as a child of God.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to learn to look beyond the present and keep my eyes on Your promises. Thank You for arising for me such that no one will be in doubt of Your good hand upon my life in Jesus Name.
