Luke 21:15 ‘For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.’

DAILY READING • Luke 3:1-20; Ezekiel 40-41; Isaiah 62

Pastors Katherine and Tom Ruonala are the founders and Senior Ministers of Glory City Church Brisbane and also oversee a growing number of churches around the world.
Pastor Katherine hosts her own television show and travels internationally as a conference speaker. She is also the author of several books and a worship leader..
Years ago, Pastor Katherine developed nodules on her vocal chords from preaching and leading worship. She lost all of her singing range and was told she needed surgery. However, The Lord told her to begin to speak life over the situation. And so Katherine began declaring that her voice was strong and clear.
Nothing happened for a while, but after three months everything went back to normal. She had her full range of singing again. She could speak strong and clear and did not need a surgery anymore because God completely healed her. Through the power of speaking the right words, she was able to overcome the attack that came against her and receive her miracle.

Our tongues are powerful weapons for confronting everything contrary to God’s will for us.
The words we speak are powerful.
With our tongue we can determine the outcome of any situation we are confronted with.
Essentially, spiritual warfare is a war of words. Anytime you are faced by strong battles, you need to engage the weapon of your tongue. You cannot afford to keep silent before any opposition.
When Goliath cursed David by his gods, David cursed him in return in the Name of his own God. David did not allow Goliath to have the final say; that was why he could bring down Goliath’s head.
Likewise, we do not allow contrary situations to have the final say in our lives. The things that resist our advancement such as closed doors, near-success-syndrome, sicknesses, evil occurrences etc, can all be overturned when we speak words of power.
As believers, God has given us a mouth and wisdom that all our adversaries ‘shall not be able to gainsay nor resist’ (Luke 21:15).
Furthermore, Isaiah 54:17 tells us, “ every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
There is power in our mouth to destroy the works of darkness.
When you feed on God’s Word in the area of your challenge, faith will come alive and as you begin to declare what you believe, miraculous changes will take place.
Today, let us stop watching any situation we don’t want. What becomes of us is largely determined by the words we speak.
Let us apply our tongues as weapons of warfare against every enemy of our success and wellbeing.
Most importantly, today, as we come to the end of the month of August, let us use our tongues to give God worthy praise; He is our Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord our banner, our mighty warrior; our king of glory who wins all our battles for us.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to always speak right. As I release Your power today against the hindrances in my life, I know that every opposition will surely bow and I shall arise to my glorious high places in Jesus’ Name.
