Tony Gaskins grew up in a Christian home where his father was a pastor. But their family lived in a low-income neighborhood where gangs, drugs, and crime were a way of life. As Tony grew older, the flashy lifestyle of gang members soon began to strongly attract him.
By the time he was 18 years old, Tony went from being a church boy to becoming a street thug and gangster. From then until age 23, he lived in a back-slidden state where he reveled in a sinful and hedonistic lifestyle. From the money he made by selling drugs, he bought an expensive car.
He had a wake-up call when his car was suddenly stolen. Finally, it seemed his eyes were opened to the futility, insecurity, and vanity of his worldly pursuits.
From that day on, he repented and returned to the Lord. While many of his friends would end up either killed or serving life sentences in prison, Tony began a new life of serving God.
At 25 years old, he started his first company and made rapid progress. Operating on his gifts, he soon became a highly sought-after speaker.
Today, Tony owns five companies and is a motivational speaker, author, and life coach who is known internationally and listed among the 50 most motivational people on the Web.

In Luke 15, the prodigal son experienced a destiny-defining moment when he came to himself. As he changed his thinking, his life also changed. After the prodigal son sat down and reasoned, he came up with a plan of action. He arose and went back home to his father. The result was that his dignity and progress were restored.
Just like the prodigal son, anytime we find ourselves stuck and things seem not to be working, we need to stop and think of where we could have missed the mark.
If we are consistently not getting the desired results, then we need to sit down and reason out what to do to correct the situation. Reasoning is the ability to process issues to logical and productive ends.
A lack of reasoning can make a man waste a whole lifetime grounded in the same spot. But the right mental exercise will produce progress and excellence in us. Indeed, our success and progress are tied to the effective use of our minds. As believers, our minds are loaded with divine deposits.
2 Timothy 1:7 says that God has given us a sound mind, and 1 Corinthians 2:16 says that we have the mind of Christ. By God’s grace, as we begin to put our minds effectively to work in this season, we will certainly experience exceptional breakthroughs, divine promotions, miraculous turnarounds and unlimited success in every area.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to diligently study Your Word so that I will begin to manifest superior reasoning and obtain exceptional results that will bring glory to Your Name wherever I go in Jesus Name.
