In 1799, a young boy was fishing in a stream in North Carolina, when he saw a shiny rock gleaming in the water. He lifted this small rock and took it home. His father named John Reed was intrigued when he saw this interesting looking rock. But after examining it and not knowing what it was, he placed it by the door to be used as a doorstop. Unknown to John Reed, the rock was solid gold which at today’s gold prices would be worth at least $240,000! Yet John reed and his family used this gold rock as a doorstop for the next three years. However, one day in 1802 John Reed decided to take the interesting rock to a jeweler. The Jeweler realizing it was a 17 pound gold nugget quickly asked to buy it. And John still not knowing the value asked to be paid a mere $3.50. Later realizing that the jeweler had cheated him, he started searching for more gold in the area.  The news of the discovery of gold in the area would set the stage for America’s first gold rush. And  John Reed and his family would later become rich through discovery of more gold.

As sons of God, we are carriers of great treasures, but lack of knowledge can cause us to suffer unnecessarily.

2 Peter 1:3 says God has given us all things that we need to live a good life but they are only delivered to us through knowledge.

The Kingdom of God operates through the key of knowledge.
In Luke 11, Jesus rebuked the scribes and Pharisees, for taking away the key of knowledge. And in Mathew 16:19, Jesus speaking to His disciples said ‘And I will give unto you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven.’

God’s Word contains the keys of the Kingdom which unlocks the doors to our divine inheritance. Through knowledge of the Word we understand our covenant privileges and operate with spiritual authority as sons of God upon the earth.
As the redeemed of the Lord, we are not born again to suffer again. Rather it is God’s will that we prosper and be in health. [3 John 1:2]. But our level of experience will be determined by our level of understanding and faith. Everyone’s portion is delivered to them according to their faith.
Today, many people are grounded who are meant to be flying because they lack knowledge of what belongs to them.
Ecclesiastes 10:5 describes an error where servants ride, while princes walk. Why? Because the princes lack knowledge of who they are.
In God’s Kingdom it is those that know their God that can do exploits. Therefore in this new month of August let us seek greater knowledge of God through His Word so as to excel exceedingly.
As we grow in faith, certainly, in this month, we will break through every barrier hindering our progress and enjoy dominion and exceptional exploits in all our endeavors.

PRAYER:
Lord, I know Your Word is always true, please grant me the grace to access the faith I need for my inheritance to be delivered to me. May I never be a victim of spiritual ignorance in Jesus Name.:
