Jentezen Franklin is an international minister of the Gospel and the Senior Pastor of Free Chapel, a multi-campus church based in Gainesville, Georgia.
Jentezen‘s father was a pastor and he was raised in a Christian home. But during his teenage years, Jentezen became rebellious. Through peer pressure, he began to stray and move with the wrong crowd.
However, Jentezen’s parents had prayed for him so much that he couldn’t even enjoy sin. When he joined his friends to experiment with drugs, he said that even in his intoxicated state he would still be haunted by the words of the Bible. When they got high on drugs, while his friends would be hallucinating about interesting things, Jentezen would be seeing visions of Moses and Elijah.
His parents’ relentless prayers ensured that God’s hand remained on him and he couldn’t escape the call upon his life. Anytime he tried to do anything bad, he would often get caught and his deeds would be exposed.
Finally when Jentezen was 16 years, he quit trying to run from God and fully committed his life to Jesus. As he began to serve God, doors of opportunity began to open up for him.
In fulfilment of the call upon his life, he later went into the ministry. Today, Jentezen Franklin is a successful pastor whose televised broadcast, Kingdom Connection, reaches about 2.3 billion viewers around the world with the Good News of the Gospel

As believers we are not ‘free’ to do whatever we want. There is a divine stamp upon our lives that
makes it difficult to ever enjoy life outside of God.
We are designed to only grow and progress through Christ. Jesus said in John 16:4 that just as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself; except it remains in the vine, neither can we bear fruit unless we remain in Him.
Things will work only when we’re pursuing the dreams God has called us to achieve, the goals He has equipped us to reach and the lives He has entrusted us to touch.
Frustrations, failures, setbacks will only be the results when a Christian attempts to operate outside of God’s will.
Proverbs 13:15 says that the way of transgressors is hard. Those who stray outside of God’s will will find that the road only keeps getting rougher and tougher,. But the path of the just is as a shining light that shines brighter and brighter. Though you may begin small, your later end will greatly increase.
As you follow God’s divine vision, you will be followed by His divine provision. Job 36:11 says ‘If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.’
It is therefore our choice to abide in Christ and abide in His blessings or go the way of the world and reap the consequences.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 says that God has set before us the choice of life and death, blessings and curses. Let us therefore choose His life and blessings by making the decision to live solely for Him. Our choice to serve God will affect even our generations unborn. God’s hand will extend to their lives and keep them from the paths of destruction. Surely, living for God, is the best investment we can ever make on earth.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to keep my focus on following You and not be derailed by the distractions around me. Please help me to make Your plan and purpose always top priority in my life in Jesus Name.

When God places His hand upon a man in life nothing can come against him, this is because the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. WORDBITE 222
