Psalms 82:6 ‘I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.’
DAILY READING; John 7:25-52; 1 Chronicles 29; Zechariah13
On a very dark night, if you look up at the sky, you may find a faint band of light that appears like milk spilled across the sky.
This band of light is our galaxy, which the ancient Romans called ‘via lacteal’ meaning the “milky way.”
The Milky Way is massive and unimaginable in size, yet it is only one of billions of galaxies in the universe.
A galaxy is a huge bunch of stars clustered together in space. It is estimated that there are between 100 and 400 billion stars in the Milky Way.
These billions of stars are far separated from each other by great distances.
For instance, the Sun which is one of the stars in the Milky Way has its closest neighboring star about 4.24 light-years away. A light-year is about 9.44 trillion km and would take walking for 950 million years to cover the distance!
Outside of the Milky Way there are countless number of stars in the other billons of galaxies in the universe. The total number of stars in the observable universe is believed to be more than all the grains of sand on all the oceans of the world combined.
Yet, the Bible says that God calls these stars by their names and incredibly holds the entire universe in His hands!
God says in Isaiah 48:13 “Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.”
We must always keep in mind that God who created and controls the amazingly vast universe, is also our Heavenly Father.
It’s easy to go through life thinking that we’re insignificant, ordinary, nothing special about us and just another statistic among the eight billion people on earth.
But as a believer, there is nothing ordinary or average about you.
You are born of God and ordained to manifest His power and dominion as a god upon the earth.
Psalms 82:6 says ‘I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.’
Jesus re–echoed this statement in John 10:34, when He told the Jews ‘Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?’
As children of God we are destined to be signs and wonders to our world.
Yet too many times, we fail to realize who we truly are. We focus on our weaknesses, our inadequacies, our failures, mistakes, family limitations etc.
But as sons of God, greatness is in our genes and we are destined to stand out in our fields of endeavor and leave our mark on our generation.
We are not expected to fail or be defeated because we carry the DNA of Almighty God and therefore must live extraordinary lives that reflect our divine nature.
However, to live in victory, we need to be full of faith which is the victory that overcomes the world. And faith comes by diligently focusing on God’s Word.
Today, let us constantly seek God’s Word so as to receive the power to live as sons of God upon the earth and truly manifest the amazing nature of the Almighty creator of the universe.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for ordaining me for dominion on earth. Certainly through Christ I can do all things and in this season I receive grace to ascend to extraordinary heights to truly show that I am born of God in Jesus Name. .
