Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Jesus’ birth did not arrive with royal fanfare or political announcement, yet it became the single most influential event in human history. Before that night in Bethlehem, the world was largely ruled by violent empires where power defined justice, slavery was normal, human life held little value, and the poor or sick were left to die. But when Christ came, everything began to shift.
His teachings sparked a movement that touched every aspect of society. Early believers pioneered the first hospitals and orphanages, creating systems of care for the weak and forgotten.
Education as we know it today also has Christian foundations. Some of the world’s greatest universities — Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale — were established by Christians. Bible translation, literacy movements, and missions brought education to Africa, Asia, and South America, reshaping cultures from within.
Christ’s coming inspired political and humanitarian reform. The abolition of the slave trade was championed by believers like William Wilberforce..Many global relief organizations — from the Red Cross to World Vision — were birthed from Christ-centered conviction.
Even time itself submits to His birth. History is divided into Before Christ (B.C.) and In the Year of Our Lord (A.D.). No emperor, king, scientist, or nation has ever reset time — but Jesus did. His birth marked the dawn of hope, dignity, and a new world.
Today is Christmas Day!
As we celebrate our Savior, let us remember that the same Jesus whose arrival reshaped the world is the same Jesus living inside every believer today.
As the Father sent Jesus into the world with assignment and purpose, He now sends us to bring light and positive changes to our spheres of influence (John 20:21). The purpose of His birth was not only to save us from sin but to position us for global impact. Just as His entry into the world marked a turning point in history, His entry into our hearts marks a turning point in our destiny.
Deuteronomy 28:13 assures us that those who walk in God’s ways are destined to rise: “The Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail…” In the same way Christ rose from obscurity to ultimate glory, you too are ordained to rise — in business, ministry, career, influence, and purpose. Your world will not remain the same, as long as Christ lives in you.
Isaiah 9:6 tells us His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Because we are one with Christ, our lives should reflect the wonders inherent in Him.
So on this Christmas Day, let us remember that the greatest gift has already been placed within us — Christ in us, the hope of glory. Just as Christ’s birth changed the world — His presence in us has positioned us for global impact and unending glory.
PRAYER
Lord, I thank You for sending Jesus to be our Redeemer, Savior and Light to our world. Today, I receive fresh grace to live a life of power and global impact; to walk in obedience, make positive changes and manifest as a sign and the wonder to my generation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
