Romans 4:20 ‘He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;’

DAILY READING • Revelation 21-22; Isaiah 9-10; Psalm 111

Pat Robertson, the longtime TV host, minister, and founder and chairman of The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), died this month on June 8, 2023 at the age of 93.
Pat was born the son of a U.S. senator, and after graduating from Yale, he had hoped to become a successful businessman. In his 1972 autobiography, “Shout It From the Housetops”, he wrote about his dream of living the life of a New York socialite. But all that suddenly changed in the 1950s when he became born-again and felt the Lord leading him to build a Christian television network for His glory.
At that time there was no successful model for Christian TV. But Robertson moved by faith having no more than $70 to his name and a company bank account with a meager $3 initial deposit.
When he saw a dilapidated TV station for sale in Portsmouth, Virginia, he had not enough money to purchase it, but through Gods favor, Pat got it for free. This was followed by difficult months of preparation for the TV station to take off. Then on October 1, 1961, nearly two years after,, with decrepit television equipment Pat sent a feeble signal to nearby homes and thus was birthed The Christian Broadcasting Network [CBN]
From a defunct television station CBN has become a broadcasting powerhouse today—with a $300 million annual budget, reaching millions of people in 174 countries across six continents.

While Pat Robertson has gone home to his reward, we can learn a great lesson from his life to persist in faith until we attain our God-ordained vision. Each of us have an assignment from God which we will one day return home to give an account of. This thought should keep us running towards our vision with persistence, tenacity and strong faith.
Though you may not have enough resources or qualification, when you are determined to walk in faith and obedience, God will work in and through you to accomplish great things on earth.
However, due to the many challenges we often face on life’s journey, many of us may begin to doubt our vision and become tempted to quit.
While our faith can move mountains, our doubts can create them. Doubts can cause us to forget about our race to the top and settle in the valley of mediocrity and nonentity.
This is why it is important to constantly feed on God’s Word which is the source of all faith. Meditating on Scriptures paints the pictures of possibilities that propel us forward despite obstacles and setbacks. When our natural reasoning is telling us, “It’s never going to work out” knowledge of God’s faithfulness from His Word emboldens us to keep pressing forward.
Faith imparts in you deep inner confidence that makes you see the invisible and call those things that be not as though they were.
Unwavering confidence in God is what makes us victorious in any contest.
Psalm 125;1 says ‘Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever’
Strong faith in God causes you not to be moved by circumstances.
The Bible said concerning Abraham: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; (Romans 4:20-21).
Certainly, as we keep giving glory to God and keep walking in faith, it is only a matter of time before we see our great visions come into speedy and glorious manifestation.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to stop focusing on limitations, challenges or obstacles. I praise You because through Christ I can do all things and attain the glorious heights You have destined for me in Jesus Name. .
