Ephesians 3:20 ’Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,’
DAILY READING; Hebrews 11:1-22; Exodus 13:1-14:31; Proverbs 5
In 1989, the U.S. launched a surprise invasion into Panama to dethrone General Manuel Noriega. About 24,000 American troops fought in the invasion, called “Operation Just Cause.”
In the score of battles that were fought, some soldiers lost their lives. One of them was Roy Dennis Brown Jr.
Shortly before he was killed, Roy had written a letter to his mum, which said ″If you’re reading this letter, then you already know that something has happened to me. Tell everyone in the family and all my friends that I love them all and that my death was for a good cause,″ Brown wrote. ″Get over my death and continue for success in your life.″
Though he didn’t post this letter and kept it in his belongings, his prediction came to pass.
Roy Brown was killed on December 20 1989. During the invasion, in the confusion of the early-morning gunfire, which was erupting from all sides, Roy Dennis Brown Jr. was shot by “friendly fire”. He was killed mistakenly by his own troops, the U.S. Army .
His letter, found by an officer who gathered Brown’s belongings from his locker, was hand-delivered to his family a few days later.
Thoughts and expectations are powerful. What a man believes is what he receives. As a man thinks in his heart so is he.
It is important that we guard our minds with all diligence and be carefully over the kind of thoughts and utterances we allow.
Our expectations should always be according to the Word of God.
No matter how bad, desperate or hopeless any situation, do not conclude when God had not yet concluded.
There is no situation God cannot turn around. No matter how hopeless any condition, God can still give you a change of story. But it all starts within your mind. The key to experiencing a change of story is by renewing our minds through God’s Word. Indeed when our heart is filled with the Word, we will begin to see new possibilities and have the faith to believe for greater things.
The door of destiny is only shut against those who refuse to open their mind to new possibilities through God’s Word.
are thoughts of good, not of evil to give us an expected end.
The end we expect is what we are given.
This is why we should never give in to
The truth is that our lives will eventually move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts.
This is why Joshua 1:8 tells us to meditate always on God’s Word so that we can become prosperous and have good success.
As we sow the seed of the Word into our hearts, our thoughts will align with God’s thought for us which are thoughts of good, not of evil to give us an expected end.
The end we expect is what we are given.
This is why we should never give in to self-defeating thoughts.
God’s capacity to do far exceeds our capacity of asking. Whatever we can believe, we can receive from Him. And whatever we can conceive, we can achieve by His grace.
Anything and everything is possible through our faith in God’s divine abilities.
As we remain expectant in this year of wonders, surely, as far as our eyes can see, shall be given unto us.
PRAYER:
Lord please help me to stretch the limits of my faith. I know indeed You can do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine. Please help me to keep thinking in line with Your Word so that I can experience Your wonders in Jesus Name.
