1 Timothy 1:17 ‘Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.’

ServiceMaster Brands is a known global leader in home services businesses. It was founded in 1947 by Marion E. Wade.
In 1926 Marion Wade was an insurance salesman whose meager income could only afford a sub-standard apartment for his family. The unhealthy accommodation made his three-year-old daughter to fall ill and eventually die. Haunted by the thought that his daughter had died because of his inability to adequately provide a better home, he quit his job and began his own business of providing moth-proofing services.
He also turned to God for help and became a Christian. However, in 1944, while trying to moth-proof a customer’s home, there was a chemical explosion that temporarily blinded him.
For months Marion was confined to a hospital bed. During that period, he realized that he may have suffered the accident because, even though he was a Christian, he had not actively involved God in his business.
He then rededicated himself to seek God more earnestly. Miraculously, his sight was restored and thereafter he resolved to bring God’s presence into his business and to honor God in all his endeavors.
From that period, Wade and his employees began each workday with prayers and devotions, inviting God into their affairs.
Marion Wade called his business ‘the Service of the Master’. The name was later shortened to ServiceMaster.
The positive impact of following Biblical principles made the small business to experience enormous growth and by the end of the 20th century it was reaching $7.7 billion in annual sales. Indeed through honoring God, it came to be recognized as one of the greatest companies of its kind in the world.
God said in 1 Samuel 2:30, ‘For them that honour Me I will honour, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed’.
To experience success and see the mighty works of God, we need to make sure we are giving God the honor due to Him. In our lives, homes, businesses, careers, and in everything, God must take the first place.
Mark 6: 4-6 says ‘ But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work.;
Jesus said this when He arrived at His hometown and the people didn’t give Him due honor but rather treated Him with unbelief. Because of this, the miracle power of God could not flow among them. Before coming there, Jesus was in Capernaum where He had healed all their sick and done great miracles. But when He got to His hometown their attitude of dishonor stopped the flow of power.
To see miracles, signs and wonders, God must be continually honored in our lives. The Holy Spirit only flows in a life where He is continually celebrated. The more we bless God, praise Him and honor Him, the more His Presence and power surrounds us. And it is the Presence of God that beautifies the destinies of men. The more we celebrate God, the more He elevates us to higher positions in life.
One way we honor God is by praising Him continually.
When we give God praise we are planting seed that will bring forth the fruit of His fearful acts in our lives, because God is fearful in praises.
Indeed as we engage in tireless thanksgiving, we will experience the flow of endless miracles.
Having come to the end of August today, we have every reason to praise and bless God. As we look back, we can surely see that God has been good to us.
As we bless Him for what He has done so far, we will certainly see greater blessings and wonders in the coming months.
Therefore today, we join the host of Heaven and lift up our voices to proclaim ‘..Unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.’ [1 Timothy 1:17].
PRAYER: Lord, please help me to praise You continually and conduct my affairs in a manner that will only bring glory to Your Name. As I do, I thank You for the overflow of Your blessings in my life in Jesus’ Name.
