Arthur Compton was a respected scientist who won the 1927 Nobel Prize in Physics for his scientific discoveries about light.
Arthur was the son of a Pastor, who grew up to love the Lord and desired to serve Him. At the same time he also had a great passion for science.
Already by age 12, he had a telescope with which he was able to observe the planets. And at age 16, he had written scientific articles, which were later published in the Newspapers.
As he grew older, Arthur was torn between his love of science and his desire to become a Christian missionary.
He however came to believe that he could serve God more effectively as a scientist, by making discoveries that would advance humanity.
For a time, Arthur Compton served in the Baptist church, but he ultimately pursued a career in Science and majored in Physics. He found himself drawn to experimental work and indepth scientific researches.
He would spend most of his life in deep researches that contributed immensely to the progress of science.
One of the most important scientific discoveries he made is what is known today as the ‘Compton effect.’ This discovery was a significant turning point in the understanding of the properties of light and objects.
However, he initially, faced a lot of oppositions because his discovery upset the old scientific beliefs about the nature of light.
When he first presented the results of his research at a meeting of the American Physical Society in 1923, it initiated one of the most hotly contested scientific debates ever known.
But Arthur Compton was not deterred by the controversy because he had great confidence in the depth of his research.
And with time he was proved to be correct. As a result of his discovery he won the Nobel Prize in Physics.
He also received many other awards in his lifetime and is celebrated as one of the most outstanding research scientists of his generation.

This faith from God’s Word is how we overcome the world and its challenges.
As believers, we all have the responsibility to seek from God’s Word, the truth that sets free. When we find it there shall be a reward and our expectations shall not be cut short.
No matter what you may be confonted with at any time, there’s always a way out of it.
God’s Word is the master key that opens every closed door.
Every question of life has an answer in the Word.
All we need is to pay the price of diligently seeking until we find it. The revelation from the Word will birth a revolution in our lives.
Every genuine recovery of destiny anchors on discoveries from the Word. Certainly to be informed is to be transformed.
Indeed God has given us all things that partain to life and godliness through the knowledge of His Word.
It is God’s will that we live an abundant life, with nothing missing or lacking or wanting. Jesus came, that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
However, John 10:10 says that there is a thief that comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
Due to the activities of this thief, precious things have been stolen from the lives of many people.
However, God’s Word is the light through which we can discover and recover every precious thing stolen from us.
In Luke 15:8, the Bible tells us about the woman who lost her silver coin and lit her candle and searched diligently until she found the lost coin.
The spirit of a man is the candle of the Lord. When we light up our spirit through connection to God’s Word, we will locate every precious thing missing in our lives and destinies.
Therefore today if your joy or peace is missing, you can find them by in-depth search in God’s Word . If health, favor, progress, success or any good thing is missing, you can locate them by spending quality time in the Word..
As we study the Word, the Holy Spirit illuminates our mind to know what we need to do in order to experience restoration of what was lost.
And as we obey His instructions, divine strength is imparted into us to pursue, overtake and indeed recover all.
PRAYER: Father Thank You lord for granting me the grace for continual diligent study of Your Word. And as I study please help me to make the discoveries that will lead to recovery of all I have ever lost in life in Jesus Name.
