1 Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.’
DAILY READING; John 3:1-21; 1 Chronicles 12; Zechariah2
From the time he was a young boy in Hamburg Germany, Reinhard Bonnke felt a strong call of God to the people of Africa.
In 1967, he finally arrived in Africa with his wife, Anni and their baby son.
Bonnke felt led to begin his ministry in the small landlocked Kingdom of Lesotho and so he travelled there.
However, on arrival, he learned that Lesotho was known as the ‘graveyard of missionaries’. The people were hardened to the Gospel and about half of the tribesmen still worshiped ancestors. Those who had converted to Christianity were spiritually dry and their churches were sparsely attended.
At the church Reinhard oversaw, he encountered an elder who was a drunkard and another elder who promoted ancestor worship.
Though this was a very discouraging beginning for the young preacher, Reinhard chose rather to cling to the prophecy that God would use him to bring the Gospel to Africa. And so rather than despair, he began to seek God in prayer.
In those early days in Lesotho, God showed Reinhard a vision of a “blood-washed Africa.”
This vision further gave hope to Bonnke. He realized that despite the discouraging present situation, God had a great plan for him in Africa. Reinhard took hold of this vision and began to speak it, live it and wage spiritual warfare through prayer. He studied the Word and spent days and nights in prayers and fasting.
In Lesotho, God trained Bonnke in faith and built in him spiritual strength and tenacity.
Eventually, through his ministry, a great spiritual change began to take place in the lives of the people of Lesotho.
1974 saw the birth of his evangelistic organization, ‘Christ for all Nations’.
Through this ministry, God’s Word was eventually fulfilled in Bonnke’s life as millions of people in Africa came to Christ and also many across the world were greatly impacted by the power of God.
To see prophecies fulfilled, we must engage in strategic spiritual battles. Every prophetic fulfillment comes at the expense of Spiritual warfare.
Prophecies are Spiritual open doors but there are often many adversaries to contend with to see them fulfilled.
Certainly, to see the manifestations of signs and wonders, we must be prepared to make prayer investments.
We will only possess what we are willing to pursue.
When you receive a vision from God, you do not go to sleep with it, you must war with the prophecy until you see the fulfillment.
It is the spiritually violent that take it by force.
People who succeed never give up no matter how discouraging any situation they face, rather they go to war in prayers.
Indeed success in life and ministry is not an issue of chance, but of choice. It is not a thing you wait for; it is a thing you work at.
Therefore this year, let us be willing to fight on our knees and take possession of the wonder agenda God has for us. Let us determine to appropriate all that redemption has made available for us in this season.
Jesus has shed His Blood to give us a positive change of story. He has made every spiritual provision for us to enjoy a victorious life.
Therefore, no matter any discouraging situation you may face today, understand that ultimately, by the Blood, you are destined to win.
No one can stop you as a covenant child of God from succeeding. When you strongly connect to God and His power, nothing can stand in the way of your advancement.
Let us therefore take the spiritual responsibility to maintain a strong connection to God. Let us invest quality time in prayer, worship, fasting, study of the Word and giving sacrificially to the promotion of God’s kingdom.
As we draw close to God, He will draw close to us. And certainly, when God is for us, nothing and no one can be against us.
PRAYER;
Father, I thank You for the speedy fulfillment of Your wonder agenda for me this year. By the power in the Blood of Jesus every yoke of stagnancy is broken off my life and I am experiencing a positive change of story in all my endeavors in Jesus Name.
