Frederick Brotherton Meyer, better known as F. B. Meyer, was a Baptist pastor, teacher, and evangelist who had an impactful ministry that extended to several countries.
He wrote over 75 books and was a lifelong friend of the famous American evangelist, Dwight L. Moody.
F. B. Meyer was involved in inner city mission work and was also known as a crusader against immorality who brought about the closing of hundreds of brothels.
In 1878, he initiated the building of Melbourne Hall, which became a place of pilgrimage and a center of evangelical and missionary influence. Though F. B. Meyer started as an unknown preacher, through dedication to his calling, he eventually became globally recognized and celebrated.
Dr. Meyer was once approached by a young preacher who asked how he could become like him and also gain such influence and fame.
Dr. Meyer responded, “Don’t waste your time waiting and longing for large opportunities that may never come. But faithfully handle the little things that are always claiming your attention.”

Truly, our faithfulness in handling little opportunities today will determine the level of breakthroughs we can enjoy tomorrow.
When we read the biographies of great men and women, we often find that most of them started from humble beginnings, before they became great.
This agrees with the Word of Jesus in Matthew 13:31–32, which describe the Kingdom of Heaven as a grain of mustard seed that gradually grows into a great tree.
In God’s kingdom, those who will become great often pass through an unseen season of preparations where they are proven faithful.
God rewards faithfulness. Proverbs 28:20 tells us that the faithful shall abound with blessings.
What you do with the little opportunities you have now will open the door of promotions to your next level. So don’t despise your days of small beginnings.
God has great plans for your life, but it is how well you handle today’s placement that will determine tomorrow’s blessing. We therefore need wisdom to maximize our days, to utilize every opportunity, and put in our best wherever we are currently.
Your position today may seem ordinary, but as you continue to serve faithfully, it is only a matter of time before you break forth to extraordinary heights and ascend the glorious throne God ordained for you.

PRAYER:
Father please open my eyes to see the opportunities that abound around me. Please enable me to be faithful where I am now so that I can qualify for the glorious heights You have destined for me in Jesus’ Name.

After being ordained a pastor in 1942, Velmer James Gardner burned with the desire to see mighty manifestations of God’s power in his ministry.
He was deeply impressed by how, at the time, God was using older ministers such as Smith Wigglesworth and Dr. Charles Price. When Velmer asked God why he wasn’t seeing the same great anointing in his own ministry, God told him “You can if you’ll pay the price.”
Velmer then determined to pay the price and he began to fast and pray for hours each day to see the presence of God become a reality in his life.
However, despite his fervent prayers, there still seemed to be no great miracles in his ministry. Those were difficult days for him as the devil tried hard to discourage him from continuing to pray.
As Velmer continued to seek God, he finally began to see the healing revival he had been praying so long for.
In 1948, he went to Oregon to hold services for another Pastor, and the meetings that started small, quickly grew as healings and miracles began to occur.
From then on great manifestations of power began to flow in Velmer Gardner’s ministry. He too began to walk in great anointing and eventually became one of the notable revivalists and prominent evangelists of the Voice of Healing revival that swept through America in the 1950s.

We must discipline ourselves to be spiritually persistent until we see the manifestation of God’s promises.
David was still a teenager when Prophet Samuel anointed him to be king over Israel in 1 Samuel 16. Before David could see the manifestation of his kingship he passed through thirteen difficult years where king Saul did everything to destroy him. But eventually king Saul was killed in a battle and David ascended the throne in fulfillment of God’s Word concerning him.
We must stand in faith until we see the manifestations we desire. We must be conscious that we are in a warfare, with an enemy who fights hard to try to discourage us from seeing our desired miracles, visions and dreams. One of the strategies he uses is to try to wear you out and get you to give up when you are closest to your miracle. Some times, the enemy tries to cause breakdowns when you are about to experience your breakthroughs. But no matter how hard the trials, never give up easily, be determined to travail in prayers until you prevail. Hebrews 6;12 encourages us not to allow our hearts to grow dull or lose our enthusiasm.
Though life’s race may be marked with hurdles of challenges and discouragements, through Christ, you are destined to triumph always.
Whatever miracle you are believing God to do in your life today, it is possible. Just locate His promise in the Scriptures and ensure you fulfill the conditions. Thereafter, stand in faith and continue to give glory to God for the manifestation of His Word.
Through persistence you will surely wear down every resistance and break forth to the glorious manifestations of the miracles, signs and wonders you have been seeking for.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace and strength to keep pressing forward in this season. As I refuse to give up, surely, by Your grace I shall soon see mighty manifestations of Your miracles in my life in Jesus Name.

In his day, Charles Betts Galloway was regarded as “the best-known and most influential personality in the Methodist world.” He was a celebrated bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in America.
Yet, his life story is a reflection of God’s amazing grace.
Charles Betts Galloway was born in 1849 to a father who was a successful doctor. As a young boy, Charles wanted to drop out of school and become a prizefighter. When his father objected to his plans, Charles ran away from home. He stowed away on a train, went to another town, and joined a carnival.
After several months, he wanted to move on to another town and tried to stow away on another train. But as he jumped into an open boxcar in the moving train, he had no proper grip to haul himself up, and his body began sliding down to fall out of the train. If he slipped out, he would either fall beneath the train’s wheels or plummet down a nearby steep canyon to his death.
Terrified at his predicament, he closed his eyes and cried out to God to save him. Only seconds away from falling to death, he opened his eyes and saw a man standing inside the train who quickly reached down and pulled him up into the speeding boxcar.
Charles lay face down for several seconds, trying to catch his breath. When he looked up to thank the man, he saw no one. The man had vanished. He could not find the man anywhere. Shivering with shock, Charles repented of his rebellion and decided to go back home. When he got home and told his parents about the man on the train, they concluded it must have been an angel.
Charles returned to school and later became a licensed preacher who greatly impacted many lives.

God indeed does answer the cry of those who call upon Him in distress.
God is always our way-maker and barrier-breaker, even in the midst of situations that seem impossible.
Despite the raging storm, He works behind the scenes to create a way to escape for us.
Isaiah 43:2 makes it clear that when we pass through the water and the fire, we are never alone.
In the seemingly negative circumstances, God not only delivers us but works out His higher purpose in our lives.
For all the goodness and mercies of God, we ought to always be grateful. His praise should continually be on our lips. Indeed, if we can think, we can thank.
Nothing should hinder the flow of our praise to God.. No matter what challenge we may face, there’s always a reason for us to be grateful.
Today, let us take time to deliberately praise God for all His blessings, known and unknown. As we do so, certainly, God will do greater things for us; He will cause us to experience, higher levels of breakthroughs, exploits, promotions and exceptional blessings..

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for always being there for me and answering when I call upon You.
I know that even right now, You are working all things together for my good in Jesus Name.

Alexander the Great began his reign in 336 B.C. after his father who was the king of Macedonia was assassinated by a bodyguard. Though only 20 years old, Alexander immediately claimed the throne and killed his rivals before they could challenge his sovereignty.
After securing the throne and getting all of Greece under his control, Alexander turned east to conquer more of the civilized world. He moved swiftly using his military genius to win battle after battle conquering many peoples and rapidly expanding the Greek empire.
Alexander was charismatic, ruthless, brilliant and power hungry. By the time he was 32 years old, Alexander had conquered many regions and accumulated one of the largest empires in history.
He was poised on the edge of another invasion when he fell ill around 323 B.C.
It was said he searched desperately for a legendary river that was supposed to heal all sicknesses, yet he could not find a cure. He eventually died after days of excruciating suffering.

It is noteworthy, that Alexander the great widely conquered the ancient world, but yet could not conquer disease. After surviving fierce battles, the young warrior succumbed to the hands of sickness.
Like Alexander, there have been many great, wealthy and influential men whose lives were snuffed out in their prime due to diseases.
As believers in Christ, our case is different; we have a heritage of both divine wealth and divine health. Jesus paid a great price at Calvary to ensure that we live abundant, healthy and triumphant lives.
But it takes spiritual understanding to live in the reality of the victory Christ has won for us.
God has sent His Word to heal us and deliver us from destructions, but people perish due to lack of knowledge.
As a child of God, you must understand that divine healing is your portion in Christ.
Isaiah 53:5 says that you are healed by the stripes of Jesus. The circumstances and diagnoses notwithstanding, God’s Word says you have already been healed!
Redemption has re-positioned us for eternal victory over every afflictions of life. Let us today seek the key of knowledge through study of God’s Word, so that we can access our redemptive heritage of divine health, supernatural wealth, abundant blessings and breaking forth on every side.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive today the grace for in-depth study of Scriptures so that I can gain the faith I need to access the full benefits of the victory Christ has won for me in Jesus Name.

Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany in 1933 and he would rule as a dictator until his death by suicide in April 1945.
Before coming to power Hitler had published a political manifesto titled ‘Mein Kampf’ or My Struggle’. In this book, he talked about how he wanted to get rid of all Jews, but people didn’t think he was serious.
As soon as Hitler came to power, he began subjecting German Jews to repressive policies.
On November 9–10, 1938, with Hitler’s support, Nazi Party officials set off a series of violent pogroms against Jews in Germany and Austria. This event came to be known as the “Night of Broken Glass.”
That night, Nazis attacked Jews in Germany and burned their synagogues, homes, schools, and businesses. In the aftermath of the “Night of Broken Glass,” some 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to Nazi concentration camps.
Things got worse as Hitler went on to implement his so-called “final solution” to the “Jewish problem’. He eventually carried out the systematic murder of about 6 million European Jews in the Holocaust. Hitler’s intention was to totally wipe out every memory of the Jews. But, though he had the army, manpower, and weapons to destroy their homes, businesses, and even their lives, one thing he lacked was the power to destroy the prophecy over their lives. God’s promises of deliverance and restoration of the Jews eventually came to pass with the birth of the modern state of Israel in 1948, which today has grown to become one of the strongest nations on earth.

Just as Hitler’s hatred could not stop God’s promise and prophecy over the Jews, circumstances cannot stop you from arriving at your God-appointed destiny!
Rather, whatever the enemy tries to use to stop you will end up pushing you forward.
When Pharaoh tried to destroy the children of Israel through oppression, the more he persecuted them, the more they multiplied.
God is the one who decides destinies. Your destiny is in His hands, not in the hands of any man. As long as you stay connected to God’s covenant and walk in His ways, you will surely see His promises fulfilled.
This is why we must be diligent to grow our faith through consistent study of God’s Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Faith is the key to your victory over the world and its challenges.
When you abide in faith, no matter how much anyone tries to put you down, you will only keep rising higher.
By God’s grace, in this season, nothing will hinder your breaking forth on every side in your health, business, career, family, etc. Because you are born of God, you are certainly destined to always overcome.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to stand strong despite the fierce winds of oppositions. I thank You that despite situations that try to push me down, I will always rise stronger and better in Jesus Name..

James Lewis Kraft was an American Christian businessman and inventor who was the first to patent processed cheese.
In 1903, he began working as a partner in the Shefford Cheese Company in new York.. But one day, while he was away on a business trip to Chicago, his partners betrayed him by abruptly dissolving their partnership agreement. Left without financial support, James found himself almost stranded. He then used his remaining $65 to rent a horse and wagon and established his own business of buying cheese wholesale and selling it to local grocers.
James was a fervent Christian and a man of prayer. He recognized God as the senior partner in his new business. He realized that to succeed, he needed to ‘seek first the kingdom of God’ (Matthew 6:33). So he began giving 25 percent of his personal profits to the Lord in his offerings.
Soon he began to receive divine revelations on how to run his business, which gave him an edge over other competitors. A major breakthrough came in 1917, when the U.S. government gave him a contract to supply cheese to feed the U.S. armed forces. His company, Kraft Foods Inc., would eventually become the largest cheese company in the world. It was a multinational confectionery, food, and beverage conglomerate that marketed many brands in more than 170 countries.

The story of James Kraft shows that people may betray you or maltreat you, and difficulties may confront you, but as long as you stay dedicated to serving God, you will surely rise above the challenges and become distinguished in life.
Seeking God’s kingdom first is the master key to true success. Our depth of commitment to God determines our height of accomplishment in life.

2 Chronicles 26 tells the story of King Uzziah, who started reigning when he was only 16 years old. There were so many odds against him, but as long as he sought the Lord, God prospered him.

Through divine help, this teenage king went forth, had victories in battles, and expanded greatly.
To experience breakthroughs and break forth to enviable heights, we must make a definite choice to serve God and be dedicated to His cause.
Truly, you cannot seek God first and come last. Therefore, if you have been experiencing stagnation in any area, perhaps you need a change of perspective. If you decide today to let God take first place in your endeavors and give Him the glory in all things, He will certainly change your story. When you give God your best, He’ll take care of the rest.
In Genesis 28:20–22, when Jacob covenanted to serve God with his life and income, God greatly blessed and distinguished him in his generation.
God is a reward for those who diligently seek Him. As we dedicatedly pursue Him and seek first the promotion of His kingdom, surely, everything else shall be added unto us.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to tirelessly pursue You and the advancement of Your kingdom. As I seek You first, I thank You for divine additions and exceptional breakthroughs in my life in Jesus’ Name.

When Adolf Hitler sought to annihilate all Jews globally in the holocaust, the Jews in Denmark experienced unexpected help from strange quarters. Inexplicably, one of the high ranking German officers, turned around to help them. George Ferdinand Duckwitz was a German diplomat who worked for Hitler, but became disillusioned as Hitler’s evil intentions came to light. When he heard of the deportation of Jews to the death camps, Duckwitz quickly moved into action. On September 22, 1943, he flew to Sweden where he met with the Swedish President and asked for his help to accommodate the fleeing Jews from Denmark. The president gave him assurance of his help.
Duckwitz then organized a rescue operation, in which thousands of Jews moved to Sweden aboard hundreds of small boats in one of the most heroic rescues of the Holocaust.
As a result, none of the Jews from Denmark were arrested by Hitler’s army to be sent to the death camps, where many had perished.
Duckwitz was the highest-ranking German officer to be involved directly in the rescue of Jews on this scale. After the war, his heroic actions were made known and on 21st March 1971 the Israeli government gave him one of their highest awards of ‘Righteous Among the Nations’ and included him in the Yad Vashem memorial.

There is no limit to the ways and means through which God can help you. He can raise help for you from strange quarters. God can use even your enemies to favor you.
It is through God’s grace, that we are able to enjoy inexplicable breakthroughs and strange favors.
To see the greater flow of grace in our lives, we must be willing to maintain a fervent prayer life, because the prayer altar is the fountain of grace.. We must also engage in in-depth study of God’s Word because according to 2 Peter 1:2, grace multiplies by knowledge. Indeed everything great is rooted in grace.
By the grace of God at work in your life, you shall surely break forth on every side this year. Everything that used to be a set-back or hindrance is about to turn around for your good.
Help will arise for you from the least expected quarters, and people you don’t even know will be used by God to bless you. God will appoint for you midwives to help you birth your dream and introduce you to new levels of exploits and accomplishments.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You because I know that even right now You are at work to perfect all that concerns me. Thank You Lord for causing all things to work together for my good in Jesus Name.

In 1565, the Islamic army of the Ottoman Empire began marching to conquer Rome and other parts of Europe. At that time the Ottoman army was the largest in Europe.
Crucial to their plan was to capture the island of Malta, because of its strategic position near the center of the Mediterranean sea. From there it would be easy for them to conquer other surrounding European countries.
Many Christians feared this invasion would mark the end of Christianity in Europe. However as the Ottoman army marched, a group of Christian crusaders in Malta known as the ‘Knights of Malta’ prepared to fight and resist them. But it was like a David and Goliath situation; the knights were only about 8000 men while the Ottoman army, led by the feared Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, had over 40,000 soldiers.
The great Ottoman army arrived at Malta, expecting an easy victory, but the Knights of Malta fought bravely to resist them. This small band of Knights of Malta, fuelled by the passion to defend the Christian faith surprisingly killed many of the Ottoman soldiers.
After a long siege on the city, known in history as “the Great Siege”, the Ottoman army finally conceded defeat and left the area. After this humiliating defeat, the Ottomans made no further significant military advances into Europe and a few years later Sultan Suleiman died. The victory of the Knights of Malta became one of the most celebrated events of the sixteenth century. Obviously, God had helped the grossly outnumbered knights of Malta to overcome their stronger enemies.

Often, God uses battles that seem stronger than us to display His glory in our lives. This was what happened in Exodus 14 when the Israelites were trapped between Pharaoh and the red sea.
In Exodus 14:13-14 Moses told them ‘Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
The truth is that every great destiny will be confronted with great battles. But those times when all the odds seem stacked against you, always remember that Jehovah is a man of war! He has never lost a battle, and He will never lose any.  When we stand in faith and hold our peace, He fights our battles for us.
In the case of the nation of Judah, when they were besieged by three enemy nations, God showed them how to enter their rest and allow Him to fight for them. In II Chronicles 20: 17 God told them to ‘set’ themselves to praise Him and He would take over their battle.
When any battle looks stronger than your capacity, then it is time to switch to praise. If you’re facing any situation, that has defied solutions and you don’t know what to do, then it is time to engage the weapon of praise.. Enter your rest and let God handle every opposition for you. Praise provokes God’s divine visitation and intervention. When you make praising God your priority,  He will cause you to begin to truly break forth on every side.
Today, as we passionately offer God our highest praises, surely, He will cause us to ride upon our high places.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You today for the grace to hold my peace, and give You worthy praise while You fight my battles. Thank You, Lord for indeed perfecting all that concerns me in Jesus Name.

John Hillery Osteen was founder of the Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas.
Interestingly, John almost didn’t live to see his great ministry because of an incident that happened early in his life.
John Osteen was born in Paris, Texas in 1921, to parents who were cotton farmers and they lived on the farm. When John was a little toddler, one night he wandered away while everyone was occupied. Barely able to walk, he soon fell into an open fire. This baby could easily have burned to death but just at that moment someone quickly got to him and pulled him out of the fire. Another 15 seconds and John would have lost his life, but God’s grace and mercy stopped the devil’s attempt to truncate his destiny.
John survived to later become a great minister of the Gospel. He founded Lakewood Church in 1959 in Houston, Texas, and it eventually grew to a congregation of about 15,000 members.
He hosted the weekly John Osteen television program for 16 years, reaching millions in the U.S. and in many other countries with his preaching.
After his death on January 23, 1999, his youngest son Joel Osteen became the pastor, who has expanded the ministry to now a congregation of over 52,000 and reaches millions of people around the world by television and online.

Many of us have been in fiery situations, that could have spelled the end of us, but God has always intervened just in the nick of time to pluck us out. Truly, we are all products of God’s mercy. None of us would be here today, if the Lord has not been on our side.
David said, “By this I know the Lord is on my side, He has not let my enemies triumph over me” (Psalm 41:11).
Indeed, God has not allowed the enemy to triumph over us. Despite all the trials and tribulations, God has preserved us.
Some of us have been through severe seasons of trauma that could have destroyed us. Yet, today we don’t even look at all like what we have been through. God has so delivered us, that just like the Hebrew boys, there is not even the smell of smoke around us.
While it may be easy to worry or complain about current difficulties , let us never forget the grace of God that has brought us thus far. For this we should continually praise and celebrate our faithful God!
Surely, by His grace , we will always escape every fiery trial and keep soaring to greater dimensions of the colorful future God has preordained for us

PRAYER: Father please help me to always maintain a lifestyle of gratitude in appreciation for all Your goodness. Indeed You have been faithful to me and for this, I praise and bless You forever in Jesus Name.

Christina Onassis was the only daughter of Aristotle Onassis, the Greek shipping magnate who amassed the world’s largest privately-owned shipping fleet.
After her father’s death in 1975, Christina became the heiress to the Onassis family fortune. However, despite all her inherited wealth, Christina Onassis lived a short and sad life. She was dubbed the “poor little rich girl” because she was always so unhappy. In 1973, her only sibling, Alexander had died in a plane crash and her mother died a year after.
As the only surviving member of her immediate family, Christina inherited all the wealth. She lived in absolute luxury and indulgence, hoping to find happiness. She occasionally spent $30,000 to send a private jet from Argentina to America to buy her Diet Cokes. When friends said they were too busy to spend time with her, Christina would give them cash, as much as $30,000 a month, to clear their schedules so they could come and stay with her.
Yet all the money could not buy her happiness. In her short life, she married and divorced four times and struggled with eating disorders and weight problems.
By age 30 she was diagnosed with clinical depression and by age 38 she died in Argentina on November 19, 1988.. Her death was due to a heart attack brought on by years of drug abuse.

Many people think that having enough money will make them happy, but the truth is that you can have all the money and indulge in all your heart’s desires, and still not be fulfilled.
You can climb to the top of the corporate ladder, own homes on multiple continents, and have a bank account bursting at the seams, but still be depressed.
Therefore as we seek breakthroughs and enduring success, we must always remember that true peace and joy only comes from walking in communion with God.
When you invest your life in seeking God and living for His glory, His presence will continually fill your life with joy and peace. As His blessings overflow into your life, they will make you rich without adding sorrow with it. [Proverbs 10:22].
Those who struggle and get rich by following the way of the world only end up with unfulfilment and loss of true joy.
Without Christ holding us up, it is difficult to bear the pain that accompanies the struggles of this life. The joy of the Lord is what gives us the strength and power to overcome the world.
Many people today are trying to shoulder their struggles alone and they are ending up depressed and oppressed.
But through abiding in God’s presence, we operate from the place of fullness of joy, where we are strengthened to overcome the trials and tribulations in the world.
While we seek to succeed, let us always place God first in all our endeavors. Prioritizing God’s presence in our lives will make us triumphant, victorious, filled with joy and truly breaking forth on every side..

PRAYER
Lord, please help me to make You my greatest priority in life. While I work towards success, let nothing ever distract me from seeking first Your kingdom above all else in Jesus Name.
