DAILY READING – – Matthew 27:1-31; Deuteronomy 5-6; Job 6

The Industrial Revolution was a period of major changes in the way products are made. It took place more than 200 years ago and greatly affected the way people lived as well as the way they worked. England was the first country in which these changes took place. However, the Industrial Revolution soon spread to other European countries, the United States, and Japan.
The Industrial Revolution brought major changes that continues to affect civilization today. Because of the Industrial Revolution that happened in England in the 1760s today we can enjoy living in a civilized world. All the healthcare, transportation and technology we have today, was due to the Industrial Revolution.
Indeed the revolution changed the world, and opened up new chapters of civilization. However, the industrial Revolution was made possible because of the reformation.
The reformation was a period in history in which Christians were required to make drastic changes and sacrifices in their ways of living. During the reformation a lot of excesses in the church were dealt with. The result of these sacrifices shaped major features of Western culture that we see today, including freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, the dignity of the individual, and political democracy.
From the reformation, a new generation of believers emerged who were fervent in spirit and diligent in their work. The new work ethic then led to the development of capitalism, which eventually helped to usher in the industrial revolution. The Protestant Reformation fundamentally shaped the history of the centuries following it up until the present time.

Indeed a right spiritual positioning will often provoke a positive change of story. When you position yourself rightly, God brings about a revolution in your life that will catapult you from where you used to be to where you ought to be.
In 1 Kings 18:30-39, before the fire could fall, Elijah had to rebuild the broken down altar of God. But after rebuilding it and offering sacrifices on it, the fire of God fell from Heaven and there was a revolution in the land.
There is always something to do to experience the breakthrough or revolution we desire to see in our lives. Revolution refers to drastic change. When God took Joseph from prison to the palace, it was a revolution as his story suddenly changed. Also when God took David from being a shepherd boy to become the king of Israel, his life was revolutionized. We can experience such drastic positive changes when we are willing to pay the required spiritual price. For us to experience a revolution, we need to move up higher in our prayers, study, fasting, and sacrificial giving.
Indeed we need to ask the Lord to show us in which area we need to repair any broken down altar and make the sacrifices that will usher in our needed revolution. Indeed whatever may be withholding breakthroughs and progress we need, must be dealt with in our lives.
A sacrifice could mean laying down our Isaac, or dealing with the Achans in our camp. But when we make the necessary sacrifices, we will see the positive changes and miracles we desire. Making the sacrifices may not be easy, but the harvests will always be worth it. Indeed they that sow in tears will reap in joy.

Psalm 126:6 says ‘He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.’

We all have areas in our lives where we need to make changes or improvements. . And today as we take the decision to make the required sacrifices as revealed to us by God, the Heavens will indeed be opened up to us. Certainly, as we go forth bearing precious seed weeping, we will doubtless, definitely, come back again, rejoicing, bearing our sheaves with us.

PRAYER: Lord, please show me what I need to lay down in sacrifice. No matter how precious the seed, please grant me the grace for obedience, so that I can experience my supernatural change of story in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; Matthew 26:47-75; Deuteronomy 3-4; Job 5

Charles Parham was Founder of the Apostolic Faith Movement and a pioneer of Pentecostalism in America.
He began serving God early in life and by the age of 15 years he was already holding evangelistic services.
After he got married on December 31, 1896, his wife joined him in the ministry and the young couple started traveling to different towns to preach the Gospel.
September of 1897 saw the birth of their first son, but their joy was short-lived when the baby fell ill with heart disease. No amount of medicine seemed to work as he grew weaker. Doctors couldn’t diagnose the baby’s sickness, there seemed to be no cure for it and it appeared the baby was going to die. To worsen matters Charles Parham himself also fell sick.
During this period, Parham was called to pray for another man who was ill. So in his own weakened state, he left for the man’s home. While he was praying for the man, the Scripture, “Physician, heal thyself,” exploded inside of Parham. At that moment the power of God came upon Parham and he became healed instantly.
From the man’s home, Parham eagerly rushed back to his own home and prayed for his sick baby. The fever also left the baby’s body, and he became healed.
These miracles proved to Parham God’s faithfulness in keeping him healthy as long as he was committed to ministering to the people. Charles Parham indeed served God unrelentingly and his ministry contributed to over two million conversions, and thousands of healings.

When Charles Parham ignored his own condition to pray for another person, God released upon him divine healing. When we serve God by being a blessing to others, God ensures we become partakers of the blessings. Indeed what you make happen for others God will make happen for you.
While Job was facing great difficulties, he looked away from his situation and prayed for his friends. The result was that his own prayers were answered; his captivity was turned and his health was restored.
It is God’s will that we bear each other’s burden by looking beyond our own needs to be a blessing to others.
There are people we know who are suffering all manner of sickness, troubles, etc. Taking few minutes to sow the seed of prayer in their lives can make all the difference for them.
There are unbelievers around us who are on their way to hell. We can make a huge difference in their eternal destiny by preaching to them and praying for their salvation. God uses our prayers to work miracles and send angels on assignment. .
When Peter was in prison, it was the ceaseless prayer of the saints that activated the angelic activity that brought him out. As we pray for others, chains that are holding them bound begins to fall off; bondages of fear, depression, addiction etc begins to depart from their lives.
Let it therefore, be our mission to stand in the gap for others. Though people may not know you are praying for them and you may not receive credit, but you can be assured that God who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Like Job, as you pray for others, you’re going to see every captivity turned, your healing will come and your prayers will be answered.
Therefore today, by the Blood of Jesus, let us receive the grace for sowing good seeds into the lives of others. By the Blood of Jesus may every selfishness and self-centeredness be destroyed in us. And as we sow good seeds, surely we shall reap a harvest of manifold blessings in return in Jesus Name.

PRAYER;
Father, by the Blood of Jesus, I receive the grace today to begin sowing good seeds into the lives of people around me. As I do, I thank You Lord for causing me to reap an amazing harvest of blessings in Jesus Name.

Dr. David Yonggi Cho founded Yoido Full Gospel Church in South Korea which grew to become the world’s largest Church.
In 1992 Dr Yonggi Cho went to Eastern Russia to preach the Gospel. It was a very dangerous time because the nation was in a great turbulence and people were being killed.
The Communists, who didn’t believe in God, threatened to assassinate Dr David Yonggi Cho for coming to preach in Russia. The Russian government had to put up a bullet-proof glass to shield Dr David Yonggi Cho as he preached because if he was killed, it would become a big diplomatic problem between his country South Korea and Russia.
One evening, Dr David Yonggi Cho was to preach in a stadium. As he was about to leave the hotel, he heard the voice of the enemy clearly warn him not to go to the meeting because he would be killed that night. However, as he prayed for divine direction, Dr. Cho heard the voice of the Spirit say to his heart “Go to the meeting. You will have great miracles in the service tonight.”
Dr. Cho chose to believe God’s voice and went ahead to the stadium.
The communist gang came to the meeting that night, telling people not to believe Dr. Cho’s message. However God proved His Word and there were diverse healings and miracles. To crown it, a very wealthy and influential man in Russia, who had been paralysed for 7 years, got healed that night.
The 35,000 people in attendance who were hearing and seeing the power of the Gospel for the first time all gave their lives to Christ. And having seen the mighty manifestation of God’s power, the people turned against the communists and chased them away from the stadium.
The Communists completely failed in their plans against Dr. Cho. God protected him and after completing his preaching assignment in Russia, he returned safely back to his own country.

We must not let anything stop us from proclaiming the good news of God’s kingdom. When our focus is the promotion of God’s kingdom, He will surely take care of us and perfect all that concerns us.
When the focus of your life is to bring glory to God and advance His kingdom, God will fight your battles. God will go ahead of you to destroy the things trying to hinder you. He will break the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron assunder.
God will cause such amazing miracles around your life that will permanently shut up your detractors.

God indeed knows how to fight for His own. He will be committed to your deliverance when you’re committed to promoting His kingdom. It doesn’t matter who gathers against you, God will cause them to fall for your sake. All their evil plots and plans will come to naught. Only keep your focus on serving God and promoting His kingdom. Surely when you make the Lord your refuge, no evil shall befall you and no plague can come near your dwelling place.

As the year draws to a close, perhaps there are things that may seem to be threatening your finances, health, family, relationships, etc.
Why not roll over those cares to the Lord and focus rather on proclaing His Kingdom. God promises that when we seek Him first, He will take care of everything else.
Therefore, don’t listen to any voice of fear trying to stop you from moving forward in God’s destiny for you. As you keep your focus on God, He will silence oppositions and release the Abundance of His blessings towards you.

Indeed when you serve God, He shall bless your bread, and water; He will take sickness away from your midst, you shall not cast your young, nor be barren and the number of your days He will fulfill [Exodus 23:25–26]

PRAYER: Father I thank You for granting me the grace to always keep my focus on serving You and promoting Your Kingdom. Surely as I seek Your kingdom first, everything else shall be added unto me in Jesus Name. .

DAILY READING – Matthew 26:1-25; Numbers 35-36; Job 3

It is interesting to note that the largest African-American business in America was established by a Sunday school teacher. David Steward is a devoted Christian who credits his success to faith in God. He is the founder of World Wide Technology and is one of the only five black billionaires in America,.
David grew up in a Christian home where he saw his parents practice the principle of giving. Though his family had few material possessions, David believes he inherited considerable wealth from his parents because they taught him the important lesson of seed sowing. David once saw his mother give her last dollar to the church. These principles of sowing and reaping would stay with him for his entire life.
After graduating from college, he worked for Fedex, becoming their top salesperson. Despite his successful career, David desired to start his own business. However, when he eventually set out on his own, he fell flat on his face and found himself $3.5 million in debt.
With the seemingly insurmountable challenge, David turned to the Lord for help. Remembering the lessons of seed sowing he had learned from his parents, he began sowing despite his needs, in the expectation of his desired harvest. God did indeed help him and his business was eventually turned around to become an economic powerhouse.
The business went from earning $8 million in 1992, to $135 million in 1997 and then $400 million in 1999 to eventually become the billion dollar company it is today. Through the practice of seed sowing David Steward, rose from failure to success.
His basic business philosophy is that making money to be your goal will lead to poverty, but focusing on using it to serve God and help humanity will lead to prosperity. David Steward is the author of ‘Doing Business by the Good Book: 52 Lessons on Success Straight from the Bible’

The lesson we can learn from David Stewards story is that no matter how low anyone falls, he can rise up again with the help of the Lord. No matter how great the odds, you can still press forward and win.

A sure way of experiencing a financial turnaround is by sowing our seeds even in the times of need.
Understandably, it is tough to sow when you are in need. This is a time when the devil tries to trick Christians into thinking they can’t afford to sow because they don’t have enough.
Especially in these troubled and perilous times, the tendency in the world is for people to hoard financially, not knowing what the future holds. However, we serve the God who holds tomorrow and He has asked us “to take no thought for tomorrow” but rather we should seek His kingdom first and then all else will be added unto us.
Certainly when we follow God’s principle of seed time and harvest, our future will be guaranteed.
Refusing to sow because of our needs will only be to our detriment because Genesis 8:22 promises that ‘while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will not cease.’
We can’t reap if we don’t sow. The seed we sow is what becomes multiplied into our harvest.

Luke 6:38 says ‘Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again’
That means the level of your sowing will determine the level of your reaping.
2 Corinthians 9:6 says, ‘But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully’

Tightness in your finances is not the time to pull back from sowing into God’s kingdom. Rather that is when to sow the sacrificial seeds that will guarantee you a turnaround because the altar of sacrifice is the altar of turnaround.
Let us continually sow in faith towards the spread of the Gospel. Don’t observe the winds, and don’t regard the clouds, rather fix your focus on God’s promises.. No matter what is going on in the world, as we sow in faith, surely, we will continue to reap a bountiful harvest.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to keep sowing towards the advancement of Your kingdom. Despite the challenges of the past months, I know in this crowning month of December I shall indeed reap bountiful harvests in Jesus Name. .

General William booth was the founder of the Salvation army. The Salvation Army is a Christian international charitable organization that has a worldwide membership of over 1.7 million people. It has a mission to bring salvation to the poor, destitute, and hungry by meeting both their physical and spiritual needs. It is present in 131 countries around the world.

During William Booth’s childhood, his father could not afford his school fees and so at 13 years old, William was apprenticed to a pawnbroker.
Two years into his apprenticeship Booth became converted. He then began to prepare himself to be a preacher by reading extensively and trained himself in writing and in speech. He soon became a Methodist local preacher and began evangelizing to the poor in Nottingham and doing open-air evangelizing in the streets.
In 1851, Booth joined the Methodist Reform Church and on his 23rd birthday became a full-time preacher in the Church. However, though he became a prominent Methodist evangelist, he was unhappy that the denomination did not give him the freedom to do evangelistic campaigns. After his request to be freed for evangelism full-time was refused, Booth resigned from his position and became an independent evangelist. All that mattered to William Booth was obeying God and he was willing to lay down everything to follow Christ.
In 1865 he founded the Salvation Army, which is a Christian movement with a quasi-military structure. The army spread from London, England, to many parts of the world. Today, it is known for being one of the largest distributors of humanitarian aid. The organization has had amazing positive impact around the world and recently William Booth was named among the 100 Greatest Britons in history. .

Indeed William Booth gave his all to God and God worked through him to achieve great success in the Salvation Army.
To be able to impact the world around us, we must be willing to obey God at all costs and let Him be Lord of our entire lives. When the apostles encountered Jesus, they forsook all and followed Him. When Paul encountered Him, he counted all things dung, that he may win Christ.
However, the ability to lay it all down comes from being deeply impacted by God’s Word. When we spend time in fellowship with God through His Word, we will be influenced to willing lay down everything to follow Christ.
If today, you are struggling with obeying God in certain areas, it is only because you have not yet been fully impacted by God’s Word. When you spend quality time meditating in the Word daily, the light of God will so flood your life that nothing else would matter but obeying God’s will.
Through meditation, the Word goes into our hearts and dispels every hardness of heart and infuses us with the desire and willingness to obey God. This is how God takes us over and begins to control us.
Indeed when you let God have all of you, He will work through you to accomplish miracles, signs and wonders. This is how men like William Booth made great impacts in their generation. Indeed when Christ fully takes over our lives, He will begin to do mighty works through us. This is how our lives will make great impact on earth, and through our ministry men and women will be drawn into God’s kingdom.

PRAYER
Lord, please help me to return to the place of sitting at Your feet, learning from Your Word until You fully take me over. Indeed through Your power I shall go forth and do exploits that will draw men and women into Your kingdom, in Jesus Name. .

James O. Fraser was the pioneer missionary to the Lisu people in China. He was born in London and by the time he was 20 years, he enjoyed a promising future and became an honors student in engineering.
But his life changed drastically when a fellow student gave him a small booklet that stated that more than half the people in the world had not yet heard the gospel.
James Fraser was so touched that he turned his back on his lucrative career in engineering. He also gave up the possibility of success as an accomplished concert pianist and applied to the China Inland Mission to become a missionary. In 1908, he was commissioned and he sailed for China.
Arriving in China at age 22, Fraser devoted his life to preaching to the unreached Lisu people. Fraser saw many hardships, often having only meager food. He also found it difficult winning converts. However, six years after he reached China, the breakthrough came; 600 Lisu people turned from their idol worship and followed Jesus Christ.
Fraser is remembered as one of the most successful Christian missionaries in East Asia of modern times. Through his ministry almost half of the entire Lisu people abandoned their worship of ancestor spirits and have become Christians.

It is indeed amazing how God can use a man who is willing to bring changes to a nation. The truth is that God has called us to shine as lights in our dark world.
Especially today, there is a need for the light of the Gospel to shine through us relentlessly into the increasing darkness in the world. We are all called to pay the required price to make the difference in the lives of people.
Jesus said no one lights a candle and hides it under a bushel, but sets it up to give light to all that are in the house.
Our lights are not to be hidden at this time. In whatever house we are, our lights are meant to give light to all that are in that environment. .
Let us therefore go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. As the Father sent Jesus, so have we been sent to our world. Today, we are the manifest form of Jesus that men see. We are the ambassadors of Heaven, positioned in our various fields of endeavor to positively affect our nation and generation. We must look beyond our immediate occupation to the divine call and assignment before us. God is going to use us as battles axes to root out and to build up and make a huge difference in the world.
Everywhere we go, the atmosphere should shift. Lives are to be changed and destinies recovered.
Indeed we are God’s agents on earth in these end-times to bring men into alignment with His will. We are called to be light bearers to combat the darkness in this generation.
Let us therefore not keep quiet or act as secret Christians. Let us proclaim the Gospel with boldness and power wherever we go. Let us keep shining our lights to help people find their way out of the darkness to embrace the light of Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to pay the required price of spiritual preparation, so as to be used by You to preach the Gospel wherever I go. Thank You Lord, for indeed manifesting Your power mightily through me in this generation in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; Matthew 24:32-51; Numbers 28-29; Song of Solomon 8:5-14

One of the 20th century’s most beloved hymns is “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” written by Thomas Chisholm.
What is remarkable about this hymn is that it was written during a time of trial.
Thomas Chisholm was born in 1866 and after his basic education, he was unable to attend a high school. However by the age of 16 years, he did become a school teacher and later ventured into the newspaper business.
After his conversion to Christianity, he was later ordained a Methodist minister in 1903. But he suffered so much poor health that he couldn’t continue serving as a minister. He served only a single, brief appointment at Scottsville, Kentucky before resigning. Due to his ill health, he had to leave the town and relocated his family to Winona Lake, Indiana where he stayed to recover. As a prolific writer of poetry, he began writing Hymns to bless God.
When he eventually became stronger, by 1916 he took up the job of an insurance salesman.
Through the difficulties and trials he passed in life, Thomas continued to write hymns to bless God. By the time of his retirement in 1953, he had written more than 1200 poems, 800 of which were published. Out of the many hymns he wrote, the depth of meaning and lyrical beauty of the words found in “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” made it to stand out.
This hymn would eventually become greatly loved. Though, initially, it was slow to catch on in churches, when Billy Graham began to include the hymn in his crusades it became very popular. And today it is one of the best known hymns in the world, which continues to greatly bless many people.

In Psalm 34 David wrote. “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.’

Although, Thomas Chisholm had many things to complain about in his life, he chose rather to bless God.
The truth is that no matter what we may face in life, God is always faithful. Though we may fight battles, these are often fights of faith through which God’s faithfulness is proved in our lives.
While battles are real, our victory is always guaranteed through Christ. This is why in every situation rather than focus on the problem, let us give God praise.
God is bigger than anything you’re facing. God has you in the palm of His hand. And no matter how tough things may sometimes seem, God knows exactly how to tip things in your favor. Therefore instead of complaining, or wearing a spirit of heaviness, let us rather put on the garment of praise.
As the year draws to an end it is a good time to look back and recount the faithfulness of God. Indeed God has been good. Never mind some of the negative things that may seem to have happened. The only reason why you survived the things that came against you this year was because God is on your side.
Despite the storm, He has preserved you. You know that sickness could have killed you, yet you survived. That financial situation could have driven you crazy, yet God made a way.
God is indeed good all the time. This is why in everything we keep praising Him and judging Him faithful .
And in this last month of December, God that begun a good work in you this year, will surely bring it to completion. God will perfect all that concerns you. Indeed you are finishing this year well and strong in Jesus Name.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your great faithfulness in my life.
Thank You for the victories You have given me in every battle this year. Indeed by Your grace I know that I am finishing this year very well and very strong in Jesus Name.

Huyler’s was a candy and restaurant chain in the New York City that became the largest and most prominent chocolate maker in the United States. It was founded by John S. Huyler.

When John S. Huyler first started out in business, he took Jacob’s pledge, covenanting with God that “ of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee” (Gen. 28:22).
Going to the bank, he opened a special account which he initialed “M. P.” Into that account he regularly entered a proportionate amount of his income. When anyone asked what the strange label meant, he told them that it stood for “My Partner.”
As he kept God uppermost in his mind in all his transactions, his business grew at a phenomenal rate. His growth and prosperity amazed his business associates. Yet, giving to God’s kingdom was the secret of his success.
At the time of his death on October 1, 1910, Huyler had 54 stores across America, supplied by 14 candy factories employing about 2,000 people.

Indeed a sure way to become prosperous in life is to connect actively to investment in God’s Kingdom.
In Genesis 28, Jacob was fleeing from the wrath of his brother Esau and embarking out on his own for the first time in his life.
As he laid down alone in a solitary wilderness, using a stone for his pillow, he had no idea of what the future held. However, though Jacob was full of uncertainty, that night, through covenanting to give God a tenth of all his earnings, his future was secured. (Genesis 28:20-22)
God indeed prospered Jacob exceedingly and his 12 sons would become the ancestors of the 12 tribes of Israel.

Giving God, the tenth of our increase or income is known as tithing. It is our covenant acknowledgment of God’s blessings in our lives that entitles us to the continuous flow of His goodness. (Malachi 3:8-11).
The giving covenant will always open the heaven and release an outpouring of blessings upon our lives. As long as we are on this earth, the covenant of seedtime and harvest remains a force.
When we make the promotion of God’s kingdom our first priority, then everything else will eventually become added to us.
God delights in prospering those that favour His cause and focus on the building of His House.
In Haggai 1:4-11 God shut the heavens over the people because they had been unmindful of His house, while focusing rather on building their personal houses. However, when the people repented of their neglect of God’s House and began to build it, God once again opened the Heavens over them.
When Obededom took the ark of the Lord into his house, within 3 months his story changed for good and he prospered amazingly. [2 Samuel 6]
Likewise, in this last month of the year, as we bring the ark of the lord into our house, by connecting to active Kingdom service, God will surely prosper us exceedingly.
Indeed as we make it top priority to serve God with our time, talent and resources, He will surely change our story for good and bless us beyond every expectation.

PRAYER: Lord please grant me the grace to connect to kingdom service like never before. As I make the promotion of Your kingdom the top priority in my life, I thank You Lord, for opening the Heavens over me and showering me with blessings in Jesus Name. .

Robert Gilmore LeTourneau is one of the most inspiring Christian inventor, businessman and entrepreneur the world has ever seen. Though he was a sixth grade dropout, R.G LeTourneau through investing in God’s kingdom, became the leading machinery manufacturer of his day.
However at the beginning of his career, he learned an important lesson about giving to the Lord.
He had made an annual pledge of $5,000 annual to the Church. As a result of this giving, in one year, he made $35,000 profit during a time of depression.
However, puffed up with pride, he then decided to withhold the payment of his $5,000 annual pledge the next year, in order to reinvest it and gain an anticipated net profit of $100,000.
However, within a year, his anticipated $100,000 profit was turned into a $100,000 loss. Chastened and repentant, LeTourneau then made every effort to redeem his skipped pledge to the Church.
As he resumed giving to the Lord, from that point on, LeTourneau’s fortune changed and within four years, he and his wife founded the LeTourneau Foundation, which financed evangelical Christian work world-wide. At one time, this foundation was worth $40 million.
Through giving to the Lord, LeTourneau greatly prospered. He eventually had more than 300 patents to his name and made major contributions to road construction and heavy equipment that forever changed the world. Most importantly, his contribution to the advancement of the Gospel ranks him among the greatest of Christian Businessmen of all time.
LeTourneau would go on to give 90% of his income to the spread of the Gospel, while keeping only 10%. He was often quoted as saying “It is not how much money I give to God, but how much of God’s money I keep for myself.”

The level to which we are committed to promoting God’s kingdom will determine the level to which He will bless us.
It is indeed the blessings of God that makes rich and not our smartness. Riches do not come because of our financial ingenuity or projections.
It may be tempting sometimes to think we are prospering because we are working hard, however, the truth is that kingdom prosperity is determined by our kingdom investment. The more you give the more you are qualified to receive.

We are not blessed to be accumulators; we are blessed to be distributors. In God’s Kingdom, we are blessed essentially to be channels of His blessing. No one can be blessed beyond their commitment to be a blessing.
Through giving to the Lord, Abraham did not only become blessed, also all the generations after him were blessed. Through his willingness to lay down Isaac, Abraham’s posterity gained prosperity.
Abraham’s action, foreshadowed an event that would take place 2,000 years later when God willingly sacrificed his only son, Jesus. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, we have redemption today. Through the power in His Blood we can now live in victory and dominion on the earth.
Just as Jesus proved His love by laying His life down at Calvary for us, let us also prove our love for Him by our willingness to lay it all down. Let us totally give Him all of our lives and hearts and then let us continually be willing to sow towards the promotion of His kingdom on the earth.

PRAYER; Lord I thank You for the gift of eternal life You have given me through Your sacrifice at the cross. Please enable me to be willing to always lay down everything You demand of me, withholding nothing in Jesus Name.

The Colgate-Palmolive Company is one of the oldest companies in the world. It was started nearly two hundred years ago by a young man named William Colgate. At 16 years of age, William decided to leave his poor home and step out to seek his fortune. As he headed for the city with everything he owned tied up in a little bundle, he met an old neighbor along the way. William then told this man of his mission to go to New York city, to practice the only trade he knew which was soap and candle making.
The old man knelt down and prayed earnestly for young William and then gave him this advice: “Someone will soon be the leading soap-maker in New York. It can be you as well as someone else. Be a good man, give your heart to Christ, pay the Lord all that belongs to Him, make an honest soap; give a full pound, and I’m certain you’ll be a prosperous and rich man.”
When he got to the city, William heeded the old man’s words, and joined a church and gave his life to Christ.
He worked hard at soap making and paid tithe from the first dollar he earned. As his business grew, he continued to increase his tithe. Soon William became highly successful. Later in his life, he made the work of God such priority that he devoted the whole of his yearly income to the Lord.
Today, the Colgate-Palmolive Company is a $15.6 billion global company in more than 200 countries around the world. All this became possible because many years ago, a young man decided to trust the Lord with his whole life and his future.

Just like William Colgate stepped into an unknown future trusting God, many of us stepped out into this historical year with only our trust in God. At the beginning of the year, as the disturbing news of a global pandemic dominated headlines around the world, many didn’t know where the end of the year would find them.
But certainly those that put their trust in God will never be ashamed.
Despite the social challenges, health risks, financial instability and all the peculiar problems of this year; here we are today, seeing the last month of this year.
God has shielded His people from the rage of the enemy and preserved us from the waves of the storm. Despite all that we passed through, this year didn’t see our end, rather we are seeing its end.
Indeed we have so much to be thankful to God for. Time and time again the Blood of Jesus kept speaking ‘Passover’ to the enemy concerning our health, our finances, our family and relationships.
God fought our battles known and unknown. In every challenge, He made us more than conquerors and continually gave us the victory over the plans of the wicked.
Therefore on this first day of December, it is time to deliberately give God worthy praise. It was not by our power or might, it was not by our wisdom or intelligence, it was not by our hard work or smartness, it was only because of the Lord’s mercies that we were not consumed. His mercies remain new every morning and even in this new month, His amazing mercies continue to speak for us.
We stepped out unsure of what the year held, but by trusting in the Lord, He is bringing us to a flourishing end.
In this month of ‘Deckember” God will go further to decorate us with new colors. He will crown the year for us with good things. And because every divine agenda speaks loudest at the end, as the year ends, be prepared for sudden prophetic fulfillments of God’s promise of glory. It doesn’t matter how the year may have started, be assured that God is bringing it to a beautiful conclusion for you.
Indeed by the Blood of Jesus, it is your time to see beauty in the place of every ash you may have seen this year. Surely, every mourning shall be turned into dancing for you and every spirit of heaviness replaced with the garment of praise.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your great and amazing doings in my life this year. You are indeed the God of wonders! And as I praise You today, I know You are set to do yet more amazing things in my life in this crowning month of the year in Jesus Name. ..
