James Garfield was born into a Christian family. However, as he grew older, he had no interest in living for God, but rather he desired to be a sailor. When he was 18 years old, he planned to take a sea trip with some friends, but fell sick just before their departure. He was compelled to stay at home while his friends left on the journey without him.
At that period a crusade was being organized in their town by a powerful Revivalist.
James attended the meetings, and became so deeply touched that he surrendered his life to Christ.
He took his faith seriously and immediately began to serve God, sharing the Gospel with others. James Garfield’s burning desire to represent God affected his character and how he related with people.
He was determined to seek an education, to enable him serve God better. He went to College, studied law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar Association in 1860. Thereafter, he became an ordained Gospel minister.
During the American Civil War, James Garfield served in the Military and used every opportunity to point the soldiers under him to a personal relationship with Christ.
Garfield distinguished himself in his military service and before the war was over, he rose to the rank of major general. After the war, he went into politics and was elected to the United States Congress where he quickly became a major player in national politics.
On November 2, 1880, Garfield who was a lay-minister became elected the 20th president of the United States. He became the only Gospel minister to serve as an American president.
Though he started life as a local boy who only wanted to be a sailor, his encounter with Christ positively altered the course of his life. His passionate desire to serve God distinguished him everywhere he went and eventually made him to occupy the highest office in his nation.

Indeed redemption offers us a glorious destiny in Christ. It is God’s plan for the redeemed to be pacesetters and trail blazers. We are ordained kings and priests to reign on the earth.
Salvation makes us to become the salt of the earth, the light of the world, and cities set on hills that cannot be hidden.
As long as we walk in His Will, God has lined up circumstances that will bring us to a glorious destiny.
In His plan, supernatural opportunities and divine connections are all lined up to help you arrive at your preordained place in life.
Frustrations only come if we leave God’s plan to follow our own paths. Indeed God’s plan for us surpasses whatever plans we may have for ourselves. As the Heavens are higher than the earth so are God’s thoughts higher than ours, and His ways higher than our ways..

Manifestation of His glorious destiny comes as we walk closely to Him because He alone has the capacity to execute His blueprint for our lives.

Indeed, life becomes easy when we simply learn to trust and obey God.
When the Lord is our shepherd, He will lead us to green pastures.
Therefore rather than fret about the future, let us rest in God and keep our focus on obeying His Word.
As we keep following Him each day, inch by inch He gradually leads us into the place of prominence He has destined for us.

Though we may sometimes encounter challenges, God is able to work in us to accomplish His preordained plan.
He sits upon the throne of His glory, holding the scepter of His dominion in our favor.

Therefore in every situation, let us keep praising God because as long as we are in Christ we are headed towards an enviable destiny. Certainly, He that has begun a good work in us will surely bring it to a glorious completion.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always walk closely to You through Your Word and be fervent in Spirit, so that I can be sensitive to know Your leadings in my life. Certainly by Your grace, I shall fulfill the glorious destiny You have ordained for me and truly manifest as a sign and wonder to all in Jesus Name

DAILY READING – Revelation 6; Nehemiah 8:13-9:37; Psalm 101

In 1893, in Columbia, Mississippi, a farmer was killed by an unknown gunman. His brother, wrongfully claimed that a 21-year-old man named Will Purvis, was the murderer.

Though Purvis proclaimed his innocence and his family testified he was with them at the time of the murder, during the court case, the jury overlooked his pleas and sentenced Purvis to die by hanging.
While in jail, a local Pastor named Reverend J.Sibley came and preached to Purvis and helped him to draw closer to God. Reverend Sibley, who believed Purvis was innocent continued to pray for him.

When the day of the execution finally arrived, Purvis was led to the gallows where a crowd had gathered to watch. Before the execution, Revered Sibley cried to the heavens, “Almighty God, if it be thy will, stay the hand of the executioner.”
The noose was placed around Purvis’ neck and then the executioner cut the stay rope. Though the noose around his neck should have tightened and killed him, instead it untwisted on its own, freeing Purvis, who fell to the ground, unhurt.
The crowd seeing this, believed it was an act of God that had saved an innocent man and they refused that he should be hanged a second time.
Though the case caused a lot of uproar, eventually Purvis was pardoned by the court and later released.
Nineteen years later, the real murderer, while on his death bed, confessed to the crime, finally proving Purvis’ innocence.
The state of Mississippi awarded Purvis $5000 as compensation for his wrongful imprisonment. Incidentally, Will Purvis outlived all the members of the jury who had wrongfully sentenced him to death. He died in 1938, three days after the last juror had died.

Haman, working through deceit and manipulation, had plotted to get rid of Mordecai. He set up Mordecai’s demise and built gallows for his public execution.
However, while Haman was plotting and scheming, he failed to realize that nothing remains hidden from God and that Jehovah alone has the final say in all matters.
Through God’s divine deliverance, Mordecai escaped the evil plot of Haman. Not only that, what the enemy meant for evil, God turned it around for the good of Mordecai.

There are times we may encounter Hamans in our lives, people who build gallows to hang you even when you are innocent.
These are plotting, scheming, wicked people, whose goal seems to be focused on your demise.

However the Word of God has assured us that whosoever gathers against us must surely fall for our sake. Though they may come against you one way, they will flee seven ways.
Certainly, God knows how to deliver His children.
Today, through the Blood of Jesus we can no longer become cheap victims of the wicked. As a child of God, no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
No weapon of injustice, wickedness, sickness, etc can work against you. Jesus paid the ultimate price at Calvary to ensure our victory and deliverance from every evil plot against our lives. Certainly, we shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living. Indeed when you are a child of God, every appointment with death will be disappointed.

Though we may live in a world where the innocent can become victims, and injustice abounds, the Mighty God we serve never sleeps nor slumbers. God who sees in secret is able to expose every hidden plot and vindicate you openly.

However, God’s Presence is what guarantees our divine immunity and security from the plots of the wicked.
This is why we must focus on building a more intimate relationship with Him through time spent in the Word, prayers and fellowship. Certainly, when God is on our side, our victory is guaranteed in every conflict.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the amazing power You have made available to me through the Blood of Jesus. Thank You Lord for delivering me from every evil plan and establishing my victory in every battle in Jesus Name.

DAILY READING; Revelation 5; Nehemiah 7:5-8:12; Psalm 100

On Jan. 12, 2010, a bank manager in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and her staff were in a celebration mood. The manager, Ginette Sainfort, had just treated the bank’s employees to pumpkin soup, the traditional Haitian meal usually served to celebrate Haiti’s independence.

After the celebration, Ginette waited for her husband who was on his way to pick her up. That was when she heard the unfamiliar noise of the earthquake. Suddenly the building began to shake and then the three stories building begin to fall all around her.
Amid the mayhem, Ginette Sainfort found herself, buried under a pile of concrete, with her fingers pinned by a metal sign.
This began a painful six-days ordeal as she remained underneath the rubble of the fallen building.
However, despite her impossible situation, her strong faith in God made her to survive and eventually come out alive.

Finally, she was miraculously located and brought out by a rescue team.
She became an iconic image of the Haiti earthquake because while she was being pulled out from under the rubble, she amazed everyone by singing praises to God despite her weakened condition.

Though she eventually lost four of her fingers, that didn’t deter her joy.
Rather than see herself as a disabled person because of her missing fingers, Ginette sees herself as greatly blessed.
During a press interview, she said “I never give sadness a chance to take over my heart. I don’t have a reason to complain.’

After fully recovering her health, Ginnete resumed her job as a bank manager and at every opportunity she freely expressed her gratitude to God for His awesome deliverance.

As believers, Joy is the spiritual and emotional fuel we run on. As long as we can maintain our joy, we will certainly have the victory in every situation..
It is true we may sometimes pass through trials and temptations, but in everything we must be deliberate to give thanks to God at all times.

As you praise God, you will be raised out of every pit, but if you complain you will remain.
When Moses took the Israelites into the desert and they became entrapped by the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army in hot pursuit, they began to complain.

Exodus 14:10-11 says, ” They said to Moses, ’Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die.”
At that moment they forgot the signs and wonders of God they had seen in Egypt. They failed to realize that the Almighty God who delivered them before could still deliver them again and again.

The truth is that complaining only complicates the matter. When you complain, God takes it personally because it shows a lack of faith in His deliverance ability. If you complain, you are calling into question His care, His character, and His competence.

Numbers 11:1 says the Israelites “complained about their hardships and when God heard it his anger was aroused.” As a result, He destroyed some of the people.
Indeed murmuring and complaining angers God.
Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 10:9-10 ‘Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.’

Seeing that complaining can be destructive, let us therefore make the conscious choice, in every trial to count it all joy and remain grateful to God. No matter how tough things may get, keep praising God in spite of the happenings.
As you praise God, He works behind the scene to give you a supernatural turnaround.
Gratitude—not grumbling, is what motivates God to work on our behalf.

Ps 50:14-15 says “Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and…in the day of trouble; I will deliver you” (AMP)

Certainly, God is able to deliver us from every tough situation. However the ability to praise God is a function of our level of faith. The more we see God’s amazing works through His Word, the more faith is ignited in us to praise Him in advance for our miracles.
Today, no matter what you may face, always resist the temptation to complain, rather always maintain your joy at all times, because indeed the joy of the Lord is your source of strength.

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You because I know that You are always at work in my life no matter how things may sometimes seem outwardly. Please grant me the grace for diligent study of Your Word so that I can have the faith to always remain joyful and believe You for my miracles in Jesus’ Name.

Billy Sunday was widely considered the most influential American evangelist during the first two decades of the 20th century.
Remarkably before becoming a preacher he was also a celebrated baseball star. He dramatically became born again in 1886.
On February 17, 1889, a national sensation occurred when Billy Sunday came out as a Christian evangelist, preaching his first sermon in Chicago.
His first appearance as an evangelist was marked with success. However his audience was made up of about 500 men who came to hear him only because they knew him to be a successful baseball athlete. From that first preaching appearance his ministry began to grow and expand.
During the early 20th century, he became the nation’s most famous evangelist and attracted the largest crowds of any preacher before the advent of electronic sound systems.

An outstanding feature of his life and ministry was the great display of excellence. Remarkably, throughout his ministry, no scandal ever touched Billy Sunday. His exemplary Christian life endeared him to many people. Many prominent people found him trustworthy and he was often invited to the homes of numerous Hollywood stars, politicians, including American Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. He was also befriended by wealthy men such as Herbert Hoover and John D. Rockefeller.
During the 46 years of his ministry, over 100 million people heard Billy Sunday preach. He was also known for his great philanthropy and he gave away much of his earnings.
Billy Sunday inspired famous evangelists and revival preachers, such as Billy Graham, T.L. Osborne, and Oral Roberts.

The world we live in, responds to excellence. If we want to attract attention of people then we must display excellence in our lives and career.
Excellence will cause you to stand up and stand out. Indeed your performance determines your platform.
An exemplary life will determine how people respond to us as Christians and the kind of influence we can have.
When you are excellent in what you do, people will be desirous to know the secret of your success. This then presents a platform for the preaching of the Gospel.
The queen of Sheba was so dazzled by the excellence she saw displayed by Solomon that the Bible says she came and asked him “hard questions”.
Nobody cares to know the secret of the man who is a failure. But when we are fruitful and our lives are flourishing, people are drawn to us.

In a world of gross darkness, the brightness of our lives will attract people to Christ. Our lives and our lights are to so shine before men that they will glorify our Father in Heaven.
We are to live as an epitome of divine health, supernatural prosperity, divine protection, favor etc.

The people in the Bible who affected their world were those who had the spirit of excellence.
Joseph, though a slave, displayed such excellence in Potiphar’s house, that Potiphar placed him above his entire household
The key characteristic of Daniel was that he had an excellent spirit. Even as young boy, he had such a standard that he refused to defile himself by eating the king’s meat.
Daniel 6:3 says “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”

The spirit of excellence will make our lives stand out. However we cannot give what we don’t have. To display excellence we must be connected to the ultimate source of excellence – the Spirit of God.
It is only when we abide in Christ that we can be fruitful. Truly without Him we can do nothing, but through Him we can do all things.
Today, as we deeply connect to God through a lifestyle of diligent study of the Word, intimate fellowship and prayers, the glory of God will greatly manifest through us to attract men to the God we serve.

PRAYER; Lord, Please enable me to constantly connect to the light in Your Word so that my life can shine as a light in the dark world. Thank You Lord for imparting to me the spirit of excellence and causing me to truly stand out wherever I go in Jesus Name.

Newly declassified documents reveal that in November 1983, at the height of Cold War tensions, the United States and the Soviet Union came very close to a nuclear war.
This was during a massive military training exercise known as ‘Able Archer’, in which NATO countries practiced how to use nuclear weapons in the event of a war in Europe.
NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization which was formed in 1949 by a number of countries to provide collective security against the threat posed by the Soviet Union. These countries include Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the United States.
In 1983, their militaries had come together in a drill that was made to appear like a real war. This exercise involved a fleet of cargo transport planes flying 19,000 soldiers in 170 sorties from the United States to bases in Europe. The planes were loaded with dummy bombs that looked remarkably real.
The Soviets who were monitoring all of this mistakenly believed that the U.S. and NATO really were about to launch a nuclear first strike against the USSR.
Soviet military commanders were ordered to get ready to retaliate and make preparations for the immediate use of nuclear weapons. As part of that order, Soviet military loaded actual nuclear bombs onto several combat planes and got ready for an attack.
This situation would easily have escalated to an actual nuclear war had it not been for a single American officer, Lt. Gen. Leonard Perroots who was the intelligence chief for U.S. Air Forces in Europe. When he got intelligence information from a spy working in the Soviet Union detailing what the Soviets were about to do, he quickly took steps to alert his superiors, who in turn immediately informed leaders of the Soviet Union that it was only a drill. And so what might otherwise have been a deadly escalation was immediately arrested.

It is indeed amazing that despite the many times the world had come close to complete disaster, God has continued to preserve humanity by steering men away from the brink of self-destruction.
It is certainly, a testament of God’s faithfulness that the world still exists today, despite the wide possibilities of destruction.
Though this present generation has developed the capability to destroy the entire earth through a nuclear war, yet God does not let it happen.
Despite the many close calls, God remains in control of the entire universe and continues to run things according to His divine agenda.
In the same way, concerning our lives as believers, God remains in perfect control. Despite how uncertain things may sometimes seem, our lives are in His hands. He has said that no hair can fall from our heads without Him knowing.
We are never alone in the journey of destiny because God is always our ever present help and refuge. Indeed our safety and security are not in the hands of any man, or government, but in God’s hands alone. And as long as He is with us, we are protected from evil.

Psalm 23:4-5: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. …”

Truly, in these perilous times, God’s Presence is our assurance of safety. We maintain His presence through diligently holding on to His Word, fervent prayers and a praise-full lifestyle.
In this world of uncertainty His Presence is our only guarantee of protection. This is why we must strive to live holy and walk according to His Word so as to abide in His perfect will. And as long as we are in His will, we will be too defended to be victims.

Psalms 105:13 – 15 says ‘When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.’

The Presence of God places a ‘touch not seal’ upon us which makes us inaccessible to the forces of darkness. And as God’s Presence surrounds us, a thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not come near us.
Today as we abide in God’s Word and bless Him at all times, certainly, His Presence will make all the difference in our lives.

PRAYER: Father, I know that You are my Source, my Defender, fortress, hiding place, Stronghold and Shield. Because my life is hid in Christ, and Christ is hid in You, I know I am totally protected. Thank You Lord, for always surrounding me with Your Power in Jesus Name. .

Bob Hamer is the author of the book ‘The Last Undercover’.
He is a Christian who worked for America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI] for 26 years as a Special Agent. Much of his career was spent undercover in assignments aimed at exposing organized crime, gangs, terrorism, and child exploitation. Due to his undercover work several criminals were convicted on federal charges. Though some of the assignments were highly dangerous he found the courage to forge on from the fact that the job had come as an answer to prayer.
When Bob first applied for a job as an FBI agent, he was turned down due to a hiring freeze. Soon after that he received another job offer, but just before accepting the new job he stopped to pray, seeking God’s will. After that prayer, the very next morning the FBI called him and told him they had an opening for him.
To Bob that was a direct answer to prayer and an assurance that he was meant to be in the FBI. This assurance became an anchor for him during difficult and dangerous cases where even his life was threatened.
Each of his assignments had an element of danger. However, he always prayed before every undercover job. Typically it was a prayer of strength, asking God to give him the grace to carry out the assignment.
In the course of his work he had been in gun battles and life threatening situations, but he says he felt a protection that the best body armor and cover couldn’t provide.
He was the undercover agent in the Los Angeles mafia family case where he helped to take out the top 15 mob leaders in LA. If during the assignment they had discovered who he was, certainly he could have been killed.
But he said despite the great danger, he had a sense of peace because he felt he was where he was supposed to be.
Bob received numerous awards throughout his career and from his experiences as an FBI agent he has written several award-winning books.

Next to salvation, divine direction stands out as our greatest asset in the journey of destiny. Divine guidance is what leads to success and progress.
You cannot be guided and become grounded in life, because when God leads you, He goes ahead of you to make crooked paths straight. He guides you through even treacherous and difficult circumstances, until He brings you into the fullness of His plan for you.
When God led the Israelites through the wilderness, He said in Exodus 23:23 ‘”For mine angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorite, and the … and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.’

When God leads you on your journey, He will give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. When you receive divine guidance before embarking on an endeavor you will enjoy divine immunity no matter how many enemies may gather against you.
Indeed no force in hell can stop a man who is being guided by God and who is pursuing a divine mandate for his life. Heavenly forces will be on hand to fight your battles and cut off the adversaries and oppositions on your path.
Not seeking God’s direction first and only following your inclination causes you to wander out of the course He has charted for you. And this is what leads to pains, heartaches and miseries in life.

Proverbs 14:12 says “ There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. ”

We cannot depend on our physical senses alone to locate the right way to go in life. To see fruitfulness and abundant harvest in this season it is important that we engage divine help and guidance in all our endeavors. Certainly, when you hear from heaven before you act on earth, every barrier will be turned into signs and wonders.
Whenever God leads you in any venture, He watches over you, keeps you under the shadow of His wings and clears off any opposition that tries to obstruct you,

With the increasing uncertainty in the world today we really need to follow divine plan more than ever before. Rather than run after our own ambitions, let us chase after God’s divine vision for us. Certainly, as we do so, we will find that everything we need for life and godliness has already been made available in the plan God has ordained for us.

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to always seek Your guidance in all my endeavors, so that I can experience miraculous fruitfulness and supernatural harvest in this season. Thank You Lord for going ahead of me and indeed making every crooked path straight in Jesus Name.

In the early 19th century, China was an elusive and ancient country, which could only be reached from Europe after a 5-month journey by sea.
At that time, preaching of the Gospel was banned in China and prosecuted with the death sentence. The only reason Westerners were allowed to step on the Chinese soil was for the purpose of trade. The emperor of China had also pronounced the death sentence on any of its nationals that would teach a foreigner the Chinese language.
In compliance with these Chinese laws and in order not to jeopardize its lucrative trade with China, the British Empire equally discouraged missionaries from travelling to China.

Under these challenging conditions, Robert Morrison was sent to serve as the first Protestant missionary to China.
Before embarking on the journey, Morrison was aware of the dangers that surrounded his mission. Not only was China a closed fortress, but Morrison’s own country, England, had also forbidden him from going there.
However, despite these obstacles, Morrison found his way to China and arrived in the country on 4th September 1807. On arrival, he received further warnings from some leading Englishmen and Americans residing there who explained to him the great obstacles in the way of the accomplishment of his mission. However, Morrison decided to trust in God and not give up on his divine assignment and so he stayed on in China.
Soon after his arrival, he was expelled by the Chinese authorities from the city where he was residing and he was forced to go into hiding. He tried to learn the Chinese language to enable him preach the Gospel but most of the Chinese people, afraid of the Emperor’s death penalty, refused to teach him their language.
A Chinese man who eventually agreed to teach him demanded very high fees for the service. During those early months Robert Morrison’s trials and discouragements were indeed great, but yet he refused to give up on his quest.
Finally, bit by bit he was able to learn the Chinese language and embarked on the translation of some Christian literature to Chinese. He subsequently became the first missionary to translate the New Testament Bible into the Chinese language and through his ministry the door was opened for the spread of the Gospel in China.

Indeed when God opens a door before you no man can shut it.
It doesn’t matter the obstacles or how the enemy tries to block your progress, as you remain persistent in faith you will eventually break down every resistance.
Just like a seed hidden in the ground, it may sometimes seem as if there is no way you can break through the barriers of hard soil resisting your growth. But all you need is to remain planted in the right place.
No matter the obstacles, victory eventually comes as we stay continually rooted in study of God’s Word, fervent prayers and praise.
When a seed stays rooted in the ground, growth eventually begins to take place moving the plant upward until it breaks through the hard ground and rises above its barriers. .
Likewise, when we stay rooted in God we will eventually become fruitful and flourish in life. As you remain planted in God and abide faithful to His call, power will be released to enable you rise above obstacles.

Indeed when God is on your side, it is only a matter of time before you breakthrough the barriers and limitations to your progress. .

The truth is that anyone aiming to accomplish anything significant in life will face challenges. But the difference between the winners and losers is the way they view obstacles. While losers see setbacks as the end of the road, winners only see it as a bend in the road.
Winners never quit and quitters never win.

Therefore, no matter what obstacles you may face, always keep the channel for your miracle open by not giving up.
When you refuse to be intimidated by challenges and keep moving forward in faith, the surpassing greatness of God’s power will be released to you.
As you keep doing what you can do, God will do what you can’t do. He will do sudden miracles, signs and wonders that will establish you in victory.. Indeed Faithful is He that called you who will also do it.

Certainly, in this season of fruitfulness and abundant harvest, God will make a way for us in every desert and cause rivers of blessings and favor to flow towards us.
As we maintain our joy and continually praise God for His faithfulness, whatever may have seemed a dark hour, will miraculously be turned around to become our greatest hour.

PRAYER: Lord, I praise You for the miraculous things You are about to do in my life in this month. Thank You Lord for enabling me to break through every barrier and limitations and to experience unprecedented growth in all my endeavors in Jesus Name.

Rev. John Geddie was a Presbyterian minister from Scotland who was used by God to bring the Gospel to the
natives of the South seas island on the Pacific ocean.
He became the first missionary to the New Hebrides island, which at the time was known for its cannibalism.
Despite the dangers, in 1848, John Geddie, his wife and their missionary team sailed to the island to preach the Gospel.
After the ship that brought them departed, the missionaries found themselves abandoned in a land full of barbarians.
On one of their first nights on the island, hideous shrieks and unearthly wails shattered the stillness of the night. They later learnt that it was the cries of a widow who was being strangled to accompany her dead husband to the next world. Such was the custom of the native people whose lives were steeped in barbarism, moral degradation and evil.

After learning the native language, John Geddie would visit their villages traveling through forests and over the mountains, preaching Christ to the people. Numerous attempts were made to kill him. Stones, clubs and spears were hurled at him, and several times he was injured, but somehow, miraculously, God always protected him.

Rev. John Geddie persistently preached to the people until the light of the Gospel eventually began to penetrate their hardened hearts. After years of patient seed-sowing, John Geddie finally began to see new converts.
Through years of spiritual labor, his ministry made such great impacts on the people that a time came when virtually every heathen on the island had become converted to Christianity..
Though there were no Christians when John Geddie and his wife first landed on the island in 1848, by the time they left in 1872, there were no more heathens. The evil customs had been abolished and the love of Christ now prevailed among the people.

Certainly when we are faithful, we will be fruitful.
If we don’t grow weary in well doing, in due season we will surely reap.
While obeying God’s call, we may sometimes pass through overwhelming attacks and challenges.
However, despite any opposition that may come against you, always be determined to maintain your position in Christ.
No matter what happens always remain faithful in your service to God, keep doing your best and trust God to take care of the rest.
If you keep going the extra mile, despite the many difficulties on your journey, you will eventually arrive at a glorious destination..

As you abide faithful and remain planted in God’s purpose for you, soon you will begin to experience growth.
You character will develop and your spiritual muscles will get stronger.
Sometimes, God will not change your circumstances, rather He will use your circumstances to change you.
As you abide faithful, you will begin to flourish and eventually see supernatural harvest of your efforts.

Understand that it is the enemy’s strategy to use weariness and discouragment to abort your harvest.
Oftentimes the oppositions that come against you are not random. Rather they’re strategic attacks aimed at shifting you from your position so as to miss the harvest coming to you.
This is why we must engage the Blood of Jesus against everything that tries to disconnect us from our harvest.
We must never allow fear, offences, temptations, disappointments or discouragment to cause us to compromise our stand in Christ.
Today, by the Blood of Jesus, let us receive the grace to always remain faithful in our service to God.
No matter the oppositions that may come against us, let us never grow weary in well doing. Certainly, as we remain spiritually persistent and fervent in seeking God’s Kingdom first, all other things will eventually be added unto us. As we refuse to faint or grow weary, in due season we shall surely reap the fruits of all our labors..

PRAYER;
Lord please help me to continue to stand in faith no matter the opposition I may sometimes face. Please grant me renewed appetite for Your Word so that I can draw the strength to always overcome. Certainly, through the Blood of Jesus I have continual victory in Jesus Name.

Over 3,000 years ago King David made Jerusalem the capital of Israel. But years later, the city saw many battles as other nations fought to claim ownership of it.
Jerusalem has been attacked 52 times, besieged 23 times, ransacked 39 times, destroyed and rebuilt 3 times . It has been captured and recaptured 44 times.

Jerusalem was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar II, later occupied by Romans, taken over by the Byzantine Empire, captured by Muslims, later recaptured by Crusaders from Western Europe. Jerusalem fell again to the Saracens, became a part of the Ottoman Empire and later came under British rule.
At the expiration of the British mandate in 1948, the Jews declared their independence and the Arab–Israeli War began immediately. Though Israel gained victory and independence yet they still didn’t gain full control of Jerusalem as the city was divided between Israel and Jordan.

Throughout the years of these battles over Jerusalem, the Jews had continued to pray, “To Jerusalem, thy city, shall we return with joy,” and they have repeated the oath: “If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.”

And finally to Jerusalem did the Jews return to with joy.
God answered their prayers and in 1967, during the Six-Day war, Israel regained total control of the entire city of Jerusalem.
The first Jewish soldiers to walk to the Western wall, wept openly with joy. Jews across the world celebrated this fulfillment of prophecy. Indeed despite all the struggles over ownership of Jerusalem, finally God’s Word had prevailed and the Jews once again had total control of Jerusalem.
On May 14th 2018, exactly 70 years after Israel’s independence, came the historic move of the United States Embassy to Jerusalem, in recognition of it as the capital of Israel.
Indeed, 3000 years after King David first made Jerusalem the capital of Israel, despite all the battles, delays and disappointments, finally today Jerusalem is back again as the capital of Israel.

When there is a prophecy over you, it doesn’t matter how many battles, you may have to fight, in the end God’s Word will prevail!
Whatever God speaks over your life is established. Because He will back up His Word with power and ensures it comes to pass.
Indeed the counsel of the Lord will surely stand.
This is why it is important to always hold on to the Word from God.

Delays are never denials. Whatever the mouth of God promises,His hands are able to perform.

Even if the vision may tarry, wait for it, in the end it will surely speak.
Understand that God can give you a vision overnight, but usually it will not be fulfilled overnight. Sometimes before the fulfillment, you may face battles, discouragements and delays.
But despite the setbacks, what matters most is the faith and resilience power within you.

Never stop believing God’s Word no matter what you may face. God is too faithful to fail you.
As long as you walk in obedience to His Word, His promises will surely be fulfilled in your life.

Having come to the sixth month of this year, let us continue to believe God for the manifestations of wonders in our lives.
Even if things around you suggest otherwise, continue to expect the prophetic fulfilment of God’s Word. This will surely be a year of divine turnarounds and miraculous change of story. It is certainly our season of supernatural harvest and speedy accomplishments.
It is a turning point season where the lines will suddenly fall for us in pleasant places.
Even if your expectations suffer delays, be assured that your destination cannot be denied.

In the meantime, continually strenghten your faith through diligent study of the Word, prayers and praise.
In all things keep blessing the Name of the Lord because His Word will surely come to pass in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, please grant me the grace to always keep my faith strong in You despite contrary situations.. Please help me to always maintain my joy. I know that this is certainly my season to see speedy manifestations of Your signs and wonders in Jesus Name.

On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities announced 27 cases of “viral pneumonia of unknown origin”. Doctors in the city of Wuhan found it baffling. At that time, the scale of the global disaster that was about to strike was scarcely imaginable.
On January 11, 2020, China announced the first death in Wuhan. Within days, cases flared across Asia, France and the United States.
By the end of the month, countries were airlifting foreigners out of China. Borders around the world started to close and more than 50 million people living in Wuhan’s province of Hubei were in quarantine.
On February 11, the World Health Organization named the new disease as Covid-19. Four days later, France reported the first confirmed death outside Asia.
As Italy, Spain, France and Britain went into lockdown, WHO declared Covid-19 a pandemic.
By mid-April, 3.9 billion people or half of humanity were living under some form of lockdown. From Paris to New York, from Delhi to Lagos, and from London to Buenos Aires, streets fell eerily silent, the all too frequent wail of ambulance sirens, a reminder that death loomed close.
As the horror went global, the race for a vaccine began.

To say that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has changed the world would be an understatement. In less than a year after the virus emerged it upended day-to-day lives across the globe. It changed how people interacted as social distancing guidelines led to a more virtual existence.
Churches, businesses, Schools and other public gatherings were closed causing the world economy to suffer a rough ride. Live sports were cancelled and for the first time in peacetime, the summer Olympics were delayed.
Covid-19, which is arguably the worst pandemic the world has seen in 100 years, has shown how rapidly the world can change overnight.

Indeed life on earth can change dramatically, unexpectedly, in one day.
However, in the midst of global shakeups, collapse of structures and system’s overhaul; one thing will ever remain unchanging – God’s Word.

As the world struggled through the confusion and fears of the months of the pandemic, as believers, God’s Word remained our anchor and solid rock.
And as we held on to God’s promises we have been preserved, and by His mercies we have not been consumed.
Though we may have sometimes passed through the water and the fire, yet God’s Word always prevailed in our lives.
God delivered our soul from death, our eyes from tears, and our feet from falling [Psalm 116:8]

While the world around us was shaking, God became our refuge and strength, and our very present help in trouble.

Reflecting on the past few months, we can indeed see that God has been faithful.
Memory is a catalyst for worship. We need to count our blessings and name them one by one to see what the Lord has done.

Having come to the sixth month of this year, we must be deliberate not to forget the benefits of God that we have seen.

Ps 103:1-2 says “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits”.

Indeed in all things God deserves our thanks. Let us also bless Him for the coming months of bountiful harvest.
Though weeping may have endured for the night, joy has come with the morning.
Though the past months may have seemed like a desolate wilderness, this new month will be like the garden of Eden.

It is indeed our season of flourishing.
It is our season to walk in God’s promises of wonders.

Let us begin to trust God for a bountiful new season. It is time to see beauty for ashes and see every mourning turned into dancing.
Through the Blood of Jesus, it is our time for a forceful turnaround.
As we walk in obedience to God’s Word in this new season, certainly, we shall experience speedy recovery of every loss of the past months and continually walk in miracles, signs and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to keep my eyes on Your promise of wonders. I know you have so much in store for me this year. Indeed through the power in the Blood of Jesus, my portion shall never elude me in Jesus name.
