Though Count Nikolaus Von Zinzendorf was born into a royal family, he spent his lifetime serving God and spreading the Gospel. He was a leader of the Moravian denomination and under his leadership, missionaries were sent out all around the world.

On February 14, 1743, Count von Zinzendorf with his missionary team were returning from the West Indies. As their ship approached the coastline of southern England, a stormy wind relentlessly pushed it toward the jagged rocks jutting from the shoreline.

The passengers and crew huddled below the deck were in fear for their lives. Believing that the ship would soon crash, the Captain of the ship said to Count Zinzendorf, “Within hours, Your Excellency, we will be at the bottom of this ocean. The ship will not survive a crash against that rocky shore.”

Raising his eyebrows in surprise at the stark prediction, Count Zinzendorf spoke confidently above the raging storm. “Captain, within two hours, this storm will be abated, and we will be sailing in calm seas once again.”

The Captain shook his head in disbelief. In two hours, the Captain climbed carefully up the wooden ladder to the deck of his vessel. In wonder, he saw that the winds had shifted, the stormy clouds had parted; there were blue skies and placid seas surrounding the ship on all sides.“Count Zinzendorf,” the captain inquired in awe, “how did you know that we would have this calm sea in exactly two hours?”

“I have had a trusting relationship with Jesus Christ for nearly forty years,” the count responded. “He speaks to me in the quietness of my soul when I pray before Him. This time, He assured me that the storm would end in two hours.” Amazed at Zinzendorf’s extraordinary faith, the Captain accepted Christ as Lord of his life.

It is through God’s guidance, that we can successfully navigate through the storms and dangerous waters of life. In times of uncertainties, we must always look to Jesus. Don’t ever let the direction of outward circumstances, cause you to conclude negatively about your situation.

It doesn’t matter what goes on around you, what matters most is what goes on within you. Therefore always keep your focus on Jesus. As long as Peter saw Jesus, he could walk on the water, but when he began to look at the fierce winds around him, he became afraid; and began to sink.(Matthew 14:30)

To survive the storms of life, look away from what is happening and look at what is written in God’s Word. Study the Word, confess the Word and stand on the promises of God. To be constantly victorious, we must make a decision to spend quality time in God’s Word and prayers.

That is how we can be equipped to become sensitive to the voice of the Spirit and fight the good fight of faith.
As sons of God, we have a major advantage in life; it is the guidance of the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

It is your heritage as a child of God to be led by the Spirit of God. As you listen to Him, He will help you navigate through difficult circumstances and emerge victorious. Today, as you stay committed to following His guidance, no matter how contrary things may seem around you, be assured you will never be defeated, rather you will triumph always and be more than a conqueror!

PRAYER: Lord, Please help me to know that You are always there for me no matter what I may face in life. Thank you for giving me the victory in every situation and causing me to triumph always by the power of the Spirit in Jesus Name.

“The Prodigy” by Amy Wallace is a compelling biography that delves into the life of William James Sidis, who is said to be the most intelligent human that ever lived. William was born in 1898 to Russian immigrant parents in New York City. From a very young age, it became evident that Sidis possessed an astonishing level of intelligence.

As an 18-months child, William James Sidis could already read The New York Times. At the age of eight he could speak fluent French, German, Russian, Turkish, Armenian, Latin, and his native language, English. At 9 years of age, he created a new language called “vendergood,” studied by linguists and declared to be complete, correct, and fascinating.

When he was only 9 years old, he was accepted into Harvard University. At the age of twelve, he gave his first lecture to the scientific community and the press. After graduating cum laude and impressing academics, William began to resent the constant scrutiny of his life that made him feel like a lab rat.

At age 16, he began to rebel against his parents and the government. He refused to finish his law degree and stopped his education. As the press began to report negative things about him, William Sidis changed his name and began to live a low profile life, doing random jobs. He eventually died from stroke in 1944 when he was just 46 years old.

William Sidis died with his great potentials, mostly untapped and locked away within him. Who knows the amazing contributions he could have made to the world, if only he had continued to grow and had fully explored his potentials.

Dr. Myles Munroe once said that the wealthiest spot on this planet are the graveyards, where buried beneath the soil are dreams that never came to pass, songs that were never sung, books that were never written, ideas that were never shared, visions that never became reality, inventions that were never made, and purposes that were never fulfilled.

The truth is, only a small percentage of the billions of people on earth today, will achieve a significant portion of their true potential because only those few are willing to pay the price of growth.

As believers we all carry an enviable destiny within us. Through redemption we are destined to be the light of the world and Jesus said we shall do even greater works than He did. However, to fully manifest this promised greatness, we must work on our spiritual growth and personal development.

The adventure of the believer does not just stop at redemption, we must grow to become spiritual giants conquering great territories for God’s Kingdom. Though the land was promised to the children of Israel, they had to work to possess it (Deut. 11:24).

As we give ourselves wholly to serving God’s purposes, our great potentials will soon manifest and our profiting will appear for all to see [1Timothy 4:15 ].

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for the grace to continually feed on Your Word, so that I can receive the strength I need to grow spiritually and fully manifest the great potentials within me in Jesus Name.

As a child Bill Wilson felt rejected as his parents abandoned him to his maternal grandparents.
As a teen, Bill showed little interest in his academic studies, was rebellious and suffered serious bouts of depression. While undergoing military training, Bill Wilson had his first drink and felt so liberated that he soon became hooked. From then on alcohol controlled him and he would often drink himself to a state of stupor.
He failed to graduate from law school because he was too drunk to pick up his diploma. He ruined a promising Wall Street career because of his constant drunkenness.
Bill was committed to the Hospital for Drug and Alcohol Addictions in New York City four times. However, during his last stay there in November 1934, he was visited by a former drinking buddie who had beaten his drinking habit through the help of Christ. Bill was so inspired by his friend’s testimony that on his hospital bed, he cried out to God for help. As Bill sought God, he had a divine encounter that instantly ended his taste for alcohol. He never drank again for the remainder of his life.
Weeks after his divine experience, Wilson helped another alcoholic, Dr. Bob Smith to also overcome his drinking problem. Later the two men founded Alcohol Anonymous on June 10, 1935.
Over the years, Alcohol Anonymous (AA) became a worldwide organization that helped millions of people overcome alcoholism. In his later life, Bill Wilson gained respect and relevance in the society through his encounter with Christ.

In Joel 2, through disobedience to God, the Israelites had suffered the complete destruction of their entire harvest by swarms of locusts.
But as the nation turned in repentance to God, He promised to make up for the lost years with overflow harvest.
In Joel 2:18-19, God said, “Behold I am sending to you grain, wine and oil, and you will be satisfied.’
Despite our past mistakes and failures, when we turn to God, He can bring a divinely accelerated overflow that will restore lost ground back to us. Such is the power of His grace and mercy. He is indeed the God of the second chance.
Everyone desires to rise to new heights of success but not everyone achieves it due to certain shortcomings and failings. But by turning to God, we receive the strength to triumph over life’s hindrances and limitations. Through God’s grace you can overcome repetitive cycles of weakness to accomplish great things.
Failures and mistakes are the evidence that we need a savior and makes clear what Jesus said in John 15:5, “Apart from me you can do nothing” (NLT).
Without Jesus, life is a battle where men wrestle with unseen evil forces that afflicts them and hinders their progress.
But through drawing closer to Christ we overcome and triumph over life’s troubles..
Indeed through Christ we can do all things.
Therefore to break forth gloriously this year, let us seek Christ with renewed fervency. As we stay strongly connected to God’s Word, His grace will cover our past and our path will keep shining brighter and brighter until we break forth to our preordained heights in destiny.

PRAYER: Lord, I believe You today for a fresh encounter with Your Word that will bring full restoration, divine speed and acceleration in my life and cause me to excel exceedingly throughout this year in Jesus Name.

One of the greatest evangelists in the history of modern Christianity is Dwight L. Moody.
D.L. Moody was a lay evangelist who had no formal theological training and had very little education, yet he was mightily used by God to affect the world.
Dwight Moody was only four years old when his father died and his mother was left to struggle and fend for their family.
As Dwight grew older, he relied on God to help him make it in life.
One day, in 1872, he attended a meeting in Dublin, Ireland and heard the Pastor say “The world has yet to see what God can do with and for and through and in a man, who is fully and wholly consecrated to him.”
Somehow, this statement greatly moved Dwight and took a hold of him. The next Sunday, he went to listen to Charles Sturgeon who was one of the greatest pastors of the time. Moody came to understand that Charles Spurgeon was able to do mighty works in his ministry because of his dedication to God.
That day, Moody took a definite decision that by the help of the Holy Spirit, he also would become wholly consecrated to God. From then on, he began to seek God with great fervency until he had a definite encounter where he was filled with the power to do exploits.
As a result of this encounter, D. L. Moody began to mightily display the power of God in his ministry and eventually ended up as one of the greatest evangelists of the 19th Century..

Everyone God has used mightily has always been a man or woman who made the definite decision to be wholly consecrated and dedicated to God.
It doesn’t matter how ordinary or mediocre anyone’s life may be, the choice to wholly seek God will transform that destiny.
2 Chronicles 16:9 says “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.”
God is always looking out for those whose hearts are fully yielded to His purpose to use them to do exploits on the earth.
It is often said ‘no one knows tomorrow’, but the man that fears the Lord can be certain to end well in life and is guaranteed a glorious future.
Psalms 37:37 says “Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace”.
The man who makes God his greatest priority will live a settled life because seeking God first guarantees additions of every other thing. Surely , God Is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
The truth is that every man is limited to the extent of his spiritual commitment. Therefore to break forth to great heights, we must accept the spiritual responsibility of developing deep spiritual roots.
This requires commitment to a lifestyle of fervent prayers, purity, study of the Word and fellowship with the Spirit.
As we make such a strong connection to God, it will lead us to greater impacts, supernatural breakthroughs and eruptions of power that will elevate us in our generation

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for igniting fresh fire and fervency in me. Please help me to pay the necessary spiritual price so that I can experience an eruption of Your power and miracles in my life in Jesus Name

Gulshan Fatima was born and raised in a prominent Muslim family in Pakistan. At six years old, she contracted typhoid fever and as a result, became crippled. Her father did everything to get her cured but medical doctors declared that her situation was hopeless. He even took her on a pilgrimage to Mecca for healing but to no avail.
After her father died untimely, Gulshan was left without human help and in her grief she wanted to die also. She then decided to call out to Jesus. As she did, she heard a gentle voice say, ‘I won’t let you die. I will keep you alive I am Jesus, son of Mary.’
As Gulshan’s interest in Jesus grew, one amazing night He appeared to her in her room in a blaze of light. He restored her crippled arm and leg and taught her The Lord’s Prayer.
From that time, Gulshan surrendered her life to Christ and has devotedly followed Him as her Lord and savior. Gulshan Esther now lives in Oxford and travels widely speaking about her faith. Her story is captured in the book ‘The Torn Veil’.

Gulshan’s story shows that no matter how paralyzed, stagnated or dead any condition, it is never too late for God.
Yes, it may seem impossible with men, but not with God. God is Almighty and Sovereign and He can instantly change anyone’s story at any time. Therefore if you are facing what looks impossible today, take your eyes off that situation, and begin to believe God for the miraculous. Do not be moved by the complexity of the matter. Refuse to believe the negative medical reports. Jesus never asked anyone for their medical history or their doctor’s opinion, before healing them. It didn’t matter how bad, incurable or difficult any situation, as soon as Jesus appeared, every knee bowed, every demon fled, every disease disappeared and death was conquered.
In Luke chapter 7, Jesus came to the city of Nain and saw the only son of a widow being carried out for burial. He walked over to the coffin and raised the dead boy and returned him alive to his mother.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He can raise you from any form of paralysis or deadness and open to you doors of healing, restoration, increase, favor, and overflowing blessings.
This is what He died at Calvary to purchase for us. By the power in His Blood, He is able to lift us out of every grave, keep our souls us alive and set our feet upon the solid rock [Psalm 30:2-4].

John Bunyan is one of the greatest literary geniuses produced by the Puritan movement in England. His book The Pilgrim’s Progress remains among the most widely read and translated works in Western literature.
Bunyan had little education but he so read the Bible that its words became real to him.
He drew strength from God’s Word to persevere while living at a politically volatile time when it was taboo to preach the Gospel. Bunyan remained fearless and refused to stop preaching even in the face of great opposition.
In November 1660 Bunyan was preaching in a private home when he learned that a warrant for his arrest had been made out. Though warned of the danger, he continued to preach, until officers arrived and arrested him. Bunyan was eventually arrested three times, and spent over twelve years in prison. At any time during those years, he could have secured his freedom by simply promising not to preach. But Bunyan knew God’s calling on his life and so he adamantly refused to compromise his convictions.
Amazingly, he wrote his all-time best seller ‘‘Pilgrim’s Progress’ while serving in prison. Its immediate success and ongoing popularity made it a Christian classic and the second most read book in English literature after the Bible.

Apostle Paul was sharing the Gospel, when he was arrested and put in the prison. But Paul refused to be defeated and depressed by his situation. Rather he wrote over half the New Testament from his prison cells. While the Romans thought they were stopping him, they only ended up helping him to spread the Gospel.
No matter what comes your way, never let it hinder your progress. Always focus on your divine purpose and what is ahead of you. Winners focus on where they’re going to, not what they’re going through.
It has been said that great people are ordinary people with extraordinary amounts of determination. Despite the obstacles on their path they persevere by the grace of God, and press on to victory.
God has put a divine purpose in each of us that is unstoppable, as long as we are following Him.
If perhaps you are facing overwhelming challenges today, stand firm and never let the enemy steal your joy. Keep giving God all the glory even if it looks dark and bleak. Don’t let anything stop you from worshipping the One who has the power to give you victory and deliverance.
The most powerful thing you can do in times of trial is to begin to worship God because worship brings God’s Presence, answers and victory.
James 1:2-4 tells us to count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations. Why so ? Because we have a victorious destiny in Christ: Through Christ we are destined to emerge the winner in every trial.
As long as you are born of God, you are born to win. Surely, this is your year to see breakthroughs and break forth on every side and by God’s grace nothing will stop you from achieving it.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for empowering me to be more than a conqueror over life’s battles. By Your grace I shall emerge the victor not the victim in every challenge. Thank You Lord for giving me constant victory throughout this year in Jesus Name.

Prior to Billy Graham, Rodney Smith preached to more people than anyone in history,
Rodney Smith, better known as Gipsy Smith, was a renowned British evangelist in the early 20th century.
Rodney Smith was born to poor parents and as he grew up he never attended any school. Yet God used him to influence the lives of millions of educated people.
After receiving salvation at the age of sixteen, Rodney taught himself to read and write and began to practice preaching. His beautiful singing voice attracted many people to hear him.
Rodney had a great breakthrough when he was 17 years old. At a Christian gathering, he sang so well that he greatly impressed General William Booth, founder of Salvation Army. William Booth asked him to join his evangelistic work and this opened a big door for Rodney Smith into ministry. He later became an itinerant evangelist and worked with a variety of organizations all over the world. He conducted evangelistic campaigns for over 70 years and became a household name in many parts of the world and influenced the lives of millions for Christ.

Though Rodney Smith was born into deep poverty, all it took was the touch of God’s divine favor to turn his life around.
No matter how disadvantaged or dysfunctional a person’s background, his connection to divinity will bring him out of obscurity.
Certainly, God knows how to turn your adversities into advantages.
When you commit your life and times into His hands, He will convert your ashes into beauty.
He will anoint your head with oil and cause your cup to run over with blessings.
The hindrances placed in the path of your destiny, will only end up propelling you further to greater heights.
The life of faith is not about the absence of problems, but the presence of God in the midst of it all..
As long as Jesus is in your boat, life’s circumstances can never sink you.
You may be a nobody today, but just focus on knowing God and it’s only a matter of time before the world will know and celebrate you. Therefore, let us learn to look beyond obvious challenges and focus on daily drawing closer to God.
Let us keep praising God at all times because He is committed to working everything together for our good.
As you keep giving God top priority today, He will certainly turn your mourning into dancing; your sorrow into joy and cause you to break forth to realms of limitless opportunities and inexplicable promotions.

William Edwin Boardman was a 19th century American pastor, teacher, and author. William Boardman ignited a revival known as the Higher Life movement, which brought many people to a deeper understanding of the committed Christian life.
Interestingly, William Boardman almost missed his calling due to initial disobedience to divine instructions.
Before going into ministry, he was in a business partnership where he had plans of financial success. When he felt God calling him to leave his business and become a full time preacher, it was a difficult decision for him to make. So he told God that he would obey if someone would buy him out. Within a week his partner came to tell him of someone who wanted to buy out his half of the business. William then sold it and went into the seminary to begin preparations for ministry.
However, he never fully let go of his business ambitions and before long, he abandoned his seminary studies and went back into business.
His venture into business was met by one financial tragedy after another. A building he owned burned down, without insurance. A bank failed with most of his funds. As he faced bankruptcy, his wife fell ill and almost died. With all these happenings, William became convicted about his disobedience to God.
Finally he repented and turned his life over to God and recommitted his finances into His hands. As he did so, his life began to regain stability.
After seeking God for months he received the revelation about living a higher life of consecration to God. This he encapsulated in his book titled “A Higher Christian Life.” This book became a major success and sparked a revival that influenced great Christian leaders and impacted many lives globally for Christ.

Sometimes divine instructions may not agree with our own thinking or ideas, but obedience is the master key to our breakthroughs.
In our journey of life, the path of obedience to God is always the safest path to follow. We must not promote pursuit of personal ambition above doing the will of God because it would eventually lead to failures, defeats and tragedies.
It doesn’t matter how hard a man works, if he is working outside of God’s will, all his efforts will end in futility. Because except the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it and except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.[Psalm 127:1]

It is when we walk in obedience to God’s divine instructions, that we will see great manifestations of His power in our lives and endeavors.
Truly, God’s commandments are not grievous, but rather designed for our profiting.
The truth is that whatever plans we may have for ourselves can never compare to God’s greater plans for us.
Perhaps today, God has been nudging your spirit to go in a particular direction, prompt obedience to His instruction will cause you to experience success. God’s thoughts and ways are always higher than ours and as we follow His Word and guidance, we will certainly end up with fruitfulness, abundant blessings and divine multiplications.

PRAYER

Martin Luther is one of the most influential and controversial figures in the history of Christianity. He was a German monk who began the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century.
He saw the need for reformation after observing some wrong teachings, in the Catholic Church to which he belonged. He made a list of 95 theses and on October 31, 1517, nailed them to the door of the Catholic Church in Wittenberg, Germany.
Luther’s action awakened the people to a spiritual revolution and led to a period in history known as the reformation. During this period Christians made drastic changes in their ways of living and many of the wrong practices in the Church were stopped.
This reformation period birthed a new generation of believers who were fervent in spirit and diligent in their work. The new work ethic then led to the development of capitalism, which eventually helped to usher in the industrial revolution. The Industrial Revolution affected the way products were made and distributed. From England the Industrial Revolution spread to other European countries, the United States, and Japan. The Industrial Revolution birthed changes that continue to affect civilization today. Because of it we enjoy public healthcare, transportation, technology, freedom of religion, political democracy etc.

It was the spiritual Reformation that first changed people’s lives and attitudes and prepared the ground for the industrial Revolution that changed the world.
A right spiritual positioning will always attract blessings from Heaven.

In 1 Kings 18:30-39, before the fire could fall, Elijah had to rebuild the broken down altar of God. But after rebuilding it and offering sacrifices on it, the fire of God fell from Heaven and there was a revolution in the land.
Revolution refers to drastic changes. We will experience such definite changes when we become willing to pay the spiritual price of aligning ourselves with God’s will..
It was living right before God that took Joseph from prison to the palace and took David from being a shepherd boy to become the king of Israel. To experience drastic positive changes we need to move up higher in our prayers, study, fasting, praise and sacrificial giving. When we make the necessary adjustments, we will see the miracles we desire. The price of obedience may not be easy, but the harvests will always be worth it. Though weeping may endure for a night, certainly joy comes in the morning. They that sow in tears, will at the end, reap in joy.(Psalm 126:6).
Today as we make the sacrifice to walk in line with God’s Word, certainly we are going to break forth to new realms and experience amazing revolutions.. Our tearful seeds of obedience, will result in fearful harvests of blessings, miracles, signs and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, please show me the necessary changes I need to make in my life to experience a positive revolution and supernatural change of story in Jesus Name.

Leon and Latanya Johnson moved from being homeless to owning five successful companies, through following Biblical principles.
After serving 14 years in the Navy, Leon Johnson started a new career as owner of a car-detailing business. Though he fought hard to succeed, he hardly made any profit. Eventually he and his wife became so financially broke that they lost their home apartment. Being a Christian, Leon sought God through prayers and received the divine leading to follow specific Biblical principles including tithing.

As he obeyed and started tithing, gradually things turned around and they began to make profit and got a new apartment. However, as things got better Leon slacked in his tithing and soon completely stopped.
It was not long before things gradually became financially tight again, until one day Leon cried out to God in repentance.

This time he made a solid decision to be faithful in his Kingdom financial investment. As he kept to this commitment, doors began to open financially. Leon and his wife Latanya so greatly prospered that today they own five successful companies. Among their companies is Medical staffing Solutions USA, which is one of America’s largest healthcare talent ecosystems. In 2023, it was ranked by Inc. magazine as among the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the United States.

Despite past setback and failures, anyone who connects to Kingdom financial investment, will surely prosper; it’s a Biblical principle. In Haggai 1:4-11 God shut the heavens over the people because they had stopped investing in the building of His house. However, when the people repented of their neglect of God’s House and began to build it, God once again opened the Heavens over them and blessed them greatly.

Divine multiplication is inevitable when we follow Biblical principles. Success is not accidental, it is the result of deliberately following God’s divine strategies outlined in His Word. The Word of God is the wisdom of God, and Proverbs 4:7 says ‘Wisdom is the principal thing’. The word ‘principal’ means first in order of importance, rank and value. So, applying the Wisdom of God to our endeavor is the first and most important step we should take. When we give Biblical principles first place, then everything else will fall into place.

The 66 books of the Bible are filled with the wisdom and the genius of God. To ignore the Word of God, therefore is to subscribe to the foolishness of men. God’s Word is a lamp unto our feet; it gives us the discernment and direction to make the right decisions.

Psalm 119:98 says “Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies:”.

Through God’s Word, you become smarter than your competitors.
Therefore, to break forth to higher realms in our operations, we need to get into the Word and start obeying Biblical principles. According to Joshua 1:8, when we meditate constantly on God’s Word and obey it, we will surely make our way prosperous and have good success.

PRAYER: Lord please grant me the grace to obey Your Word and seek first the expansion of Your kingdom. As I do so, I thank You Lord, for opening the Heavens over me and showering me with unlimited blessings in Jesus Name.
