On May 13, 1981, Pope John Paul II was shot multiple times in St. Peter’s Square by Mehmet Ali Ağca. The attack was brutal—bullets struck his body, and for a moment, it seemed his life might end. Yet, by divine mercy, he survived.
After recovering, the pope made a decision that stunned the world—he chose to forgive. He visited Ağca in prison and extended forgiveness, compassion, and love. Over time, he even stayed in contact with the man’s family and later requested clemency for him.
That request was granted, and Ağca was released from his Italian prison, although he was still compelled to serve out the remainder of his sentence in a Turkish prison after being extradited.
After the pope’s visit, Ağca, deeply touched, reportedly converted to Christianity. Following John Paul II’s death in 2005, Ağca was released from prison in 2010. In 2014, he returned to Rome to lay two dozen white roses at John Paul II’s tomb.
Mehmet Ali Ağca’s life was changed forever by the forgiveness shown to him. His heart, hardened by anger and condemnation, was softened by the touch of genuine love and forgiveness.

Though people may not shoot you with a gun, sometimes they do things that hurt just as deeply. Jesus said in Luke 17:1, “It is impossible but that offences will come.” This means offences are inevitable in life; but the question is how do we respond.
Offence is one of the enemy’s most subtle weapons for stealing your peace, weakening your faith, and hindering your walk with God. One way we insulate ourselves from the damaging effects of offences is by releasing love instead.
1 Peter 4:8 (NLT) says that love covers over a multitude of sins.
When we choose to walk in love, we are covered from the destructive effects of other people’s sins. What they meant for evil, God can turn around for our good.
Obeying the love commandment may not always be easy, but it is the pathway to inner peace, healing, and restoration. Romans 12:21 tells us not to be overcome by evil, but rather to overcome evil with good. We are to bless those who curse us and pray for those who spitefully use us.
Ephesians 4:32 says, “be ye kind one to another… forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Just as God has loved and forgiven us, let us extend the same grace to others. As we do, God Himself fights our battles, vindicates us, and elevates us above our enemies.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to walk in love and refuse every trap of offence. Give me the grace to forgive others and to respond according to Your Word, not my feelings. May Your love rule my heart always, in Jesus’ Name.

Abd Al Fadi, founder of CIRA International, was raised in Saudi Arabia within a strict Islamic environment. He was trained from a young age to reject Christians. As a teenager, he admired extremist figures and embraced ideologies that fueled hostility toward the Christian faith.
In 1989, he arrived in America through an international student program. When he was paired with a young Christian couple, he was deeply uneasy about interacting with Christians. However, for several months, this couple welcomed him warmly into their home and lives. They helped him adjust, shared meals with him, and treated him with consistent kindness and respect.
What impacted him most was not just their preaching, but their lifestyle. They demonstrated Christ through their actions.
Over time, through further exposure to Christ’s love, his heart was softened, and he fully surrendered his life to Christ. Though he faced persecution, he remained steadfast in his faith.
Today, Al Fadi leads CIRA (The Center for Islamic Research and Awareness), which he founded in 2010 with the mission to lead Muslims to Christ.

Al Fadi was not changed by arguments or debates—it was love that conquered his heart. Genuine show of Christlike love broke down years of hatred and opened his heart to Christ.
Consistently loving people may cost your time, your comfort, your resources, or your pride—but it is the pathway to true impact..
Love is the best investment you will ever make towards the spread of the Gospel.
People will not know that we are Christians because we wear Christian T-shirts, adorn WWJD bracelets, display Church stickers, or have a fish decal on our cars.
Our show of love is the greatest advertisement of our faith which reflects God’s nature and character through us.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 commands us to ‘do everything in love.”
Doing everything in love means our every interaction with people should reflect love.
When we perform selfless acts of love, it melts the heart, leaves an impression on the soul and makes a statement that remains unforgotten in the mind.
It may not be easy to always love everybody but through redemption, Jesus has given us a new mind that is able to overlook people’s shortcomings and love them selflessly.
1 John 3:16 reveals the true definition of love; Jesus laid down His life for us when we were undeserving of redemption. In the same way, we are called to express love to others through sacrifice.
At the Cross Christ showed us mercy and love we didn’t deserve. Likewise we are to love others unconditionally and do everything possible to break the barriers in their hearts and draw them closer to God

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for Your deep love for me that led You to sacrifice Your life for my redemption. Let Your love flow through me to bless others and draw them closer to You, in Jesus’ Name.

Stormie Omartian is widely known today as a bestselling author and powerful voice in Christian ministry. Her book The Power of a Praying Wife broke records and remained a bestseller for years, impacting countless lives across the world. Yet her journey to that place of influence began in deep brokenness.
As a child, Stormie grew up in a home marked by poverty and severe emotional pain. Her mother struggled with mental illness and often subjected her to harsh treatment—locking her in closets for hours and neglecting her well-being. These experiences left her battling rejection, fear, depression, and a deep sense of loneliness.
Though she later found some success working in the entertainment industry, inwardly she remained empty. She turned to unhealthy relationships and destructive habits, searching for something to fill the void. At one point, overwhelmed by despair, she considered ending her life.
Then everything changed when a Christian friend named Terry reached out to her with genuine love and concern. Through Terry’s continual love and acts of compassion, Stormie encountered the message of Christ.
That love opened her heart to God, and from that moment, her life began to transform until she became a strong Christian. Stormie went on to become a minister of the Gospel who is a blessing to many around the world.

Indeed, simply showing people love can make all the difference in their lives. Terry’s intentional compassion became the bridge on which Stormie walked from darkness to light.
All around us today are hurting people who need our love and encouragement. Many are dealing with unresolved pain, anger, and deep emotional wounds. God brings us in contact with these people to give us the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
Galatians 6:10 says, “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men…”
We do good when we express the love of Christ through our actions.
Love is practical. It may be your listening ear, your kind words, your encouragement, or your willingness to stand by someone in their difficult moment. Love is not just what we say—it is what we do.
When we go the extra mile to show love, we reveal God to the world, because God is love.
Our actions speak louder than our words. When we practically show love it has the power to  transform lives
Today, someone needs to feel the power of God’s love through us. As we intentionally express compassion to others, God will cause His blessings to overflow in our own lives—exceedingly, abundantly above all we could ask or imagine.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to love You wholeheartedly and to share Your love with everyone I encounter. Grant me the grace to express Your love through my words, actions, and daily life, in Jesus’ Name.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu was a South African social rights activist and Anglican bishop who rose to global prominence in the 1980s. He was a courageous opponent of the apartheid government that oppressed South Africa at that time. His impactful work earned him a Nobel Peace Prize in 1984.
During an interview when he was asked by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to identify the defining moment of his life, Desmond recalled an encounter from his childhood. In 1940, at the age of nine, he was walking with his mother along a street in Klerksdorp, South Africa. During that era of apartheid, it was expected that black people would step off the sidewalk to allow white people to pass.
As they walked, a tall white man approached them. Before Desmond and his mother could step aside, the man himself stepped off the sidewalk and tipped his hat respectfully to Desmond’s mother. That man was Trevor Huddleston, an Anglican priest who opposed apartheid.
That simple act of respect left such a deep impression on young Desmond that he decided he wanted to become a priest. Desmond eventually ended up not just a priest, but also a global voice that inspired millions of lives.

“Let love be without dissimulation” (Romans 12:9–10) is another way of saying we should emulate love. That was what Desmond Tutu did—he emulated the love that he saw.
Matthew 5:16 calls us to live in such a way that our lives visibly reflect God’s light, life and nature.
The Anglican priest, Trevor Huddleston simply demonstrated Christlike love and it became a seed that produced global impact.
This is the power of living as a reflection of Jesus.
2 Corinthians 3:2–3 reminds us that we are “epistles… known and read of all men.” People may never read a Bible, but they will read our lives. What they see in us can either draw them closer to God or push them away.
Ephesians 5:1–2 says, “Be ye therefore followers of God… and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us.”
As believers, our daily actions—how we speak, treat others and respond under pressure—carry the power to influence lives.
Therefore today, let us choose to live intentionally and reflect Christ wherever we go.
As we do, our light will shine brightly, and through us, many will come to know and glorify God.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to live as a true reflection of You. Let my words, actions, and attitude reveal Your love to the world. Use my life as a light that draws others into Your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name.

John Newton’s life is one of the clearest pictures of God’s amazing love and grace. As a young boy, he was introduced to God through the tender influence of his mother, who prayed earnestly that he would one day serve the Lord. But after her death, his life drifted far from that path.
Growing up under the harsh influence of his seafaring father, Newton embraced a life of rebellion. He became deeply involved in the slave trade, living in moral darkness and showing little regard for human life. His heart grew hardened, and he seemed far beyond redemption.
Then came a defining moment. On March 21, 1748, while aboard a ship caught in a violent storm, Newton faced the reality of death. In fear and desperation, he cried out to God for mercy. That cry marked the beginning of a transformation.
God answered and delivered him. Thereafter Newton abandoned his former life, surrendered to Christ, and eventually became a minister of the Gospel.
Out of deep gratitude, he wrote the hymn “Amazing Grace,” a testimony of the love that rescued him from sin and gave him a new beginning.

Ephesians 2:4–5 reveals the foundation of our salvation—God’s love expressed through grace. We were not saved because we deserved it, but because God is “rich in mercy” and full of love.
Romans 5:8 declares, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” This means God’s love reached us at our worst and brought us into His best.
It lifted us from shame, set us on the right path, and equiped us to live victoriously. In 2 Corinthians 12:9 God says, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” This means even in times of weakness, Gods grace and love are sufficient and available. He never abandons us, He is always there, working all things together for our good.qq
The experience of God’s love and grace are not meant to stop with us. 1 John 4:11 says, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” Having received grace, we must extend it and love others with Christ like compassion.
And as we share God’s love with others, our lives will continually reflect His glory, blessings and unending goodness.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for Your amazing love and grace in my life. Thank You for saving me, restoring me, and lifting me beyond my limitations. Help me to walk in the fullness of Your grace and to extend that same love to others, in Jesus’ Name.

At the height of his career, Norm Miller appeared successful—wealthy, respected, and influential. Yet beneath the surface, his life was falling apart. He was trapped in a deep addiction to alcohol, unable to function without it. Despite his success, he was heading steadily toward destruction.
After several drunk-driving arrests, his condition worsened. One morning, broken and desperate, he cried out to God, “God, help me!” In that moment, he encountered the love of God in a real and personal way. Instantly, the craving that had dominated his life lost its grip.
That encounter became the turning point of his story. As he began to seek God through His Word and surrendered his life to Christ, transformation followed. His mind was renewed, his habits changed, and his purpose became clear.
The same man who was once headed for destruction was now walking in restoration and impact. He went on to build a thriving business guided by biblical principles and later co-founded the global movement “Iam Second” which has inspired millions to follow Christ.
His life proves that God’s love rescues, restores, and lifts a man from pain to purpose.

God’s love is powerful, redeeming, and transforming. Romans 5:8 declares, “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” This shows that God’s love reached us even in our broken state and delivered us from destruction.
Ephesians 2:4–5 further reveals that “God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love… even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ.” His love took us from death, destruction and dejection and gave us life, hope, and a new beginning.
Having received such love, we are called to reflect it. 1 John 4:11 says, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” This means the love that saved us must now flow through us.
1 John 4:19 reveals a powerful truth: we love because God first loved us. Our love for God and others is a response to the love we have already received.
We express this love by serving others, giving, forgiving, and reaching out to those in need. When we become channels of God’s love, we position ourselves for Heaven’s favor, goodness and unending blessings.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for loving me even when I was lost. Thank You for delivering me from destruction and bringing me into a life of purpose. Please help me in this new month of May, to reflect Your love to others through my actions, words, and service in Jesus’ Name.

Abraham Deng’s life began in crisis. At just six years old, his village in Sudan was attacked by militants. His father was killed, and he was separated from his mother and siblings. With other frightened children, Abraham fled into the wilderness. They wandered for months through forests and harsh terrain, facing hunger, fear, and constant danger.
In the midst of this hardship, a turning point came when an evangelist preached in their camp and Abraham gave his life to Christ.
Abraham eventually walked more than 1,000 miles across Africa with bare feet, surviving journeys that killed many other children who were either eaten by lions, or died of exhaustion , drowning and starvation.
Throughout his ordeal Abraham kept praying to God. A time came when the international community intervened and Abraham was selected among nearly 4,000 “Lost Boys of Sudan” who became resettled in America.
With God’s help, he studied medicine and became a doctor. .After 19 years of separation, Abraham eventually reunited with his mother and siblings who had miraculously survived and were alive in Sudan. Today Abraham uses his skill as a doctor and his resources to help people in Sudan.

No matter how difficult the story, grace will turn it into glory. A genuine connection with God can lift a man from grass to grace, and from low places to his high places.
God’s abounding grace lifts a man out of stagnation and dryness into new levels of relevance and prominence. Grace is not just favor—it is God’s enabling power at work in you, empowering you to overcome every obstacle and rise above every limitation.
Today, we have entered the month of May, the fifth month of the year—a number that represents God’s grace, goodness, and favor. Even the word “May” speaks of possibility, opportunity, and expectation. This means you are stepping into a season of divine openings and new beginnings.
This is your month to move from the back to the front, from lack to overflow. By the power in the Blood of Jesus, this month marks a positive turning point in your life.
As we grow in our obsession with Jesus, we will experience unusual and uncommon blessings. Divine grace will distinguish us, accelerate our progress, and position us for greater levels of favor, anointing, promotion, healing, and divine open doors.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for bringing me into this new month of May. By Your grace, an end has come to every delay, stagnation, and redundancy in my life. Now is my season to arise, shine, and soar higher in Jesus’ Name.

India, with a population of over 1.4 billion people, remains a nation where Christians are a small minority. In the midst of this vast population, one pastor chose to expand Christianity through a simple but powerful strategy of putting love into action.
Dr. Satish Kumar, founder of Calvary Temple, began his ministry in 2005 with just 24 people. Instead of relying on conventional methods alone, he focused on meeting practical needs. He understood that love is most powerful when it is seen, felt, and experienced.
Every Sunday, the church organizes large-scale feeding programs, providing tens of thousands of meals to people from all walks of life. Teams of volunteers rise early to prepare food, ensuring that no one who comes leaves hungry. Beyond this, the ministry established a hospital to provide affordable medical care to those who otherwise could not access it.
Through these consistent acts of compassion, hearts began to open. What started as a small gathering steadily grew into a congregation of over 300,000 people, with thousands added monthly.
Dr. Satish’s approach reveals a powerful truth: meeting people at the point of their need creates a pathway for them to encounter Christ.

We must use every possible expression of love to draw souls to God—including praying for the lost, feeding the poor, clothing the naked, caring for the sick, and preaching the Gospel to all men.
Romans 13:8 declares, “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another.” This reveals that love is not optional—it is a divine obligation placed on every believer. It is a debt we must continually pay.
Love is the fulfillment of God’s law. As Romans 13:10 states, “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” When we walk in love, we align ourselves with God’s nature, because 1 John 4:8 says, “God is love.”
As children of God, His nature of love is our universal identity.
Jesus emphasized this in John 13:34–35, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you… By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples.” Our love is therefore the visible proof of our faith.
Loving souls and winning them to Christ is the most profitable venture any Christian can embark on. While every other investment ends on this earth, soul-winning continues to yield dividends in eternity.
Today, as we come to the end of the month of April, let us become more determined to intentionally pay the “debt” of love to everyone we come in contact with.
As we do so, we place ourselves on Heaven’s eternal payroll and enjoy divine increase on every side.

Lord, I thank You for bringing me to the end of this month. Please grant me the grace to focus on the divine mission of loving souls into Your Kingdom and being a blessing wherever I go, in Jesus’ Name.

In the 19th century, there lived a renowned French chemist named Louis Pasteur. He worked alongside a Jewish doctor named Dr. Felix Ruh. Together, they sought to understand how diseases spread and how they could be treated. At that time, the idea that germs caused disease was still being explored.
Their work took on new urgency when there was a sudden outbreak of a deadly disease called “black diphtheria.” This disease was killing children rapidly. The situation became personal when Dr. Ruh lost his own granddaughter to the disease. Grieved but determined, he set out to find a solution.
On his farm, he conducted an experiment using horses that had been exposed to the disease. One by one, these animals succumbed to the infection and died until only one remained. Surprisingly, this last horse resisted the disease. It endured the fever, fought through the illness, and eventually recovered fully.
Realizing the significance of this, Dr. Ruh extracted blood from the surviving horse and sent it to a hospital where hundreds of children lay critically ill. When the serum was administered, an overwhelming number of them recovered.
Through the blood of the horse that overcame, many who were dying were restored to life.

Two thousand years ago, the Blood of the ultimate Overcomer was shed to save all of humanity from the disease of sin and death. Jesus Christ came to the earth as the visible expression of the invisible God, to die on the cross and deliver us all.
At the cross, for three hours, as darkness covered the earth, all the sins of humanity—past, present, and future—were laid upon Him. He took the wrath of God and suffered for our sins. He went into the grave and to hell, yet through it all, He rose victorious.
He declared in Matthew 28:18, “All authority is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Indeed, all authority and power belong to Jesus today, and He has granted us access to His overcoming power through His Blood.
Because of His amazing love for us, He paid the ultimate price for our deliverance. He washed us from our sins in His own blood and has made us kings and priests upon the earth, to live in dominion and victory forever (Revelation 1:5–6).
Christ died for us to experience a positive change of story; therefore, we cannot continue to live in defeat and oppression. Now is our season to arise in faith, and shine, and move in power, because our victory is guaranteed by the precious Blood of Jesus.

PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for the redeeming power in the Blood of Jesus. I receive grace to walk in the fullness of my redemption. Help me to stand in faith and live in the victory You have already secured for me, in Jesus’ Name.

Florence Nightingale was born into a wealthy British family, surrounded by privilege and opportunity. Yet deep within her, she felt a call to serve humanity. At a time when nursing was looked down upon, she chose that path, defying societal expectations and personal comfort.
During the Crimean War, she encountered wounded soldiers suffering in terrible conditions. They were in crowded hospitals with poor sanitation, and inadequate medical care. Florence found many were dying from preventable infections rather than battlefield injuries.
Instead of turning away, Florence moved by compassion, stepped in and offered her service. She worked tirelessly, day and night, tending to the sick, cleaning hospital wards, and organizing proper care systems. With a lamp in hand, she walked through dark corridors at night, checking on each patient personally, earning her the name “The Lady with the Lamp.”
Her dedication drastically reduced mortality rates and transformed healthcare practices. Yet beyond her achievements, it was her compassion and selflessness that stood out most. She gave herself fully to the service of others.
Her life is a clear example that love is not merely spoken—it is demonstrated through sacrifice, service, and a willingness to meet the needs of others.

Galatians 5:13 reveals that love is expressed through service. We are not just called to believe—we are called to serve one another in love. This is the true evidence of a transformed life.
Jesus modeled this perfectly. In Matthew 20:28, He said, “the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister.” If Christ, our Lord, chose a life of service, then our lives must reflect the same pattern.
The Bible says in Matthew 9:36, “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them…” Likewise, love should move us into action to be of service to humanity. It compels us to care, to give, and to offer a helping hand.
Serving others may require sacrifice—your time, energy, and resources—but this is where true impact lies. Every act of service becomes a demonstration of God’s love.
When you serve others, you become a vessel through which God touches lives and a reflection of Christ’s compassion.
Therefore today, let us choose to intentionally love people and practically impact their lives for Christ.
Certainly our labour of love  shall never be in vain.. The  seeds of love we sow into others will return as harvest of blessings into our lives.

PRAYER:
Lord, help me to serve others with a heart full of love. Deliver me from selfishness and make me a vessel of compassion. Let my life reflect Your love through every act of service, in Jesus’ Name.
