Robert Gilmour LeTourneau ranks among the greatest Christian Businessmen of all time.
He is famous for living on 10% of his income and giving 90% to the spread of the Gospel.

Though he was a school dropout, through divine help, he rose to become the leading earth moving machinery manufacturer of his day. His contributions forever changed the world of road constructions.

R.G. LeTourneau was born to Christian parents and gave his life to Christ at an early age. Due to financial hardship, when he was 14 years old in 1901, he dropped out of school and began working in an iron foundry.
After several other menial jobs, he later discovered his passion for machinery while working as an auto mechanic.
However, by the age of 28, after a failed business, he was jobless and broke.
He jumped at the opportunity to level some land for a wealthy rancher and from his experience at this job he found his mission in life.
LeTourneau then began taking more land leveling contracts. He would scramble to invent machines to speed up the work and keep him from going broke.
In this new business, LeTourneau considered himself to be in partnership with God. At this time, despite his financial difficulties he was able to pay a $5000 pledge he had made to God.

Soon after he did this, God suddenly gave him an unexpected breakthrough and he received divine inspiration to begin manufacturing earth-moving equipment.
RG LeTourneau became one of the pioneers in this field.
His inventions brought him unprecedented profits, and he became immensely wealthy. 70% of the equipment used in World War 2 were manufactured by his company.

His reputation for giving to the Gospel made him to be called “God’s businessman”.
At his death, inscribed on his grave was Matthew 6:33, which said “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Truly, when we seek God and His kingdom first, everything else will be added unto us. It is our degree of commitment in seeking God first that determines our ultimate height in the race of life.
Dedication is the mystery behind distinction. How dedicated you are in serving God, determines how distinguished you will become in life.
Your life does not get better by chance; it gets better by the choices you make. And nothing is more valuable than focus on God in the journey of life.

We must, therefore, focus our lives on what really matters most–which is seeking first God’s kingdom.

Certainly, God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him and whatever labour we invest into
His kingdom is never in vain.

Maintaining God as your focus is what turns you into a focus among men. And we strengthen our focus by meditating upon the Word of God. You cannot experience divine enlargement until you first enlarge your mind set. We will only prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers through knowledge of God’s Word.

It is our depth in the Word that will determine our height in life. Certainly, as we run after God, then everything good will run after us.

PRAYER
Lord, I thank You for granting me the grace to always focus on Your Word and make You my greatest priority in life. I know that when I seek You and Your Kingdom first, certainly, every good thing in life shall be added unto me, in Jesus’ name.

DAILY READING – 1 Corinthians 11:17-34; 2 Kings 5; Obadiah 1

A lighthouse keeper is responsible for tending and caring for a
lighthouse and ensuring the lights are always kept shining.
Because most lighthouses are located in remote, isolated areas on islands and coastlines, it was typical for lighthouse keepers to occasionally go to nearby towns to stock up on their provisions.
December 22, 1839, was a fair, sunny day on the New England coast of North America. The keeper of the lighthouse at Plum Island, Massachusetts, thought he could safely leave the island in his little rowboat, take his wife shopping, and be back before dark.
But while they were away, a wind began to blow. A storm was coming fast. Soon sky and sea fused into a gray, howling mass of rain, foam, and spray. The keeper tried desperately to get back to the island and turn on the lighthouse for incoming ships. But the storm hindered his efforts. That night the lighthouse remained dark.

Near midnight, a ship named ‘Pocahontas’, struggling to find the river and harbor entrance normally signaled by the lighthouse, searched in vain. Instead, the ship hit a sandbar. Its back was broken, and it sank with the entire crew on board.
Just before dawn another ship named ‘the Richmond Packer’, heading for the same port, also came to a wreck, thankfully only one life was lost.
Such stories of accidents occurring on the sea due to lack of light, dots Maritime history. Indeed anytime a light house failed to function and shine its lights, the result is often disastrous.

Spiritually today, it is obvious that humanity is sailing on the sea of confusion without a clear light.
On the News daily, we see this happening as leaders and experts contradict themselves on many crucial global topics.
For instance, the recent controversies surrounding the pandemic, has left many people without a definite direction on what or who to exactly believe.

At such a time, believers can only know the right direction to follow by heeding the light of God’s Word and the leadings of the Holy Spirit.
Anyone who lacks such divine guidance will end up falling into pitfalls of these confusing end-times.

As we watch global events unfold daily, it is obvious that a growing sense of fear and uncertainty is sweeping through the world.
This is so, because spiritually the world is being covered by increasing gross darkness.

Isaiah 60:2-3 tells us that gross darkness shall cover the earth and the people..

The scriptures clearly depict the spiritually dark state of the world today. And this absence of spiritual light is leading to the disasters and shipwreck of many destinies. Because men cannot see their way forward, they are stumbling in different directions..

Indeed absence of light spells danger in the journey of life.
As believers, we must therefore carefully follow the light of God’s Word so as to survive and thrive in these perilous times.
The Word is the light that shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome it.

God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and the light to our path.
As we walk in the light of the Word, we will know which way to go at every crossroad.
Let us therefore continually fill our lives with light through addiction to God’s Word. In addition let us commit to a lifestyle of prayers, fasting and fervent worship.
As we do this, we will continually abide in the light of God’s Presence and have no occasion to stumble in the darkness of these end-times.

PRAYER: Father please help me to keep my light burning always through diligent study of Your Word and fervent prayers. Thank You Lord, for keeping me from falling and guiding me through Your Spirit in these perilous last days in Jesus Name.

Rees Howell was one of the greatest intercessors and revivalists of the 20th century. He was also the founder of The Bible College of Wales.
Rees Howell was used by God to ignite a great revival that spread throughout South Africa, and other regions of Africa.
However before embarking on his journey to Africa, Rees Howell had to overcome a trial of faith.
At this time, the first World War had just begun. Travelling across the ocean during this period was very dangerous, because Germany had declared the waters around Britain to be a war zone, and they targeted every British ship for destruction.
Just two months to the time of Rees Howell’s journey to Africa, the Germans had attacked and sunk a passenger ship named ‘Lusitania’.
Though the situation appeared fearful, yet Rees Howell and his wife were sure they would arrive safely to Africa because they had received a definite word from God to go on the mission.

And so on 10th July 1915, they boarded a ship that would take them to Southeast Africa, in the area now known as Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
Though the passengers and even the ship’s captain were very fearful, Rees Howell continually assured them that God would protect the ship, because God was raking him and his wife to Africa on a mission to serve Him.
And indeed just as Rees Howell had predicted, despite the many enemy U-boats lurking in the dangerous waters, their ship was miraculously preserved and they eventually arrived safely to Africa to ignite a revival across the land.

In Acts 27, Apostle Paul was on a journey across the sea on a divine appointment to Rome to see Caesar so as to be set free from his captivity.
But on their way, a hurricane called Euroclydon arose, with a great storm of wind and waves that beat into their ship.
The storm was so fierce that for 14 days they didn’t see the sun or the stars, leading many in the ship to lose hope of their surviving.
Yet in the midst of the storm, Paul prayed and received a promise from an angel of the Lord that he would arrive safely to Rome, along with everyone else with him on the ship.
By this Word of faith, Paul boldly assured everyone in the ship that they would not be harmed.
Though the storm didn’t immediately stop and their situation even became worse as their ship broke apart, yet Paul held on to God’s Word and it indeed came to pass. He arrived safely in Rome and stood before Caesar, just as God had promised him.

When you are on divine appointment and running with a divine purpose, the enemy often tries to send fearful situations to stop you.
But no matter how tough any situation you may face, God’s Word will always prevail as you stay in faith.
Some of life’s greatest battles come just before the greatest victories. As it is often said, it is darkest just before the day dawns.
Therefore, no matter what may be happening around you, stay focused on what has been written in God’s Word.
God’s Word always stands sure and is greater than surrounding conditions. It will always prevail over every negative situation.
This is why in the middle of life’s storms, always choose to speak faith over fear. Talk strength in the face of weakness, declare health in the face of sickness, speak life in the face of death, talk victory in the face of defeat.

Don’t ever let the storm talk you out of what God has promised you.
There’s a calling upon your life, an assignment God that has ordained for you to accomplish. Understand that the financial troubles, sickness, family problems, etc are all attempts to distract you from your appointment with destiny. But your purpose cannot be stopped by the waves of opposition. Though the howling storms of life may assail, as you stand on God’s Word you shall surely prevail.
Indeed God is our shelter in every storm. He is our refuge and strength and our ever present help in every time of need.

Every step of the way, let’s keep praising God because He is certainly too faithful to fail us, He is too dependable to disappoint us. What His mouth has promised, His hand is able to accomplish in our lives.
God’s promise to us this year will surely be fulfilled. We are certainly ending up as signs and wonders. Let us therefore build up our faith to receive through diligent study of God’s Word, prayers, and praise. Indeed as we hold on to God’s Word, we will surely see the manifestation of His promises.

PRAYER;
Lord, I thank You because I know that surely Your promises will come to pass in every area of my life. Please grant me the grace for diligent study of Your Word so that I can have the faith to stand until my miracle comes in Jesus’ Name.

A recent study in Norway showed that the average I.Q scores among young men in the country was declining.
This was blamed on the introduction of cable television into the country starting from 1981.
Before then, local Norwegian Television stations had focused on producing quality programmes that contributed to public education and learning. During this period there was a noticeable rise in the I.Q of youths in Norway.
However, after 1981, things began to change with the introduction of the cable television industry which provided multichannel viewing services to many households. The cable television which was focused more on entertainment and had flashy programmes like game shows, contributed little to educational learning.
However these flashy contents drew the interests of the youths quickly. As a result of this, Norwegian youths began to spend more time watching cable television and drastically cut back on their daily time spent reading educational materials.
The researchers discovered that the generations of Norwegian youths who had been exposed to trashy TV contents ended up with lower IQs and were more likely to drop out of school.
For each year that these youths watched Cable Television, their average IQ dropped by 0.08 pointsl.

In an academic article published in 2019, the Norwegian researchers concluded by attributing the decline in I.Q. scores among Norwegian youths to the access to cable television, which filled their minds with entertainment and led to a sharp decline in the reading of quality books.

Another research done in Italy, showed similar results.
An Italian study, published in July 2019, showed that Italian youths with a greater exposure to low-brow entertainment programmes experienced a ‘dumbing down’ effect that affected their intelligence.

Perhaps the results of these researches should not be surprising. The law of the mind states that whatever you put in, is what you get out.
Seedtime and harvest will never cease. This is true in every aspect of life.

Indeed what we sow into our minds is what we will eventually reap. As a man thinks in his heart so is he.

Galatians 6:7-8 says “Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that will he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap life everlasting’

It is important that we guard our minds with all diligence and carefully watch the things that go into it.

God has given us the ability to control what we sow and thereby control what we reap in life.
Therefore any fruit you don’t want in your life, desist from sowing the seed.
And if you don’t like what you’re already reaping, then begin sowing the right seed.

Jesus said, by their fruits you shall know
them. The fruits our lives produce is the manifestation of the seeds we have sown in our heart.

Luke 6:45 says “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil”

The harvest of your tomorrow depends on the seed you sow today.

What fills your mind will soon begin to fill your life.
The truth is that our lives will eventually move in the direction of our most dominant thoughts.

This is why Joshua 1:8 tells us that when we meditate always on God’s Word we will become prosperous and have good success.
This is because the Word of God is full of wonder-working power.
As we sow the seed of the Word into our hearts, our lives will blossom into an amazing wonder on the earth.

Luke 8:10-11; says ‘The seed is the word of God’

The seed of God’s Word in our hearts produces the fruit of signs and wonders. God’s Word is pregnant with wonders.

Psalms 119:18 says ‘Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law’..

Indeed there are wondrous things in the Word. There are wonders of divine healing, divine protection, supernatural provisions etc.
As we fill our hearts with the Word, these wondrous things find expressions in our lives.
Indeed when we feed on the incorruptible seed of God’s Word, we become indistructible and a wonder to all.
Therefore instead of filling our hearts with chaff and trash from the worldly media, let us rather commit to filling our minds with the precious seed of the Word of God, so that we can reap a harvest of miracles, signs and wonders..

PRAYER: Lord, Please grant me the grace to fill my heart constantly with Your Word. May I have a renewed desire and appetite to constantly sow Your Word into my heart so that I can reap a harvest of signs and wonders in Jesus Name. .

Max Lucado’s book “And the Angels were Silent” , tells an interesting story of what happened over a century ago in France.
In the 19th century, Louis Pasteur was a famous French Chemist and microbiologist who proved that germs caused diseases. He is best known for the discovery of vaccinations and pasteurization.
Louis Pasteur had a coworker, a Jewish doctor named Dr. Felix Ruh who worked with him on what was then called the “germ theory.”
At that time, a children’s disease called black diphtheria raged and without a known treatment, it became viewed by the public as a death sentence.
When Dr. Felix’s granddaughter died of the black diphtheria, he was heartbroken and became especially determined to find a cure.
The idea of combating germs was still just a theory at this time, so Dr. Felix often invited scientists, doctors and nurses to watch his experiments.
In a laboratory in his farm, he embarked on an experiment with horses to see if any could overcome the disease. He swabbed twenty horses’ nostrils, tongues, and throats with the germs that had been cultured with “Black Diphtheria.”
One by one the horses began to die until there was only one horse left. Believing the last horse would also die, the other scientists and doctors all gave up and left.
But Dr Ruh remained with his assistant and watched the horse throughout the night. Soon the fever of the horse began to break and Dr. Ruh watched as the horse fought off the germs and by the next day, it was standing and eating as if nothing had ever been wrong.
At this point, Dr. Ruh killed the horse and extracted all of the blood from this animal that had overcome the disease, and rushed to the municipal hospital and went into the ward where three hundred babies lay, segregated to die from the “Black Diphtheria.” With the blood of the horse, they forcibly inoculated everyone of the babies. Apart for 3 babies that died, the other 297 babies all lived and recovered completely.
These children were saved by the blood of the horse that had overcome the disease.

2000 years ago, the Blood of the ultimate Overcomer was shed to save all of humanity from death.
Jesus Christ came to the earth as the visible expression of the invisible God, to die on the cross and deliver us all.
At the cross, for three hours as darkness covered the earth, all the sins of humanity, past, present, and future were all placed upon Him.
He took the wrath of God and suffered the ultimate punishment of separation from His Father. He went into the grave and to hell and yet through it all He came out victorious.
He declared in Matthew 28:18 “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Indeed all authority and power belongs to Jesus today. And He has granted us access to His overcoming power through His Blood. Jesus overcame death, the grave and hell for us and because He lives we shall live also.
His death has made the ultimate difference in our lives. Through the power in His Blood we can now live in dominion and victory.

Revelation 1:5-6 says ‘..Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen”.

The purpose of Christ’s death was to wash us from sin in His Blood and elevate us to be kings and priests.
He didn’t die for us to remain in the same spot. He became poor so that we, through His poverty might become rich. Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses so that by His stripes we can be healed.
The price of His Blood covers every stretch of our human needs. Indeed He has paid the price for it all.

Therefore we cannot continue to live in defeat and oppression. Today, do not fold your hands and watch the enemy oppress your life, your family, business, career, etc. The power to overcome has been given to you. And it is time to begin to release that power against every harassment of the enemy.
All we need to overcome and excell in life has been made available through the Blood of Jesus. But we need the depth of knowledge of God’s Word to access this redemptive package.

Indeed, it is when we come to Jesus through His Word, that we can truly know the greatness of the power He has given us to always overcome in life.

DAILY READING; • 1 Corinthians 8; 1 Kings 22; Amos 6

One night in November 2012, Habila Adamu, who was a Christian businessman in Northern Nigeria, saw a group of men near his home. At first he thought they were soldiers on patrol, but when he saw their robes and AK-47 rifles he realized they were Islamic militants
These men forced their way into Adamu’s home. With his wife and seven years old son looking on, the men asked Adamu to recant his Christian faith. When he refused, they asked whether he was prepared to die for his belief.
Adamu found that even at the peril of death, he could not deny Christ. Strangely, at that moment he said he found himself feeling unafraid.
Realizing that he was not going to change his mind, they shot him point blank in the face.

As the bullet pierced his neck, Adamu fell on the ground, and felt himself dying. The men stomped on him twice and then left the house, leaving him for dead.
Mustering his last strength, Adamu let his wife know that to live is Christ and to die is gain. After that he slipped out of consciousness.
His wife ran outside to find help from fellow members of the Christian community – only to find that the militants had gone on a rampage, attacking other people.

Scared, she ran back to the house and tried her best to stop her husband’s bleeding.
Early the next morning, she was able to transport him to a nearby medical center. But the doctors there told her that there was no point in treating Adamu because he had lost too much blood. They believed he would soon die.
Not giving up, she took him on the long journey to Jos University Hospital. There, doctors funded by the non-profit organization, Voice of Martyrs were finally able to treat him.
God intervened and miraculously Adamu survived. His condition gradually stabilized and he was discharged about two weeks later.
During his time in the hospital, Adamu met the American senator,, Chris Smith, who was on an official visit to Nigeria. He invited Adamu to America to share his experience with the American government.

Almost a year after the shooting, Adamu travelled to America and told his story to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He was also invited to the White House.

Adamu not only survived the ordeal, but God made his testimony to be heard internationally. His surviving the close range shooting was a miracle that became a wonder to many people.

Certainly, we are in the days where we must have a firm resolve to stand for Christ no matter the cost. These are the days of trials and temptations where different situations will come to test your belief.
You may not have a gun physically put to your head, but the enemy will bring situations that will attempt to shake your faith and shift your resolve.
But no matter the severity of any trial, settle it in your mind that nothing will ever make you turn away from God.
Nothing this world has to offer is worth losing the blessed hope of Heaven.

In these last days, do not be surprised by the fiery trials that may sometimes come your way. Jesus said everyone shall be salted with fire [Mark 9:49].

Your own test may not come with a gun, but you can be sure that situations will come that will drastically test your stand in Christ.
However always remember that we are destined to be more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.
Therefore never become intimidated or swayed by the threats of the enemy. The greater One lives in us and He has promised that as we walk through the fire and water, He will be right there with us.
He was in the fire with the three Hebrew boys when they refused to bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s threat.

They had told Nebuchadnezzar “Our God is able to rescue us from the fire. But even if He doesn’t, we still won’t bow,’.
When they were thrown into the fire, to the king’s amazement, the boys were not only unharmed but a fourth man joined them in the fire.
The Lord who was with them in the fire, ensured they came out victoriously.

In the same way Christ will be with us in every trial of fire to ensure our victory.
And after we have been tried we shall certainly come forth as gold. [Job 23:10].

However, to stand strong, we must daily build up our faith through a lifestyle of diligent study of God’s Word and fervent prayers. This is the foundation of our spiritual experience. If we are not connecting with Heaven, it will be impossible for us to withstand in times of trials and temptations.
But when we constantly feed on the Word, we will receive an impartation of faith that will help us to always overcome the world.

As we continue to stand for Christ and refuse to compromise our faith, He will indeed deliver us from every trial and temptation and turn us into a wonder to the world.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to daily build up my faith through in-depth study of Your Word. Through the impartation of strength and faith by Your Word, I know indeed that I shall surely triumph in every trial and receive a testimony from every test in Jesus Name. .

DAILY READING – 1 Corinthians 7:25-40; 1 Kings 21; Amos 5

On Friday, June 26, 2015 the United States Supreme Court handed down a decision that legalized same-sex marriages in their nation.
This decision seemed to have opened the door for all sorts of other marriages to begin springing up. In the News, there have been stories of people marrying their pets and other animals.
In 2019, many major News outlets reported the story of a former model, Elizabeth Hoad, who married her dog on live T.V. After 4 broken-off engagements and over 220 unsuccessful dates, she had decided she couldn’t find the right man, and so chose to marry her dog.
There have also been other stories of people marrying cats, cows, dolphins, and even frogs.

Some others have chosen to marry inanimate things.
In 2017, there was media reports of a woman named Carol Santa, who got ‘married’ to a building. She married the Santa Fe train station in San Diego, California. She said she had been in a ‘relationship’ with the train station since she was nine years old. After marrying the station she made the station’s name her surname. Every day she takes a 45 minute bus ride to the station to spend some time with the building.
There have also been other reports of people marrying their duvet, briefcase, tree, train, chandelier, fence etc.

Certainly, today the world is living in confusion, where sin and perversion seems to be elevated, while truth is trampled upon.
This is certainly one of the glaring signs of the end-times.
Living in such a world where there seems to be no absolute truth, our guide and source of clarity remains the Word of God.

God’s Word is an anchor that holds us steady and upright as the various winds of ideas and doctrines swirl around us.
It has held true throughout the ages and will always be right even when everything else is wrong.
With the world around us drowning in confusion, the Word sets our feet on a solid foundation.

Christ alone is able to keep us from falling in these perilous times. [Jude 24].
Through His Word we are kept and preserved even as the winds of chaos howls in the world.

His Word remains our solid anchor especially as the pressure mounts on believers to compromise the Bible’s standard and embrace the liberal thinking of modernity.

But the truth is that no level of civilization can ever make the Bible to become outdated.
The Bible contains unchangeable truth that has transcended the ages and continues to transform lives today.

No matter the cost or the consequence we must continue to stand for Christ and let His Word be our standard of living.
In our families, offices and society, we must always elevate the Word of God above the ways of the world.

Never allow external pressures or influences cause you to compromise your faith. Following the ways of God may seem unpopular, but it is the narrow way that leads to life. The broad way of the world may seem easy and enjoyable, but in the end it leads to destruction.
Refusing to live like the world and choosing to live for God may seem hard initially, but always remember that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
We can never make God first and become last.
As we continue to seek Him first, certainly every other thing will eventually be added unto us.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always stand for the truth of Your Word at all times and in all situations. Lord, please always uphold me by the Word of Your power and grant me the grace to never compromise my faith no matter the trial or temptation in Jesus Name.

Through the ages, the enemy had viciously fought the availability of the Word of God to mankind.
Many of the people who worked to translate the Bible into simple languages and make it available to everyone, did so at a great cost. Many paid with their own lives.

One of these was John Hus. He was a catholic priest who lived in the 14th century. His life was so dramatically impacted by God’s Word that it moved him to cry out for reform in the Church..He advocated a return to the authority of the Scriptures as the sole source of faith and doctrine for the Christian Church. He categorically stated that Christ is the only Head of the church.
For this, he was branded a heretic and was excommunicated. He found refuge outside of the city, where he continued to preach, write, and study.

In 1414 he was arrested , given a mock trial without the benefit of an advocate, and condemned to death as a heretic. He was kept in prison for seven months before he was brought forth to be burned. As Hus stood before the stake he said, “In the truth of the Gospel which I have written, taught, and preached, I die willingly and joyfully today.” Then the fire was kindled, and he was burned to death.
John Hus was killed for making the Bible easily available to men. Besides John Hus, other Bible translators as Wycliffe, and Tyndale had also paid with their lives.
Today, because of these great men who willingly died for the Gospel, we can have free access to the Bible.

Having the Bible so easily available, let us always remember the great price that has been paid for it to be so. We must therefore value the precious gift the Bible is to humanity. It is the very Word of God existing among us.
The Bible is the only book which contains the actual words of God. More than 3,000 times in the Bible you will find “thus saith the Lord’, with the very words of God written down. This is God’s direct communication to humanity.

This is why we should approach the Bible with reverence, knowing it contains the living Word of the Living God. These are words that can transform us, empower us and grant us continual victory in life

Through His Word God has given us the light that will guide us into the great destiny He has prepared for us.

God has good plans for every of His children, but failure to follow His Word is what leads to missing God’s plans and purpose..

In Jeremiah 29:11 God says ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.’

Indeed God has an expected end in mind for us. But we have to follow His Word to get there.
As we study His Word daily and obey the leading of the Spirit, it is only a matter of time before we arrive at our destined place.

It is God’s desire to give us health, healing, power, prosperity, joy and every good thing in life, but the path to it all is in His Word.
Why the enemy fights so hard to keep men away from God:s Word is to deny them access to God’s good plans.

No believer can arrive at greatness without obedience to Scriptural instructions.
As long as we walk in line with God’s Word, we will always have the victory . As we remain constantly daily connected to the Word, God will always cause us to triumph.

We can never understand our times, seasons and reasons behind them except we come to the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to unravel truth to us.

When you begin to develop a culture of total regard for the Word, the Spirit of God will open up its content to you with depth of revelations you never imagined. It will be the road map to your glorious destiny, it will take you to heights you never imagined in life.
Let us therefore from today, begin to approach the Bible with a renewed sense of value and appreciation for this great gift God has given to humanity.

PRAYER: Lord, please as I study Your Word, may my life begin to manifest tangible benefits. Through the power in Your Word may I indeed begin to see wonders without number in Jesus Name.

The Library of Congress in Washington DC is the largest library in the world and oldest cultural institution in America.

The library of Congress has a vast holding that includes more than 32 million books, more than 61 million manuscripts, over one million newspapers from the last three centuries, over five million maps, six million pieces of sheet music, more than 14 million photos and prints and one of the only four perfect vellum copies of the Gutenberg Bible in the world.
All these are contained in approximately 530 miles of bookshelves.
Each working day the Library receives some 15,000 items and adds more than 10,000 items to its collections.
Yet among all these volumes of books in this library, only one book can lay claim to being alive and powerful. That is the Bible.
The Bible, which contains the word of God, is unlike any other book in any library. The Bible is the oldest and most mysterious book in existence.
Unlike the other literary works, the Bible was not written by man, but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through different authors who lived in different generations and in diverse regions of the world.
The Bible remains the most popular book of all times and the most widely distributed, with printed numbers running into billions. In addition to the printed copies, today, the Internet and digital media also make available diverse versions. For instance, YouVersion, a Bible app, has been translated into 799 languages and downloaded over 200 million times to date!

Indeed the Word of God is alive and powerful.
As believers we must never underestimate the spiritual asset God has made available to us today through the Bible.
The Words in the Bible are loaded with power. The Bible holds the answer to every of life’s question, it offers solution to every problem and shows the way out of every predicament.
The Word is God’s master plan for His people, it is our manual and road map to life.
Certainly no other book in the world can ever compare to the Bible.
News articles may inform us, excellent well written novels may motivate us, poetry may captivate us, but only the living, active, Word of God can change us, empower us and transform us.

To an ordinary man, the Scripture may be made up of stories, however to the redeemed, the Bible is made up of life-changing mysteries.
It is our light in the darkness, strength in weakness and comfort in sadness.
Everything we need for life and godliness is inside the Bible.
However, no man can gain access to the wonders in the Word except by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible contains God’s success secrets. However, it is the revelation of the Spirit that unveils these secrets and shows us how to reap their benefits.

To receive revelations from the Word, our spirit-man needs to be actively alive. We must come up spiritually to the place where we are able to see what the Spirit of God shows to us.

In Revelation 4:1, God said: “…Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”

We cannot see the mysteries of the Word, or receive revelations while we are spiritually on the floor. As long as we are carnal or fleshly, we cannot access the depths in God’s Word.
There is therefore a call for purity and sanctification and spirituality to enable us hear what God is saying.

For any believer to triumph in the world today, there must be genuine attention given to God’s Word.
As we diligently listen to the Word and observe to do what it says to us, certainly, God will set us up on high above all nations of the earth and cause His blessings to chase us down and overtake us. (Deuteronomy 28:1-7)

PRAYERS;
Father, I thank You for the grace to sit down in Your Word to locate that answers to the issues of my life. Thank You Lord for enabling me to move away from carnality and to move up higher spiritually to the place where I can receive revelations from Your Spirit in Jesus Name.

Psalm 22:3 ‘But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.’

DAILY READING – • 1 Corinthians 5; 1 Kings 18; Amos 2:1-3:2

On August 30, 1963, John F. Kennedy became the first U.S. president to have a direct phone line to the Kremlin in Moscow. A “hotline” was designed to facilitate communication between the American president and the Soviet leader.
The establishment of this hotline became necessary because due to delays in communication, the U.S. and U.S.S.R had come dangerously close to all-out nuclear war.
This happened when U.S intelligence discovered that the Soviets had planted missiles on the island of Cuba, capable of launching nuclear warheads into the U.S.
The highly tense diplomatic exchange that followed was plagued by delays and frustrations and in the face of the perceived threat, the U.S almost launched an attack against the Soviet Union. This could have begun the third world war.
Eventually, Presidents Kennedy and Khrushchev were able to resolve the crisis peacefully and both signed a nuclear test-ban treaty on August 5, 1963.
However fears of future “misunderstandings” led to the installation of a telephone hotline between the two leaders.
This hotline was a red phone which was to be used only in emergencies. What it meant was that anytime the red phone rang, it immediately got attention and was treated with highest priority.

As believers, we have a hotline to God.
There is a sound that rings in Heaven that always gets immediate attention. This is the sound of praise.
Praise is God’s hotline, it always compels His Presence.
If we need urgent intervention from God, then praise is our access.
Any situation that will require God, will always require praise!

Indeed Praise, is the surest way into God’s presence.
We can pray amiss but we cannot praise amiss.
While prayers may sometimes be delayed, praise cannot be delayed.
From Daniel 10, we saw how the angel bringing answers to Daniel’s prayers was delayed by the prince of Persia for 21 days.
However, answers to Praise cannot be delayed, because it is God Himself that comes down to respond to our call. And when God arises, nothing and no one has the capability to stop Him.

In Acts 16, Paul and Silas were about to be executed. It was a desperate situation and they needed God’s immediate intervention.
They first prayed and when there seemed to be no immediate answer, they switched to praise, and God answered them instantly. God came down in an earthquake that shook the prison’s foundation and broke every chain holding them bound. [Acts 16:25- 26]

Any time you need God’s urgent attention, switch to praise.
If you are facing complex battles that appear mightier than your strength, and tougher than your wisdom, then invite God in through high praises.
If you are faced with a crisis situation, always quickly switch to praise. As you stay in praise, God’s Presence comes to create a spiritual force field around you that halts every demonic operation. Indeed as God steps in, every enemy will be forced to step out.
Praise always gets God’s immediate attention because praise is God’s exclusive habitation [Psalm 22:3].
In Psalm 114, we saw how through praise, Israel made God their sanctuary and He cleared every obstacle on their path and led them to the promised land.

To arrive at our destiny of wonders this year, we must therefore engage God’s Presence, which is the source of all wonders. Exodus 15:11 tells us that God is fearful in praises, doing wonders.
When King Jehoshaphat was faced with a battle he couldn’t handle, he told God in 2 Chronicles 20:12 ‘For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon You..’.
When they switched to praise, God ambushed their enemies and gave them the victory.

The mysterious operation of the weapon of praise is what guarantees us speedy victory in every battle of life.
However it takes an understanding of the Word to enable us praise adequately.
Let us therefore continuously feed on God’s Word to receive the grace to continually give Him high praises, so that we can be ushered quickly into our high places this year.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to constantly feed on Your Word so that I can receive the faith and grace to praise You always.
As I praise You, I know that I shall be ushered into realms of unlimited signs and wonders in Jesus Name.
