Dr. Charles Mutua Mully is today celebrated worldwide as a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and the founder of Mully Children’s Family (MCF), a Christian organization dedicated to transforming the lives of abandoned and oppressed children. But his story began in deep poverty and pain.
Born in 1949 in Kenya, Mully was the youngest of 10 children. His father, an alcoholic, left the family so destitute that when Mully was just six years old, his parents abandoned him to fend for himself as a street beggar. He wandered for years, rejected and hopeless, until as a teenager, he walked 44 miles to Nairobi. There, he begged until he was taken in by a wealthy family and later employed in their agricultural company. Around that same time, Mully gave his life to Christ and this decision to live for God changed the course of his life. He rose through the ranks, later started his own company, and became a millionaire.
When he felt God stirring his heart to rescue street children he obeyed and began taking in abandoned children. Within six years, over 300 lived with him. In 1989, he founded MCF, now home to over 3,500 children. What began as one man’s decision to honor God became a movement that has blessed thousands.

Scripture says as long as King Uzziah, sought the Lord, God made him prosper (2 Chronicles 26:5).
When we put God first, He not only blesses us but also makes us a blessing to others.
Prosperity is not merely about riches but about living a life that honors God and blesses humanity.
Genuinely serving God means using what we have—our time, our gifts, our resources—for His purposes. It means remembering that everything we own belongs to Him.
Isaiah 58:6–7 reminds us that true spirituality includes breaking the chains of oppression, feeding the hungry, and sheltering the homeless. Every act of kindness done in reverence to God becomes a seed that produces lasting impact. Like Mully, when we pour into others, Heaven pours back into us.
You may not have millions, but you can honor God with what you have. A word of encouragement, a meal shared, or time spent helping the needy can be the spark that changes a destiny. When we water others, God ensures we are watered also.
Today, as we consciously seek God’s will above all else, certainly our lives will overflow with glory, peace, purpose and abundant provisions.

PRAYER: Lord, grant me the grace to honor You with my time, resources, and choices. Help me to become an answer to someone’s prayer. Thank You because as I put You first, You will prosper me in all things, in Jesus’ Name.

Centuries before the invention of wall clocks, wristwatches, or mobile phones, people still felt the relentless march of time—but they measured it differently. One of the most fascinating tools of the ancient world was the water clock, used as far back as Babylon in the 16th century B.C. and perfected by the Greeks.

The device was simple yet profound: a clay or bronze bowl filled with water that dripped steadily from a spout at the bottom. The inside of the vessel was etched with careful markings. As the water trickled away, each drop represented moments slipping into eternity, never to be recovered. By simply glancing at the lowering water level, people could measure how much time had passed—even in the dark of night or under cloudy skies when sundials failed.

But beyond its practical use, the water clock was a silent preacher. Every drop whispered: “Time is moving. Use it wisely.” Just as the bowl could never refill itself without deliberate effort, so too the hours of our lives drain away, never to return.

If ancient people were so conscious of time , how much more should we, as end-times saints be sensitive concerning our current times and seasons.
In these last days, we must use our time on earth judiciously, focusing on the race before us and the accomplishment of what God has called us to do.

Psalm 90:12-17 says ‘So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

As the end of the age quickly approaches, we must use the little time that is left wisely. Eternity is counting. You may delay, but time won’t. What we do now for the Kingdom of God is what will matter most in eternity. Top on the priority of our time investment is our relationship with God which is the very bedrock of our existence. Time spent with God helps us to focus rightly on the necessary things that need to be done. It is while in God’s presence that we receive specific instructions on what to do. And His instructions lead to our distinction in life.
In these end-times, we must be deliberate in redeeming time because the enemy has sent out many weapons of mass distraction to squander people’s time.
Ephesians 5:16 says “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
One certain way to redeem time is to bless the Lord at all times (Psalm 34:1).
Through living with gratitude , we place our lives and times in God’s Hand. And what we commit into God’s hands He is able to keep.(2 Timothy 1:12).
When we are thankful and bless The Lord continually at all times, He sees to it that our time on earth is used to His glory.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to begin to make good use of my time. Let Your praise and obedience to Your instructions be always top priority for me in Jesus’ Name.

The unauthorized translation of the Bible into English was banned by the Roman catholic church in 1408. At that time it became illegal for anyone to read the Bible without license from a bishop. The penalty for defaulters was death.
But a man named William Tyndale decided to defy this ban. He translated the Bible from Hebrew and Greek into English, making the Bible accessible to the common people. In 1535 he was arrested and sentenced to die a heretic’s death: His alleged crimes were disagreements with the Catholic Church’s teachings and his English-Bible translations.
Just before he died, on October 6, 1536 he cried out his last words, asking God to “open the eyes” of the then king, Henry VIII, to allow people in England to have access to their own Bibles. His prayer was answered within a year. Miraculously, the law was changed and the Bible became accessible to the common man. From then on, people were free to read the Bible without the penalty of death.
Today, 90% of the King James Version of the Bible and 75% of the Revised Standard Version are from the translation of the Bible into English made by William Tyndale.

Remarkably, Tyndale risked his life to honor God and spread the Gospel. He stood up for the truth and allowed his light to shine in the darkness. He could have lived a ‘normal’ life without upsetting the authorities, yet he chose the opposite for the good of humanity. Today every one has access to the English Bible because Tyndale paid a great price. We may not be required to die for what we believe but it is paramount as Christians that we be resolute in standing for our faith.
Wherever we go let us shine the light of the Gospel. There are people in darkness. Many people are confused by diverging messages in the world and they need a beacon of light in their darkness. Do not hide your light. Speak forth the truth of God’s Word to shatter the darkness in men’s hearts.
Use every possible opportunity to preach the Gospel. Don’t sit on the fence, knowing the truth and yet doing nothing to reach the dying world around you with the Gospel. Life is about taking sides, it is dangerous to walk in the middle of the road.
Be radical for Jesus, Proclaim your faith boldly, let your light shine for men to see. In all that you do and say, let it be clear you represent God.
However, to live a life of such conviction, there is a need to spend time in God’s Word until you are filled and controlled by faith.
You cannot impact your world until you have first been imparted by God’s Word. It is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
As our hearts are dominated by God’s Word, we will go forth and dominate our world, doing exploits for God’s Kingdom. This year, by God’s grace, nothing will hinder us from shining our lights and manifesting God’s glory to our world.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to shine my light brightly before men by preaching your Word in season and out of season. Today, I receive the boldness to proclaim your Word with power wherever I go. Please help me to commit to walking in faith, so that I can greatly impact the world around me in Jesus’ Name.

AUGUST 22: SEEKING LIFE’S TRUE RICHES!

Harland David Sanders, grew up in a Christian home where his mother prayed that her children would serve the Lord. But as he got older, Sanders drifted far from those early foundations. Hot-tempered and stubborn, he constantly fell into fights and lost jobs due to insubordination. He sought to practice as a lawyer but ruined his career after fighting with a client in court. He worked in insurance but was fired. His venture into running a filling station ended in a gunfight with a competitor.
At age 50, he opened a restaurant, developing his famous recipe for fried chicken. Yet even that collapsed in failure, leaving him financially ruined by 65. Undeterred, he tried franchising his chicken recipe. After countless rejections, his persistence eventually paid off, and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) grew into a global enterprise. Wealth and fame followed—but Sanders later admitted he still lacked peace.
It wasn’t until age 77, after a lifetime of ups and downs, that he finally surrendered fully to Christ. Reflecting on his life, he said, “There’s no use being the richest man in the cemetery when you can’t do any business in there.” Near the end of his life, Sanders testified that his salvation was his greatest wealth and achievement.

True success is not found in money, possessions, or fame—it is found in genuine relationship with God. Many people chase riches, but Proverbs 10:22 reminds us: it is only the blessing of the Lord that makes rich without sorrow. Every other form of wealth, without Christ, leads to emptiness and regret.
We live in a world obsessed with success, where people are applauded for their achievements even if they compromise their character. Yet Scripture makes it clear: what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? (Mark 8:36).
To honor God means placing Him above ambition, money, or recognition. It means refusing to sacrifice righteousness for temporary gain. When we reverence the Lord and align our lives with His Word, we secure blessings that cannot be stolen—peace, joy, divine favor, and eternal life. True wealth is walking with God and being counted faithful in His eyes.
As you press forward in life, keep your priorities right. Pursue excellence, work hard, and build wisely, but let your first pursuit always be God. When you honor Him above all else, He will honor you with true blessings that overflow into every area of your life.

PRAYER
Father, please grant me the wisdom to seek You above all else. May I never compromise my relationship with You for temporary gain. Thank You, Lord, for overflowing my life with Your abundant blessings, peace, and joy as I honor You in all I do in Jesus Name.

AUGUST 21:MADE BETTER BY THE FIRE.

1 Peter 1:7

In the early 1940s in Australia, a practice started that was meant to stop the serious outbreak of a fatal disease spread by rats in sugar cane. Farmers began to intentionally set whole sugar cane fields on fire to burn off the diseases and also destroy the useless dead parts of the sugar cane. To their pleasant surprise, the farmers discovered that burning the fields before harvest increased the yield of sugar from the sugar canes and improved the overall quality. Since then, burning the sugar cane fields has become standard practice among Australian farmers..
So around harvest time, it is common to see a whole field of sugar cane burning with fire, with flames rising into the sky and smoke stretching for miles. To the untrained eye, it looks like disaster—but for the farmers, it is a carefully planned and necessary process.
As farmers set fire to the fields, rats, snakes, and insects that hide in the cane are destroyed. The fire also burns off deadly disease threats. Dead leaves and the outer husk of the stalks, are consumed, leaving behind only the strong, juicy core of the sugar cane. To the farmers, what seems destructive is actually beneficial and makes harvesting easier because the cane is cleaner and lighter. The fire never destroys the cane; it simply removes what is useless so the true sweetness can emerge.

In the same way, trials may appear destructive, but they end up refining and preparing us for greater glory.
Gold is precious, but until it passes through the refiner’s fire, it does not reveal its full worth. Likewise, every child of God carries an enviable destiny, which must be refined through diverse challenges for the true value to shine forth. Just as the fire does not consume the sugar cane but brings out its sweetness, trials are not meant to consume you—but rather to refine you.
When we honor God by standing firm in faith through trials, He turns what the enemy meant for evil into our testimonies of glory. Fiery trials may look intimidating, but they are only preparing you for praise, honor, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
Today, if you are walking through a trial do not despair. The fire is not there to destroy you but to burn off the chaff and make your life a sweet fragrance to God and a blessing to others.
Stay in the Word and walk in obedience to God and you shall emerge victorious..
Job declared, “When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). Likewise you are coming forth better from every trial. What the enemy designed to break you, God will use to build you. The shaking, the pressure, the fiery process will all end up working together for your good and the manifestation of greater glory.

PRAYER
Lord, please grant me the grace to daily draw closer to You through Your Word. By Your grace, in every trial, I will come forth better, sweeter, stronger, and wiser than ever before, in Jesus’ Name.

AUGUST 20: DELIVERED BY THE BLOOD

In 2015, terrorists attacked Garissa University College in Kenya. Amidst the gunfire and chaos, one young Christian student, Everlyne Muthoni, experienced a supernatural escape. Awoken at 5:30 a.m. by gunshots, she left her room in confusion, while her three roommates who remained behind were later killed.
The attackers lured students out by promising safety, only to shoot them. Sensing danger, Everlyne slipped away unnoticed into an empty room and hid in a wardrobe. Miraculously, though she was nursing a terrible flu, she did not sneeze or cough. She prayed, texted her father, and asked for intercession. All day, as terrorists went from room to room killing Christian students, none entered where she was hidden. By evening, after a shootout with Kenyan soldiers, the terrorists were finally defeated. Everlyne emerged from her hiding place, unhurt.
147 students lost their lives that day, most of them Christians. Yet Everlyne’s life was miraculously preserved and exempted in the massacre.

We live in a world filled with increasing evil, but God has not left us without protection. It’s only through lack of knowledge that God’s people are sometimes destroyed.
God has provided a sure covenant of deliverance for His children. We have been given the power to overcome the enemy and his agents. Revelation 12:11 declares, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
Scripture also makes it clear that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them (Psalm 34:7).
In these perilous times we must activate the
Divine protection covenant and consciously always stay under the cover of the Blood of Jesus.
In Exodus 12, the Israelites were instructed to mark their doors with blood. The destroying angel “passed over” every house where the blood was applied. But imagine if any family had despised God’s instruction or treated it casually—they would not have been spared. Deliverance came to those who reverenced the Lord enough to obey His Word.
The same is true today. The Blood of Jesus is our shield against every form of evil. In this time of increasing gross darkness we must daily walk in reverence to God—aligning our lives with His Word, honoring His presence, and trusting His covenant. When you do so, you place yourself under Heaven’s covering. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and by the Blood, you are exempted from destruction to a life of glory and power.

PRAYER:
Lord, I choose to walk daily in reverence of Your Word. By the Blood of Jesus, I declare that no evil shall befall me or my household. Thank You for surrounding me with Your angels of deliverance in Jesus Name..

In 2013, Diana McKeown experienced amazing deliverance when a plane crashed into her house. That morning, Diana—as was her daily custom—was on her knees in prayer. She rarely allowed anything to disturb her time in God’s presence, but on this particular day, she sensed an unusual urge to answer a ringing phone.
Crossing the room, she picked up the call from an old friend she hadn’t heard from in over a year. While she was there talking, suddenly, there was a deafening explosion. A jet had slammed into the building, tearing it apart. Incredibly, as the plane sliced through her home in a wave of destruction, Diana was completely unharmed. While every other part of the house, including the roof, was torn down, the only place that was left standing was the small area where Diana was sitting while answering the phone. She was pulled out alive from the wreckage by rescuers.
Diana later testified that she felt God’s protective arms around her in the chaos, shielding her from harm. Her story, which was reported by several news outlets, left many people amazed and in awe of God’s divine protection.

Psalm 91 reminds us that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under His shadow of protection, and He becomes their refuge and strength.
Because Diana had committed herself to daily quality time in His Presence, God committed Himself to her deliverance.
When you honor God with your time and make Him your greatest priority, you secure His covenant covering over your life.
When you fear God, He will do whatever it takes to deliver you from harm, including interrupting your routines and schedule. That call Diana answered was not a distraction; it was God’s hand ordering her steps out of trouble.
The Bible declares, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” (Psalm 37:23).
This is why it is important to treat time with God with reverence.
When you build intimacy with Him through prayer and His Word, He takes personal responsibility for your safety, provision, and future. God has promised deliverance to those who fear and honor Him. Psalm 34:7 declares that “the angel of the Lord encamps around them that fear Him, and delivers them.”
Life may bring sudden storms, but none of these can prevail against the covenant of those who fear the Lord. The enemy may have plans of destruction, but God always has a greater plan of deliverance.
Today, as we walk in reverence of God, we never have to live in fear of life’s uncertainties. God will deliver us from the plots and attacks of the enemy and establish us in glory.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for being my shield and refuge. Help me to always honor You first in my life. As I dwell in Your presence daily, may I walk in Your covenant of protection and enjoy Your deliverance in Jesus’ Name.

After World War II, many hungry hearts in America longed for a fresh move of God. Among them was a young preacher named Velmer James Gardner, ordained in 1942. His heart burned as he read about the mighty exploits of men like Smith Wigglesworth and Dr. Charles Price. He yearned for that same anointing, those same miracles, in his own ministry.
But reality was painfully different. Though he preached and prayed, there were no miracles. His services remained ordinary, and whispers of doubt taunted his mind: “Maybe God will never use you like that… maybe it’s all in vain.”
Instead of quitting, Velmer doubled down. He locked himself in seasons of fasting and long hours of prayer, crying out for the reality of God’s power. For years—nothing seemed to change, but he continued to honor God and walk in reverence of His Word.
Then in 1948, while he was holding a small meeting in Oregon, something shifted. The atmosphere grew charged. Suddenly healings broke out in the crowd. The news spread like fire. The once-small gathering exploded into mighty revival meetings marked by miracles, signs, and wonders.
As this breakthrough finally came, Velmer was launched into the Voice of Healing Revival of the 1950s, standing alongside some of the greatest evangelists of his generation.

His story remains a living proof: patience mixed with faith will always bring you into the fulfillment of God’s promises.
We must discipline ourselves to remain spiritually persistent until God’s promises manifest in our lives.
David was anointed king as a teenager in 1 Samuel 16, yet he was forced to endure thirteen years of trials and persecution under Saul. Despite every chance to give up, David waited on God’s timing. In due season, Saul fell in battle, and David was enthroned.
Faith is not just about believing—it’s also about enduring. The enemy often intensifies the battle when your breakthrough is near. That’s why Hebrews 6:12 urges us not to grow dull but to imitate those who received the promises through faith and patience.
Therefore today, do not let weariness rob you of your miracle. Breakdowns often comes just before your breakthrough. If you press on—praying, confessing God’s Word, and honoring Him—you will surely see His promise manifest in your life. Through patience, you will wear down every resistance. Through endurance, you will step into higher dimensions. And through faith, you will see the eventual manifestation of God’s glory and power.in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the grace to remain steadfast in faith. Help me to press on without quitting, until every promise You have spoken becomes a reality in my life, in Jesus’ Name.

William Frederick Padwick Burton was one of the greatest missionaries to Africa. He was the product of divine grace because his early life was full of worldly pursuits with no regard for spiritual things. He had a privileged background, attended good schools in England and traveled around the world, developing a broadly-informed worldview.
But while in college in 1905, Burton attended an evangelistic service, where he became convinced that he was not a true Christian, despite being a member of the Church of England.
After surrendering his life to Christ, a definite change took place in his life. He joyfully shared his newfound faith and began a lifelong disciplines of studying the Bible and praying.
Few years later, Burton felt God’s call to full-time ministry. He stepped out in faith and, in 1911, quit his engineering job and began preaching across the English countryside and led numerous people to the Lord.
Burton later went to serve as a missionary in Congo, where he would spend the rest of his life.
Burton helped to advance the Gospel in Africa. He authored many books and raised many Churches in Congo.
Though he had sacrificed his life of privilege and social status in England to become a Pentecostal preacher, he ultimately gained more as he became a celebrated figure in the history of African Pentecostalism.

The Christian life requires that we honor God in everything and always elevate His will over our own desires and comfort.
Especially at this time, our greatest focus and pursuit should be seeking God’s Kingdom fervently.
We are living in the last days, where the greatest battle for the souls of men is taking place. So many distractions are being sent into the world by the devil to derail people and push them deeper into sin and destruction.
While souls are being lost, as believers we cannot stand by and
occupy our lives with mundane and frivolous things.
It’s important that we evaluate our priorities and ensure we are pursuing God’s purpose first, which is the salvation of men.
We can no longer afford to keep wasting time, running after things that lack eternal value.
Pursuit of earthly treasures and pleasures is temporary, but our investment in eternal purpose of seeking God and His Kingdom will last forever.
The wonderful thing is that when we seek God and find Him, we are rewarded with deliverance from every captivity in our lives.(Jeremiah 29:13-14).

Deliverance, healings miracles and inexplicable blessings becomes our portion when we choose to seek God with our whole There’s no one who seeks God fervently that returns empty-handed.
Because God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him, as we give Him the highest priority in our hearts, He will certainly take us to the highest places in life .

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to always make You top priority in my life. Please help me to maintain a lifestyle of spiritual fervency and tireless pursuit of Your calling upon my life in Jesus’ Name.

As soon as Adolf Hitler rose to power as Chancellor of Germany in 1933, he began subjecting German Jews to repressive policies.
On November 9–10, 1938, with Hitler’s support, Nazi Party officials set off a series of violent pogroms against Jews in Germany and Austria. This event came to be known as the Night of Broken Glass.
That night, Nazis attacked Jews in Germany, burning their synagogues, homes, schools, and businesses. In the aftermath, some 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and sent to Nazi concentration camps.
Things worsened as Hitler went on to implement his so-called “final solution” to the “Jewish problem.” He eventually carried out the systematic murder of about 6 million European Jews in the Holocaust. Hitler’s intention was to totally wipe out every memory of the Jews. But though he had the army, manpower, and weapons to destroy their homes, businesses, and even their lives, one thing he lacked was the power to destroy the prophecy over their lives.
God’s promises of deliverance and restoration of the Jews eventually came to pass with the birth of the modern state of Israel in 1948, which today has grown to become one of the strongest nations on earth.

Just as Hitler’s hatred could not stop God’s promise and prophecy over the Jews, circumstances cannot stop you from arriving at your destination of glory as long as you walk in honor and reverence of God.
When Pharaoh tried to destroy the children of Israel through oppression, the more he persecuted them, the more they multiplied. God is the One who decides destinies. Your destiny is in God’s hands, not in the hands of any man. As long as you stay connected to God’s covenant and honor His Word, you will surely see His promises fulfilled.
This is why we must be diligent to grow our faith through consistent study of God’s Word and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Faith is the key to your victory over the world and its challenges. When you abide in faith, no matter how much anyone tries to put you down, you will only keep rising higher.
By God’s grace, in this season, nothing will hinder your breaking forth on every side—in your health, business, career, family, and more. It doesn’t matter the plots of the enemy to hinder you; those stumbling blocks will turn into stepping stones to your greater destiny.
Isaiah 54:15 says, “Whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.” Just focus on praising Him and obeying His Word, and your victory is sure. God is faithful, and He will preserve you through every storm. Certainly, this is your season to soar above and rise to unexpected new realms of glory.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to stand strong in faith at all times. No matter what I may pass through, I know I am coming out stronger and better with amazing testimonies, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: There is something that God has placed within you that the world is eagerly awaiting to see. WORDBITE 222.

Shalom!
