There are three tombs in Jerusalem people point to as possible tombs of Jesus.
These three tombs are; The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, The Garden Tomb, and The Talpiot Family Tomb.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is viewed as the site with the most compelling evidence of authenticity. Archaeological evidence points to it being a Jewish cemetery outside the walls of Jerusalem in the first century. This agrees with Biblical information about Christ’s burial site..

The second possible tomb is the Garden Tomb. It was discovered in the late 1800s when British general Charles Gordon pointed out an escarpment near it that looks like a skull. According to the Scriptures, Jesus was crucified at “the place called the Skull” (John 19:17). Also this tomb is located outside the walls of Jerusalem, and Jesus’ death and burial took place outside the city walls (Hebrews 13:12).
However, the argument against the Garden Tomb is strong suggestions that it was carved around 600 years before Jesus was born, contrary to the fact that Jesus was buried in a new tomb which had never been used

The last possible tomb is the Talpiot tomb which was discovered in 1980. It gained fame when featured in the 2007 documentary ‘The Lost Tomb of Jesus.’
However, not many people believe it is the possible tomb of Jesus because of the evidences presented by the filmmakers.
The strongest argument against the Talpiot Family Tomb is the discovery of bones in a stone box marked “Jesus, son of Joseph.”
Christians know that the Jesus whose bones rest in that stone box could not be Jesus of Nazareth, who rose from the dead.
There were many men named Jesus in 1st century BC Judea, so it is believed to be the bones of someone else.
While no one is certain of the real tomb, archaeological evidences continue to point to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre which has today become an acceptable site of pilgrimage for many Christians, as the burial place of Jesus.

Interestingly, the singular greatest discredit to the Talpiot Family Tomb was the bones found there. Every believer knows that Jesus is risen!
The tomb is empty. Jesus is not dead – He is alive and living! That is the most exciting news of our Christian faith!

Christ is risen indeed!
These words will be proclaimed by millions of Christians across the world today.
Christ’s resurrection is the most important celebration on the Church calendar.

Jesus was crucified, buried in a tomb, but He rose again. He ascended into Heaven and today sits at the right hand of God the Father.
The right hand of God is the prominent position of power.
Indeed all power has been given unto Jesus!
He has conquered sin and death and given us the power to live in victory on earth.
Jesus suffered on the Cross so that we can have life and have it more abundantly.
As we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we also declare that we have been raised.
We have been raised from every pit of life and made to sit in Heavenly places with Christ.
Where there was death there is now life. Where there was emptiness there is now fullness. Where there was fear there is now peace. Where there was confusion there is now purpose. This is the reason for our celebration today. Yes, Christ is risen, and so have we!!

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for sending Jesus to save me. Please help me to fully appropriate the benefits that Jesus won for me on the cross. By His resurrection power may everything dead around me come alive today in Jesus Name.

On November 1995, Army Major David Shublak left his new wife, Linda, at their home at the Military barracks of Fort Huachuca, Arizona, to go for his usual morning jog.
When moments later, Linda heard sirens shrieking in the distance, she paused and prayed for the accident victim, not knowing it was her husband.
A car had struck David while he was jogging. He was thrown up and landed on his head on the concrete. Both legs were shattered and his arm broken. His skull was fractured in five places, he had massive brain injury and was in a coma.
At the hospital, David was placed on life support, he was brain dead and not expected to live. But Linda prayed for a miracle.
Soon the Military began funeral arrangements for David’s burial and his Military friends ordered new uniforms to wear to escort his coffin.
In the midst of all these Linda asked the Lord to give her some assurance and when she opened her Bible she found these words highlighted “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, even though he die, yet shall he live.”
To her, that was God telling her that even though doctors were saying David was brain-dead, he was going to live.
Linda continued to read the Bible and pray. She played praise music, placed the Bible on David’s chest, and pinned Scriptures all over the hospital room. But while her faith grew in anticipation of the miracle, others around her worried that she had lost touch with reality.
Yet, Linda ignored their opinions and kept praying for David, even though he was still on life support.
Surprisingly, by the sixth day, David began responding to light. Soon he started moving his legs and woke up from the coma, astounding everyone. His recovery was a great miracle!
Linda was overjoyed at receiving her husband back from the ‘dead’. She rejoiced at witnessing the resurrection power of Christ. Despite all the negative medical verdicts, David soon fully recovered and returned back to active military service.

The disciples of Jesus were devastated by news of His death through crucifixion.
However, while they mourned His death, unknown to them, God’s resurrection power was already at work to raise Him up from the dead.
In the meantime, Jesus had gone down to hell to defeat the devil and win complete victory for humanity. Jesus totally devastated the kingdom of darkness and left hell in shambles, triumphing over the devil, and disarming all principalities and powers.

Colossians 2:15 says, “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it”.

Jesus took the key of death from the devil and defeated death’s terror to hold us down. Through His victory, we now have resurrection power. No matter how terrible any condition, through Christ we can arise from it. Because He lives, we live also.

In Revelation 1:18 Jesus says: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death’.

After Jesus had sealed the devil’s defeat, He arose from the grave and appeared to His disciples.
Imagine the joy of these disciples as they saw Jesus again! Their mourning was turned into dancing, their darkness was turned into light and their night was turned into day.
Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has given us total victory and liberty in life. Negative situations no longer have the final say over our lives. No matter the negative medical verdict or financial reports you may face today, they can be overturned by the power in the Blood of Jesus.
We are truly grateful for what Christ has done for us.
Today, let us from the depths of our hearts, bless and praise Him for His ultimate love and ultimate power shown to us at Calvary!

In May 2012, many Global News outlets reported the story that scientists had finally uncovered the exact date of Jesus’ crucifixion.
For many centuries the exact date of Jesus’ crucifixion had been a topic of debate and much speculation.
While the day and month of the crucifixion was said to be 3rd April, the year had been more difficult to pinpoint.
The day and month were ascertained with fair precision because all four Gospels and historical records agree that the crucifixion occurred on a Friday before the beginning of the Jewish Sabbath when Pontius Pilate was procurator of Judea from 26-36 AD.
However, the particular year of the crucifixion has been in question.
In 2012, scientists sought to confirm the year as the International Geology Review investigated the Biblical account in Matthew 27 of an earthquake that had occurred at the time of Jesus’ crucifixion.
To determine the exact date, geologists investigated the 4,000-year chronology of earthquake disturbances around the Dead Sea, located about 13 miles from Golgotha, outside Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified.
After analyzing earthquake activity in the area through studying earth cores, they confirmed that there was indeed a major earthquake during the period referred to in the Gospel of Matthew.
The geological research combined with Biblical citations claimed that the date of Jesus crucifixion may have been Friday April 3, 33 A.D.
While this date agrees with what many historians have suggested through the centuries, the Bible does not explicitly specify the precise date of Jesus’ crucifixion.
Therefore what should be more important to us is the fact that He did die a brutal death on a Good Friday to save mankind from sin and death.

Today, let’s pause for a moment and focus on Scriptural accounts of what really happened on that day.
Christ was slapped, spit upon, and a crown of thorns placed upon his head, causing blood to gush down His face
He was then brought to the Roman soldiers to be flogged with 39 stripes. Each time they swung their whip, and it struck the back of the Lord, it ripped His back open, and streams of blood gushed down His back and dribbled onto the cobble stone floors.
Christ endured all the pain and humiliation, knowing that each stripe on His back was cleansing us from sin and every category of disease known to man.
Then an old, rugged cross was placed on His bloody back and in His weakened state He dragged this heavy cross through the cobblestone streets of Jerusalem.
At the Cross, He was hung high, nailed on His hands and feet and speared on His side.

On that Good Friday, Christ endured the pain, the Blood, the wounds so that we don’t have to be afflicted again.
It is called ‘good Friday’ because it is the day of the greatest good that ever happened to mankind. Through His death, Jesus has brought us freedom, salvation and deliverance! Jesus accomplished the greatest rescue ever known to man. When Jesus completed His purpose, He summed it up with these last words: “it is finished.”
As Jesus cried those words, satan became a defeated foe. Finished at the cross was the enemy’s stronghold on humanity. There is now redemption, deliverance, healing and forgiveness available to all who believe.
Redemption has re-positioned us for eternal victory over every affliction of life.
Therefore it is time to stand in faith and victory through seeking deeper understanding from the Word.
Ignorance is what makes believers to still suffer in spite of the price Christ has paid.
We are not meant to suffer sickness, poverty, pain or any negative condition because Christ has paid it all. Affliction is not permitted to arise a second time!
Certainly, you are not born again to suffer again. You are born again to enjoy the blessings of redemption, because whosoever the Son of God has made free is truly free indeed.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the great price You paid for my redemption. Today by the power in Your Blood I certainly have victory over everything contesting my glorious destiny in Jesus Name.

“More Than Dreams” is an inspirational film featuring five stories of Muslim men and women who experience meeting Jesus in a dream.
One of the stories is that of Khalil who was trained as a jihadist in Egypt and engaged in terrorist acts.
As part of an intellectual attack against Christianity, Khalil was assigned the task of writing a book that would prove that the Bible could not be trusted.
Though Khalil was repulsed by the idea, he had to study the Bible to examine the claims of Jesus’ death and resurrection—which aren’t included in the Quran.
When he had completed reading the Bible and cross-referencing it with numerous texts from the Qur’an, Khalil discovered the Bible was neither inaccurate nor false.
Khalil could not deny his growing conviction that Jesus was the way to God. One day, his briefcase was stolen which contained his manuscript, Bible and identity card.
That night, while sleeping, Khalil saw Jesus in a dream, telling him, He was the One he had been searching for.
Jesus then told him, to stand up and open his closet and he would will find his stolen Bible.
When Khalil awoke from the dream, he got out of bed and opened his closet door and indeed found his lost Bible on the shelf. That became the turning point in his life. He publicly accepted Christ and over the ensuing months, Khalil grew in his Christian faith. Despite persecutions and attempts to kill him, he has continued to persevere, convinced that no price is too great to pay for the joy of serving the One who gave His life to save him.

The story of Khalil is just a snapshot of what the redeeming precious Blood of Jesus Christ can do!
Through the single act of redemption, Jesus not only changed the course of human history, but also released the power of supernatural transformation into the earth.
He sacrificed Himself to break the chains of darkness and give us the opportunity to experience changed lives.
By His Blood, we have been redeemed from the lies and deception of the enemy who comes to steal, to kill and to destroy.
Jesus suffered on that cross so that we can have life and have it more abundantly. The power in the Blood of Jesus is ordained for the supernatural restoration of our redemptive dignity. By the power in His Blood we are revived to live a life of glory and power.
The power in the Blood translates us from failure to breakthrough, from sickness to health, from death to life, from weakness to power.
The power in the Blood can transform problems into opportunities, turn impossibility into possibilities, turn sorrow into joy, defeat to victory and stress into strength.

There is no yoke that cannot be broken by the Blood of Jesus which can never lose its power.
It doesn’t matter the affliction or oppression the enemy may try to bring against you, total deliverance is available through engaging the power in the Blood.
This sacred Blood can set you free from the pain of the past and the fear of tomorrow.
Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross unleashed the power of the Holy Spirit to supernaturally transport our lives from valleys of defeat to mountaintops of victory .
Indeed through the Blood we are raised out of the waterless pit and made to sit with Christ in Heavenly places.
Therefore, no matter what may face you today, you have reason to celebrate and declare “For I know that my Redeemer lives…”.
And because He lives, you can face tomorrow with great hope that the very best is yet to come!

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the transformational power available to me through the Blood of Jesus. I know indeed that by the Blood of Jesus I have been delivered from darkness to enjoy the blessings of Your grace in Jesus Name.

The medieval cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris is one of France’s most famous landmarks.
Notre-Dame Cathedral is an architectural and historical marvel and is home to many priceless works of art and religious relics.
Over its vast history the Cathedral has suffered considerable damage, but it has always been restored. A recent damage was in April 2019, when a fire outbreak ravaged the Cathedral and destroyed its roof and damaged its upper walls.
But despite the damage caused by the fire, the French government was grateful that the significant collection of art works and seminal religious relics kept inside the Church were saved from the fire.
Chief among these precious artifacts saved by firefighters was the crown of thorns which is believed to be the same worn by Jesus on the Cross.
The Crown of Thorns which was acquired by France in the 13th century, is Notre-Dame’s “most precious and most venerated relic”.
Other precious relics saved from the fire include a fragment of what is believed to be the “true cross” that Christ died upon, housed inside a gold reliquary and also a nail said to have been one of those used to pin Jesus to the cross.
In the aftermath of the fire, French president Emmanuel Macron launched a fundraising campaign for the complete restoration of the Cathedral. Donations flooded in from around the world to the tune of over €1 billion. Since then the French government has been working relentlessly to rebuild Notre-Dame and restore its highly esteemed historical relics, especially the priceless relics of the Crucifixion.

It is interesting how the world pays greater attention to the preservation of the relics of the crucifixion, rather than the purpose of the death of Christ.
The most important legacy of Jesus death and resurrection is not the relics, but the redemption He died to purchase.
Because of the price Jesus paid at Calvary, mankind has been given freedom from spiritual bondage.
At the Cross, when Jesus said ‘It is finished!’, He paid in the fullest and to the outermost every spiritual debt we owed. The curse that was upon man for disobeying God’s law was removed.
Jesus hung on the cross and became a curse for us that the blessings of Abraham might come upon us. Therefore, through Him, we are no longer under any curse [Galatians 3:13-14.].
If Jesus hung on the tree for you, no sickness, poverty or misfortune can hang on you anymore. The devil cannot hold you captive any longer. As long as you serve the Lord, liberty from oppression is your heritage in God and your birthright in Christ.
Truly, everything contrary to our destiny was nailed to the cross, indicating an end to them. And because affliction cannot arise a second time, those things can never rise again to afflict us as long as we abide in Christ!
Through His death, Jesus blotted out all the negative handwritings against us. He has blotted out all the writings of soothsayers and occultic forces. He has blotted out all the handwriting against our marital destiny, finances, health and family.
Every negative speaking against our destiny has been silenced by the speakings of His Blood. By the blood of Jesus, we have been guaranteed peace with God in all areas of life.
Therefore while the world focuses on relics of the Cross, let our focus be on the redemptive values Christ has purchased for us.
Wherever we go, there should be a continuous shout of hallelujah in our habitation, and a ceaseless song of victory in our mouth, because Christ has set us free indeed!

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the price Christ paid for my salvation at the Cross, thereby setting me free from every form of bondage. I thank You Lord that I now have the victory and dominion over every affliction in Jesus Name. .

In 1982, 26-year-old Ian McCormack was night-diving off the island of Mauritius when he was stung multiple times by Box Jellyfish. This specie of fishes are among the most venomous creatures in the world, whose poison can kill a person in four minutes. By the time an ambulance came, Ian’s body was completely paralyzed, and necrosis had started to set into his bone marrow.
On the way to the hospital, McCormack began to see his life flash before him. He knew he was near death. He was an atheist and didn’t know whether or not there was an afterlife. As he lay dying, he saw a vision of his mother, who was the only Christian in his family, praying for him. She encouraged Ian to cry out to God from his heart and God would hear him and forgive him. And so Ian began to cry out to God.
At the hospital, the doctors tried to save his life but within a few minutes, Ian died. He was declared clinically dead for about 15 minutes.
During this time he had an encounter with Jesus, which radically changed the direction of his life.
That same night God miraculously raised him from the dead and completely healed him. The medical team was completely shocked by his recovery.
The next day Ian discharged himself and walked out of the hospital unaided! Though he had never read the Bible before then, over the next 6 weeks he read the entire Bible. Today he preaches the Gospel and testifies of God’s amazing resurrection power.
Ian McCormack’s story has been made into a movie entitled ‘The Perfect Wave’.

At his dying moment the vision of his praying mother prompted Ian McCormack to call upon God and as he did, God delivered him from certain death.
When you bring Jesus into any dying or dead situation He will change it. Lazarus was already dead and buried by the time Jesus got there. Humanly speaking, it was a hopeless case.
But this impossible problem became an opportunity for Jesus to demonstrate His resurrection power.
As the resurrection power was enforced, Lazarus who was already stinking came forth and became a shining testimony of victory over the grave.
It doesn’t matter how hopeless any condition, Jesus can turn it around and turn your trial into a testimony. He will give you a new song in the darkest night and turn your mourning into dancing.
Truly, Jesus is the resurrection and the life. There is no limit to the depths He can lift us from when we sincerely call upon Him.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)!
What He has done in the past, He can and will do again. If He raised Lazarus from the dead, He can lift you up from any pit of despair, He can lift you from the bed of sickness, raise you from financial struggles and release your destiny from any grave where it may seem to have been buried. If He made the lame to walk, He can deliver you from every form of stagnancy and redundancy.
Truly there is nothing God cannot do. He is the faithful God, the all-sufficient God, the God of all hope and the great I am. He is our ever present help at every time of need.
Through His resurrection, Christ has given us the victory over death, hell and the grave. And because the same power that raised Him from the dead dwells in us, today, that power will quicken our mortal bodies and raise us up from the low places of life to glorious new heights of victory in Christ.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the resurrection power at work in me through redemption. Please help me to experience my own tangible revival and restoration in this resurrection season in Jesus Name.

Kenneth Copeland is the founder of Kenneth Copeland Ministries [KCM], established in 1967. Many people know that before Kenneth entered into ministry, he used to be a Commercial Airline Pilot. However, few know that his wife, Gloria Copeland is also a certified Pilot.

In the early years of their ministry, Kenneth and Gloria sowed seeds and believed God for a Cessna jet for transportation to their meetings. When this plane finally came, they found out it required two pilots to fly it.
Kenneth tried to convince Gloria that she should be the other pilot, but she refused because she didn’t think she could do it. But as Kenneth encouraged her, she finally chose to trust God and agreed to give it a try..
As she embarked on learning how to fly, it turned out she was a natural! On the day of her private pilot check ride, the man who was her examiner gave Gloria an “Excellent” rating and approved her for a license. This examiner said that he had been giving check rides for many years and in all of those years, he had only given the ‘Excellent’ rating to less than five people. Gloria was among these very few. He commended her for her extraordinary ability in handling an airplane.
After flying for a while, Gloria decided to hang up her pilot’s cap and be a passenger while other qualified pilots manned the wheels. However, whenever she needs to, she would come up to the front and read charts for the pilots.
Though Gloria had thought she was too inadequate to ever handle a plane, when she chose to trust God and give it a try, she found she was excellent at it and surpassed everyone’s expectations.

Though we may not always see the possibilities in ourselves, God has destined us for excellence in life.
When Jesus met Simon Peter, he was a “reed-like” countryman living in a fishing town of Galilee. His name, Simon, literally means reed. A reed is a tall grass that sways according to the wind.
Simon’s name indicated he was weak, unstable and insecure, but when Jesus met him, He changed his name to Peter ‘the rock’. Jesus looked beyond Peter’s present state and spoke to his destined state.
Though Jesus knew that he would one day deny Him three times, He didn’t focus on Peter’s failures and faults. He saw rather the future strength in him and told him in Mark 1:17, “‘Follow Me, and I will make you..’
And as Peter followed Jesus, he turned around to become like a solid rock—a stable believer used mightily by God as a pillar in the early Church.
Jesus knows each of us. He knows our frailties and weaknesses. He knows our faults and failures. Yet He chooses to address us according to our destined state rather than our present state.
This is because on the Cross He died to raise a new creation, a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and peculiar people. Through redemption we have been given a change of name and change of story.
No matter what you may feel or how you may see yourself, what Christ names you overrides any negative title the world tries to impose on you.
God does not see the way men see. He looked at childless Abraham and saw a father of many nations. In Jacob, a deceiver, He saw the mighty tribe of Israel, In Moses the murderer, God saw a deliverer. In David a shepherd boy, God saw a king.
Today, in you, God sees ‘more than a conqueror’, He sees “a greater than Solomon”, He sees “a city set on a hill”, He sees possibilities beyond what you could ever think or imagine.
You may feel weak and fatigued, but that is not your destiny.
If you will only diligently follow Jesus, He will make you into what you are destined to be.
Anytime, you feel overwhelmed, like you can’t go on, always know that through Christ you can do all things. Through faith from His Word, we can exceed expectations and excell in life. Through His Blood, we have been redeemed to reign on earth and show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light. [1 Peter 2:9]

PRAYER; Lord, I thank You for the possibilities available to me through redemption. Through Your death and resurrection, I have strength, courage and stamina to do extraordinary exploits and exceed all expectations in Jesus Name .

The story of the Argentine Revival is a fascinating tale of how God’s power reached down and opened unprecedented doors in a place that was otherwise hostile to the Gospel.
In his book, ‘The Secrets of the Argentine Revival’ Dr. Edward Miller, an eye witness of the events, recounted the amazing miracles that led to the Argentine revival in 1954.
Before 1954, little was known of American preacher, Tommy Hicks. But he was a man of deep prayer and study of God’s Word. His spiritually fervent lifestyle attracted the power of God that made a huge difference in his life and ministry. One day, while in prayers, he received the divine instruction to go to Argentina to preach.
Before Tommy Hicks arrived in Argentina, the situation was tough for believers. Under President Peron’s decrees, all religious activities were closely monitored and censored. All meeting schedules had to be reported to the police authorities sixty days in advance. Special permission had to be granted for any special meeting, and it was extremely difficult to gain permission for large gatherings.
Yet, when Tommy Hicks arrived to preach in the country, these rules were suspended in his favor.
This happened because through him, God miraculously healed the president of Argentina of an incurable skin disease.
After his healing, the President sat down and signed total freedom for the evangelical Church in Argentina. He gave Tommy Hicks everything he requested for his crusade including the Atlantic Stadium with a seating capacity of 25,000.
As the crusade began, soon overwhelming crowds forced them to relocate to the Huracane Football Stadium with a seating capacity of 110,000, which also overflowed. In two months 3 million were reported to have attended with 300,000 decisions for Christ and a massive number of outstanding healings.
Among the converts were the vice president of Argentina, who along with his wife came to Hicks’ hotel room where they were both saved.
Through God’s power revival fire broke out that transformed the nation.

When you are clothed with God’s power and favour men will be compelled to do you good.

Psalms 5:12 says ‘For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.’

As we abide in righteousness and walk in obedience to His Word, God will surround us with unusual favor and miraculously open doors for us. When you are clothed with God’s power, protocol will be suspended and laws will be changed because of you.
For your sake, God will put pressure on people in the corridors of power and they will be in a hurry to assist you.
God is committed to giving His people favour and we are privileged to be His people by redemption.
Just as God gave the Israelites favour in the sight of the Egyptians, we are in the era of supernatural favour in the Body of Christ. Through the power of God we will be seeing favor from strange quarters and unexpected places.
Therefore we must remain heavily expectant because something good is about to happen. God is about to open doors for you that no man can shut.
As we abide faithful in seeking and serving Him, God will move us into positions and possessions we didn’t qualify for.

Psalms 44:1-3 says ‘For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.’

Through God’s favour upon us we will certainly exceed expectations and have the victory over challenges in our finances, health, family etc. In the place of ashes, we are going to see beauty, favor, health, increase.
As we remain diligent in seeking God in this season, certainly, His power and favour will cause us to standout wherever we go.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to always remain strong in faith and keep giving You all the praise because I know You are set to change my story and usher me into new dimensions of supernatural favor and power in Jesus Name.

Exodus 14:14 ‘The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.’

The Great Siege of Malta occurred in 1565 when the Ottoman Empire attempted to conquer the island of Malta from the Knights of St John.
The Knights of St John were a fighting religious order drawn from most of the nations of Christendom.
Before then, Suleiman the Magnificent, the Ottoman Sultan, had forcibly ejected the Knights from their base on Rhodes after a six-month siege of Rhodes.
From 1523 to 1530 the Knights lacked a permanent home until they were finally able to resettle in Malta which was a small, desolate island.
However, the Ottomans still came again to Malta to attack the Knights in their new headquarters
This time the knights were ready to stand against the might of the Ottoman Empire.
At the time, the Ottoman Empire was at its peak. Under their sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent, the Turks had conquered most of Eastern Europe. But Ottomans met a stiff resistance when 70,000 of their soldiers attempted to seize the island of Malta from about 500 Knights and 3,500 Christian troops.
Despite being very grossly outnumbered, the Christian defenders held out for almost four months, despite 50 percent casualties. And just when it seemed all hope was lost, help suddenly arrived. On September 11, a long-belated relief force from the Continent reached the battle to assist the Christians and inflicted a final great slaughter on the Ottomans, whose survivors fled by sea.
Before this time, Suleiman’s army seemed to be invincible and were feared. But their defeat by the Knights of St. John undoubtedly led to the eventual erosion of the European perception of Ottoman invincibility.

Sometimes in life, we may face battles where it seems we are outnumbered and outgunned.
It could be medical diagnosis that seems frightening, financial lack that seems insurmountable or problems that simply defy solutions.
In a situation that appears more than you can handle, it is tempting to accept defeat and believe it’s all over. But if you will refuse to quit and continue to stand in faith, help will soon come your way.

In 2 Chronicles 20, a great army came against King Jehoshaphat. He was greatly outnumbered and did not know what to do. But when he turned to the Lord, help arose to defeat his enemies.

Truly, no matter how intimidating any situation, God can enable you to withstand and overcome formidable enemies.
If it seems you are facing an impossible situation, always remember that there is God in Heaven who rules in the affairs of men. He is the God of sudden visitations, who can suddenly intervene when it seems all hope is lost.
No matter how insurmountable the obstacle,, we must always remember that we serve the God who is the mighty Man in battle. He is El Shaddai, which means Almighty God who destroys over powers.
He is Yahweh-Sabaoth, the LORD of Hosts, who has military prowess and is the Mighty Warrior. And He is Yahweh-Nissi, the LORD our Banner.
Indeed when God arises to fight for you, every enemy must be scattered. This is why we should always ensure God is on our side by remaining spiritually fervent when faced with trials and oppositions.
One key way to engage God to fight for us is through praise.
Just like Jehoshaphat did in 2 Chronicles 20, when you begin to sing and praise God, He sets an ambush against your enemies. Praise is what triggers the intervention of the Omnipotent God. Praise is God’s hotline anytime! Praise attracts God’s presence.[Psalm 22:3].
When you live a praiseful life, God’s presence around you ensures your victory in every conflict.

Anytime, we are faced by strong battles, God’s desire for us is to stand in faith and not be moved by circumstances. Certainly, the battle is not ours, but the Lord’s.
Today, as we remain steadfast in faith, prayers and praise, the Lord will indeed fight for us and we will hold our peace.

PRAYER; Lord, Please help me to hand over my battles to You through maintaining a praise-full lifestyle. Thank You Lord for causing me to triumph always in Jesus Name. .

Proverbs 14:12 ‘There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death’

Today, “Death Valley” is one of the largest national parks in America. It was given its name by a group of gold prospectors who almost lost their lives in the valley.
In 1848, when gold was discovered in California, many people from all over America began rushing to the region to seek for gold and hope for a new and better life.
In October of 1849, a group of such gold prospectors began their journey from Salt Lake City. They were being led by an experienced guide named Captain Jefferson Hunt who was the only one in the town who knew the trail well. But captain Hunt drove carefully and went at a pace slower than what most of the passengers wanted.
Some of these impatient people became excited when a young man rode up to them claiming to know a better way. He presented a hand-sketched map that showed a fictitous “short cut” across the desert to a place called Walker Pass. The people agreed that this would cut off 500 miles from their journey and help them get to their destination faster. And so while the patient ones decided to continue with Captain Hunt, the impatient ones chose to follow the purported ‘short cut’.
About 20 wagons abandoned captain Hunt and followed the unreliable map, thinking that all they had to do was keep going west and they would eventually arrive at their destination.
But as this group followed the shortcut, they found themselves in areas of deserts, mountains, and barren valleys that seemed to lead nowhere. Eventually they ended up lost.
After weeks of wandering across the desert in no particular direction, they were weary and were almost dying from thirst and hunger.
Finally, they came to a point where the road became so treacherous that they could no longer go on with their carriages. So they decided to leave their wagons and belongings behind and walk. They slaughtered several oxen and used the wood of their wagons to cook the meat.
They then embarked on a treacherous trek across sand dunes, Mountains and Valleys. By now the “short cut” that had lured them away from Captain Hunt’s wagon train, proved to be a long torturous route that trapped them for about four months in the desert before they finally found a trail that led them back to civilization. By the time they emerged from this journey, some of the men had lost their lives and most of their belongings were gone. Their experience and entire ordeal led to the naming of that region ‘death valley.’

Proverbs 14:12 ‘There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death’

Every destiny is at risk without proper guidance.
Life is full of ways that seem right at first, but only end up as paths of death. To avoid them we need to be divinely guided by the One who knows the way.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is all-knowing, all-powerful and everywhere-present. He is tried, true and trustworthy. And it is wisdom to trust Him to guide us in the journey of life.
He is the One with foreknowledge. He knows the end from the beginning and as we trust in Him, He will lead us on the right pathway.
Though we may sometimes walk through the valley of the shadow of death, when God is with us, we shall fear no evil.
Unfortunately today, many lack the patience to wait for God’s guidance and follow His righteous standards.
In the desire to move faster in life, they look for shortcuts to success. But some so called ‘shortcuts’ only end up becoming deathtraps. Certainly, not all that glitters is gold.
To truly go far in life, we must submit to the guidance of the Spirit. The security of our destiny lies in His guidance.
By His help we will be able to escape those pitfalls on life’s pathway that trap men and immobilize their journey.
Indeed for every believer there is no substitute for divine guidance. Either you are guided or you are grounded.
We must therefore avoid spiritual laziness and consciously pay the price of walking the strait and narrow path of spiritual discipline.
This we do by developing sensitivity to the Holy Spirit through fervent prayers, worship and diligent study of the Scriptures.
Through His death and resurrection Jesus has provided a sure path for us to follow to every good thing in life.
And as we follow Him, we will be made and guided into His great and glorious destiny for us.

PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to choose the path of divine guidance so as to avoid the pain of regret in destiny. Thank You Lord for granting me the grace to always follow Your will at all times in Jesus Name.
