Peter Gladwin’s life began in tragedy. Before his first birthday, a devastating house fire left him with severe burns and amputated fingers and toes. His parents later divorced, and he was moved from one foster home to another, growing up wounded, insecure, and deeply rejected.
As a teenager, Peter drifted into street gangs, crime, and addiction. By thirteen, he had already been in youth custody. Later, a stabbing left him with permanent damage to his right arm. Gambling, alcohol, and drugs became his escape. By age thirty, his life was shattered—broken relationships, emotional exhaustion, failing health, and overwhelming despair. One day, convinced there was no way out, Peter climbed onto a bridge intending to end his life. Yet in that moment, something restrained him. Instead, he came down and ran to his family’s house, where his mother and sister, encouraged him to surrender his life to Christ.
Their prayers changed everything. Healing and restoration began in Peter’s life. He later attended Bible college, married, and founded the charity Out of Ashes, bringing restoration to others worldwide. What nearly ended in death became a testimony of God’s unfailing presence and redeeming power.

There is no situation God cannot turn around when we turn fully to Him. No matter how painful the past has been or how deep the wounds we have carried, the moment we begin a life of deep devotion, God can grant us a brand-new beginning. When we yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit, He is able to pull us out of every form of trouble and transform past tests into powerful testimonies.
Victory over life’s challenges is not won by emotion or willpower, but by deep devotion to God and a life anchored in prayer. When prayer becomes our refuge, fear loses its authority in our lives. Holding tightly to God in difficult seasons keeps our hearts aligned with His promises rather than controlled by circumstances. Many of us desire definite changes in certain areas of our lives this year. For that to happen, we must turn to God with deeper devotion.
Prayer keeps us connected to the One who controls change. The longer we remain in His presence, the more His peace stabilizes us, His wisdom guides us, and His power strengthens us from within. God does not abandon His children in pressure; He matures them through it.
Hebrews 13:5 assures us that God will never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore, in every trial, let us stand firm on His promises and keep praising Him because He is changing every negative story and clothing us with His glory. He will surely carry us through every valley and transform every struggle into victory.

PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for granting me the grace to stand strong on Your Word and maintain a life of fervent prayer. As I pray, I know You will take care of every cause of concern in my life and turn every mourning into dancing for me, in Jesus’ Name.
