Ephesians 3:16–18 (NKJV)
“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height…”

Denzel Hayes Washington, world-renowned actor and filmmaker, grew up in a Christian home. In 1975, he was struggling badly in college, with a GPA of just 1.7, and questioning his future. A part of him wondered if he should just start over and join the army.
Denzel felt like a failure, but at this time his mother continued to provide love, support, and succor.
At his lowest points, he often went to his mother’s beauty salon.
One day in March 1975, he took his frustrations to his mother’s beauty shop. As he sat there, he realized an older woman, under the hairdryer was looking steadily at him through the mirror.
Suddenly, she called out, “Somebody, get me a pen! Get me a pencil! I have a prophecy.”
Somebody handed her a blue envelope, and the woman scribbled on it. Then she spoke to Denzel: “Boy, you are gonna travel the world and speak to millions of people.”
To Denzel, that sounded impossible—he was failing, confused, and unsure of himself. Yet, that prophetic word stirred something deep inside him. He later found out the woman was a minister of the Gospel. Four months later, he tried acting for the first time, and slowly God’s plan began to unfold. Today, decades later, Denzel testifies how God’s hand guided him from hopelessness into global influence. Looking back, he admits that God’s love never let him go—even when he felt lost, heaven’s agenda was already working in his favor.
This story shows us the power of God’s love to invade our darkest moments with glory. Denzel’s turnaround was not the result of human effort alone; it was the fruit of divine love orchestrating his steps.
The love of God helped Denzel to navigate through a difficult season until he experienced the invasion of glory in his life.
When God’s love is at work, setbacks become divine setups to greater heights, disappointments become redirections, and what looked impossible becomes the platform for miracles.
Ephesians 3:16–18 reminds us that we are “rooted and grounded in love.” God’s love is not passive—it actively works to strengthen us, redirect us, and establish us in glory.
Hard work and diligence matter, but it is His love and favor that ultimately crown our efforts.
As we step deeper into September—the ninth month of birthing—expect new things to emerge in your life through the invasion of His love.
As you remain faithful in serving God and seeking His kingdom first, God will turn the tables in your favor. What should have taken you many years to accomplish, God will do in a sudden moment.
In this month of September, God will grant you divine speed and give you beauty for ashes. And though you went through fire and through water, God is about to bring you into a wealthy place. God will cause doors of breakthrough to open up to you, crooked places shall be made straight, and the hidden riches of secret places shall be given to you.
Therefore, in this month, stay rooted in God’s Word, abide in His love, and watch Him accelerate you into your prophetic destiny.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the grace to walk in faith and obedience to Your Word. Help me to stay rooted and grounded in Your love. Let Your love birth glory in my life and cause me to shine forth in every area of destiny, in Jesus’ Name.
