Todd Tilghman is an American pastor who is a winner of the American talent competition “The Voice.” At the age of 42, he became the oldest winner in the series history. Many people were amazed in 2020 when he won the show’s 18th season. Pastor Todd who is the father of eight children had been singing since he was 8 years old hoping for a breakthrough with his musical career, but it never seemed to come . By the time he was 42 years old, he had never sung outside of Church but he decided to participate in the Voice competition. Though he felt too old and grossly inadequate, he trusted God with the outcome. What happened at the audition completely shocked him.
Todd’s blending of Gospel, Worship and Classic music made him stand out. Usually when contestants try out in The Voice competition, they pray that just one of the four judges would turn around and pick them. But during Pastor Todd Tilghman’s audition, all four judges suddenly swung around in their seats.
The four-judge panel appeared stunned with his performance and he was unanimously picked as the 2020 winner of the competition. With his win, he gained sudden fame, his musical career kicked off, and he has since been producing albums and excelling with his music and winning awards.
The truth is that, with God on our side, it’s never too late for our dreams.
Oftentimes, we miss out on God’s best by allowing feelings of inadequacies to make us settle for less. But as a child of God, you are capable of much more accomplishment than you realize. You have potential for greater victories than you could ever imagine.
It is not about you, it is about Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is not about your capability, it is about His ability at work in you. So do not limit yourself and do not let fear or discouragement stop you from pressing forward to your highest goals this year. You may not have enough money, enough education or not be the right age. But as long as you have God and walk in obedience to His commandments, you will surely bear fruit in due season. When your time comes, you will arise and shine for the glory of the Lord shall be upon you.
Every destiny is different, just as each plant blooms in its own season.
As you continue to please God, at His appointed time, He can turn the tables in your favor.
Suddenly God can put you in positions you didn’t qualify for and accelerate your dreams. What should have taken you many years to accomplish God can do in split seconds in your life.. Indeed God can do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or imagine.
Today, as we come to the end of the month of March, it’s a good time to bless the Lord for all His goodness and faithfulness we have seen this month. Let us keep praising Him in expectation of greater things in the coming month. By His grace , our story will keep going from glory to glory and from victory to victory.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for bringing me successfully to the end of March. I thank You for greater glory that awaits me in the new month for I know You are set to exceed my expectations and do abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine in Jesus Name. .
