In 1915, 17 years old Marion Wade became a baseball player and joined the team of Chicago Braves. But five years later when he got married, Marion left his sports career and became a salesman in order to adequately provide for his family. When his finances didn’t improve he decided to start a business of providing moth-proofing services. But in 1944, while trying to moth-proof a customer’s office, there was a chemical explosion and Marion was temporarily blinded. On his hospital bed, Marion realized that he may have suffered the accident because, even though he was a Christian, he had not actively involved God in his business.
When he rededicated himself to seek God more earnestly, miraculously, his sight was restored. Thereafter he resolved to always honor God in all his endeavors.
He began workdays in his office with prayers and devotions, and named his business ‘the Service of the Master’, later shortened to ServiceMaster. The positive impact of following Biblical principles made Marion’s small business to experience astronomical growth and expansion.
By the end of the 20th century it was reaching $7.7 billion in annual sales. Today, it is a globally recognized enterprise which has established roughly 5,000 company-owned and franchised outlets in nearly 40 countries.
To experience overflowing blessings in our endeavors, we need to always give God the honor due to Him. In our lives, homes, businesses, careers, and in everything, God must take the first place.
God said in 1 Samuel 2:30, ‘For them that honour Me I will honour, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed’.
The more we celebrate God, the more He elevates us. And one way we honor God is by praising Him continually.
When we give God praise we are planting seed that will bring forth the fruit of His fearful acts in our lives, because God is fearful in praises.
As we engage in tireless thanksgiving, we will experience the overflow of endless miracles.
To experience positive turnarounds and supernatural expansion let us be deliberate in honoring God in all our endeavors.
God moves mightily in any place where He is continually being celebrated.
Today, as we bless Him for how far He has brought us this year, certainly we will see greater blessings and wonders in the coming days. Therefore as we step into this new week, let us join the host of Heaven in praise and to proclaim ‘..Unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.’ [1 Timothy 1:17].
PRAYER: Lord, please enable me to always conduct my affairs in a manner that will only bring glory to Your Name. As I do, I thank You for the overflow of Your blessings in every area of my life in Jesus’ Name.
