Marissa Henley is an author and speaker who is a survivor of a rare breast cancer.
In 2010, after her diagnosis, she faced fear and discouragement..
While being treated at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, she often cried because there was a high possibility she might die and leave behind her three little children; the oldest was just 6 years old.
But in the midst of her despair, she looked up to God and put her faith in His Word.
Miraculously against all odds, by the following year, 2011, she survived the cancer and her health was fully recovered. This healing became a major milestone in her life
Thereafter, she was required to keep semi-annual medical check-ups to scan for cancer recurrence.
This check up can be so daunting for cancer survivors that it is called “scanxiety”. Usually as Marissa approaches her own Scan Day, fear would sometimes creep up in her heart, that the scan could find something wrong. At those times, she counters the fear by deliberately reminding herself of her miraculous healing in 2011 and how God has preserved her so far. Calling to mind God’s past miracles and faithfulness in her life, has helped her to stand in faith and receive only positive results from the many rounds of scan over the years. Today, , she has remained healthy and continues to share her testimony of God’s faithfulness through various media platforms.

In times of discouragement or fear, you need to go back to your history with God. Remember key miracles in your life and how God came through for you at those critical times. Certainly, what God has done before, He can do again!
Calling to mind the past faithfulness of God will strengthen hope in you. [Lamentations 3:21-23 ]. As we study God’s Word and see His past miracles, we are empowered to stand in faith in the face of any storm.
When David was to face Goliath, he confidently declared, “The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:37).
We serve the covenant-keeping God who has a track record of keeping His Word.
In Deuteronomy 20:1 God told the Israelites that when they go to war and see an army greater than theirs, they should not be afraid, because just as He delivered them out of Egypt, He would l deliver them again from their enemies.
Truly, God does wonders without numbers. Whatever you may face today, trust God to deliver you again just as He has done before. . When you do your part by standing in faith, God will always do His part by bringing the miracles you need . Always remember the battle is the Lord’s! As you give Him worthy praise, He will defeat your goliaths and cause you to ascend the throne He has ordained for you.

PRAYER: Lord, I am grateful for Your many miracles in my life and I know You are set to do even greater things for me in the coming days. I thank You for Your amazing faithfulness to me in Jesus Name.
