In early 2001, flooding affected over 335,000 people in Malawi. This destroyed crops, homes and possessions, and displaced thousands of people.
One of the families greatly affected was the Kamkwamba family who were farmers in the village of Masitala, in Malawi. Their 14 year old son, William had to drop out of school because of the resulting financial crisis. However having been taught faith by his Christian parents, William decided to trust the Lord to make a way for his education. He resorted to educating himself by frequenting the public library. One day, he came across a book titled ‘Using Energy.’ Though he could not understand much English, he followed the picture illustrations to try out the principles of electric generation from this book. This boy, who had never seen a computer, surprisingly, was able to build a windmill using materials collected from a local scrapyard.
He built a windmill powerful enough to run lights and water pumps for his poor village in Malawi.
His ingenuity caught the eye of a journalist who wrote about him. This brought fame to young William and attracted financial support that enabled him to return to school after a 5-year lapse.
William went on to become an international innovator, engineer, and author. His story has been captured in books and made into a Netflix movie.
William Kamkwamba continually credits God for his success and the inspiration that led to his inventions.

You may have been born into a disadvantaged background where it appears you were limited right from the start.
But even in the midst of what looks impossible, God is able to manifest Himself to you as a way-maker and barrier breaker. He can raise you up from the low places of life to sit with princes [Psalm 113:7-8].
Through faith in God, William Kamkwamba refused to accept his negative “fate” in life. By doing what he could with the little that he had, God multiplied his efforts.
Likewise, as you trust God and keep pressing forward, God will open for you doors no man can shut. He will cause you to be the one who blazes a new trail and breaks the barriers in your family.
God will use you to stop generational curses and start generational blessings.
Therefore, today, regardless of your current circumstances, determine to keep following God faithfully because He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. As you maintain your faith walk, soon you will experience a miraculous turnaround, divine acceleration, and breaking forth to enviable realms of exploits.

PRAYER; Lord, I know that You are in perfect control of my life. Please help me to always walk in faith, so that I can experience Your great plans for me. I know You will certainly exceed all my expectations this year in Jesus Name.
