In his book ‘How to Keep Your Healing’, Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin shared the story of a 37 years old man who had been born with a deformed foot and a leg that was about four inches shorter than the other. He couldn’t walk without crutches due to his crippled condition. But when he attended one of Kenneth Hagin’s healing meetings, he got miraculously healed.

His crippled leg grew out to the same length as the other, and his deformed foot straightened out. After his hearing, for the first time in his life, this man was able to wear a matching pair of shoes.
His joy was boundless as he began walking normally like other people. However, few weeks later, this man was walking on a street when suddenly a pain hit him in the ankle, and the foot that had been healed suddenly twisted back to its crippled shape.
The pain was so excruciating that he almost fell down. He found he could no longer walk normally again..
This man just sat down on the sidewalk, lifted up the deformed foot with his hands and yelled out loud, ‘No, you don’t, devil, you don’t put that back on me! God’s healed me!.’ As soon as he said that every symptom immediately left and his foot returned back to a normal shape. Through his declarations of faith this man stopped the devil from returning the affliction and he was able to maintain his healing.

James 4:7 says when you submit to God and resist the devil, he’ll flee from you. Through faith in God’s Word, we can successfully stop the devil’s attempt to cause affliction to arise a second time. Through His death at the cross, Christ has given us the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over every power of the enemy. While so much has been given to us through redemption, we must be willing to engage in a fight of faith to claim our portion.
In Joshua 1:3 God told Joshua, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you”. Although the promised land been given to Joshua, he still had to fight to possess it.
We must fight the good fight of faith to come into the victory that belongs to us in Christ. It has been declared that this is your year to break forth on every side. But you have to war with the prophecy to see it become a reality. This is your year to be victorious, healthy, prosperous, and blessed beyond measure.

Therefore refuse any contrary thing the enemy tries to put on you. Don’t just accept any negative condition that comes your way. Arise in prayer and resist the devil by standing firm in faith, and claiming victory by the Blood of Jesus. God’s promise in Deuteronomy 31:6 says ‘Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He it is that doth go with thee.’

Surely, God is with you in every battle you may face today. Through the Blood of the lamb and the Word of your testimony, you will emerge an overcomer. As you constantly build up your faith for victory through studying God’s Word, you will be indefatigable. This year, by God’s grace, nothing will hinder us from living in wholeness, sound health, prosperity and all round blessings!

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for victory You have given me through the Blood of Jesus. As I commit to walking in faith, please move supernaturally in my life to do exceedingly above all I could ever ask or imagine, in Jesus’ Name.
