Isaiah 48:18 [AMP] “Oh, that you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your peace and prosperity would have been like a [flowing] river, And your righteousness [the holiness and purity of the nation] like the [abundant] waves of the sea.’

Barry Blaze was the son of a Baptist pastor. As a teenager, he became attracted to the club scene and became involved with illegal drugs. During his first year at Liberty University in Detroit, Michigan, he had an encounter with Christ that turned his life around. His interest in music led him in 1988 to form a music band named ‘Code Of Ethics’.
In the 1990’s, Barry Blaze became a popular figure in American Contemporary Christian Music as his band recorded number one Christian radio hits. In early 2000, Barry kept rising higher in his musical career and the future really looked bright. But unexpectedly, everything changed on 1st May 2004 when Barry had a serious accident with his bike.
That day, it was raining slightly and Barry was about to drive out onto a bridge when he clearly heard the Holy Spirit tell him to pull off the road. Barry didn’t obey the strong divine prompting because he was in a hurry to get home. As soon as he got on the bridge, there suddenly came a strong wind with heavy lightning that sent Barry crashing headfirst into the bridge’s concrete barrier.
His head hit the bridge so hard it split his helmet, broke all the bones in his ears, ruptured his eardrums and severely damaged both his eyes. Rushed to the hospital, doctors gave him no chance of survival, but Barry made it through the night. From then, he began a battle to save his life as specialists performed multiple surgeries on him. His recovery was long and challenging.
But through it all Barry kept praying and trusting God. Eventually God answered his prayers, he recovered miraculously against all odds, and returned back to music where he continues to praise with his songs.
Many of us struggle with giving God full control of our lives. We want to do things our own way, and follow our own inclinations. But the truth is that we live in a world where the enemy goes about looking for whom to devour.
We would therefore be bankrupt if we don’t bank on God’s grace. While we desire greater breakthroughs and opportunities, we must also realize that new levels also attract new devils. As you rise higher on the ladder of success, so also does the enemy work harder to try to pull you down. Our prompt obedience to God is what guarantees us divine protection and progress. As we follow
His divine guidance, we can never be grounded. When God’s grace is at work, the lines will always fall for us in pleasant places. Even when we make mistakes, as we turn to God in repentance He will restore and rebuild us. God is a potter who is able to turn that which was marred into something amazing.
He is the God of second chances, who prefers to mend rather than to rend. When Jonah disobeyed God’s first instruction and suffered the consequence of disobedience, God still gave him a second chance(Jonah 3:2). And as Jonah became obedient, God used him powerfully in Nineveh.
Indeed God knows how to fix our lives. He can make miracles out of your mistakes and turn your mess into a message.
In this season as we remain willing and obedient to God’s will, certainly we shall eat the good of the land and keep breaking forth to unprecedented levels of glory.

PRAYER:
Lord, please enable me to spend quality time daily in Your Presence so that I can become sensitive to Your divine leadings. Thank You for the grace and strength to always promptly obey You in Jesus Name.
