Martin Luther is one of the most influential and controversial figures in the history of Christianity. He was a German monk who began the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century.
He saw the need for reformation after observing some wrong teachings, in the Catholic Church to which he belonged. He made a list of 95 theses and on October 31, 1517, nailed them to the door of the Catholic Church in Wittenberg, Germany.
Luther’s action awakened the people to a spiritual revolution and led to a period in history known as the reformation. During this period Christians made drastic changes in their ways of living and many of the wrong practices in the Church were stopped.
This reformation period birthed a new generation of believers who were fervent in spirit and diligent in their work. The new work ethic then led to the development of capitalism, which eventually helped to usher in the industrial revolution. The Industrial Revolution affected the way products were made and distributed. From England the Industrial Revolution spread to other European countries, the United States, and Japan. The Industrial Revolution birthed changes that continue to affect civilization today. Because of it we enjoy public healthcare, transportation, technology, freedom of religion, political democracy etc.
It was the spiritual Reformation that first changed people’s lives and attitudes and prepared the ground for the industrial Revolution that changed the world.
A right spiritual positioning will always attract blessings from Heaven.
In 1 Kings 18:30-39, before the fire could fall, Elijah had to rebuild the broken down altar of God. But after rebuilding it and offering sacrifices on it, the fire of God fell from Heaven and there was a revolution in the land.
Revolution refers to drastic changes. We will experience such definite changes when we become willing to pay the spiritual price of aligning ourselves with God’s will..
It was living right before God that took Joseph from prison to the palace and took David from being a shepherd boy to become the king of Israel. To experience drastic positive changes we need to move up higher in our prayers, study, fasting, praise and sacrificial giving. When we make the necessary adjustments, we will see the miracles we desire. The price of obedience may not be easy, but the harvests will always be worth it. Though weeping may endure for a night, certainly joy comes in the morning. They that sow in tears, will at the end, reap in joy.(Psalm 126:6).
Today as we make the sacrifice to walk in line with God’s Word, certainly we are going to break forth to new realms and experience amazing revolutions.. Our tearful seeds of obedience, will result in fearful harvests of blessings, miracles, signs and wonders.
PRAYER: Lord, please show me the necessary changes I need to make in my life to experience a positive revolution and supernatural change of story in Jesus Name.
