Romans 8:37 “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. “

DAILY READING; Matthew 25, Numbers 29, Songs of Solomon 7

From birth, Charles Parham had battled various ailments that often brought him close to death. But miraculously God always delivered him. At nine years of age, he felt called to preach and began to prepare himself by studying God’s Word and praying.
However, at age sixteen, when he entered the university to study medicine, he became negatively influenced by the secular environment around him and began to backslide.
As he abandoned his call, he soon contracted rheumatic fever. After suffering for months, a physician visited his bedside and pronounced Parham near death. In that dying moment Parham remembered his calling to preach the Gospel.
Unable to pray coherently because he was sedated with morphine, he simply began reciting The Lord’s Prayer. When he came to words “…Thy will be done in earth as it is in Heaven,” his mind suddenly cleared. As he accepted God’s Will for his life, he was instantly healed.
He then decided to quit school to enter full time ministry. Parham held his first evangelistic meeting at the age of eighteen. As he faithfully followed God’s call, he began to experience extraordinary visitations of power in his ministry. The blind, lame, deaf and all manner of diseases were miraculously healed and multitude of souls were saved through his preaching.
He became a key figure in the spread of Pentecostalism in the 20th century. And he is celebrated today as the ‘father of the Pentecostal’ Movement.

A divine call from God must be taken seriously .
It is not fun fare, rather it is serious warfare. It is something you approach with soberness and a determination to succeed by all means.
Like, Charles Parham, there are some believers , who through exposure to negative influences or experience decide to give up on following God’s call. However no matter the cost, nothing should ever discourage us from pursuing God’s assignment for our lives.
When we are called by God, we must do everything to abide in our calling because that is our place of safety ,security and success.
It is a fact that anyone that has God’s call upon him, would often be targeted by the enemy. Many temptations and trials would be sent to derail or destabilize you from your vision and mission.
But in all these we are more than conquerors, because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world
God’s call is always accompanied by His divine backing.
No matter how the enemy fights, if you can only keep walking in obedience to God’s Word, you will surely succeed at last.
In these last days every believer is called by God to a particular assignment..
It is time to focus and seriously pursue our call. We must begin to get ready to be used mightily by God in reaping the end times harvest of souls. Let us therefore prepare through studying the Word, fervent prayers fasting, praise and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. As we prepare adequately God will indeed anoint and equip us to fulfill His divine purpose in these last days.

PRAYER: Father I thank You for delivering me from everything hindering me from answering Your call upon my life. Through the Blood of Jesus I receive the power and grace to fulfill Your divine will for me in this season in Jesus Name.
